Hi all -- I'm taking a quick straw-poll of tools that can be easily integrated into MS Access to provide better on-the-fly graphing capabilities. I'm OK with buying a license for something but it needs to be launchable/controllable from within Access, and it needs to work really well -- e.g., produce some nice-looking graphs and pie charts. If the graphs are clickable to show details, that's a bonus. For those of you who've been down this path before, what's your go-to and why? Oh, yeah -- I'm not considering Excel as an answer, either...! :)

Hi
On draftings fantasy head to heads, I have a strong suspicion that the people who do the best use Neural Nets, or a combination with rules based AI to choose their infallible teams. There are some accounts that are always winning.
Is this correct?
I can usually do pretty well on my own, but never stratospheric.
For NBA Fantasy, what would you use as my feed-ins to a neural net? and outputs? All available stats input-> some rating value system output? Does draftings provide sheets of stats? I'd need to include season results as they occur. Should I pick franchise player first and then build around that selection? Build up evaluation system of each player, game by game? But will they be a good choice against the opponent? It's not even clear which point guard will guard each shooter.  Is NBA not suited to fantasy AI ?

Should I break my NFL offense needs up into smallest blocks, eg offensive line, receivers/tight-ends, SA Spurs NBA center and guards? - and choose single positions based on prior-season stats, like QB, then ensuring none of my receivers are on my opposing defense's team to my QB? Cause you don't want choices to conflict, points wise

Thanks

Hello,

We have a few clients who use some custom apps on SQL at their locations. Now, we want to have these DB's replicate to say a Cloud server - so we can have full live copy there for some analytics we'd like to run on them. How can i get this done?

Normally I've seen MOS scores on a 1 to 5 point scale. But in Skype for Business Call Analytics they're expressed a decimal. e.g.

Average network degradation 0.009717 MOS

What are they saying? Is that a 4.93 MOS score?

I work for a organization with a large website. I have been asked to provide the following stats from 2016 about the website:

  • total number of web pages on our website
  • total number of page linked to a newsletter

Regarding bullet number two: A friend suggested that I use Campaigns to track pages being linked to newsletters, which I assume would mean creating a different campaign for every newsletter link. I can do that going forward in 2018, but that doesn't help me find the stats for 2016.

Can I retrieve the 2016 stats for both bullets from GA and how would I do so? If it can not be retrieved from GA, please offer suggestions on how I may find this information.

I have a database over 300,000 records long. Each record represents a different item. We have grouped similar items together utilizing a group ID number shown in the row label column of the attached file. Based on this group ID, I have a pivot table with over 57,000 rows.  The first row shows the group ID number. The next row shows the item description and in the column to the right, the total for that description. The majority of the rows show a single description per group ID number. However, some have multiple descriptions that differ. Each group ID number section ends with a total line. (Sorry, this is how I received the data.) Is there some method I can utilize to identify the group ID numbers that have multiple entries? (formatting, formula, VBS???) I need to validate each item description to ensure it is accurate on the group ID's with multiple entries only. I am currently scrolling down the list and visually identifying each group with multiple descriptions. I greatly appreciate any assistance. thank you for your time.

I would like to have better analytics of call quality over time. Is there any way to have a server at each site and run a nailed up simulated call between the two and gather metrics like loss, jitter, MOS, latency etc etc? Anything from MS? Other?

Hi,

I have built a small wordpress widget that floats in the bottom right hand corner of my client's website(s), so that their users can click it to make a payment to them... which simply redirects the user to my payment platform / website where my customer has an account.

FLOW - widget sits on clientwebsite.com and when they click it, the customer is brought to mysplink.com/abc (their payment profile on splink)

QUESTION
I need to be able to track how many users land on mysplink.com from a widget that sits on another site.

I was thinking of using something like mysplink.com/abc/ref=widget-abc and then i can view that in Google Analytics?

01 - would this approach be the best way to do this?

02 - any other advice on approaches would be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi all,

I need an idiots guide to tracking forwarded pages.  I understand most of the concepts, but the analytics interface is mostly a mess to my eyes.  Here are my intentions:

1) custom domain  example.com , example.com/1 and example.com/2 exist
2) each independent URL forward to the same destination contoso.com (where tracking is up and running fine)
3) Be able to track and trace the traffic hitting example.com, example.com/1 and example.com/2

Tools at my disposal:

1) Full access to analytics on example.com and contoso.com
2) Full domain access at the registrar level
3) Webserver control for example.com (using plesk, have Wordpress installed to it right now in an attempt to make it easier for client to do some of the page creation, but can abandon in favour of custom php pages index.php, 1.php and 2.php for instance)

If there is a clear and concise document(s) already written, please link.  When I go hunting, I find people with posts that tell half the story.

