Cloud computing, also known as on-demand computing, is a kind of Internet-based computing where shared resources and information are provided to computers and other devices. It is a model for enabling ubiquitous, on-demand access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources. Cloud computing and storage solutions provide users and enterprises with various capabilities to store and process their data in third-party data centers, relying on sharing of resources to achieve coherence and economies of scale.

Hi,

Anyone can advice how to retrieve accurate information to determine the overhead and size the hardware requirement (CPU, RAM, Storage, Network) by calculation for docker container APPs like elastic LB, fault tolerance which running on Kuberbnetes orchestration layer to design 500000 live video feed coming to share the load on the bare-metal design?

Hi Guys,
II need to delete an individual backup Items from Azure recovery services vault. The backup management type is "Azure Backup Agent"
Azure backup ItemsCould you explain how this can be done?
The only methods I have found online is to remove the server as a protected server. However I do not want to remove all backup items from the server
Backup Infrastructure-> PROTECTED SERVERS-> Protected Servers (Azure Backup Agent)-> XXXXXXX> Backup policy

Hi,

Require to learn Huawei FusionCloud 6.3 to deploy private cloud in DC for api call to perform automation like create 2000 VMs instead from Golden Image Template (AMI) for testing to use POSTMAN to be authenticated by getting digital token from IAM but as encountered the following error.

api_auth_require.jpg
api_1.jpg
api_2.jpg

Then, learn to install python with IDE, Pycharm and PIP for Windows 10 for writing code and execute 1000 VM accordingly to client requirement.

Ps advice accordingly.

Tks.

We are hoping that there is a cloud backup solution for desktops that can be configured to only backup specific file types. For example, we have a small office. We want to have every file created from MS Office automatically backed up, without having to manually tell the backup software to backup the files.

Is there a cloud solution that does this?

At the least, if I select every drive partition, can I configure the software to only backup certain file types on the entire drive?

What is a CASB?  What value can it provide?

What are some of the most popular/well respected CASBs?

Can CASBs inform ConMon/IR/Operational Visibility?

What cloud deployment and service models are best suited for a CASB?

How can CASB assist in security and compliance of:
                IaaS?
                PaaS?
                SaaS?
                 Private cloud?
What options exist for CASBs to integrate log data with current monitoring processes?

We had a problem come to us NETENG where some hows in an Amazon private VPC stopped communicating with an Amazon hosted public elastic IP address. The issue appeared to self-resolve after a time. But the question is - who is one supposed to log and investigate this kind of outage? It seems you'd need to have monitoring within the VPC that was banging against the public IP address/elastic IP all the time at the port/URI intended. Are there any tools built into AWS that would let you monitor availability of an AWS public service from the perspective of EC2 instances in your VPC?

I need a quick write up on Cloud Continuous Monitoring (ConMon)

Section 1.1  Purpose & Objectives

Section 1.2 Process Overview ( Operational Visibility, Change Control, Incident Response)

I attached two Fed RAmp Documents. Policy writing isn't my thing at all.

Hey all, we are getting rid of our on premise DC which has our file server on it as well and move to the cloud completely....the question is how to handle our file server in the cloud.

I see two options:

1) Use azure files....I know it doesn't have Azure AD integration yet but I am ok with that since you can still do some sort of permissioning.  But is there a way to deploy the mapped drive automatically to Azure AD and/or Intune users?

2) Use a Server 216 server in the cloud and put the file server on it....the problem is that I think it has to be joined to Azure AD-DS...and go over a site2site vpn which would be pretty slow.

Another question that I have is…if we implement Azure AD-DS….and join an Azure VM to Azure AD-DS, does that make Azure AD useless and unusable?

Do we need a site-2-site VPN tunnel between Azure and our offices to use Azure AD-DS?

How would our client desktops/users in the office access the Azure VM and authenticate if Azure AD-DS? Do we have to join the local client machines to Azure AD-DS or will our Azure AD accounts (tied to our O365 accounts) still work?

Hi,

Cisco ACI (SDN) API for integration with cloud management platform, google cloud, AWS or etc for my coming project?

