Analytics is the discovery and communication of meaningful patterns in data. Especially valuable in areas rich with recorded information, analytics relies on the simultaneous application of statistics, computer programming and operations research to quantify performance. Specifically, areas within analytics include predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, enterprise decision management, retail analytics, store assortment and stock-keeping unit optimization, marketing optimization and marketing mix modeling, web analytics, sales force sizing and optimization, price and promotion modeling, predictive science, credit risk analysis, and fraud analytics.

I've been tasked to "install an ODBC connector on our Timeslips 2018 Firebird database" so that the new analytics vendor can "access the raw data for analysis".  I'm happy to do this if it is a valid operation, BUT I have no clue how to do it.  Any articles, videos, contacts or guidance is greatly appreciated.  I assume the ODBC connector/driver/utility would need to be installed on the server computer where the Timeslips database resides.  Besides that, I am at a loss.  Is this a common and simple operation OR am I just going to be beyond my depth?  If so, who to contact?

I'm trying to create a custom Google Analytics custom report that shows the following by date range: Organic Search, Direct Traffic, Referral, Social, Email, PPC and also somewhere in the report show the PPC spend.

Let me know if this is possible and how to do it.  I've not used custom reports much.

I have created a query/agent job and I want to turn it into a ssrs report where the user can select parameters from drop down menus.

My question is, what tool should I choose to create my first report of this kind?  It seems like all 3 below will work, (different means to the same end) I just want to pick a good one as a starter.

1) Native tools on report server url?
2) SSDT?
3)1.BIDS ( Business Intelligence Development Studio 2010)>

Hi,  would like to seek all your expertise to recommend a free open source tools that can become clustering on Survey data,   the enterprise tools like SPSS, SAS etc are overkill as our data are less than 1-2K, and what we need to do is chunk all the verbatim questions, comments or forum threads into topics,  sub-categories, categories

I had tried Lexalytics in the past still not what we want for end users (general casual user),    as most of the time we will be inputting our own lexicon and feed to this tools,  so the default taxonomy, lexicon library may not be accurate after the 1st run

best that this tool is on premises (without internet connection)

Thank you all

Hello All,

Hope someone clarify the error I have in my STIDF data plot.
I'm reading through related questions but no solution fixed my error.

I'm working on STIDF  and I want to use stplot and spplot but it seems spplot is not suitable for STIDF.

When I use stplot I always get this error:

    Error in `levels<-`(`*tmp*`, value = if (nl == nL) as.character(labels) else paste0(labels,  :
      factor level [2] is duplicated

Here's how my data in STIDR data type looks:

Lat         Long       sp.ID       time                                 endTime              TimeIndex     Speed    Station_ID
    41.71268  -87.64341    1      2017-07-01 00:00:00   2017-07-01 18:00:00       1                    86           2
    41.47268  -87.35281    2      2017-07-01 00:00:00   2017-07-01 18:00:00       1                    35           5
    41.71268  -87.64341    3      2017-07-01 01:00:00   2017-07-01 18:01:00       2                    43           2
    41.47268  -87.35281    4      2017-07-01 01:00:00   2017-07-01 18:01:00       2                    55           5

I think it's related to my ID variable but I have duplicated station ID because I have hourly reading for each location , so ID will be repeated in my dataset.

I tried this code but I still have the error message,

 STIDF_jour$Station_ID <- factor(STIDF_jour $Station_ID, levels = rev(unique(STIDF_jour $Station_ID)), ordered=TRUE)

Hi

I have below scenario and need help to address this issues. What would be your approach to solve this problem in bullet points or brief summary like  what is your assumptions, explain your analysis approach and chosen analytics techniques, expected output results, what recommendations do you suggest,do you see limitations

1. How would you assess the impact of weather on consumer spend last winter?

2. How would you determine if a specific block in your neighborhood is suitable for a new grocery store?

3. Bank XYZ has created a new credit card product, how would you determine the targeting strategy?

4. Bank XYZ  has observed declining credit card sales volumes in their core markets. How would diagnose the cause and what potential remediation’s may be put in place (if any)

5.  Credit Card company recently announced a new partnership with a key tech company. How would you quantify the per customer incremental value of this partnership?

