Blogs

A blog is a discussion or informational site consisting of discrete entries ("posts") typically displayed in reverse chronological order. Blogs can be the work of a single individual but more recently "multi-author blogs" (MABs) have developed, with posts written by large numbers of authors and professionally edited and "microblogging" systems help integrate blogs into societal newstreams.

Hello Experts,
I was given a Chromebook that seems to be in Recovery mode, I have never worked on this type of machine; I visited a few blogs that suggest putting on DEV mode by pressing the Ctrl+D keys, but I am not able to do that.
I also tried to create a recovery image using a USB, but regardless of the USB I use, it always says the device I inserted does not contain ChromeOS.

Any ideas on how I can recover this little machine?

I am hoping to find an expert who specializes in creating websites that set up as affiliate review website using rss feeds and feedburners.  I really would like the inner working of this type of website and how I can create one. I have a builtwith link to a website that I know is using this type of technology here is the link https://builtwith.com/?https%3a%2f%2fthewirecutter.com%2f

News is that RSS and Feedburners are a thing of the past but, website are still using them. And, making a kill.

Can I get a little help here with this question?  Step by Step, pls. Sorry

I am starting this discussion early.  I am motivated and obsessed with getting this website off the ground.

I have found myself with self-imposed errors of grand magnitudes.

I want to get this website off the ground, so I am going to ask for help every step of the way.

1.  Now, I have gone to wordpress.org to get a theme called GeneratePress https://wordpress.org/themes/generatepress/
as advised by Expert Favor.

2.  Next, I have downloaded the Plugin Beaver Page Builder from https://wordpress.org/plugins/beaver-builder-lite-version/
as advised by Expert Favor.

3.  I am going to upload these files to my website http://www.wireoo.com.
I am going to make sure that the HTTPS is upgraded in a few hours for security and SEO.

I plan to get a Review Website off the ground (with affiliate marketing the right way).

Now, my question is where do I go from here.  I do not want to make any mistakes as I have in the past three months.
I, respectfully, ask that you be patient with me as I am taking small steps and in the learning stages.  Just be aware that I am passionate about this quest so, please do not take me seriously.  I laugh, sometimes, for I am embarrassed in some instances. Have a good day!

I have been looking for feeds for my website. I need an IT news feed and a products review feed, if this is in away possible.  I am going to be developing a WP website. I know that I can get feeds from other sites with the /feed or RSS. For me to automate most of my work on my blog, I want to streamline as much as I can for now in labor and cost. I signed up for Feedly on the free plan. However, I am still exploring my options. I found FMTC so expensive for me as I am just starting my website. Can I kindly get a little help and few ideas on how to approach this?

I have the WP Review Plugin (hoping to find a feed, too).

I have my theme, installation, domain and hosting in development by template supplier Templatemonster.

I am going to start a blog called "Show Me the Money Bags."  I want to start a case study right here in this forum where I can get honest opinions and thoughts on my journey.  I will tell you that I have acquired my domain name www.showmethemoneybags.com. I figured after talking to several experts that it is highly possible that everywhere you turn that there are scams when dealing with issues, blogs, forums, and online business.

So, I started with my domain name from Namecheap for $8.99.

I decided to hire a freelance copywriter to assist in writing my articles from Fiverr.  My first 1000 words will cost me $10. I have given myself until Monday to provide her with an in-depth synopsis of the journey of the blog ahead with more articles. I have not paid her yet for the first article.

The article will have the first article will have the premises of the blog "Show me the money bags."

I plan to stick to what I call "money bags" to make money online for real.  (I remember an Expert telling me that it is simple to make money online).

I want to discuss the reality of making money online (hopefully build up an audience from real-world experience and expert advice).

I plan to set up my domain in Wordpress (I would appreciate any thoughts on CMS for the long run).

My hosting is through Hostgator baby plan.

So, I want to get some advice from bloggers within this forum as to what I should do with this idea to progress from here.
I do not plan to go live …

Hi
I had some dudes in India freelance me a media upload web-site, a while ago, on my Godaddy hosting. I'm going to take a split-second breather from my invulnerable chess engine to work on this again.
The product was fine, but I'm reluctant to ask for new updates, because they've fleeced me on updates before. They've probably removed the project from their dev.
It's complicated, but I was hesitant to suggest changes after my Freelancer uploading functionality had been completed. They were mainly aesthetic changes, and threatened to charge me more hundreds of dollars. ( The contract was for the media, and they did that)
It is a standard Wordpress looking template, ( EDUCON ) but
I am reluctant to make changes, in case it destroys what they've coded / done, and I'd prefer not to contact them again. I did a political blog once that broke the Adsense payment threshold. They didn't add the adsense code locations on the layout. They basically said, we've done the coding, now get lost. If I do the adsense stuff, will it destroy the media upload work they've done? If I look in the WP menu panel, is that all solid? - won't alter with aesthetic changes?
The template they chose was lame, and I went with it, so they could get functionality done. There's no room even for an intro paragraph or welcoming type stuff. I need that space for Adsense boards. I have an extended template selection product. more Themes   -  it says 9 themes
If I paste adsense code into a widget, will I be…

Hello,

What is the best platform and approach to creating a basic stand-alone discussion forum?