Cheers,

Does anyone have experience integrating Google Analytics tracking code into a SAS Web Portal? It seems that SAS doesn't really have the granularity to tell me exactly what my users are doing on each portal page and how they are interacting with each. Was hoping someone out there has had a whack at this previously.

I've found this which works on version 9.4M4 http://blogs.sas.com/content/sasdummy/2017/04/14/using-sas-to-access-google-analytics-apis/

I have 9.3 M2 and would rather just have the data pipe directly in to GA instead of having it come back to SAS as shown in the previous blog post

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

I'm working on an ad campaign management app. There's a feature there advertisers can assign caps for campaign based on spending or conversions in daily, monthly or lifetime basis and there would be multiple caps per ad campaign. As soon as one campaign reaches the 80% we will send notification to all publishes and once caps are reached we have to stop the campaign immediately. We're receiving thousands of event per second. Currently what i'm doing is querying reporting table every second but it's quite inefficient and sometimes campaigns already exceeded the caps when I detect it. So my question is;

What're the existing efficient programmatic or architectural solution's in industry to handle these kind of situations?

Can anyone describe their experience with embedding powerBI visualzations into a website?  I want to have client specific visualizations that show up when they log into the website.  (Probably using HTML5)  Thoughts?  What concerns me most was the description from the powerBI website about publishing to the cloud.  It is imperative that only the client can see their graphs...

Thank you,

Fox

Hi,
I need to analyse database and know how many records by fields and percentage of it or percentage of records vs blank.
Important thinhs, this db has one table with 250 fields.

I started with PowerPivot, I then jumped on PowerBi and I just heard that tableau was easier and more accessible for business at the end.
Im a bit lost. What would you reckon ?
Thanks a lotfor your help

I am using IP camera and getting images based on the alarm.  I have a question on this,

Can we mark assets area and do the image analytics with the reference image and find missing assets.

This is only to deduct missing asset (like missing ups, intercom, notebook)

-  We can keep a master image consider as a template with all the assets
-  Whenever changes happen like replacing, missing marked items - need to mark the missing items in red color and need to alert the administrator.

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community.

This may be easy.
I have one worksheet that shows total quantity of sales.
Then I have another worksheet that shows total quantity of sales and is filtered based on the filter franchise.

On my dashboard I have both.
On the filtered worksheet I have total quantity of sales for the filter franchise.

Worksheet 1 Name: ES - TOP LEVEL KPIs
Worksheet 2 Name: ES - FRANCHISE BUBBLE

My calculated field on both worksheets is SUM(Sell out Quantity).

Ultimately I want to total:
SUM(Sell out Quantity) from ES - FRANCHISE BUBBLE /Total SUM(Sell out Quantity) ES - TOP LEVEL KPIs = % of Total Quantity
117,193  / 1,579,040  = 7%

I want to add a % of total in my tool tip.
Due to the filter I am unable to get an accurate calculation.

Is there an easy way to do this?

OBIEE on Windows server.

Step1: Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)
Step2: When creating a 'System DSN', we are not seeing any 'Oracle BI Server' driver, which otherwise should appear with OBIEE client installation.

Please advice.

But my question how we can handle the duplicate videos being uploaded , clippping or cropping of  video can be allowed with another version Any API which we can use to handle the duplication of the videos based on the same content

Good Day and thank you all in advance for your time!

Our database is fleshed out working great! and while my team and I would love to bask in that a bit longer, now we are  being asked to actually show them some meaningful data in a clear and "cool" way....

We just want to try out some solutions and are being told by some we have to pay up front...just to try.

Does anyone know of a solutions that allows for drill down? For example, the visualization starts as a map. clicking on a city in the map reveals a  map of only the locations in that area, clicking on one location reveals the metrics relevant to that location and so forth.

If you could help narrow down our list possible solutions by who might offer this feature, it would be VERY helpfull.

thank you all again!

since am applying the direct formula am not getting the correct answer.

1 - 2 = Ans
