I'm trying to create illegal instruction reset.

I'm programming Infineon TC29x Aurix Tricore Microcontroller based embedded system in 'C' language.

I need to set program counter to illegal address, i.e. 0x00FF FFFC.  Can this be done with assembly language instructions?
If yes, please instrument assembly language instruction that would set program counter to 0x00FF FFFC while code is running.

hi Folks

i have been stuck on this issue for days and found no clue to fix it.

the navigation unit of my Toyota Prius makes some kind of clicking noise when it is powered on, finally i have figured out that the noise is related to its maps DVD. once the DVD disc is removed, the noise disappears. initially i thought it was caused by an aged DVD disc as the disc was used in the unit for years. i thought a new backup disc could fix the issue, but I was wrong.

now, all DVD discs can't be recognised by the navigation unit, whatever they are original copy, or burned backup discs in DVD -R, +R or RW, speed 1x or 16x, the same message keeps showing on the unit's screen. all discs can be loaded, but nothing works at all.

how can i fix the issue?

the car is out of manufacturer warranty, i am thinking if it is feasible to remove the navigation unit and clean it myself. If yes, how?

thanks heaps in advance,

bbao
