Analytics is the discovery and communication of meaningful patterns in data. Especially valuable in areas rich with recorded information, analytics relies on the simultaneous application of statistics, computer programming and operations research to quantify performance. Specifically, areas within analytics include predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, enterprise decision management, retail analytics, store assortment and stock-keeping unit optimization, marketing optimization and marketing mix modeling, web analytics, sales force sizing and optimization, price and promotion modeling, predictive science, credit risk analysis, and fraud analytics.

I've been tasked to "install an ODBC connector on our Timeslips 2018 Firebird database" so that the new analytics vendor can "access the raw data for analysis".  I'm happy to do this if it is a valid operation, BUT I have no clue how to do it.  Any articles, videos, contacts or guidance is greatly appreciated.  I assume the ODBC connector/driver/utility would need to be installed on the server computer where the Timeslips database resides.  Besides that, I am at a loss.  Is this a common and simple operation OR am I just going to be beyond my depth?  If so, who to contact?

15+ years ago we ran Webposition Gold software with a list of 100+ keywords that automatically reported results from all the engines like the below so you could easily see how your ranking was trending, but Webposition Gold was blocked (http://www.aimclearblog.com/2007/06/11/google-makes-it-official-webposition-gold-is-dead/) since Google/etc wanted to start selling their own Analytic Reporting services

What software do you recommend now so I can find out what rank each one of my 100+ keywords currently have like the attached shows ?

I am OK with using Google Analytics/etc if that will work

Need some sql that will get the min on a column and return the entire row without using a subquery or a group by... basically an analytic sql statement that doesn't require as subquery to return the lowest column row data based upon a particular column. Like a group by but not using a group by or a subquery.

thanks

We have a client that wants to start getting involved in social network having presence in Tweeter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.  Not only posting its business “news” or “new product” but articles of interest that come upon on a daily bases or even re-post articules or contents from other business partners, etc.

Besides the fact the client wants to know what  is the best way to start, one concern is posting data.  That  is comments, pictures, etc.

We want to know how to go about posting an issue through all these social networks.

For example, we found an artificial intelligence topic interesting and wanted to post it.  We download the article, download some images, prepare it and posted to Facebook.  How do the user go about  to modify contents prior posting to all Tweeter Facebook LinkedIn Instagram Pinterest? Or is there a way that the user can creat a “template” and then post them to all?

Hello,

I have a client who has 60 hospital clients throughout the US. They are looking to grow but we want to see what attributes these 60 clients might have in common as compared to all of the other hospitals around the US. We'll have access to all kinds of volume, demographic, and other financial information to use in this comparison. What would be the best tool to have the system try to suggest where there might be a disproportionate amount of hospitals that have xyz characteristic in the 60 existing clients as compared to the rest of the US? I have access to IBM Cognos, Tableau and even a free trial of Watson. I just would rather not go through all 200 characteristics of all potential hospital clients one by one manually in order to stumble into one that might be a key attribute we can use to target other similar clients for sales efforts.

Thanks!

Is it possible to create a report that shows "Goal Completion Location" and "Source / medium" Side by side? Or at the very least, medium? Don't have to have source.

Basically, our goals are being tracked with regex, and the completion urls actually have the quote numbers in them. So we are trying to see which specific quotes in our system are from from cpc vs organic. We're trying to determine how likely cpc users are to place an order after requesting a quote, vs organic users.

Does that make sense?

So if my date is 201701, I want the next column as 201612(previous month) Also if my date is 201701, I want the quarter also as 201703 in another column. Thanks!
Month  Prev_Month  Quarter
201701 201612 201703

I want to register multiple events in Universal Analytics. Can this only be done in multiple calls, like so?

ga('send', 'event1', {
    eventCategory: 'category1',
    eventAction: 'click',
});

ga('send', 'event2', {
    eventCategory: 'category2',
    eventAction: 'click',
});

Open in new window

Or is there a syntax for sending multiple events in a single call?

I have installed the Google Analytics UA tracking code on my site about three months ago and on Thursday put up a self-hosted video (e.g. not through YouTube, but rather in the file structure of the site).

Do I need to do anything (in Google Analytics) to get the statistics of how many people watched the video and for how long?

Thanks for your help.

Starting November 20th, certain Windows 7 workstations in the office have been running HP Touchpoint Analytics Client. I've found numerous posts on both how to download and how to remove this software, but I seem unable to find info on what it is?

What is it?

J have an e-commerce website and I don't use cookies, however, I know that Woo-Commerce does use cookies throughout the checkout process and I'm pretty sure that Google Analytics uses cookies.  Is there a good Privacy Policy Template out there that addresses Cookies even though my site pages don't use them but my Woo-Commerce Checkout does?

I want to place something on my site Privacy Policy but don't know what.

Hi all -- I'm taking a quick straw-poll of tools that can be easily integrated into MS Access to provide better on-the-fly graphing capabilities. I'm OK with buying a license for something but it needs to be launchable/controllable from within Access, and it needs to work really well -- e.g., produce some nice-looking graphs and pie charts. If the graphs are clickable to show details, that's a bonus. For those of you who've been down this path before, what's your go-to and why? Oh, yeah -- I'm not considering Excel as an answer, either...! :)

One of a set of tools we are providing to everyone as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community.

We have an email system that routes emails to various entities based on the subject.  The account is gmail. We periodically delete emails from the outlook client, but "do not delete emails from server" was selected. We can see them if we log on to gmail via a browser. how do we get those emails back onto the outlook client?  We need to export to CSV and run analytics on how many things went where and when.  There are 13,000 emails so manual isn't an option.

Thanks

I have a lot of outlook emails. We end up servicing lots of different groups on different topics. Do you know of some email analytics software that loops through my outlook emails and suggest things like: what topics most discusses, which teams most helped, what times is the average time needed to resolve an email thread etc.
I am just trying to understand if there is an option in the market, that allows me to understand my where most of my time, commitment and resources are going.

Thanks

Hello,

We have a few clients who use some custom apps on SQL at their locations. Now, we want to have these DB's replicate to say a Cloud server - so we can have full live copy there for some analytics we'd like to run on them. How can i get this done?

Hi,

We have a small SAAS platform which various companies use to sell basic products. Each company get's their own shop profile on our platform, which they can share and advertise via social media and other channels... so that customers can buy their products.

We would like to provide our customers with analytics to show where their hits and sales are coming from most. For example, if they share their profile by:

- Facebook
- Email
- Twitter

A - where do the majority of their views come from

B - where do the majority of sales come from

Is there any 3rd party software that we could integrate to do this OR should we look at building something from scratch?

Thank you in advance for your help.
