The fastest way to make my phone more responsive seems to be to click on the box in the lower right corner of my android.

This brings up the "Recent Apps" list.

Swiping down on this list moves all the recent apps to the bottom, which allows you to click on the "Clear All" button.

This is essentially three steps.

I would like to find a way to make this process of clearing all the recent apps much more seamless and less hassle.

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Can I buy used iphone in US and use in different country?  Or does it have to be unlocked because there could be a different service in other countries.  GSM vs. CDMA for example.
Please advice.

Google's "Play Music" app appears to be the default app for playing mp3 files from my android phone.  However, I need a way to:

1. See where I am in the clip without the screen changing.
2. Pause with only my voice.
3. Back up ten seconds with only my voice.

I did manage to locate an app from the Google Play Store (top non-sponsored choice) based on ratings, called "Bits Mp3 Player", but it, unfortunately, does not appear to contain any of those 3 key features that I am looking for.

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have an LG K7 cell phone. When I type a paragraph and proofread it, I may need to make a correction in the middle of the paragraph. So in this paragraph I'm going to correct the word make in the previous sentence.

I put the cursor at the end of the word make, and hit the delete key. No problem. I hit the delete key one more time and garbage appears. Often it is the last word I typed. In below paragraph is what I see after I hit the delete key twice.

I have an LG K7 cell phone. When I type a paragraph and proofread it, I may neecorrect a correction in the middle of the paragraph. So in this paragraph I'm going to correct the word make in the previous sentence.

It looks like the delete key did a lot more than delete the character 'k'.  I had:

    "need to make a correction"

and with one delete, I get

   "neecorrect a correction".

The 2nd delete caused a lot more than one char to be deleted, but the weird part is that it pasted in something that I had already typed.

How can I make this weird behavior stop?

Btw, the above is not an artificial example. It is what actually happened right now in asking this question.

If I carefully highlight the words I want to change, I think I have done better when I type in the correction. But I just want the typing to go easier.

There is a top row above the complete list of Android apps on my Nexus 6 Android phone.

it seems to show the apps that are most often used using 4 icons along the top.

I would prefer to not have this show up?

is it possible to hide that row all together?

As an alternative to hiding the row all together, I would also like to know if there is a way to require a specific PIN code in order to pull up the list of apps to begin with?

I know you can do this on a per app basis, but I may need to be able to do it with the screen itself.

My iPhone Xs is running iOS 12.1.

How do I remove email addresses that pop up when I am typing in the first few characters of an email address within the To: or BCC: field within an email on my iPhone?

There are certain email addresses that always appear within the email address auto suggestion field that I no longer use that I need to make sure are removed.

What is the easiest way of doing this?

I am looking to sync the GAL for an on-prem Exchange 2010 environment with the contacts list for every users' exchange mailbox.

We need all of the contacts in the GAL to be able to sync to mobile devices so that mobile users have access to phone numbers that are kept up to date in active directory. This will also remove the issues we are seeing where users do not know how to utilize the GAL and are keeping spreadsheets of everyone's phone number.

I have located a couple of paid services that will accomplish this, most notably CircaSync, but we are trying to avoid the use of third party tools. I also know we can get a little creative with an automated powershell script, but I am trying to avoid a jerry-rigged setup that is likely to become an issue to support down the road if it ever stops working once we are already reliant on it.

Who has accomplished this?

My Nexus 6 often slows to a crawl.  Is there anything similar to the "Performance" tab in the Task Manager for Windows that shows which resource (CPU, Memory, Disk, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth PAN, or GPU) is getting maxed out at any given moment?

Hi Android Experts,

I'm after an app/program that will allow me to organize all the icons on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ 256GB 4GX phone using my computer.

I recall being able to do this with my iPhones because iTunes displayed the phone configuration on screen and I could drag and drop apps and icons around on my computer screen while my phone was connected, and then the iPhone would update itself with the changes I'd made. I found this highly helpful and an easy way to organize my icons.

I have a LOT of icons and apps installed on my Android phone and organizing them the way I like in a native way on the phone I find to be a pain, so I'd like something that will allow me to do it the way iTunes let me do it with my iPhones.

Ie: Display my Phone screen configuration on my Windows 10 computer screen and allow me to organize my icons using my computer and then have my Android Phone update itself to the configurations that I'd selected on my computer screen. I'm happy to pay for a program to allow me to do this, so it doesn't have to be free.

I've looked through Google Play Store and see a lot of App Organizers, but they all seem to be just apps that are only installed on the Android phone, rather than allow me to connect the phone to the computer and do my organizing there.

Ie: Connect my phone to the computer so I can use my computer to update the icon positions on my phone instead.

Either this isn't available, or perhaps I'm using the wrong search terms on …

Hi Experts,

I recently consolidated a number of contacts that were duplicated in my contacts list on my Android S9+ mobile phone.

Now I've noticed that a lot of the consolidated contacts have the wrong avatar of the persons face, in many cases, the avatar on the contact is of a totally different person than who the contact in my phone really is.

Can anyone explain the best way to fix this so that the pictures on the contacts are correct? Please include step by step instructions if possible as I'm relatively new to Android phones, being an Iphone user for many years.

Many thanks for any help.

Regards, Andrew

I need a new battery for my Samsung S6 Active and it is going to cost me $70 dollars plus postage to send it into Samsung for repair because it has the water seal and none of the local repair centers will touch it. I am thinking of getting a Samsung S7 Active because I don’t think the S8 is worth the price. I am thinking of getting a Refurbished which I have found for $245 or a new one for $474 both unlocked. I can get a one year warranty on Refurbished one for $54. Anyone had any experience with Refurbished cell phones? Do you think it is worth the extra $230 for a new phone?

I have a Nexus 6 Android phone with Android 7.1.1

When I purchased the phone some years ago it was important to have an unlocked phone as well as what they called stock Android.

At the time I understood this to mean that you could use the SIM card from any carrier and that the software included with the stock Android was not tied to any particular carrier.

I have a lot of apps on this phone and it seems to run out of battery power pretty quick. I would like to stick unlocked phones with stock Android if possible, but have a better option in terms of stability, battery life, and a fast camera.

All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
