I need to adjust the height of the canvas.

How do I do that?
I can center a box at the center of the canvas, but that was an exercise. I really ned to center a bung of boxes along the centerline.

I also ned to select an individual box so I can move it up to down to align it visually to the place I want it.

I see how to create a rectangle and how to place text on the page. I can even add it to the rectangle. But I want the text to travel with the rectangle, as I move it around.

I added this box an see how I can change its size an location on the right side controls.

How do I just center the box on the centerline of the page?

Need to change the color of a logo. It consists of black letters (as graphic images), and the image background is removed. Tried to use quick select the area of each character in order to change the color, but the selection is not precise enough. Changing each pixel manually seems to be a too long way to go.

Is there a way to change a single color (in this case black) to another color (in this case white) in an image?

Using Adobe CS6
I create my PDF's using Word and that is my "source" version of the document.

I need to enable the PDF user to click a link on the PDF and jump to the next spot on that same PDF. How do I do this?

Does this mean I should add a Bookmarks to each destination in thePDF?

And, is there a "Back" button, to enable the PDF user to easily drop back to the prior spot? If so, how do I make that work?

I thought I was set when I learned Adobe supported a feature to open a PDF at a certain point:

But, I wonder how supported this is?

Please confirm if this feature really works and whether the current version of Chrome, at least, supports it.

And, how do I add such a tag using Word? I use Word as a source document, and could not bear to add 100 tags using Adobe, each time I updated my Word source doc.

I am running FMLE on windows 7.
For some reason, FMLE is not starting anymore.  I have restarted the computer numerous times, and have tried to start the script, but it keeps on failing.

Any suggestions?

I plan to get the 30-day free trial for Adobe Premiere and wonder if Adobe Premiere would replace Audacity (for me) for audio editing?

I have use Audacity for years to make my own recordings and am pretty handy with it. But if Adobe Premiere is good enough, I may have no need for Audacity.

Hi, my good friend (honestly) who is a photographer deleted his Lightroom catalog backups from the external hard drive AND emptied the trash on his iMac. Now when he runs Lightroom, the catalog is from February of this year and it is screwed up. I don't believe the photos have been lost. Is there a way to rebuild the catalog or get it back somehow?  Thanks for any help on this.
I have a pretty GIF file I placed into my PDF. Is there any way that GIF can be animated in the PDF?

I have the GIF hosted on my site, if that helps at all.

Worst case, I can have them click the image, which will open a browser to the animated version...

Background (inherited configuration)
- Client has a long standing history (years before our involvement) with "permissions" problems on their file servers.
- Came from Mac OS X 10.7.5 file server, formatted Mac OS Extended, Journaled, sharing AFP and SMB (only used by Windows users)
- Configured to user Open Directory, but integrated with Active Directory, OD groups containing AD Users primarily
- Only Windows PCs were bound to Active Directory
- Mac users frequently complained about access to files within folders where they were permissioned to access the entire share
  - When issue occurred they could not access files (or folders) where they previously had access, found exclusive access set
  - Mac users permissions were restored by propogating permissions down folder structure from the top of the volume

- Note: Users work directly from the server, and do not copy the files locally to work, Adobe appears not to "support" this in forums, but have not seen this posted officially

Background (since then)
- Client data was migrated on Windows Server 2016 servers, NTFS volumes and permissions
- Backups were moved from nightly Archiware P5 tape backups to a Replibit (Ubuntu-based) BDR on an hourly basis, which leverages Windows VSS writers
- Sharing configured with both native SMB for Windows and Acronis Access Connect AFP for Mac to allow for illegal characters and long paths
- Aronis Access Connect AFP was connected to from the original Mac server and copied …
Is there any other FREE design tools to design picture like rings, or other complicated things?
Hi All,

I'm having an issue opening up this application basically, in a nutshell, i click on the application & it closes instantly!!! has anyone else experienced this issue.
Ive checked the event logs & theres no entries at all.

Thank you all in advance
Looking to recreate something like this but wondering how to execute it?

I suppose you need the same camera angle and mask out frame by frame one of the scenes?  Is there an easier way to accomplish this?
I have 4 video on my YouTube Channel, and can see them listed on my iPhone7 and my Desktop when I click the "YouTube" icon on my website. My unique URL is the href for that anchor tag.

