before submitting a list to constant-contact I want to see if the emails are actual emails

not just in the correct format
I am working on constant contact for a similar task
but this question is mailchimp only (because the client has mailchimp already)

only using mailchimp or mailchimp api

is there a way to send a website user activation email
I guess sending user their userid
or sending user md5(userid)

where they click to activate their membership on a website
Instantly after member joins website by filling form, want to send email using constant contact mailchimp sendgrid.  If it requires admin interaction or can not be done on any of the 3internet mail programs please let me know

I think constant contact mailchimp require manual list submission making this task impossible
I know that mail open statistics do not work in gmail client because images are turned off by default

but how does sendgrid, constant contact
report that mail is open

maybe they use an image
but how does the image relate to an id which is unique
so I can tell which user opened email

could you answer in php
I want to create an email from a pdf document that can be used in constant contact and/or other email blast companies.  I am a beginner with html.  I have tried this already using Microsoft publisher but I am told the code is terrible and does not work when pasted into email blast companies.

I have a client that uses constant contact.  They want to load up the account with addresses that all users regularly send to.

Using MS EXC 2003, they would like a way to extract all email addersses that they have either sent to or were sent to them over that past few months.

Can I somehow export this using Exchange 2003?

My expectation is that I would receive a CSV with all email addresses that have gone through this Exchange Server.
Hello; I'm looking for an effective way to create an internal company newsletter that will look clean and attractive when users receive it in their email inbox.

I have heard of services such as Constant Contact and iContact; while the analytical features of these services would be great, the information in question is too sensitive to entrust to a third party email distributor.

What are my options, steps, templates, etc... for creating an internal newsletter; we use SharePoint 2007 (going to 2010 in a bit) if that can be utilized.
I have a client who uses Constant Contact to blast out mass emails.  Whenever someone subscribes or unsubscribes from this blasting list, a summary report is sent to an address, which is specified/validated in Constant Contact.

I have two situations in which this is failing.  For the first, the emails seem to reach the original delivery point just fine.  In this particular case, this is simply an account on an in-house Exchange server that can be accessed in whatever means desired.  This account is set to forward a copy of each message received to the client, who is on an external email address.  When I send a message directly to this account, it forwards on without a hitch.  When messages come through from, they do not get forwarded.  Using the Mail Tracking Tool, it tells me the message is successfully delivered locally, then Outbound Transfer of Message starts, then an NDR is generated.  The messages never even hit the Reflexion server.  Constant Contact does not have an inbox which catches these NDR messages, so I cannot even see what error is being generated (can't find it in the event logs, either).

The other scenario where this is happening is with a hosted Exchange distribution list.  When messages are set to go to the address of the distribution list, nobody gets the message.  Sending an email from my account to the distribution list works fine.  It must be set to go directly to a user's mailbox to get …
I use Constant Contact for email blasts and Ez Texting for text blasts.

I'm looking for a service that does both email and text blasting.  Can anyone reccommend a service that does both?
Can constant contact be installed on windows server 2008 to send email when a PHP file tells it to.  IE: when a customer buys a product.  Also I have to install an 'email server' to interact with Smtp. Could constant contact be a replacement
I built a member system for a chamber of commerce client.  They currently use Constant Contact for email blasts.  Their challege is maintaining two email lists.  I currently have the CC widget on the site that allows people to signup to recieve email blasts, but is there code or any other recommendations for syncing up their member database w/Constant Contact on a regular basis?  Either by having them kick something off, or any time an email is added or changed it automatically updates Constant Contact?  Let me know.  Thanks.
I have a xhtml email file that I've developed but I'm trying to integrate it in to Constant contact. I know there are some CC specific tags for functionality but I can't seem to find any sort of codex on tags and customizing an email. Does someone have these tags? CC is no help.
We have an email marketing campaign using Constant Contact. The email is formatted and looks fine when viewed in browsers, but the margins and spaces between paragraphs is very ugly when viewed in Outlook.

Has anyone solved this problem?
I am trying to create an email template using nothing but tables for constant Contact.
Tables are not my strong suite. If you look at the URL below you will see
at the bottol were the social icons are there are cell lines.
Also there is an image at the top that is not sitting onto of the cell below. as if there was a space between the cells. Also how do I move the image? Do I have to use a space gif?
Is it possible to create a bookmark link in html email?
I'm going to be using constant contact and was wondering if this is possible. Has anyone done something similar.

In the email the will have a link to a web page and it automattically adds the page to thier favorites.

I know there is java script out there that may work, but I'm not sure it will work with constant contact.

