I've recorded a conversation using my cell phone and the built-in mic on my Acer Windows 10 laptop. My guest sounds, as you would expect, like he's on a telephone. But the "phone" quality is in many cases raspy. I can usually tweak and edit silence and such pretty good, but I need help here.

I've tried several different settings but just can't get my guest's audio to sound less sharp, less "telephone-y" and simply more clear.

Any audio production experts out there who can give me what I hope will be a little simple guidance to clean this audio up?

Starter acoustic guitar for use with the Chord Buddy, Android smartphone, and sound amplification

I purchased this thing called the Chord Buddy and am considering this option for a starter acoustic guitar

I don't want to spend a fortune but I would like to give myself some long-term options in case I actually enjoy it.

Is it possible to have this guitar interface with my cell phone in some way?

I want to make sure I am going down a reasonably flexible path before dropping another $150-$200 on a guitar, etc first.

Your thoughts and some guidance here would be greatly appreciated.
On a page on my website, I have have 5 mini-players side by side, each of which played a different promotional announcement for features on the site that changed weekly. I had been using Dewplayer, as it was very easy to use, just the right size and worked well. All I had to do was to change the mp3 file for each player and that was that.

Now, with Flash getting the axe bit by bit, I need to find another such player

I thought this would be no big deal, but I haven't found anything yet that I like.

So I'm asking you experts for some help and suggestions on this, preferably players that you know first-hand and are 100% non-Flash powered.
As you may know,  Adobe will be ending support for its Flash player about a year from now.

With the major browsers already blocking Flash-powered players, I am looking for a very simple replacement. I want to put 4 or 5 of those players on one page, make it small and simple, to provide an audio "promo" for each one that I will change weekly.

I have been using Dewplayer, which did the job extremely well, but since it was Flash based, it's trashed now.

I've done some searching the past couple of days and I don't see much of anything that jumps out at me.

Can anyone recommend something that will get this job done?
Is there any software out there (preferrably free, maybe garage band)  that I could use to put together some acoustic guitar chords to go along with singning?  I am using a MAC
I have an old DVD that I love dearly and I want to upload to my cloud and see it any time.  However, when I was about to upload, I thought it was just mp4  files of but it's not.   The DVD is compose of two folders "JACKET_P" and "VIDEO_TS" where the last holds about 4 or 4 GB of data (mostly VOB files) also had 3 files in the root folder of AUTORUN.INF, dvd-rom.exe and go.exe.  I could contact the guys that did this recording but my colleague tells me that that is the format since it has menus and other stuff.

I just want to save my DVD, if possible with the same menu options, in my cloud account and be able to see it anytime and from my computer, iPhone and iPad.  Anyways, I have received a whole bunch of advice that just don't make sense, so help please.

•      Line input for connecting to an external Audio Mixer.
•      Resetable Circuit breaker for Overload/ Short circuit protection

Any suggestion will help? Thanks
Regardless of listening to music or video, I'm experiencing intermittent static while plugged into my office iMac. The static noise is every few seconds, but there is no consistent timing between noises. I moved the cable away from other electronics and power cords to no avail. Muting audio does not prevent noise. The headphones are Audio-Technica ATH-M40x and the computer is an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6

I also plugged the headphones into my MacBook Pro (also running High Sierra 10.13.6) and the static ceased, so the headphones are fine?
I regularly travel using Audible books for entertainment, and would like to find the best Bluetooth wireless headset that would allow me to listen to my books but also make and answer telephone calls on my iPhone.  I really don't care about stereo, and would prefer a single-ear device with an ear-hook (since ear buds tend to fall out of my ears).  But when I looked into the top rated devices (Plantronics 5200 and Sennheiser Presence) it isn't clear if they will allow me to listen to books & music in between phone calls.  Can you please recommend a device that satisfies these requirements?

Any suggestions on a bluetooth speaker that I can hook up to my iphone so I can hands free talk in my car on the road?  Old car, don't have bluetooth to hear calls through car speakers.

I made a voice recording (a speech) in a echo-filled room.
How can I use audacity to get rid of the echo in the recording?
Apple Airpods microphone is not working with Windows 10 Pro.

