Document Imaging

Document imaging is an information technology category for systems capable of replicating documents commonly used in business. Document imaging systems can take many forms including microfilm, on demand printers, facsimile machines, copiers, multifunction printers, document scanners, computer output microfilm (COM) and archive writers. Document imaging is a form of enterprise content management, built around the need to manage and secure the escalating volume of electronic documents (spreadsheets, word-processing documents, PDFs, e-mails) created in organizations.

Hi

Is there a way to quickly highlight a few diagrams in visio and then paste them in gimp without data loss? I usually have to do a print screen then paste into gimp but that adds blurriness when making the image smaller.

What's the best way i can go from visio diagram to gimp without data loss , specially if i will be referencing the image in a document in a smaller size format ?

Hi,
when editing the PDF file, how to remove the existing text inside?

BTW, is there any other way to convert PDF to Word, and vice versa, other than subscribing to Acrobat?

I downloaded the installation file TWICE and every time I try to install the package I get the same message:

Here's the file name:
HP Deskjet and Officejet Full Feature Software and Drivers - AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_141

I have windows 7 professional 64 bit and this is the 64 bit package I'm installing.

Dear Expert,

Thanks for sharing this excellent information.  I noticed that when I create text file using the xPDF for a tabular report and if the report is of multiple page then column position of is inconsistent in each page of text output. For example if a column starting at position 10 on the first page, it is at column 11 or 12 or 9 in subsequent position. How do we achieve the text output in all pages in sync? Please advise.

I have a few dozen JPG files and need to line them up so they can be viewed (on Windows) side by side.

As a PDF they would be stacked up.

Is there a way?

I will need to use my Mac to create this, but here I just use Preview and it's great. Is there something similar on Windows?

Preview (for Mac) is nicer than side-by-side, actually, and it would be great to find this on Windows.

Thanks

Windows 8.1 Pro user and I have 200 .max files (created with PaperPort Pro 12) scattered across tons of subfolders. I need to batch convert them all to PDF so the output has exactly the same file name and is saved to the exact same subfolder as the original .max file. It's a one time need so I would like to keep the cost down.

Hi,
I get PDF files from a web service where people have designed their artwork.
The PDF generator doesn't seem to be too intelligent, and it's leaving whole images stuck to the sides of pages where just a few lines of pixels of the image are needed.
Additionally, sometimes, it duplicates images, or leave old unused images in layers behind the real one.
Examples: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2dxim0zs5rb15ch/AADi_N5naRUAiIs9l5prNLJ9a?dl=0  (files will take a while :( to upload)
Is there a tool I can use to automatically process these PDFs deleting everything that isn't visible (hidden under other images or off the page)
And leave the bare bones optimised PDF for me to download?
What's the "Document Overhead" in the space usage audit?
I deleted all the unused images in acrobat Pro, but it didn't make a difference.
I optimised using aggressive settings - and then the size shot down from 1.6GB to
Ultimately, I'd love to have a automated way to process these files on an on-line server and download only the 73MB version rather than the 1.6GB version.
Thanks
Steve

Hey all,

Wondering if it is possible to have a jQuery slideshow of some kind that has a dynamic source of images.  So if images were stored in MySQL it would check at the end of each slide show time to see if any more images have been added and then update the images it would show.  And perhaps if it has no new ones, it would just cycle through the current images it has.

Cheers

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit in an office environment. Client prints several document per day to the printer called "Adobe PDF converter" from her devices and printers. The initial problem was her default printer would revert to the Adobe PDF converter every time she rebooted. I got that problem resolved but now when she prints to the Adobe PDF converter it takes hours to print one document and trying to delete the print job also takes hours. These are small one-page documents. Also, She can print to a pdf  and it seems to work (eventually) BUT she can’t delete it, override it or  change it. It says the document is in use by another application or process. She don’t have the file open, it is on her local hard drive and is not shared so I’m not sure what is happening.
Please advise on what I need to do to get these documents to print to the Adobe PDF converter faster and to allow editing without giving me the error message about the document being in use.

Thank you!

Robert

I have some documents that are bigger (about 8 1/2 x 14) than a standard piece of paper.  I want to scan them and then shrink them to an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper to print them on one page.

How can I do this?

Hi there,

Every week, I have an Adobe PDF files containing a lot of pages, where I must delete pages containing the same strings.

So imagine this.  Any page containing the whole phrase "Delete Me" would have to be deleted from the PDF file.

My best solution, would be to have a simple solution where I can somehow set parameters to delete all pages containing "Delete me" (Yep; case sensitive, but if not, it's not so dramatic!).

Thanks for your help,
Rene

I'm looking for a website or preferably free application that is capable of converting a multi-page PDF into a single image (png or jpeg).

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Experts, can anyone please help me with the following:

We have a small database that generates staff work cards, currently when the job is complete staff members fill the details on hard copy I then type their details into the database  and scan the hard copy which is linked to the database record. If I add a barcode to the work card is it possible to scan the document in and write some code that determines which document has been scanned by looking at the barcode on the document? I am trying to automate this as much as possible. If anyone has examples of how to do this that would be amazing.

I am using Access 2003

We have developed an emr application in which doctor can access scanned PDF Files through web browser control.  Doctor has to scroll up and down to view the scanned images. Is it possible to give a view like book where doctor can flip over the scanned images just like we flip over pages in a book.  Scannced images are in PDF format. For each visit date set of scanned images are stored in the server.
(case sheet, procedure reprots, lab reports etc)

I request an expert advise on this at the earliest

I am considering using that sketching technology to give a uniform look to a few dozen pictures of "things". So, instead of having very picture look totally different, I'd like to fee each into a program and have it generate sketches for each.

I just want the final image, not the sketching process.

Who has this?

Thanks.