My Explanation for your kind clarification:-

1. Uses Cisco CloudCenter Manager user interface or REST API or OpenDaylight APIs (REST) on Northound. Below is the simple diagram and full explanation from Cisco

2. OpenFlow 1.0 / 1.3, OvenVSwitchDB (OVSDB), Netconf/Yang, BGP-LS, PCEP  to programmatically change the configuration of a network device to enable communication on southbound (plug-ins)

3. Network services APIs: Java

Hello Experts

I'm trying to follow the example of how to Install and configure Terraform to provision VMs and other infrastructure into Azure using Azure Cloud shell as described here:

The command, az account show --query "{subscriptionId:id, tenantId:tenantId}" provided the subscription id and tenant id.

However, the command, az account show --query "{subscriptionId:id, tenantId:tenantId}" provided the following error:
The subscription of '' doesn't exist in cloud 'AzureCloud'.

Can someone let me know why I'm getting the error?

Thanks

I need to be able to host files(images in this case) on a server, to be read by my ecommerce website.

I would like to be able to control the names of the files and folders.  For instance, I might want to call the image http://www.hostingsite.com/project1/images/book_cover.jpg

An added bonus would be if I could map a local drive letter, like "X:\" to my hosted folder.  I usually use a combination of FTP and Webdrive to achieve this.

Hello,
I am new to dealing with file server systems and hybrid solutions. My company was looking at a dell emc that was going to have functionality that would take files based on rules and push them to the cloud. This would leave a pointer in place so if an end user would ever need to do anything with the file they would not know it was in the cloud, it would just take a bit longer for it to download. Unfortunately this won't work in our position as the emc product would have to be used as a san or as a file server. We are using it for a hybrid approach.
I would like to continue to use aws for our cloud storage, but what is out there to automatically do what we are looking for? I know that you can backup data to the cloud but I would like to keep IT's involvement low as we are a small team for a larger company.

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well.  I've been looking at a few Single Sign on services provider. Centrify and Azure to name a few. Any other reliable and easy to setup Single Sign on services with excellent support? I have to add about 12 different cloud apps and wanted to make sure I can find one that perhaps will support us through the implementation process since some of the apps are not common.

Looking for Windows Server cloud solution.  Meaning, want to be able to access file stored on a Windows server remotely (basically from mobile devices).  This would primarily be if we need to access a file to email a client when out of the office, etc.  Not sure what the best solution would be.  We absolutely don't want to sync data to a cloud service.  We want all of our data in-house.  I see two possible scenarios:  1.  if there is a product/solution that we can install directly onto the Windows server that will allow this or 2) a Linux based solution that will provide the cloud based interface for the mobile device to access the data that resides on the Windows server.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Lambda backups via AWS - Currently the backup script in place does the backup perfectly fine however it does not add the label to the snapshot. We would like the backup to place the instance name to the snapshot backup so it is easy to understand. I believe such functionality must exist already as having a snapshot created with no label is not helpful, especially if that instance no longer exists.

Current Script:
import boto3
import collections
import datetime

ec = boto3.client('ec2')

def lambda_handler(event, context):
    reservations = ec.describe_instances(
        Filters=[
            {'Name': 'tag-key', 'Values': ['backup', 'Backup']},
        ]
    ).get(
        'Reservations', []
    )

    instances = [
        i for r in reservations
        for i in r['Instances']
    ]

    print "Found %d instances that need backing up" % len(instances)

    to_tag = collections.defaultdict(list)

    for instance in instances:
        try:
            retention_days = [
                int(t.get('Value')) for t in instance['Tags']
                if t['Key'] == 'Retention'][0]
        except IndexError:
            retention_days = 7

        for dev in instance['BlockDeviceMappings']:
            if dev.get('Ebs', None) is None:
                continue
            vol_id = dev['Ebs']['VolumeId']
            print "Found EBS volume %s on instance %s" % (
                vol_id, instance['InstanceId'])

            snap = ec.create_snapshot(

Moving one small datacenter to AzureRM.

What tools do you recommend me to use for both:
- Analyzing the environment and
- Moving the physical and virtual workloads to AzureRM?

We are using Sharepoint with OneDrive. We need to make it so that only the files we are using sync to our computers and then synced to back to Sharepoint and removed when we are done with it. Right now, everything in OneDrive cloud storage keeps trying to sync and it is filling up our local hard drives. Is OneDrive the correct tool, or is there a better way to accomplish this?

When I install OneDrive I see the option to select which folders will sync, but cannot get down to the file level. Also, there are no options to have documents removed from local drive once we I am done working on them.
