Adobe Dreamweaver

Adobe Dreamweaver is a web development tool featuring both WYSIWYG and code editors that allow the user to quickly and easily build websites in a wide variety of languages, including ASP, ASP.NET, ColdFusion and PHP. It also offers support for CSS and JavaScript.

I created a 'brochure' website with Dreamweaver CS6 and PVII addons many years ago.
It looks fine on a desktop and laptop and is not too bad on a tablet.
It is however, it is very difficult to view on a mobile phone.

As a once-off project, I want to create a simplified mobile-only version
of the website (leaving the original www.site.ie as is.)
This mobile version would, I presume, be .... m.site.ie

I know a responsive/adaptive redesign of the entire site is the proper way to do the job,
but I am not prepared to do that near the end of my career for a single website.
(Besides .... the available budget is quite limited)

Do I need to insert a piece of  code in www.site.ie to redirect to m.site.ie?
Where is my m.site.ie stored on my hosting provider?
Any suggested tools & tips?

I use www.blacknight.com for my hosting.
Can anyone recommend web site editing software where I can work in code (and then see the rendered version as I make edits) AND ALSO where I can work in Design view dragging and dropping (with the SW showing me the corresponding code changes)
Win 10 64 bit
Apache 2.2
PHP v (unknown)
Microsoft SQL Serve 2008 r2 Express
Dreamweaver CC 2019

Ehem… I have little experience with PHP, but I can fumble around "reading" it, I can't program it.

Using Dreamweaver, I attempted to create a php test server with this locally hosted and previously functioning web back office.
I have since backed this out and will be attempting to use another machine on the network as the testing server.
Back office (web) comes with Point of Sale software. POS Software is functioning fine as WAS the back office until... my Dreamweaver experiment.

Since the attempted test server setup, and after a successful (not using Live View) Chrome localhost login I’m getting this:
"http://localhost/OCPOS/OCPOS/login.php" and the error of The requested URL /OCPOS/OCPOS/login.php was not found on this server.
The second "OCPOS" should not exist at all, and the file was never present to begin with, so why is it being requested?
I should be seeing a dashboard, and I'm not.

This login problem only happened after I mapped the files with Dreamweaver in site setup; again I have since backed this out.

Localhost – login file path:
C:\OCPOS\htdocs index.php - passes the request "header("location: OCPOS/login.php");"

login.php file path:
C:\OCPOS\htdocs\OCPOS - login.php (which looks to run a check on the user name and pword by a call to another "settings" file)
“login.php” also requests these
Dreamweaver 2019 CC
Win 10, 64 Bit, all patches current
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 r2 Express
SSMS installed using window for credentials
Apache installed

Installed is a software I sell and support for the Point of Sale industry.
Use localhost via Chrome to log into a "Back Office" usually used for reports for the end user / customer. I / we also use it for adding items ect.
1. Fully functioning installation.
2. Successfully login via Chrome "localhost" using default user name and password
Use Dreamweaver to edit webpages display - padding fonts and adjust some of the tabular displays.

No matter the page I chose - in Live Mode (NOT LIVE PREVIEW) displays the login page.

Live preview did ask for login - but then displays the page. I'd really prefer to not work in this manner - but if this is the only solution.

Kindly help me out. Thank you.

How to rollover over  photo image banner in my header with HTML and CSS only ?

I have very infrequent needs to create or edit websites.
In the past I've used Dreamweaver but it's really too old to install on Windows 10 so I'm stuck with it on Windows 7.  I'd like to replace it.
Also in the past, I've used tools that the hosting company provided.  That turned out to be most unfortunate as the tool I had used was, one day, just gone.  And gone for good I might add.  So I'm very leery of using tools hosted by the hosting company and would like to stick with a local app.

Suggestions?  I don't want to spend much money on this because I rarely need it.
I looked at WordPress but it seemed too "bloggy" ... if that makes sense?
I've volunteered to be the webmaster for Dreamweaver site, though I haven't developed anything in Dreamweaver for 7 years. I've run into a footer that needs to have  the copyright date changed, but the footer is not Editable:
non-editable data
This doesn't seem to be in a template so I can't go to the templates folder and edit it there.  (There is a templates folder but it only has one file and it doesn't contain this text.)  Could someone tell me how to make this footer area editable so I can change the copyright date? And, of course, it would be nice if I could just edit it in one place to change all the footers.

I am needing to compress images in my media library for WordPress and when I try to upload the changed images I get this message:

The original file is 25K and the compressed file is 19K.  This isn't much but I have lots of images that will need to be uploaded in the same manner.  In which the only thing that will be different is their file size.

Please tell me how I can get this accomplished thru Dreamweaver CC 2018.

I am getting an error trying to update CC 2018 Dreamweaver.

I need to remove the existing folder according to the log file.

