Dear Experts,
I'd like to cache my flash movie on my html page, I do not want to download it again and again from the server when the page is called. Because, I will not change it for two weeks and the file is proportionally large. As far as I know, the browsers cache flash files, but I need to be sure..
I use https ( secure connection )
I wrote my html page like this. What do you think about it?

<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta http-equiv="pragma" content="Cache">
<title>My Title</title>

<body>
<object width="1366" height="768">

<param name="movie" value="upt_video.swf">

One of my users is trying to watch some webinars that requires the Adobe Connect add-in.  The issue is that after installing the add-in under their profile it does not work and they are prompted again to download and install.  If I install the add-in under my profile (I'm an admin), it installs correctly and works.  I tested by making the user a local admin of their machine and had no issue installing or using the add-in.  Once I removed the user from the local admins group I was back to square one.  Is there a way to make this work for a non-admin or is this a bug with Adobe's software.

Thanks for your assistance!

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

            I am wondering how I might can get an online video clip to playback in Google Chrome.  The link to this video of interest is http://magnum-mania.com/Video/New_Delhi_Lost.html.  Interestingly, it will playback just fine within Microsoft Edge of Windows 10, but, not Google Chrome.

            Any shared thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

            Thank you

Dear experts,

I have a windows 10 laptop.

I am looking for free/paid app which can enable me split pdf files, merge, or split/extract a section of the page and merge such sections into one new pdf page.

Mine is purely domestic use and i have no intentions to use such a sofware for any copy right violations.

This is for my scanned documents and editing pdf documents which I have paid for any website.

Earlier I have been recommended Wondershare  (https://www.wondershare.com). I am not sure if this can support my purpose.

Just as a note i am happy to get a paid version and avoid the malware/spyware getting into my system. I have Mcafee Total protection (subscription alive) on my laptop.

Kindly help.

Thank you

Experts:

I have discovered that I can easily convert my MP4 files into SWF files, and add the ActiveX control to my Excel 2016 XLSM file, but I have a couple of questions I'm hoping can be answered here:

1. I want a separate control to be placed on TOP of the SWF control, and have it be visible and available for use. I read that it is possible to set the ZMode to "Transparent" and that should allow me to accomplish this, but even when playing with the ZOrder property, I'm not having much success in this regard. What's particularly interesting here is shown in the attached example XLSM file. You'll see that if you move the mouse wheel that my command button briefly becomes visible, but once the movement stops, the buttons disappears.

2. I want to be able to SCALE the SWF video to fit inside the frame, and eliminate all white space. Both the original SWF file and its control have a 4:3 display ratio so I'm hoping this is possible. Ultimately, if we can solve Question #1, I would like to have the command buttons be on top of the SWF video and be clickable as well.

Please let me know if there is anything else you need!

I have some VBA Code in MS Access that grabs a PDF from an email in Outlook.  When I open these PDFs they show that they are in "Protected View" mode.   Next to this message is a "Enable All Features" button that removes the protection.

My VBA code loops through the PDF document and grabs the text from each field and then puts it in a table in Access.  Because the PDFs are protected, it's unable to grab any of the text from the PDF.

Is there a way with VBA Code to remove the "Protected View" mode from the PDFs once it is open, and prior to my VBA Code running?

Here is my VBA code:
Function GetFileText(strFilePath As String) As String
'IAC objects
Dim gPdDoc As Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc
Dim gAvDoc As Acrobat.CAcroAVDoc

'variables
'Dim gPDFPath As String
Dim sName As String
Dim lNum As Integer

'Initialize Acrobat by creating App object
Set gApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")

'Set AVDoc object
'gAvDoc = gApp.GetActiveDoc
Set gAvDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")

' open the PDF
If gAvDoc.Open(strFilePath, "") Then
    gApp.Show
    'Set PDDoc object and get some data
    Set gPdDoc = gAvDoc.GetPDDoc
    lNum = gPdDoc.GetNumPages
    sName = gPdDoc.GetFileName
    GetFileText = Acro_GetPageText(strFilePath, gPdDoc, gAvDoc)
End If

End Function

I have 62 workstations windows 7 and 10 some 32 some 64. We run and online application that relies on Adobe Flash. Right now all the end users are set to a standard user on their local workstation although they do log in with there domain account. When Adobe Flash has an update i have to log in via Log me in and update flash from the admin account. I am looking for an easier way to manage Adobe updates that doesn't require so much of my time. We use FireFox as the browser company wide as well.

I heard that Chrome is eliminating Flash.  The user tried right-clicking to enable flash on a particular site, and there was no response.

Is Flash gone for good on Chrome?  (Flash Control Panel shows latest plugin for other browsers is installed)

Thanks.

Some time back we had a tech that would create super fast animated movies with apps called "Flash" (not sure).  The produced file, extension *.swf, would then uploaded and it would be online.  Not only was for animation but also for standard stuff as menus, windows, forms, etc.

We are looking for something similar, easy to run and ofcouse free.

Please advice.

Starting FMLE only successfully starts the encoding about one foruth the time. It encodes only the first frame and then stops with no errors. I have eliminated network problems but choosing to encode only to a file with the same results. The workaround is I have to keep starting the encoding until it "takes." But this in not acceptable for automation. I have attached my startup.xml. startup.xml

I guess some my question my using flash at this time, but the WOWZA server I'm streaming to (which I don't control) re-packages the stream in non-flash formats for the actual players on the users' devices.

Using:
FMLE 3.2
Windows 10

Cloaking is a search engine optimization (SEO) technique in which the content presented to the search engine spider is different from that presented to the user's browser. This is done by delivering content based on the IP addresses or the User-Agent HTTP header of the user requesting the page.

matt cutts of google states that websites who have two different websites (one for google to see) are punished in the search engine

forbes.com does not show googleBOT a pay-wall or ask googlebot to sign up for their website

so forbes.com is cloaking

Is this word used anymore or does this word only apply to flash websites (no words) where a totally different text page was for bots to see

Shock Wave crashes alot. When we skip the reload or click the "X" the web page works fine after that.
Then why was Shock Wave needed to begin with and what to do to get rid of multiple crashes?

A client has a music course that includes video files, apparently in .f4v format. When a customer buys the course, they download the entire set of materials to their hard drive. To run the course, they open an HTML file, which opens a window or tab on their browser. The lessons are all listed in that window. They are given the option, for each lesson, to read the lesson, do worksheets and quizzes, and play the video file (which is locally stored).

Over the past few years the course has worked flawlessly.

Just recently (starting a couple of days ago) clicking on the HTML file opens the browser, but all he gets is a blank, grey full-sized browser window. There's nothing to click, no words anywhere, and no error messages. It doesn't matter which browser is used (tried Safari, Firefox and Chrome, all on OS X 10.11, and Chrome on Windows).

The .f4v files are definitely present on the local drive. Double-clicking any one of those opens Adobe Media Player, and the videos will play that way. But they will not play through the browser, as they always have in the past. Also tried a couple of copies of the course just in case there was a corruption. A couple of his customers have reported the grey screen too.

I've gone into the browser preferences (Security) and made sure that Flash videos are set to play. As far as I can tell, it's set up properly. Other flash-based videos will play. On Adobe's site, their flash animations will play.

Has something changed regarding the …
