Own a 2005 Buick LaSabre and it overheats.  Cooling temp reaches 240 degrees.  Took it into a shop and they looked at the radiator and it was full of what they said was gunk and rust.  Installed a new radiator and flushed the system.  Worked OK for 2 weeks (lowered the temp a bit) but now it is doing the same thing.  Heater does not work which they said at the shop it was not working very well.  They told me to come back a few months later and have it flushed again.  Also, one day I was at a stop light and had the air on and the cart started to rumble and the temp light came on, my gas pedal did not have any punch to it at that time.  Pulled over  and let it cool down and everything was OK.  Do you have any ideas of what to try to get this fixed?  Is it a simple flush again?  I also added a bottle of water wetter and that did not help.

I have 2017 GMC Sierra CK 2500. On the bed it doesn't  have that black plastic thing on it. My question is where can I get that thing aftermarket as dealer probably charge me thousand of dollars to put on it.

I was trying to figure out why my 1986 F150 wasn't holding charge and found out it was the battery. I had pulled the alternator and battery off to have them tested. While reinstalling the alternator I touched a hot wire to the frame and now it won't crank. When I turn the key I no longer hear the file pump or anything under the hood turn on. It will turn over but not fire. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought this vehicle a month ago. Before that I have 2015 RAM 1500 Pickup truck and this truck gave me a very good average miles on highway. The new GMC burn gas like a hell I feel that it might given me under 10 miles a gallon. Do I need to take it back to the dealer?

Can you please suggest me a wireless backup camera which easily be installed by any dumb person like me. I have 2017 GMC 2500 Pickup truck.

Client has just traded in their BMW.  Their iPhone was paired with the car by Bluetooth.

How do we make sure that all the private data, contact information, navigation history, is securely removed from the car?

Thanks.

I'm programming Infineon TC29x Aurix Tricore Microcontroller based embedded system in 'C' language.

Consider stack starting at address 0x5000 0000.  The stack size is 0x1000.

If I add 0x1000 to current stack pointer(Register A10) and store result in A10, then I should get underflow error.

What might be the code in assembly to change stack pointer?  something like following:

stw a10, 0x1000(a10)   # I'm not sure if stw is correct opcode ?

what are other options to create stack undeflow exception?

Btw petrol = gasoline (UK / US terms).

Occasionally I drive past petrol kiosks (that have offer) for
Octane 100 & I thought of topping them to the max (as my
wife doesn't want me to keep petrol at home & there's a
legal requirement to register for using container to buy
them as petrol could be used for malicious purpose).

So if my petrol is half tank & I fill up a nearby kiosks with
Octane 92 petrol (the kiosks also have Octane 95 & 98),

Q1:
Does the 2 grades of petrol mix well or they form 2 separate
layers in my car's petrol tank?  If they don't mix, which one
will float to the top

Q2:
if they mix well, do we then get an average of Octane 96?

Q3:
Any degradation / adverse effects of mixing the 2 petrols?

Hi: I just bought a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500. Its a very basic truck and their is no bed liner on it. My questions is where can I find that thing or something like that cheap in under 100 bucks?

Every once in a while I can smell my brakes on the front left burning and you can feel that it is warmer in the wheel well compared to the right side. It doesn't happen all of time though. I took the whheel and caliper off but, the brakes look fine and the rotor is still smooth. I am wondering if the piston on the caliper is freezing up sporactically. I took it to the dealer but, the tech said that he isn't finding a problem and of course the problem doesn't occur when I take it in so, I can't prove that it is happening.
Could it still be the caliper or is there some other reason why I can smell the brakes burning and feel the higher temerature in the wheel well?

Is it possible I can charge this thing with a solar panel? Also what other technologies are available beside that in the market?

I'm programming Infineon TC29x Aurix Tricore Microcontroller based embedded system in 'C' language.

Consider stack starting address 0x5000 0000.  The stack size is 0x2000.

If I take current stack pointer minus 0x2000, will that create stack exception?  If yes, what might be 'C' or assembly language code that will achieve this?

My thought is if I subtract negative 0x2000 from current stack pointer or add 0x2000 to current stack pointer, I'll be outside stack and stack exception will occur ?

I need to set program counter to illegal address, i.e. 0x00FF FFFC.  Can this be done with assembly language instructions?
If yes, please instrument assembly language instruction that would set program counter to 0x00FF FFFC while code is running.

Is it possible that I have some kind of spy camera around my shirt which also can pass me thru metal detector. And also send me the live stream video.

We are using TC29x Microcontroller. The flash size is 6Mbytes. There are Three banks, 2Mbyte each.

Program Flash 0 (PF0) is bank 1. Program Flash 1 (PF1) is bank 2. Program Flash 2 (PF2) is bank 3.

 PF0 address range is: 0x8000 0000 - 0x801F FFFF
 PF1 address range is: 0x8020 0000 - 0x803F FFFF
 PF2 address range is: 0x8040 0000 - 0x805F FFFF

Where is Program Flash ECC stored. Is it within 6Mbyte ? Or is there additional storage space for ECC that we don't have access to ?

How does Flash ECC work ? For how many bytes of data, how many bytes of ECC are there ? Whenever we write to flash, ECC updates? When we erase flash ECC updates?

How is it possible to create Flash ECC Error ? Because everytime you write or erase flash, ECC will update?

I am looking for a camera which I can use to watch vehicles running behind mine. I have a rear view camera pre installed. But it only works when I drive reverse. I have 2016 RAM 1500 5.7 L V8. Also easy to installed.

I've put in a brand new starter on my 2005 GMC Sierra because it was clicking. After I did that the clicker no stopped but now the truck still won't crank. So I changed the ignition switch after carefully checking all the fuses and relay and it still does the same thing. Found a wire that was never connected to the battery and traced back to the starter so I connected it to the battery and the starter started engaging but the ignition was off so I turned the ignition on and touched the battery with wire and engine turned over but starter wouldn't disengage. I've traced all the wires to see if anything was wrong and they all look good. What else am I missing?

Hello Guys I hope you can help me I am in Mexico, I've taken my car to the service center and they don't seem to know how to fix the problem.

It could happen that the car will not start,   so I go pop the hood and push all the fuses near the battery and go back to turn it on and it starts up with out a problem.  Then the small motor symbol appears.

There are cases where it starts perfectly and the motor symbol is off, when I am driving all of the sudden it loses power (CHECK ENGINLIGH TURNS ON)it doesn't fully turn of the car keeps going., but its kind of scary when your driving in middle of traffic.   So when I hit a bump or something it does this.

I can be driving in the express way where there are no bumps and it still dose it.

Have you guys experienced something like this if so have you found away to solve it?

I hope you can help me cause this is driving me nuts.

Thank you

Jose

Consider a typical Automotive Embedded  Software System.

A discrete input signal is 0 or 1.  An example of discrete input is ignition ON or OFF.

After discrete input signal is debounced or a state change is latched, is discrete input signal still raw value?

Second question:   Should Electronic Control Unit (ECU) low level software debounce discrete inputs or just read the real time state of discrete input?  Are there any exceptions meaning some discrete inputs should be debounced, whereas others don't need to be debounced?

I bought this vehicle zero miles 2 years ago. I put 27k miles on it. My question is can I change engine oil by myself? Is this will mess with the warranty?

This is my remote. I use rechargeable batteries and every day my remote shows low battery but when i test them, they all shows green. I bought batteries from dollar store and try them, they also die out in less than 3 days. They are AAA rechargeable batteries. I think something is wrong with my remote.

In a typical embedded automotive embedded system, I believe data is only transferred from RAM to EEPROM once every key cycle, right before embedded system goes to sleep ?
