Hi experts,

I was wondering, is there a way to combine users and content in one search box? currently Drupal divides search between users and content, I would like to have like an all option to be able to search users and content in one search box.

I was using search combine module and it does not work… I mean, if I type Joseph in the search box it does not find anything.

thanks in advance,

How can we get MySQL query results (set of integers) into a numeric array as a comma sepatated list?

I mean, we need to use the query results inside multiGCD(array(???????)) and make it work as "multiGCD(array(40,100,20,100,20,40,1000,500,99,100));" in order to produce GCD of the integers.

<?php
$process = arg(1);
$scale_qtys = db_query("SELECT field FROM scale1 WHERE bundle = 'costs' AND deleted = '0' AND process_nid = {$process}");

function getGCDBetween($a, $b)
{
    while ($b != 0)
    {
        $m = $a % $b;
        $a = $b;
        $b = $m;
    }
    return $a;
}

function multiGCD($nums)
{
    $gcd = getGCDBetween($nums[0], $nums[1]);
    for ($i = 2; $i < count($nums); $i++) { $gcd = getGCDBetween($gcd, $nums[$i]); }
    return $gcd;
}

print multiGCD(array(???????));
?>

Open in new window

Further details;

*"db_query" is a just query format for Drupal and query is working.
*We can get an output as 40,100,20,100,20,40,1000,500,99,100, if we use foreach;

foreach($scale_qtys as $value) {
$scale_qty_value= $value->field;
print $scale_qty_value.",";
}

Open in new window

*multiGCD function is also working if we paste the list (40,100,20,100,20,40,1000,500,99,100) by hand.
*multiGCD is not working if we use SELECT GROUP_CONCAT(field) inside our MySQL query, even the form of query results seems correct.

In Solr, I have a date function to boost more recent records and multiply by a few custom variables.  This works fine:
{!boost b=product(.5,sum(div(max(sub(4,div(ms(NOW,releaseDate),31557600000)),0),4),.6),RatingFactor,PriorityFactor)} apples

I now want to boost a field in conjunction with my query, but the field boost (qf=title^3) does not seem to do anything with my query above.  When I remove the formula from my query and just search q=apples, then the (qf=title^3) boost DOES work.  Does anyone know why these aren't working in conjunction?  Thanks -

I'm trying to link a slide to an external URL and I've added a custom field (URL) to the slider content type successfully but I have no idea how that translates in to an anchor tag wrapping the slide (which at the moment it doesn't).  So how can I make a slide link to an external url in drupal 6?

Hi experts,

I am trying to redirect users to their profile pages using login destination, but it seems it does not work when the login is displayed by using modal forms module.

So far, after users logs in, he is redirected to the homepage not to his profile page. Could you please explain me how to do it? Thanks,

I followed the instructions on http://drupal.org/node/195435, created my maintenance-page.tpl.php  and  maintenance-page--offline.tpl.php and put it inside the templates folder of my custom theme.

1) Putting the site in maintenance mode works, so maintenance-page.tpl.php works.

2) But disconnecting my database to test maintenance-page--offline.tpl.php didn't work.

Here's the error I get.

I have a podcast that appears on iTunes up until recently. The feed for the podcast is http://iainabernethy.co.uk/itunes/feed - the itunes link is https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/itunes/id393104872?mt=2

Recently I upgraded the site to Drupal 7. I can see the feed (I think) has the required information for itunes but itunes is not listing the episodes.

I tried resubmitting the feed but it says the feed is already there.

Any help resolving this would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
I need some advice in creating in creating payment based account registration in drupal 7.

I have thought about using Drupal Commerce to achieve this feature, however its a massive overkill to use it just for a registration page which goes to a payment gateway(paypal), then create an user account upon successful payment.
If Drupal commerce is the way to do this, what is best practise to create a registration system like this?

I have tried to do this with Form API, but became stuck when dealing with payment gateways.

Using D7 with the latest version of webform. We have created several surveys and all is working fine, but a question came up in a meeting, is there an easier/automated way of sending emails to the specific users that need to complete the survey. What we do now, is create the survey, save, then go into our email client and send out a note that a survey is ready for you to complete at whatever url.

We would like to click a button "send survey url to:" and then add the email address of the user who needs to be alerted of the availability of the survey. They would jsut click the link and be taken to the the survey.

Hi experts,

I am using webform module to build a contact form on my drupal site. One of the fields I added to the form was Address field which is webform built in component.  If you see the attached screenshot, the Address fields comes with the following fields: Country, Address 1, Address 2, City, State and Zip code.

I would like to be able to remove Address 2 using a custom module and hook_alter_form function, the problem is that I have no idea how.

