Hi Experts

I'm running a risk by using Adobe Flash in my site ?

Could you detail why ?

Thanks in advance

After watching 5 or 6 episodes of drama.net  &  gooddrama.net  on my 32bit Win XP (2GB RAM X61)
or even on my 64bit Win 7 (4GB RAM  X201), the movies become choppy/laggy on the chrome.

Even restarting Chrome doesn't help & need to reboot Windows.  Why is this so & any way to
overcome this without rebooting?  I usually hibernate my Windows for faster bootup.

There are plenty of free disk space on both laptops plus some free RAM but the CPU tends to
be high after a while as shown by Task Manager?  Or is this due to video RAM running low?

My X61 is on SSD so don't think it's a disk IO performance issue

I suppose those sites require flash player : is this related to flash?

I have a website that was created with Flash.  So it does not work on Safari etc.  I have been asked to make a mobile friendly version of the site and was wondering if there is a simple way to use the existing code while stripping away all of the Flash elements or at least replacing them with static photos.

Website is hosted by BigCommerce.com    I am able to access the HTML header.  I can put in the code to play a MP3 file, however, when any link is clicked on, the page refreshes, and the music file starts over from the beginning.

I need some sort of music player to appear when the site is first visited, with a volume control and on-off, and a music file to loop.

Is there some HTML or javascript code that can be put in the header?

Thanks

I am calling webservice to see next and coming up games for a certain soccer club ( it is Icelandic :) ).  I have working fla file where I call for status in a tournament,  with one variable in the request ( the number of tournament)
The code from that file:
import alducente.services.WebService;
import flash.events.*;

var ws:WebService = new WebService();
ws.addEventListener(Event.CONNECT, connected);
ws.connect("http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?WSDL");
ws.cacheResults = true;
var initTime:Number;
function connected(evt:Event):void{
	ws.MotStada(done, "33903");	//called for "MotStada"(status in the tournament)"number of tournament",
}
function done(serviceResponse:XML):void{
	namespace soap = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/";
	namespace unnamed = "http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot/";
	use namespace soap;
	use namespace unnamed;
	trace("\nWeb Service Result: ");
	trace(serviceResponse);
}

But for this I need to put in more, as shown in the example http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?op=FelogLeikir
How is that done?
Here is what I have done so far:

import alducente.services.WebService;
import flash.events.*;
var ws:WebService = new WebService();
ws.addEventListener(Event.CONNECT, connected);
ws.connect("http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?WSDL");
//more info at http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?op=FelogLeikir
//Call for games coming up for a club

ws.cacheResults = true;
var initTime:Number;
function connected(evt:Event):void{
	ws.FelogLeikir(done,"107"); /*<FelagNumer>String=107, <VollurNumer>String=All/not defined,<FlokkurNumer>String=111,<DagsFra>String=date from today, <DagsTil>String=date after ca 2months */
}
function done(serviceResponse:XML):void{
	trace("\nWeb Service Result: ");
	trace(serviceResponse);
}

I use Firefox, but it happens also with Chrome and Opera.
I do not like IE.
I have the latest updates of the browsers and the Adobe Flash Player.
From time to time, often, when I play videos the browser crashes.
It happens often on YouTube, but also on Facebook.
It did not happen in the past.
My notebook is Thinkpad T410s, Win 8.1, 64 bit, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and works quite well.
Please provide some suggestions how to solve/correct the problem.

P.S. My PC is not a calm one, with the same programs long time steady. I install/uninstall, test different pieces of software. That may be the cause of the crash.
I never understood why the smart engineers from Adobe must update so often and so many times Adobe Flash Player. I really hate that.

Is it possible to supply viewers with a link such that when the click it the link the video will play in Full Screen mode immediately without the viewer needing to click on the "Full Screen" icon.

For an example of the video player being used, see: http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/1916-30003868/10528888/

Thanks.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have a Dell Latitude D610 laptop. A recently installed Win xp home sp3 OS.  Pentium M 1.73GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 60GB hard drive.

I want to leave it in my kitchen so for 99.9% of the time I can listen to WCBS-FM in NY from their live streaming page  (that .1% maybe I'd surf to a page for a minute.)

http://player.radio.com/listen/station/wcbs-fm

 (although I guess I don't care if it's the web page or an app (on win xp?)

I've tried with IE 8 (should I download all the patches / get to a newer version of IE?) and with Chrome.  When I open the page, the audio stutters and if you look at task manager, chrome has 4 chrome.exe processes (with just that 1 window for the streaming page), taking up lots of RAM and most of the time 100% of processor time. Again, this is a recently installed win xp sp3 using dell oem reinstall disk.  Under add / remove programs, all that's in there is the wireless NIC drivers.

In chrome, I deleted extensions that were there (google docs, etc.).  Is flash native to chrome? I didn't install chrome.

For IE, the page loads, but the player doesn't start (Flash isn't installed on the PC?)

Their streaming audio uses flash.

Are there settings / different apps I could use to get past this.  I really don't want to spend more on RAM.

casual surfing seems to be OK / the machine seems not that slow.

Pentium M 1.7GHz is old / weak, but just to listen to the radio, should it need a more …

Ive asked this question elsewhere but I dont have much faith they'll give me a helpful answer there, so Im asking here as well with higher hopes

Ive got a face picture and I want to contour the nose with a glowing line. Im not an expert in AE (I felt I needed to say that though its quite obvious) but I can draw the line around the nose with no problem, but I dont know how to make that line glow with another outer colour, if you get my meaning. The line would be white but Id like to make it glow with a blue tone in the outside of the line

Im sure theres an easy way to do it with masks and layers but Im buried with work and very stressed out so I can't figure it out without spending time I havent got at the moment.

 cheers for any help and if my question isnt clear enough Ill happily provide more info

Please look at the letter M below.
MI would need a video or a GIF made in such way that the points/electrons will rotate around letter M as electrons around nucleus. Then the letter R in circle, on the right side, to spin around its vertical axes.
What software do you suggest to use, if possible freeware?
Could you provide step by step guide how can I achieve that as simple as possible?

One of our WinPro7 machines keeps giving this error:

ArgumentError: Error #1063: Argument count mismatch on com.integralads.solution::Detector4IE/initStage(). Expected 0, got 1.

What should I look at? It seems to have started after an Adobe update a couple of weeks ago.

One of our remote users who logs in by VPN is having an issue where Outlook 2007 keeps asking for her password.  Her computer also keeps having an issue when browsing some, but not all websites, getting an error with Adobe Flash 20.  I bring that up because the Outlook password issue seems to have begun at the same time as the Adobe Flash error.

OS is Win7Pro
Outlook 2007 uses a .ost file

We have tried resetting her password.  The problem stops, but then resumes again the next day.

Should I scan for a virus and if so, what should I use?

I am trying to install Adobe Flash player on windows 2012 R2. ADOBE  page that pops up gives me a Test button for flash, when I click on it , it says check the ActiveX filtering if it is enabled  and the the flash player if it is enabled (it directs me to Manage add-on).
However ActiveX filtering is disabling on my IE browser and in Manage add-on window , there is nothing about Adobe Flash player.

Any help to get Flash player installed in Windows 2012 R2 ?

Thanks