After some research I found this response saying the microphone will not work.  This is from two years ago.

Are there any new updates that will allow me to use my Airpods microphone on Windows 10?

Why do I need this ability?
I use Slack, Skype, Zoom daily and this would be nice to use and not have to resort to plugging in my earbuds to use those apps just so the microphone works.

Additional info:
When I use my Airpods with Zoom I've noticed that I can hear everyone talking through the Airpods, but I believe my laptop mic is still the one being used when I talk.  This is fine.  I can hear people talking in the Airpods and I can still use the laptop microphone.

When I use my Airpods with Slack or Skype I've noticed that as soon as I join a call all audio/mic is killed on the Airpods and I have to stop using the Airpods and plug in my earbuds to be able to talk/hear others on a call.  It would be awesome if Slack and Skype would allow me to do the same as I do with Zoom!

Eg Slack interface when I make or receive a phone call > Settings

No matter what option I choose here in the drop down I cannot get audio in the Airpods, but I have had success getting the laptop microphone to work.
Thank you for reading.
I am putting together what I call a computer audio workstation for my office. To cut to the chase, what I want to do is use BOTH a Toshiba laptop a Dell desktop along with an external CD player/burner.  i will also be recording vocal stuff using a couple of microphones routed  to computer through a Berhinger Eurorack mixer.

I'd like to use the screen on the laptop as a monitor for the Dell for certain applications.

I know this sounds a bit old school, and it is. I have some specific audio recording work I'm planning to do on a regular basis and have determined hat a separate audio workstation will  enable me to do it easily and  save time.

What do you recommend?
I need to upload a 113,972 KB MP3 file to YouTube.  That means I need to run it through a converter that will change it to an MP4 with an image.

I've done this often with a free utility, but this file is too large for that free converter.  I don't mind paying for a service or buying an app if someone can point me to one that's legitimate.

Need help choosing a WP Podcast theme for PowerPress

I am unsure what particular details should govern my decision.

I think any special requirements will be covered by PowerPress. So, as far as the theme, I just need a simple way to show a snippet of text and potentially a unique photo, for each episode.

I need a header image where I can have a 60 second audio where I SELL the podcast.

As far as audio players, and outreach to listeners, PowerPress covers that.

So, can you suggest a Theme that works well with PowerPress?

I have many voicemails that I transferred from my Android phone Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a file extension .smil. that I can not listen to . Can you advise me on what to use in order to listen to them? Also, why does the voice mail gets recorded in this file extension not other ones like .avi or .mp3?  Thank you
Dear users,
assume that we have a 10:00 minutes conversation audio file and that you are suspecting that this file was cutted from the minute 5:00; in other words, the person who gives you tath file has probably used an audio editor to delete the first 5 minutes. So, this file is not created with i.e. a smartphone voice recorder but by an audio editor program. How can I check it? Is a audio-spectrum or a particular audio analyzer that can check this?

Thank you very much!

PS: the problem is not, a central part is cutted and the first and last are merged (in this case is easy check a discontinuity of spectrum). The problem is that, the entire start part is cutted.
I need to extract some metadata from folders of mp3 files. I thought I had the answer but I've hit a stumbling block.

Example: Looking into a typical file folder, by just viewing it in Windows, I see this :

Windows Screen Shot of Contents
I want to extract (is that the right word?) the Titles and the corresponding Contributing Artists  and be able to place those files into a .csv or Excel file  to be placed into two categories, Title of Recording and Featured Artist of Recording.

I've been told that this can be done using Mp3tag, which I have, but I can't quite seem to configure it the way I need to

If there's another relatively uncomplicated solution, I'm open to haring about it.

FYI, I will be using this for about 4000 songs and any new ones added to the batch to comply with licensing and reporting requirements.
I have large building that is really 3 old building tied together.  Wiring from one building to another is difficult, not impossible, but very difficult.
The goal is to have the background music in all building playing the same thing (from one source).   Currently there are speakers in each building and each "building's speakers" go to an old stereo tuner of some sort amplifying the signal.

