Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash) is a cross-platform multimedia and software platform used to embed animations, video, and interactive applications into web pages and desktop and mobile applications and games. Flash displays text, vector and raster graphics to provide animations, video games and applications. It allows streaming of audio and video, and can capture mouse, keyboard, microphone and camera input. The ActionScript programming language allows creation of interactive animations, video games, web applications, desktop applications and mobile applications.

I used LogMeIn Pro to remote into about 100 Workstations that are not on a domain.

It is time consuming to run Java Updates one at a time.

 Is there a way to automate java and adobe air/reader updates ...

preferably silently and without installing crap-ware?

All machines are at separate locations running Windows 7 Pro

Thank You

We have Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 PCs.

 We want all our users to get prompted the following when Flash Player is running (see attachment AdobeFlash.jpg)...
    This webpage wants to run the following add-on: "Adobe Flash Player" from 'Adobe Systems Incorporated".

 Although all our PCs are configured exactly the same, only the users in the IS Department get prompted.   We suspect it's because these users have local Admin rights.  Since we cannot allow our end users to have local Admin rights, we need to determine where these settings are stored so we can address the situation.

 Our IE settings should be correct (see attachment IEsettings.jpg).

 Can anyone tell us where these settings are stored?  Windows Registry or a configuration file or ???

I am looking for a recommendation for converting Flash (.swf) file to a video that can be played on YouTube (like mp4?).

I downloaded something called VMeisoft. It does nothing, I open a swf file, it just runs endlessly & does nothing. I let it run for over an hour.

Can someone recommend something else?

Thanks

I'm working on animating a pie chart. I've started with a hypothetical 60% chunk. Here's the fla... it's pretty simple, but in order to mask more than 180 degrees I had to use a movie clip for a mask, which seems to work fine but for one small thing... no matter how many timelines I put a stop action on, I get a repeating flicker that looks like looping to me at the end.

I've got a stop at the end of every timeline involved – even single-frame ones. I've put a trace on all these as well to make sure they're being hit, and they are.

Maybe my brain fell out, but I can see no earthly reason for the flicker on the swf upon export. I suspect the cause is simple, and am prepared to feel like an idiot (too late). Please, experts, tell me what's up here!

EDIT: Here is a link to the offending swf:

Hello. For security reasons we took away admin rights to our users for their desktops. This introduced a hike because they are now not able to do automatic Java and Adobe flash updates

What is the best practice to have this done automatically

Does Adobe have a products forum to ask questions and how-to questions? Or can anyone recommend a good one?

My OS is win 10 pro and I use the Edge for the internet.  Whenever the Flash Player is required for an App, I get the error to say that the Flash player is not installed and gives me the steps to update the settings in the Advanced Settings tab.  But I still get the same problem, and in another instance it said that the Flash was disabled.  How do I able this in Edge.  Thank u for your solution.

After watching 5 or 6 episodes of drama.net  &  gooddrama.net  on my 32bit Win XP (2GB RAM X61)
or even on my 64bit Win 7 (4GB RAM  X201), the movies become choppy/laggy on the chrome.

Even restarting Chrome doesn't help & need to reboot Windows.  Why is this so & any way to
overcome this without rebooting?  I usually hibernate my Windows for faster bootup.

There are plenty of free disk space on both laptops plus some free RAM but the CPU tends to
be high after a while as shown by Task Manager?  Or is this due to video RAM running low?

My X61 is on SSD so don't think it's a disk IO performance issue

I suppose those sites require flash player : is this related to flash?

I have a website that was created with Flash.  So it does not work on Safari etc.  I have been asked to make a mobile friendly version of the site and was wondering if there is a simple way to use the existing code while stripping away all of the Flash elements or at least replacing them with static photos.

Website is hosted by BigCommerce.com    I am able to access the HTML header.  I can put in the code to play a MP3 file, however, when any link is clicked on, the page refreshes, and the music file starts over from the beginning.

I need some sort of music player to appear when the site is first visited, with a volume control and on-off, and a music file to loop.

Is there some HTML or javascript code that can be put in the header?

Thanks

I am calling webservice to see next and coming up games for a certain soccer club ( it is Icelandic :) ).  I have working fla file where I call for status in a tournament,  with one variable in the request ( the number of tournament)
The code from that file:
import alducente.services.WebService;
import flash.events.*;

var ws:WebService = new WebService();
ws.addEventListener(Event.CONNECT, connected);
ws.connect("http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?WSDL");
ws.cacheResults = true;
var initTime:Number;
function connected(evt:Event):void{
	ws.MotStada(done, "33903");	//called for "MotStada"(status in the tournament)"number of tournament",
}
function done(serviceResponse:XML):void{
	namespace soap = "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/";
	namespace unnamed = "http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot/";
	use namespace soap;
	use namespace unnamed;
	trace("\nWeb Service Result: ");
	trace(serviceResponse);
}

But for this I need to put in more, as shown in the example http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?op=FelogLeikir
How is that done?
Here is what I have done so far:

import alducente.services.WebService;
import flash.events.*;
var ws:WebService = new WebService();
ws.addEventListener(Event.CONNECT, connected);
ws.connect("http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?WSDL");
//more info at http://www2.ksi.is/vefthjonustur/mot.asmx?op=FelogLeikir
//Call for games coming up for a club

ws.cacheResults = true;
var initTime:Number;
function connected(evt:Event):void{
	ws.FelogLeikir(done,"107"); /*<FelagNumer>String=107, <VollurNumer>String=All/not defined,<FlokkurNumer>String=111,<DagsFra>String=date from today, <DagsTil>String=date after ca 2months */
}
function done(serviceResponse:XML):void{
	trace("\nWeb Service Result: ");
	trace(serviceResponse);
}

I use Firefox, but it happens also with Chrome and Opera.
I do not like IE.
I have the latest updates of the browsers and the Adobe Flash Player.
From time to time, often, when I play videos the browser crashes.
It happens often on YouTube, but also on Facebook.
It did not happen in the past.
My notebook is Thinkpad T410s, Win 8.1, 64 bit, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and works quite well.
Please provide some suggestions how to solve/correct the problem.

P.S. My PC is not a calm one, with the same programs long time steady. I install/uninstall, test different pieces of software. That may be the cause of the crash.
I never understood why the smart engineers from Adobe must update so often and so many times Adobe Flash Player. I really hate that.
