Hi there,
I'm trying to come up with what would be the best platform to built a website for a church. I know this question isn't easy but let me give you a few details on the church so a better suggestion can be provide it.
1. the church uses a live-stream component and over 20,000 concurrent viewer watch its live sermons.
2. the church has a shopping cart where some sermons are made available for people to download.
3. The church uses a online-donating option.
They would like to keep this functionality.
Currently they are using:
Webserver: Apache 2.2.22
Framework: Drupal 7
Language: PHP 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.24

Hi everybody.
I'm starting with WP.
I have installed Experon theme, then I created a child theme following these instructions.
Finally I have activated and slightly modified the theme using built-in functionalities.

I have uploaded the logo image and set it up in the admin panel but that done the site title is no more displayed.
What's going wrong?

Finally I have activated and slightly modified the theme using built-in functionalities. Everything went fine (not so difficult, isn't it? :))

Now I want to change the slider images: after a lot of browsing I ended up manually changing the code in the file responsible of the markup (located in theme root/admin/main/options/02.homepage.php. I have manually resized images to fit the slider dimensions and all looks good but I'm wondering (and I suspect) there is another more correct way to do it.
Any idea?
Say, storing contacts and getting access to them, I find, has been an on-going issue. I am looking for a cloud-based software with good management of contact (name, surname, contact numbers, addresses etc). It's important that we can access the database via an ODBC link or direct link from within Microsoft Access. Kindly suggest Open Source and Paid for options. It's also important that Custom contact fields  can be created. A Good To Have, would be a history of changes to the contact, eg. if address changes or phone numbers change, that the history is kept, thanks, Shaun.
I find many services that will track who, when, where, but not what. Is there an audit software / service that can log actual content changes to documents? Like, it said "bla" before and now it says "yadda yadda"?

Reason for all this is I need to set up a rock solid employee form I-9 vault, and also want to store all other employee sensitive info in there as well, like W-9's. Gov regs are that all changes to those docs must have a strong audit trail.
I had this question after viewing my original question Outdated content on client's Wiki still appears in Google Search.

It's been just over 90 days (which I understood was some sort of limit) since I submitted these requests to Google and they are now showing as expired per this link:

How can I renew the requests for another 90 days?

I am trying to improve my website speed ranking as per Google's page speed insights. I found some code on the net that apparently helps with that but I just wanted to check if anyone had a solution other than these or if these would work. Some suggestions were to take all the content from your css files and put them into one, but that sounds cumbersome.

Here was one suggestion I found ( I think, unless I misunderstood the blog post)

I am looking for the following in a platform:

i. Document management system (DMS) - currently, our team stores documents on personal drives, shared drives and so on which makes it hard to access! Whichever DMS system we use needs to be easy to search, find, view documents. I did like SP 2013's document preview option.

ii. Wiki/ FAQ functionality

iii. Task Management - At the moment, we use JIRA. Does either confluence or SP 2013 have any of this capability?

iv. Multiple users access and edit the same document at the same time - e.g. during team meetings?

Other nice to haves:

v. Outlook integration - the ability to move a file from Outlook to the DMS (requirement 1), rather than save it and then store it

vi. Mobile integration

Curious what one platform offers over the other.
I like to review those who re-tweeted me and follow them. But I know there must be hundreds of people I have overlooks over this year.

Is there an automated way for me to get such a list?

Those are people that may follow me or not, but:

1) they retweeted me one to more times
2) I do not follow them

I would like a list of these so I can click them and follow them.

I currently use Joomla 3.4 to create my website I’m trying to create an effect where the bottom of the page seems to fade out.
As I’m a complete novice to CSS, Scripting and Html I found a ready made solution here. The Example seems to fit my needs.
I think I have managed to tweak the script.css file to work for me, however I’m having a problem with the index.html file. Basically, in the index.html file is following code that makes this work..

I have done a lot of research and there is a bunch of code on the web that will achieve this requirement e.g., however due to my lack of experience with coding and this sort of thing,   but I wouldn’t know …
I have a Wordpress blog coming up in a few days and need a WP plug-in that will enable me to make up quizzes.

I do not expect to require anything special. I expect it to:

- keep score each time quiz is taken
- automated score keeping and database update
- admin option to block correct answer from ever being shown
- perhaps a UI for me to create the quiz
- some metrics for me as admin to see how many people take the quiz, how may pass/fail
- responsive
- social with perhaps an option to ("get a life line") , but I would never us that trademarked term

I am willing to pay a few dollars if there is an exceptional plug-in.

Im looking to deploy IAM and was wondering if anyone knows a good IAM system that could accomplish the following tasks?