We have a "Music on Hold" device that allows music and "ads" to be loaded onto a USB and this device has a simply RCA Out jack that feeds into one of the tuners.
We have standard 14ga SPEAKER WIRE running from the center-most tuner to the other 2 tuners.  If looking at the attached PDF, we have speaker wire running from A to B, and from A to C.
If that wire can be used to connect them together that would be AWESOME.  If I need to run a different kind of wire because of new equipment needed, so be it.
I have attached a rough diagram that hopefully will make clearer my situation.

My question is what device(s) can I get to make all these speakers play from one source?   Either new amplifiers, or something that could go from an output of one amplifier to an input of another.   AND.... of course I'm trying to do this as inexpensively as possible.
Thans for any help.AudioDiagram.pdf

Please tell me how phone can ring in headset instead of in phone. I want ringer to wake me but not to wake anyone else.
I am running Windows 10.  I am not an audiophile, but I need to combine and do minor editing with a variety of audio clips.   I don't mind paying for a program that will let me import a few audible files and put them end-to-end and then save it as a new file.  What is the best bet?

I need a phone number for BEHRINGER company. They manufacture audio equipment. I need configuration assistance. I cannot locate any contact information phone wise. Even the selling dealer could not assist me.
I have speakers plugged in and recognized because audio is playing out of them on the 3.5 mm audio (headphone) port on my windows 10 pro tab.  However these speakers are not appearing in the playback tab of the "Sound" setting of the control panel nor are they found in either "Sound, video, and game controllers" or "Audio inputs and outputs" of the control panel.

What is found under:

Audio inputs and outputs:
Microphone (Intel SST Audio Device (WDM))
Speakers (Intel SST Audio Device (WDM))

Sound, video, and game controllers:
Intel SST Audio Device (WDM)
Realtek I2S Audio Codec

Playback tab of the Sound setting in the control panel:
Speakers Intel SST Audio Device (WDM)
Default Device

Also, none of these settings change when these speakers are plugged into this 3.5 mm audio (headphone) port.

What I would like to do is, using Visual Basic 6.0,  when a command button is clicked (cmdSound1_Click()), have a message (msgbox) that reads simply if there is a device installed in this  3.5 mm audio (headphone) port.  For example "Hardware found in audio port" or "No Hardware found in audio port, please be sure that the speakers are powered on before trying again."
I have a fiend who wants to copy music files from a PC to an iPhone? I downloaded a free program called AnyTrans but it didn't work.
Also, the music on his PC is neatly categorized into folders, which are further categorized into sub-folders, etc. Even if AnyTrans had worked, we would have had to select the music from each individual folder (very tedious) and then dump them all into one big folder on the iPhone (when we tested AnyTrans we only copied about a dozen music files from one of the folders).
This may be asking for too much, but is it possible to not only copy the music but to do it with them all still in their respective folders?
I'm having a problem with the audio output on my Windows 10 system, which is signified by the following message: "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." But it's a little more complicated than that.

I'm leasing a "high-end" computer from Blade, on which I'm running a couple of games. I'm new to cloud-based gaming, so I'll let them explain it…

Shadow is a high-end streaming service for games. What does this mean? Any game you can play on a Windows 10 computer, you can play on Shadow using virtually any device you want! Turn a laptop, Mac, smartphone, tablet or even a 5-year-old PC into a high-end gaming rig through the Shadow app. Then, all you have to do is download your current game library to your Shadow account and start playing all your favorite PC games on max settings! We provides all of the power you'd get from a gaming computer at a fraction of the cost with none of the maintenance!. Our data centers are upgraded with every new generation of technology at no additional cost to you!

I can connect to my Shadow server in either of two ways: There is a client that runs as a Windows desktop application. Alternatively, there's a physical appliance that Blade has named "Ghost." The Ghost  connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi, and includes several USB ports (both USB2 and USB3) as well as an Ethernet port, an HDMI port and a headphone jack. When I'm accessing the cloud server (i.e., the Shadow) from the Windows desktop application, everything works fine.…