But it fails when I follow these steps from a Tablet (Note 4, running Kit Kat). It brings me to my Channel, but does not list any videos.

Is there a privacy issue blocking them?

When I load the browser and go to, then search for my channel, it works fine.

in photoshop CC 2017, I was a fan of sometimes using the filter gallery to create some photos for viewing. I liked the pencil sketch filter but as of late is giving me a peach background. I can't find anywhere where it says how to change the background let alone how to un-peach it. how can this be changed?
I have a book that is in PDF form which I could host on my website. What I hope to do is have links which point at specific pages on the PDF.

Is that possible?

I do not want the reader of my summary to need to search for a certain page, and would like it to be automatic.

It's like a page label I can add with HTML. Is this supported in PDF?
I assume PhotoShop cam make animate GIF's. If so, how?

What related technology would do similar?

I would need to add these to PowerPoint, display them on the web, etc.

Oh dear experts, please help me out for rid off the background or this .png

i do not have the propper tools, if any can help me i realy apreciate.
Hi, I know that this question is a bit dated, but it seems so foolish to discard an outstanding application that still has a huge amount of functionality and productive use.

Back in 2012 Adobe discontinued its "OnLocation" application that came bundled with its Premiere Pro Creative Suite, which was a live capture and scene setup application. It was actually a VERY nice tool. The problem is that it used Firewire 1394 ports to communicate. -- OK, fast forwarding to 2017, Firewire is a thing of the past, when it comes to DSLRs and Laptops.

My DSLRs all use USB and so do all my laptops. So, the problem is how does one connect a camera to Adobe OnLocation with devices that have USB ports rather than Firewire ports?

If anyone has found a way to connect DSLR cameras that have USB ports to your laptop's USB ports and have successfully used Adobe OnLocaiton, I would greatly appreciate your input and advice.

Again, I know that OnLocaiton has been discontinued. I also know its part of the CS5 Suite, which has also been superseded. However, you don't stop driving a car simply because the manufacturer no longer makes that particular model car. - My opinion is, if it is useful and serves a purpose, which OnLocaiton would for me, then trying to make it work would be a WIN for me.

Thank you for your constructive input.

I have a picture taken in front of a green screen. How can I remove the green screen and then add my own background in Adobe Photoshop. Note: I  am NO  expert in Photoshop. IF this is possible then please be detailed in the steps I need to take. Help/about indicates I am using Photoshop version 12.
I need to make a movie of my desktop with my own audio narration.

I have used Audacity and love it.

Is there a simply to learn tool that would let me record my desktop and either edit the audio with this tool or just let me edit the audio in Audacity?

There will be periods on no activity on my desktop, so I can adjust the age views to fit the edited audio.

Is Adobe Premier overkill? The cost is very high.
I am pretty good at recording my own voice and editing it to make it sound (almost) professional. So, I have not had to deal adjusting the volume of the whole track or a part of the track.

Now,I need to import MP3's and WAV files and integrate them into my audio script.

Aligning the start times is easy, but it would be nice to import the whole track and have the ability to MUTE the parts of the track I do not audible. This would enable me to have the entire track in the one Audacity file.

But more important, how do I adjust the volume of an entire track as well as boost and reduce the volume of certain parts of the track?

I have a HP Z200 workstation, model KK667ET with Nvidia Quadro 1GB graphics card
the processor is Core i5 660 @ 3,3 Ghz
16GB Ram installed (can't remember why exactly)

the workstation is primarirly used for photoshop, indesign

Every 2 years : the station is also used for database publishing which among other intensive tasks includes importing 3.000 Pre Press images as BLOB into a DB file.  Total size of the DB is 8GB.

Needless to say, when this import is started, all other running processes, have to been shut down in orde not to freeze on import.

It is time for me to reinstall this PC as it has not been done in years and has become slow.
Little has been done over the years to boost performance :

Bios Upgrade
Kingston 256GD SSD Now V2 installed

Since upgrading to a new PC is not an option, i'm looking for the best performance upgrade for this workstation

these are my options :

- install 2 cheap SSD's and use the built in raid controller on the motherboard
- Purchase the biggest processor still available for this motherboard (i have no idea how to figure that out)
- purchase an SSD that can be used on the PCI ports available

i'm no expert to which would boost performance the most,
Primarily goal is the speed up  working with the large database files since this has to be done more often.
