One of our remote users who logs in by VPN is having an issue where Outlook 2007 keeps asking for her password.  Her computer also keeps having an issue when browsing some, but not all websites, getting an error with Adobe Flash 20.  I bring that up because the Outlook password issue seems to have begun at the same time as the Adobe Flash error.

OS is Win7Pro
Outlook 2007 uses a .ost file

We have tried resetting her password.  The problem stops, but then resumes again the next day.

Should I scan for a virus and if so, what should I use?

I am trying to install Adobe Flash player on windows 2012 R2. ADOBE  page that pops up gives me a Test button for flash, when I click on it , it says check the ActiveX filtering if it is enabled  and the the flash player if it is enabled (it directs me to Manage add-on).
However ActiveX filtering is disabling on my IE browser and in Manage add-on window , there is nothing about Adobe Flash player.

Any help to get Flash player installed in Windows 2012 R2 ?

Thanks

OK, this is kind of a long shot, but I'm having an issue that hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on...
A little background...

We have a device which controls some fuel pumps/gauges - had been working fine until we had some network issues a week or so ago... or timing may have been a coincidence.   The device (which is accessible via a browser) is located in a remote building in which a local radio company has hooked up with wireless access via antennas so it works like any other device on our network with an ip address.  We had some issues with the antennas about 10 days ago and the vendor had to come out an fix.  We can ping the address once again, and it pings fine (not quite as quickly as something attached via fiber or copper but ok speed). I can attach to this device using IE on two computers....   but not on others.  I've gone through every IE setting I can see, I've reinstalled Java, flash player but still not working.  the vendor says it should work in chrome but can't get it to work in chrome on any of the computers.   How do I troubleshoot this further....i'm stumped as to why it works on one computer but not another that is right next to it.   Using same user to login on both computers.   From what I can see everything is identical.  Is there a way to use wireshark, I'm not real familiar with it but someone mentioned it.

On the computers that it won't come up on, the Brower never errors out, just sits and spins like it is trying to load.  …

There are two things installed:

Adobe Flash Player 19 ActiveX      19.0.0.245      Adobe Systems Incorporated
Adobe Flash Player 19 NPAPI      19.0.0.245      Adobe Systems Incorporated

I'm able to script it and uninstall NPAPI but not ActiveX.        What is ActiveX one?   Is it just some plugin or something?

Thanks.

Hi Experts,

I need help with creating a script that will delete a registry entry based on entry name. Reason, we are having issues installing adobe flash through SCCM. Researching the issue, we found that rouge entries of Adobe 11 under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products is the cause, if we delete those entries and then deploy the latest version it works perfect.

The problem is that under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\ the next key varies based on the version of Adobe flash. So Adobe
(HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\A180D90768E45F34D976E6FA74EE85E5) could be version 11.0.0.226 and then it changes based on older and newer versions of 11.

Instead of manually going through half of our organization, is there a script that will run and delete entries under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products with the name "Adobe Flash Player 11 " as that is listed as product name under the key.

Thanks in Advance for you help.

Hi Experts,

If I create a package that rolls out successfully and then want to update the package with a new .exe, will that update the package and push the new exe out

In our environment we have only been able to push Adobe flash exe using the package. I have to create a new package every time there is a new release of flash. Can I just replace the exe and let it push out and install.

Thanks in advance for your help.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Browser: Firefox 41.0.2 (latest)
Plugin: Shockwave Flash 19.0.0.226 (latest)
Plugin: Quicktime 7.1.0.210 was disabled, so I upgraded to 7.7.8.80.95 (latest)
Adobe Flash is installed and updated on my PC

Website Page: http://www.TheChessWebsite.com/easypuzzle1/

I am viewing a chess puzzle page and there is a plugin needed. I cannot figure out what plugin, or why mine isn't working. Flash is updated as is the latest Quicktime installed.

Any ideas how to investigate and fix this?

We have a specific version of Chrome because we need it for some of the applications to work.  We copied the pepflashplayer folder from the newest version of Google Chrome and we replaced the same folder in the Google Chrome directory.  The reason why we did this, is because of all the vulnerabilities in the older versions Adobe Flash.  There was no granular way to just disable the pepflashplayer in an corporate environment so that the Google Chrome would pick up the system flash that we do keep updated on a regular basis.   The question is has anyone replaced the pepflashplayer.dll folder, and does it fully work?  We tested flash websites with this method and the sites were working.

How can I avoid the infamous exclamation mark enclosed in a circle for sites using the Adobe flash player?  I know that applications rewritten to use HTML5 don't have this problem but is there ANYTHING I can do to avoid the memory exhaustion for apps using the Adobe flash player?  The memory allocated to the application is used up quickly and the browser has to be closed and reopened to avoid the problem.

PowerPoint 2010 – some controls on this presentation can’t be activated.  They might not be registered on this computer.

Hello Experts,

Here’s the scenario: I’m embedding a flash video (.swf) file into a slide.  I can do it using the Shockwave Flash Object control in PowerPoint. The problem occurs after I save the PowerPoint file (.pptx).  When I try to open it again I get a message stating that PowerPoint found a problem and needs to repair the presentation.  If I click on repair I get the message: some controls on this presentation can’t be activated.  They might not be registered on this computer.

When I then open the slideshow the video does not load.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a presentation that needs to go to a client asap.  Thanks!

I've encountered numerous times on both my Win XP's Chrome as well as Win 7 Enterprse x64's
while watching videos in gooddrama.net :

launch the 1st episode in one tab & leave another tab of the browser to stream down the next episode
(to save on waiting time of downloading when I next go on to the next episode)

Often will get "Shockwave has crashed" message with a button next to it "Reload?"

if I don't have multiple tabs running at the same time, won't get this issue.

How can I overcome this?

Every time I open IE 11 on a website, I get the message--

"This webpage wants to run the following add-on: "Adobe Flash Player" from "Adobe Systems Incorporated".

Clicking "Allow" has no effect.

When I use Control Panel to search for "Adobe Flash Player", I don't see it listed. But I do see Shockwave Flash Object listed.

Downloading and installing Adobe Flash Player makes no difference: it continues to be absent and Shockwave Flash Object continues to be listed.

Help, Experts, please

Hello,

Over the last few weeks I have noticed that some videos when viewed in Firefox will cause my whole PC to freeze up.  I cannot Cnt-Alt-Del or do anything.  I am forced to do a hard reboot.

I don't know if this is a video driver problem, flash problem, or something else.  I am running Firefox 40.0.3.  I just upgraded it to 41.  My PC is Windows 7 64bit Pro.

On Sept. 20, along with many important updates, I installed the following optional update through Windows Update:

nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 v2

I cannot recall if the problem occurred before this update.  Could this be the cause? Please let me know what information you need to help debug/resolve this.

Thank you!
