What are the correct methods for setting up a local NAS as the destination for holding Time Machine backups on a Mac OS Sierra v. 10.12.6 Mac?

The path where I would like to store these backups is 10.99.199.249.

I have typed in the following command within the terminal:

sudo tmutil setdestination -p afp://TimeMachine@10.99.199.249/Backups/MBP

However, I receive the message "Failed to open session. (error 5)
The backup destination could not be set"

What can be done to fix this issue so that I can use the NAS as the backup destination for the Time Machine backups?

What is the process for mapping Box.com as a shared network resource within Mac OS X?

We would like to be able to access our Box.com cloud resource directly without having to access and local or network resources.

How can this be done?

Hello I have a customer that purchased a mac book and not sure if they are going to invest in MS office but they are coming from a  windows system and all doc and everything was created using office.  What issues could they run into or should the transition work easily just learning the new interface and tools I don't have enough experience with the free office apps that come with the mac's. Any feedback will definitely be appreciated

I am running the latest OSX Server from Apple and have a departmental sharepoint for AFP.  The server is running as OD Master and all members of the department are in a group with read/write permission to the share.

When anyone in the department connects to the share, files do not show their metadata (Command-i is missing everything under "More Info").  If that same user drags the file to their local desktop, the data shows up great (keywords, camera metadata, etc.).  Drag it back to the share and it disappears again.  This must be some sort of permission issue but I can't determine what is causing this.

Dear users,
I am using "final cut". In my video, there are a face/element and I will cover them with a customized mask. I want that, this mask follow the faces dynamically during the video. I cannot use the "censor" instrument: it need ages and ages, because I have to click "+" for each frame. Is a way to say to final cut: "this is the face, this is the mask, please follow this face with this mask during the video"? Thank!

I have a PHP database that outputs emails as .eml files. Outlook 2016 for Mac will not open them in compose mode so the only way I can open them is to Forward. This is very time consuming. There is a button that should work that is Redirect but there are no CC or BCC buttons.

I need to create an applescript that just turns the eml into an editable email that can then be sent.

I have tried this code but it seems to have stopped working,

-- Resend Message v1.0 (2010-10-27)
-- an applescript by Barry Wainwright
-- Restores the 'Resend' function that was in Entourage but never made it to Outlook
-- when the script is run, with a sent message selected or open, a new copy of the
--    message will be created, with all the original recipients and attachements and
--    from the correct sending account.
-- This script released under a Creative Commons Attribution, NonCommercial, ShareAlike 2.0 England & Wales License.
-- see  for full details

tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
  try
set theMessage to item 1 of (get current messages)
if not («class wSnt» of theMessage) then error -98
  on error
display dialog "This script acts only on already sent messages. Please select a sent message and run the script again." buttons {"Abort"} default button 1
    return -99
  end try
set theSource to source of theMessage
set theAccount to account of theMessage
set newmessage to make new outgoing message with properties {account:theAccount, …

Referring to the issue of https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29002428/Outlook-2016-and-iCloud-calendar-issue.html#writeComment

Since I cannot share my thought in the article because it was considered as "solved" or "answered". Here is my experience:
I turned away from iCloud Control Panel for Windows earlier because of some other reason that iCloud folders of contact, calendar and task cannot be used as Outlook default folder. This often gives me a headache that I have to always click into icloud folders before creating new entries. The solution I found working for me is EVO Collaborator for Outlook.