After reading answers from my first one and a couple after I closed, I realized that I didn't give enough info.  Yes, I am brand new to bulk email (and only a year in I.T.).  I am in a mid-sized family-owned real estate co. that currently sends out a biweekly email to 1,000 recipients (saved in Excel).  We have a Microsoft SBS 2003 server and run Exchange.  One person suggested hosting offsite so we don't get blacklisted, but my boss does like the security of keeping everything inside.  Since we are small, we are looking for an inexpensive solution, but he also wants it to be almost all self-managed, such as people clicking on unsubscribe or replying and putting Unsubscribe in the Subject Line or at the worst we can manage it with a click of a button.  Lastly, we want to send html embedded in the body of the email, not attached like an icon.
So far, the following recommendations have come in:  listserv, Cake Mail, Constant Contact, iContact, and SmartSerialMail, the latter of which I have downloaded and successfully sent an embedded html.
I have an email newsletter created using Constant Contact. In the body of the letter I have
a link to an audio file (either mp3 or wma.) When I preview the letter and click the link to the audio file, a blank browser page momentarily appears and then the audio file starts to play (either in windows media player or in iTunes.)
1. Is there something I can do to prevent this blank window form opening - and just play the audio?
2. Is there a way to embed or include a player in the body of the message to that when a user reads it,
it doesn't depend on the user having a particular audio player installed on their machine?

Thanks in advance for any help.
When creating the html code for an email we are using slices in Photoshop or Illustrator then exporting for web and saving as HTML & Images. When we test the code in a browser such IE Fire Fox, or Chrome the finished product works great. As soon as I attempt to copy and past the code into constant contact or of recently for testing purposes import into outlook itself I get these white spaces between each slice. How do I get rid of these spaces?

How should i classify Constant Contact expenses in Quickbooks?
I currently post them as Marketing?
should that be classiffy different
i use them to send my newsletters, invitations, registration links, etc

please advise

I would like to be able to use the images on the server for my constant contact email marketing account so that anything coming from would be allowed.  Below is the code I'm using in my .htaccess file from the root of my site.

Thanks for the help

I have an email signup form for an external service (constant contact) on a splash page.

The code is below. I wanted to have the submit button both submit the form and redirect the page from the splash to main page, however I can't get the multiple actions to work.

I am limited in the sense that I have to have constant contact's form action, it pops up in a new window.

Any suggestions?

I have an email marketing system set up on my server, and I am currently purchasing email sending from an SMTP relay service. The service has provided me SPF and DKIM records that I have set up on the domain that I have the email marketer installed on that physically sends the emails (

I also manage email marketing campaigns for many of my clients from this system. When I send an email out on behalf of my clients, the "From" field in my email marketer looks like "" which I type in. I am noticing though that many of my clients emails are ending up in the SPAM folder in bigger sites like Hotmail and Gmail.

My question is, where is the proper place to install the SPF and DKIM records? On the domain that I have the email marketer installed which I have currently, or do I need to be adding it to whatever domains I specify the "From" to be on the outgoing emails? The emails are technically coming FROM ""... I always thought the "From" that I put in when sending it out is just a vanity name.

If I have to something with my actual clients domains, then how do sites like Mailchimp and Constant Contact work? I don't think they do anything with the clients domain, yet they still seem to have high deliverability rates.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
On occasion I get emails from others that are very nicely formatted with background colors, Images and layout.  I have often wondered how this is done. One, I have noticed, is the result of using an email provider Constant Contact. This is nice but it is fee based.   Others, I don't know how they do it.

I am somewhat PC literate and know, for example I can create a formatted .PDF.  But this is an attachement.  What I am looking for is a way to have an email received with the formatting built right into the email, not something they have to click on to open and see.

I have MS publisher, and will have MS 2010.  Don't know if publisher or PowerPoint has a way of doing that or not.  Also have Acrobat 9 Pro. Just wondering if someone here can give me some direction.
BACKSTORY:Recently, a customer ordered an ebook from a website I own, and never received the autoresponder confirming the sale and providing the registration key to open it.

He was aware it should have been sent right away and contacted me by email.

I have my sales fulfillment system configured so that I always receive a copy of such emails and did in fact receive a copy of the one that was sent to him, so I knew it was sent out. I copied the contents and pasted them into a personal response and sent it off.

The next day, he wrote again, asking why he had not heard from me. I suspected something was wrong and replied to his email immediately simply acknowledging that email and asking him to  write back immediately as there seemed to be a problem.

Not hearing from him, I had my wife email from her account (we share the same Internet access via a router and both have Earthlink accounts) to ask if had received ANY emails from me, and to call if he had not. He did receive her email and called me. He did not receive ANY of my emails---and I had not received any bounceback/undeliverable notices at all.

Nasty problem, eh?

His address was a address and the techs there indicate that my address may have been added to their blocked list, possibly because I've sent out bulk mailings.

I have indeed sent out mailings over the last year to a list of almost 800 subscribers, all of whom were double opt-ins and happy to get my information. I have been using the business version…
I have an urgent job that needs to be done asap. Basically a client sends out promo emails every month to their database of over 30,000 people.
I normally just get sent the email from the ad company and I cut and paste into Constant Contact and it goes to everyone on the list and only takes me 10 mins to do.
This next one is different and there is a unique code that needs to go into each email and to do this manually will take me too long. Does anyone have a way to do this so that a unique code can be in each email before it goes out - I'm not sure if this can be done easily in Constant Contact by importing the codes and doing a mail merge or something.
Anyone have an solution?
