Hello there,

I have developed a report with SSRS 2012 and when I view the report on the reporting server for some reason the first row of the tablix on page 2 gets hidden under the column header. What could it be??. Also I have enabled to show the column header as and when I scroll down the page but it is not working in here. But this feature is working in the SQL Server Data tool when I test there. I am testing on IE 11. Please help,.

Hello,
I am trying to export crystal report to be sent by Email using MHTML format type in VS2013 using below command
CrReport.ExportToDisk(HTML32, "FilePath.html")
CrReport.ExportToDisk(HTML40, "FilePath.html")

I notice that we can export during crystal report preview using MHTML but I could not find this format type during runtime
we are working crystal report for Visual studio 2013
Any hint?

Hello.  I am writing Access 2010 vba script to automatically send access reports to multiple email recipients.  however, I need to prevent or turn off the warnings "...Program trying to send...confirm..."  How can I do this?

I'm trying to create a report that will show me what stage a non-conformance report is in.  There's various tabs within the program that get completed (Origination, Investigation, Disposition, and Verification) There is a check box that the user marks to complete that particular section.    I thought that the best way to be able to show me the current stage was to  group my report by what stage it is in.  So I've attempted to create a formula but I'm having issues getting the formula's syntax correct.

Is this the best/easiest way to do this?  I also suppose I need to check if isnull in my formula as well which I haven't done yet.

I have 2 instance of database on my machine,SQLServer 2012 and SQLServer 2008R2,Please see screenshot. I will be using the 2008R2 database for data and SQL2012 for SSIS,SSRS implementation. Now my packages are ready for deployment. But I am stuck from here. While deploying I need to refer the Server name  to which instance of SQL.

I have a table that lists employee ID's, FIrstName, LastName, etc.
Other tables used in my report has the Employee ID.
The user isn't going to know the employee ID's, only their name.

I created a formula that displays the employee's full name.  I want the user to be able to select which employees he wants filtered in the report.  How can I achieve this?

I have 2 servers one is production which I have mssql2008 R2 installed on MSSERVER 2003 and I have another server MSSERVER 2012 which has MSSQL 2012. Now I want to create log shipping between the two DB. That is, the source will be sq2008r2 and target sql2012. Also I want to know will IS,RS,AS for SQL2012 work with SQL2008 DB.

Hello guys,
here its the problem..

cannot open DHCP, DNS  or any other administration tools DC, IIS, ROUTING even the task manager.
what i noticed its that it seems to open, but it flash real quick and got close.

i am suspicious about a virus, i ran antivirus and spyware but still same issue.

any idea ?

The solution needs to work like crystal reports for the web in allowing the user to run canned reports, create new reports, export to pdf and excel along with creating and modifying templates,

Hello Experts,

I have built two queries using two different Universe. One Universe will give me data for the year 2015 and another data will give data for 2016.

Our fiscal calendar for 2015 ( October 2014 to September 2015). Hence I have the complete data for the year 2015 in one "Universe" .

For the year 2016 I will get the data from another Universe, which will get refreshed everyday.

I am doing an analysis where I need to compare the 2015 and 2016 data together.

Experts, please let me know if there is way to append 2015 and 2016 data using queries created by two different universe.

The data for 2015 remains constant, the data for 2016 should get append as soon its refreshed. Please advise if there is a way to append this data.

We have a customer that utilized SQL Report builder in Visual Studio 2005. They are retiring this setup and are looking for a modern solution that will provide the same/similar features/functions that the report builder in Visual Studio 2005 had. They also will need to access multiple version of SQL Server instances to build reports off of, so a new solution with backwards compatibility. The customer reviewed SQL Server Report Builder 2014 and said that it was too basic and a "downgrade" from the one in the earlier version of Visual Studio.

I mostly have only done single parameter's into my reports and today find myself needing to pass two. Syntax wise, I know this is wrong, can someone help point out my mistake? I have tried several combos and it just isnt going.

I have data with column  Fiscal Year; Fiscal Week; Fiscal Month; Transaction Date; Order Amount - C$I used below mentioned syntax to calculate "Day of the Week" _day_of_week ([Transaction Date],1) ( i got the results 1 for Monday; 2 for Tuesday ........ 7 for Sunday). Then i used below mentioned syntax to get only Monday's in the new column. If ([Day]='1') then ('Monday') else (' ') ( Here also i got the results) Now, I want Amount for only Mondays: For E.g.: Order amount Only Mon Only Mon amount$100                                  Monday                   $100$20
$30 Monday$30
$40$200

I tried using the below mentioned syntax to get above mentioned results, But not successful:( (Getting weird reults)

Hi. I am building an access database. The database is to track projects, so I have one table for the project details, and a different database for the details of each sub-contractor (i.e. a table for "contractors", another table for "Landscapers", one for "Woodworkers", etc).  The project table has fields that link to these other tables so I can insert the name of the particular Landscaper, or particular general contractor who is working on that project.  This all seems to work ok.
Then I built a report to spit out the data for each project. So the project name, number, owner name, etc is on the report, as well as the name / info for each sub-contractor that is selected in the project itself.  Strange thing is happening on the report though.  Every field for these people must be filled in, or nothing at all shows up on the report. If I fill in every single option, then it all shows up.  But not every project has all these people - not every project will have a landscaper - but if any of these fields are not filled in - then just nothing gets pulled into the report.  I'm not sure if it's how I built the report - and somehow all the fields are linked in the report, or if it's something to do with the table structure.  I tend to think it has to do with how I built the report though. Any one ever come across this? Any ideas? Thanks!

I am a newbie to Cognos. I am using Cognos version 10.2.

I have a column named "Transaction_Date" in my data, using this i am trying to calculate "Day of the week"( i.e 1 is the first day of the week as indicated by the second parameter (1 to 7, 1 being Monday and 7 being Sunday).

I used the below mentioned syntax to get the results:

_day_of_week ([Time Metrics].[Transaction Date]],1)

But I am getting an error message as mentioned below:

Parsing error before or near position: 52 of: "_day_of_week ([Time Metrics].[Transaction Date]],1)"

I am clueless how to proceed further, since the syntax seems okay...

It would of great help if any one can help me to get the results.

I have a report on SSRS that produces a range of dates (activity_date) of a particular field in a SQL DB. What I want to do is create an expression so that the cell appears red/yellow/green based on the value of another date (valid_to) of the same field if the activity_date is greater than 2 weeks, less than two weeks or late.

Is this possible and if so how can I do this?

I need help with a Crystal XI report.  I need to add images for each row in my report.
Currently, I display the ItemNumber, ItemDescription, and ItemQty.
The item information is stored in a SQL Server 2008 R2 database.
Here's the query I use for my report:
SELECT  ItemNumber, ItemDescription, and ItemQty FROM tblItems

I would like to add images to each row\item.  Each image is named after the ItemNumber.
The images are stored in the following file path:
C:\ReportImages\

How can I add the images to my report?

Im stumped. How can I sum up the rows below in a table in SSRS where it involves a textbox expression? See image.

I tried using SUM(ReportItems!Textbox1.Value), but I get an error saying that it can only work if its on a header or footer.

Please someone help! I cannot change the layout so I have to try to fit it in this design.

The circle box is where the total should be for the items in the table below in SSRS 2008.