By "stand-alone" I mean a forum that is not associated with a particular website. Obviously the forum would need its own unique URL but it does not need an associated or separate landing/web page.

I've looked at a couple of places like WordPress, Blogger, Blogspot, etc, but their main focus seems to be blogs. I haven't spent a lot of times on blogs but they seem to be structured chronologically (ie showing a list of dates) rather than by topics.

I am really just looking for a simple way to enable someone to post a question/comment to start a thread where others can respond.

Thanks

Hi
I received an email
from
GoDaddy <donotreply@godaddy.com>
It seems legit
But, it claims it has detected malware.
"Your site has been flagged for malware"
I don't do my blog anymore, but is this a valid concern? Its isn't the blog's URL, it is my original main umbrella URL. Must I buy the 6.99/ mo clean up package? I never visit the blog or do anything with the files.
I will use my web-space from now on for teaching, mainly. I am very aware of online scams.
Will that solve this? I am somehow skeptical that villains and miscreants have suddenly cherry-picked me for assault on a main-page that has no interface with the public. But, some of my bloggers were douchebags.
Thanks

Hi

At the bottom of my humanity changing blog, it says ' © 2017 YOUR COMPANY.  DESIGNED BY THEMEUM'

Can I annihilate this and put my privacy policy link there? or just above it?

not sure

Thanks

Hi

I'm going to file my blog trademark again. Lame, but I neglected to do the final step one time, because I was so annoyed with the seeming endless ( unstoppable) billings. It felt like a Nigerian scam. Truly, I was suspicious and concerned.

Anyway, forget about it. I'm going to file again and there are 3 options. Does it matter which one I use? - for a blog name trademark? Also, would a logo filing be done later? The costs are complicated?  What will they be?

This is the initial page - notice the feeling-to-be-never-ending fees,      here

Thanks

Hi
I've found some different opinions around, and I'm going to ImageMonster tomorrow morning to outline the logo for my site

It must be made for 200x100 , 200x200, and 70x70? Is it most often used at 400x400?

Is there a good preparation, advice page for logos? I'm not certain that my ideas will be discernible at 70x70

Thanks

Hi

MY EDUCON blog is looking better, but I'd prefer it if the blog wasn't on the Home page, but on one of the tabs, and the home page was something I could design.
Is that just bad luck. - Not how blogs are done?

Thanks

Hi
The last time I received Adsense approval, I invited a lot of people interested in my blog topic to post, to get Adsense approval.
Is this the only way?

Is Google only interested in constant visits, traffic, not blog posts?
Thanks

Hi
These are the Adsense approval bullet points. below
One seems to be that I must use the original URL that I used when I set up my account. I don't do that site anymore, but all my sites exist under a main URL for my account in godaddy.  How do I know which site that it wants, or correct it for it to work? what does it expect? Might it be relative to my umbrella URL for my godaddy account?

i) Copy the code exactly as it appears on your AdSense homepage.
ii) Place the code on the URL that you provided when you created your AdSense account.
iii) Make sure that you place the code on a page that has content and receives regular visitors.

I post, daily, by scheduling, on my Facebook page.  Each post includes a graphic for the theme of the post (i.e., "Sunday Showstoppers"), and, frequently, a link to a YouTube video or an item on Amazon.com, or a link to another website.  How do I get the photo AND the link to show up in my post without adding either/or as a comment AFTER the post?  Is there a way to have the graphic for the theme within the text of the post and then the link as the added image/video/link?

OR, if I create 2 separate posts, is there a way to link them to each other so one always appears after the other? (I'm guessing I could do all of this on my webpage than just create a link to my webpage, but I'm trying to do it in Facebook.)

I'd appreciate your advice!

If you Google something I notice that some websites are just random blogs or options of a product or something. I notice that some not all are made by WordPress or another CMS.

My question is do people pay to just give an option or blog about something fake? I know that for a free WordPress site they include "wordpress" in the link. WordPress' I've seen don't have this watermark.

Would like to know how this works.