Could you please help me on this?

Thanks,

Winter

I have a Drupal site, which has not moved servers, but has changed domain names.  I cannot login, using either a login block or example.com/user.  I changed the cookie domain in settings.php (base url was never set, btw), cleared the cache and session tables, my browser cookies, and still...nothing.

However, I can still login at the old domain.

If it helps, the old domain was something like example.dreamhosters.com.  The new domain is something like example.org.  Nothing ever moved on the server end.  The only change that was made was that I redirected the new domain to point to the example.dreamhosters.com directory.  Any clues?

Hello
I am trying to customize comment.tpl.php (not the core template of course)

I would like the date to render as "time ago" I've seen this as an option in views, but I have no clue how to get the same thing in a template.

here is what I have
<div class="<?php print $classes; ?> clearfix"<?php print $attributes; ?>>
  <?php print $picture ?>
  <div class="content"<?php print $content_attributes; ?>>
    <?php
      // We hide the comments and links now so that we can render them later.
      hide($content['links']);
     print ($id);
	 print ".&nbsp;&nbsp;";
	 print ($author);
	 print "&nbsp;";
      print strip_tags (render($content));
    ?>
    <br>
    <?php print ($created); ?>
  </div>

</div>

Hi

I'm looking for module that will enable me to
- upload video files
- embed self hosted video files
- preferably not rename my video files into "trim.520A17E9-8196-4CC1-B6BE-E0E6EBCDB29B.MOV"
- video files will primary be video clips from iOS

I've searched and searched for a module that will allow me just that - especially the part where I get to see a thumbnail of the video file that I have just uploaded.

It just seems totally impossible :(

Any advice?

I have a site that was sent as a zip file, it's a drupal 6 site and I'm staging it on a new server and when it's working properly we'll update the name servers to point to the new server.

At the moment pages are rendering, I got clean urls working using Rewritebase ~/newsite

(the staging site is on 123.123.123.123/~newsite)

The problem is relative path references are broken. For example:

The logo image has the src attribute as src="/sites/all/themes/newsite/images/main_logo.png" and it comes up as a broken link.  If I prefix it with 123.123.123.123/~newsite/sites/all/themes/cresco/images/main_logo.png it works fine.

What can I add or remove from the .htaccess file to handle relative paths elegantly enough that the relative paths resolve now and will continue to resolve well after the name servers are updated and the site is live on the full domain name?

Attached is the existing .htaccess file

I have created content using html in a new page in a Drupal 7 site, with existing styles applied from the same style sheet that is used to style other similar pages. The css selectors are the same but no style is being applied when the new page is saved. If I copy the similar html from an existing page created in the same way and paste its content into the new page as a test, it is also not formatted in the new page using the style.css file.

The new pages are visible in the menu and can be displayed, but not with styling. Can you advise?

hello I am starting to put together a plans for hosting a Drupal site large enough to handle 30,000 + users actively connected to the site/forum.

I am basically planning on using D7 and integrating vbulletin or using the advance forums. But I really want the forums to emphasize the site. Perhaps I am inexperienced with drupal, but having been around plenty of automotive forums, I see vBulletin used quite often. I have checked out a few drupal sites using advance forums and IMO they are pretty nice. I wonder what more vBulletin has to offer. I haven't gotten there yet.

Anyhow, I am wondering if 30,000 users can be connected via a couple of comcast broadband connections? What would I need as a router? I have 4 cisco 2600 laying around and 2 3650 managed switches...also a PIX firewall that would be ok..in short i have a decent amount of hardware..

But I am having problems gathering how all of this is going to come together. I see how I can build a rack in my house. And then eventually lease a rack in my local datacenter for DR and BC  purposes.

I guess what I am asking is, what kind of horsepower do I need?

I plan to use a content delivery network, such as MAXCDN to ease the page loads.

I need some help putting this big puzzle together. Please share you input. Thanks!

i had to make a change to one of the files in commerce_discount.  I added a join to the query so I could see another field in the product display.  I realized/remembered that should i need to update the commerce discount module, I will lose the changes I made.  I figure  I need to create/recreate the file with my changes, but how do I do this and call the new file and where do I store it so it will not be overwritten?

So for example, if I have made a change to coupon_discount.module, how do I recreate it?

Hi,

We have been trying to remove a "Log In" link from the lower right corner of our Drupal 6.x site. We have looked at the user settings and set the log in block to none. We have also downloaded the page.tpl and edited out the "Log In" and reloaded the edited version still no success.

The Log In link only shows on the home page: www.casbenefitplans.com

Question: how the heck do we get rid of the "Log In" link in the right corner of the footer?

Thanks.
