Trying to run mutiple versions of MS Access Run Time on Windows 2016 Server with mutiple CPUs & plenty of ram AT THE SAME TIME

To create a large number of reports at the same time. Kind of A Simple Parallel Solution.

But EACH added Access.exe DECREASES performance (opposite of intended need) so i am thinking i should put each MS Access Run Time into its OWN VM window or even better containerize or dockerize each MS Access exe... but i do not see anybody else explaining or doing the docker/containerize method by step by step example.

Anybody have experience doing this... ?

1 - Maybe assigning specific individual threads to each MS.exe and only that MS.exe ? Has anybody done this idea that way ?

2 - The Virtual Machine way is a bit of overkill and a big setup and cost but now with Microsoft going containers with Win 10 and Windows Server 2016... Containers (docker etc) may be the way to go cost and effort wise.

Thoughts ?

how can I get a docker container to contiully restart all the time . I am using this for a demo and what a simple container that all it will do is keep restarting

I guess pass a command to it for "sudo reboot" or something like that ?

I wanted to try an ipam called netbox.  It is suggested to install this on ubuntu. I created an ubuntu 16 VM.  I have only used linux a handful of times.  From what I understand a docker version of an application contains all of the dependencies of the application.  Should this application be ready to go after I run the docker install command on this page? https://github.com/digitalocean/netbox-docker

I have a hyper-v machine that I have installed ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS server.  I installed Docker using the command apt-get install -y docker.io .  When I run the command service docker.io status the response is that the machine cannot find docker .. running the same command and just using docker (not docker.io) the response is that it is running.  I thought ubuntu had its own docker service that is not the same as Docker, and so we need to use "docker.io" to distinguish.

I'm looking for some clarification here, since I am totally new to docker and ubuntu ...

I can find some but how can you just do a docker search for containers ( Images) that will run on Windows 2016?

like here I am seaching for "microsoft" but when I attempt to run one of them I get the message seen here

Our applications run on Windows server, rather than Linux, so I've been following the Docker story from somewhat of a distance. I understand that Docker will be available for Windows 2016 and was curious what this meant.

Could someone please help me understand what it is;

My overview is that it's a containerisation technology for servers. Back in the day, if I had App1 and App2, they would either run on two different physical servers or be combined onto one, albeit with the risk of conflicting with each other. Then we moved to virtualisation (ESX et al) and the two servers were virtual, rather than physical, but servers nonetheless, each with its own OS.

With Docker, I can run the two apps on the same server in their own container. They won't conflict with each other, nor access the same files etc. Is this basically correct?

I guess it's an element of cloud computing/ SaaS where we were more interested with the application technology rather than the underlying server hardware any more.