Thanks

I have start date of an agreement and their total sale. I’m trying to build a report to show 1st year and show their count. Like if the agreement started in 2012 it is it’s first year and if it is started in 2015 it is its first year. Can some one help me how to write that formula ?? Thank you

Normally I've seen MOS scores on a 1 to 5 point scale. But in Skype for Business Call Analytics they're expressed a decimal. e.g.

Average network degradation 0.009717 MOS

What are they saying? Is that a 4.93 MOS score?

I work for a organization with a large website. I have been asked to provide the following stats from 2016 about the website:

  • total number of web pages on our website
  • total number of page linked to a newsletter

Regarding bullet number two: A friend suggested that I use Campaigns to track pages being linked to newsletters, which I assume would mean creating a different campaign for every newsletter link. I can do that going forward in 2018, but that doesn't help me find the stats for 2016.

Can I retrieve the 2016 stats for both bullets from GA and how would I do so? If it can not be retrieved from GA, please offer suggestions on how I may find this information.

I would like to have better analytics of call quality over time. Is there any way to have a server at each site and run a nailed up simulated call between the two and gather metrics like loss, jitter, MOS, latency etc etc? Anything from MS? Other?

Hi,

I have built a small wordpress widget that floats in the bottom right hand corner of my client's website(s), so that their users can click it to make a payment to them... which simply redirects the user to my payment platform / website where my customer has an account.

FLOW - widget sits on clientwebsite.com and when they click it, the customer is brought to mysplink.com/abc (their payment profile on splink)

QUESTION
I need to be able to track how many users land on mysplink.com from a widget that sits on another site.

I was thinking of using something like mysplink.com/abc/ref=widget-abc and then i can view that in Google Analytics?

01 - would this approach be the best way to do this?

02 - any other advice on approaches would be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm working on an ad campaign management app. There's a feature there advertisers can assign caps for campaign based on spending or conversions in daily, monthly or lifetime basis and there would be multiple caps per ad campaign. As soon as one campaign reaches the 80% we will send notification to all publishes and once caps are reached we have to stop the campaign immediately. We're receiving thousands of event per second. Currently what i'm doing is querying reporting table every second but it's quite inefficient and sometimes campaigns already exceeded the caps when I detect it. So my question is;

What're the existing efficient programmatic or architectural solution's in industry to handle these kind of situations?

Can anyone describe their experience with embedding powerBI visualzations into a website?  I want to have client specific visualizations that show up when they log into the website.  (Probably using HTML5)  Thoughts?  What concerns me most was the description from the powerBI website about publishing to the cloud.  It is imperative that only the client can see their graphs...

Thank you,

I am using IP camera and getting images based on the alarm.  I have a question on this,

Can we mark assets area and do the image analytics with the reference image and find missing assets.

This is only to deduct missing asset (like missing ups, intercom, notebook)

-  We can keep a master image consider as a template with all the assets
-  Whenever changes happen like replacing, missing marked items - need to mark the missing items in red color and need to alert the administrator.

This may be easy.
I have one worksheet that shows total quantity of sales.
Then I have another worksheet that shows total quantity of sales and is filtered based on the filter franchise.

On my dashboard I have both.
On the filtered worksheet I have total quantity of sales for the filter franchise.

Worksheet 1 Name: ES - TOP LEVEL KPIs
Worksheet 2 Name: ES - FRANCHISE BUBBLE

My calculated field on both worksheets is SUM(Sell out Quantity).

Ultimately I want to total:
SUM(Sell out Quantity) from ES - FRANCHISE BUBBLE /Total SUM(Sell out Quantity) ES - TOP LEVEL KPIs = % of Total Quantity
117,193  / 1,579,040  = 7%

I want to add a % of total in my tool tip.
Due to the filter I am unable to get an accurate calculation.

Is there an easy way to do this?