In the past, I never got this error so I am not familiar with the steps to resolve this problem.  It seems that renaming the file should be a good fix but when I do, I get the message I don't have admin privileges.  However, I am the only user and the computer says I have admin privileges.  So what am I missing?
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and want to display two handbooks beside each other, preferably in the same window/view. Is that possible somehow? Perhaps by merging them first, or any other way? Optimal would be if I could synchronously scroll page by page.

I found this solution so far, which seems good:

Or this is perhaps easiest:

Seems like I would need to purchase PDF Expert though. Isn't this feature available in my Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, to split view and view two PDFs side by side? I think there is something called Compare Documents, but I am not sure it works for my 250 pages in each PDF.
Can not find my Square Marquee Tool

I only see the following...

No Square Marquee
I removed the file for Photoshop preferences

and restarted PhotoShop.

But the tool never arrived.

I have 2017.1.1 for a Mac
pdf showing as chrome html file. how to instead show as adobe pdf document?
Need to update our intranet. Just a site with 20 pages of pictures and links. Its all internal on a Server 2008r2 box. They used a old copy of dreamweaver to update it. With the new updates of pictures and formats showing links using dreamweaver is not working out. Just trying to get things centered and having the pics fill the background and so.

Is there an easy html software for this? One that is not going to require downloading plugin's and so on. Just straight html that can be uploaded to the server after creating. Simple easy!
Cannot find a way to implement WHERE ADDRESS IS NOT NULL, or even ADDRESS IS NULL.  Here is the recordset:

FROM xx###_180101
WHERE LASTNAME LIKE '%varLname%' OR  FIRSTNAME LIKE '%varFname%' OR MAIDENAME LIKE '%varMname%' OR CITY LIKE '%varCity%' OR ZIP LIKE '%varZip%' OR EMAIL LIKE '%varEmail%' OR YEAR LIKE '%varYear%' OR DECEASED LIKE '%varDeceased%' OR ALUMNI_ID  LIKE '%varAlmnID%'

Have tried several ways of including IS NOT NULL and IS NULL into this syntax, but all has failed.

Yes I know, DW MX is old.  But so is the server.  This is not the problem.
I have an editor that is putting in many  's in the source code it is creating.  I have been unable to stop the insertion of the strings but I do need them removed.

Here is an example
<tr><td align="left" style="color: #6e6f74; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 10px; text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.theherbsplace.com/onsale" style="color: #5583c7;" target="_blank"><img alt="Nature's Sunshine" src="http://image.exct.net/lib/ff2c1c757166/i/4/096bf034-0.jpg" style="border: 0px; display: block;" /></a></td><td align="right" style="color: #6e6f74; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; padding: 0px;" valign="middle">

I have an Ubuntu 16.04 LAMP server running Wordpress and vsftpd.
I am running Dreamweaver CS6 from my Windows 7 PC on the same LAN and have configured as follows:
Site Name: Wordpress
Local Site Folder: C:\Users\<myuser>\documents\wordpress
Server Name: Wordpress
Connect using FTP
FTP Address:
Username: wordpress
Password: <password>
Testing Server
Server Model: PHP MySQL

The development and testing server are one and the same.

I am attempting to edit a Wordpress theme so I have selected the theme's index.php from the remote server and I can successfully view the code. When I click "Live View" in Dreamweaver I get the message "This page may have Dynamically-related files that can only be discovered by the server" and I'm prompted to click "Discover". When I do this a message is returned "Dynamically-related files could not be resolved because of an internal server error. Retry"

I don't understand what this error means or how to get Live View to work.

I'm using Dreamweaver CC.

I have a local server (on my PC) and I want to be able to publish files to a staging server and a live server.

From first glance, it seems that I can only "put" files from my local system to the remote server.

How can I set things up so I can choose to upload/publish/put a file(s) to either the testing/staging server or our live server?
Does the URL come from the networking file, or the personal file on Dreamweaver?  Does it matter?  Thanks in advance!

An editor is using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 to edit my video but does not know how to se the default image for the video.

When he text message me the video, I see it displayed the first frame of the video, ad it looks fine. When I copy the video and past eo my desktop, it's another story.

It shows the image which was the first frame on the video a week ago. I told him there was a way to set the default image frame of the MP4.

Is that true? Can't I specify how the MP4 looks when sitting on my desktop?

And if so, ow is this done with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017?

I would like to know if there is away to see how a website was made? I mean by Dreamweaver? or Wordpress etc?
I want to see if I can connect a Dreamweaver I have in my MAC computer to an external MS SQL Hosted elsewhere.
The application uses ODBC to connect to a MS SQL.
Are there ODBC connections for MAC ?  This way I could enter an external MS SQL DB.

I need to remove all indenting in split code view.  I am using a laptop screen and it is hard to transverse the split screen view and see the code to do the debugging I need to do.

Please help me remove the indenting.

adobe premier files saved as project (.prproj) , all files showing media player icon and not opening

In DW2017 there is Preferences > Interface

I was able to tweak the color of the code, but I can't seem to find how to change the background color.
There is "Dark" which is black, and there is "Light" which is white and there doesn't seem to be a way to use grey for example.
Any ideas ?