We would want to be able to control and automate access to various applications including:

-      Automatic provisioning and de-provisioning of application access - automatically creating and removing user accounts within apps)
-      Single sign on to application – users to be able to login to application automatically based on their AD login
-      Password management within application – system able to automatically manage password expiry and password changes within application
-      Self service password reset (AD) – system have a mechanism for staff to reset and manage their AD passwords themselves

The scope of application has not been specifically defined but the focus would be majority of the application that we use which currently have a separate login and manual user account setup. Let me know if you need further clarification.

I would also be interested in other features of IAM that we can make use of.
I always find it easier to answer a question if I know the askers' goal, so here goes:

Goal: I want to dynamically list pages in alpha order.  I have a list of ransomware variants, each with multiple links to pages about them.  This continually grows.  The individual pages I am taking care of using Zotero and zotpress. Currently, the list is done using W4 Post List.  The resultant page is here.  I would like something more along these lines, but I would like to do it with a wordpress plugin, free or paid.  I am willing to go the tab route, as long as I can make 26 alpha tabs and have the contents of each tab dynamically list in alpha order.

I am open to almost any solution that fulfills these needs.
In this case, I'm trying to build a website that provides a directory of specialised businesses, with a page information for each. Each business needs to be assigned to one or more categories, one or more service types, and have a few other custom bits of information.

I need to put together a custom search for the homepage using the defined categories, service types and other custom bits of information.

My experience with Wordpress so far is a few weeks troubleshooting of existing websites, so I don't know much about how to choose a good plugin and how to create things like custom searches or set up the custom business data fields as described above. I'd appreciate advice relating to this particular project, but also any more general advice relating to choosing Wordpress plugins and customising them.
I am looking for a WordPress plugin that will:

(1) Allow users with authorized login (email / password) download documents.

(2) Manage documents on server including upload, update, delete. This requires an "admin" access, DIFFERENT from document retrieval access.

(3) Make sure docs are NOT findable by Google Search.

(4) Easy to use & intuitive for NON technical personnel.

I am developing a wordpress website hosted under a subdomain. I have a folder created under public_html directory where all the wordpress core files are stored.

Now i want to move this site to the root where the original website is running. How can i do this safely?

I searched on the Google and found lot many articles leading to more confusion. Can you please suggest any definite and proven step-by-step method? It will be highly appreciated.

Can i move the website under some directory instead of root? If yes, how to go about it?

One more sub question -  If i download all the content to a local computer via FTP and upload to the desired directory, What will happen to the database? Will it still work?  Thank you.

Greetings say for sample with the content type Basic Page, there is a field called Approved (Machine name: approved). When user submits content that content gets published to the users page. However in order for what the user published, an admin would have to edit that content and check the box Approved to allow the content to appear on the homepage.

Is there a way that when the user creates a new draft of that content to reset the Approved field to NULL or blank when the user saves the new draft? Let me know. Thanks

Suppose you have a OneNote (or Excel) table (Table A) of certain dimensions (rows x columns) with values in some or all of the cells. And suppose you have another table with identical dimensions in OneNote (Table B) which is blank.

Is there a way to paste the contents of Table A into Table B and have the cell values from Table A populate the corresponding cells in Table B?

Of course a copied table, when pasted to a blank location in OneNote, takes the form of the source table. However, whenever I have attempted to paste the same clipboard content into an existing table, the entire source table ends up in a single cell. In other words, it creates sort of a table within a table which is not what I want.

I have a website that was built using Joomla.  There are about 500 pages of content.  The new site will be built on Wordpress.  Is there a good widget out there that I can use to "scrape" the content from the old site that will make it easier to move to the New site?

I have two small children and from time to time, I allow them to watch baseball or some type of lectures online, via YouTube....but it has come at a COST.  Every now and then I notice that there is content that should not be allowed to be viewed.  This normally comes in as suggestions when viewing YouTube.  Is there a way to get rid of this content?  I don't want to be worried about this every time.

Hi , quite often we get a third party supplier , comms or software provider and they will make a change to our client or their network and that may in turn impact us, have any of the experts here able to share a tempate? Basically want the client and suplliers to record what they are doing so we can manage any fallout.

I inherited a very old wordpress site.  For security, I upgraded to newest version of twenty eleven and it totally changed things.  I wasn't surprised by this but am confused as to how to fix.

1. Add logo?  
I would have thought it would be in the customization panel but it was not.

2. Remove search box in header?  
It is not a widget so am not sure how to remove.

3. Move content to left so it is flush with Home button
I selected content left from customization but it doesn't budge.  When I select content right - it doesn't move either.
