I'm putting together a property website. As part of this website property developers can register to the website so they can post properties.

I currently have a register form setup ok where users sign up and send their info to a MySQL database. They then receive a confirmation email link etc...What I now need to do is add a payment facility so you register, pay £500 then get this link once payment is complete.

Any ideas of the best way to implement this? Can this be done with paypal? The payments can be made at any stage by the way either while they register or in their admin once they have registered.

Hi Experts,

I have a Magento website ive installed a payment gateway module to.

Now it all works great but i cannot find the response page where the payment gateway will send the user to a "Success full payment" Unsuccessful payment.

The payment module is: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/vcs.html

But when we specify the Response URL like instructed on the page:

http://URL/vcs/processing/response/

It gives a page not found.

Anyone know anything about the response pages in Magento ?

I want to start supplying digital content over the web - some would be paid for and some would be free. I am comfortable with basic website design but I know little or nothing about ecommerce or how to actually offer secured downloads etc.

Can anyone walk me through a basic how-to and supply some advice on how to go ahead with my project?

I have several variants of ProximaNova installed on the server. I'm having this font problem in several areas of the cart, but I'll focus on the navigation bar.

This is the future home page, outside the cart. http://www.44steaks.com/index.shtml
The navigation font is set to ProximaNova-Bold, with the hover set to ProximaNova-Extrabld, and this is working, even in Firefox and IE8 on Windows.

This is the main page of the future cart: http://www.44steaks.com/angussteaks/
The navigation font is set to ProximaNova-Bold, the hover is set to ProximaNova-Extrabld. I am using the same web font style sheet, copied inside the cart, under the theme CSS so it is loaded automatically. The font file is under the CSS folder. The hover state works. The tab with the name of the cut of steak works, with the same ProximaNova-Bold. But in Firefox on both Mac and Windows, the navigation font shows up as something that looks like Times. There isn't a serif font declared in the entire set of stylesheets. The cart nav does at least show up as sans serif in IE8.

I ran the style sheet through the W3C validator, and it had some errors on -moz declarations, but nothing about fonts. The fonts are legal for the server. I have looked through every stylesheet that gets loaded by the cart, I don't see anything that could be overriding the navigation font.

I will be grateful for any help.

Thanks,
Lissa

How do I setup magento to accept paypal as a payment method?

Hi

Does anybody know how to integrate Paypal Advanced Payments / Paypal Payflow link in C# and asp.net . We have already taken the account and read their documentation . It says to post to below url with username and password created in paypal manager which we are passing correctly but not displayed here because of security reasons. But it always give error in browser : Invalid merchant id and merchant id does not exist whereas it exists and shows in paypal manager as well. Their technical support is taking too long to resolve this issue. then they told us to post to another url which is same as below but instead of payflowlink , it will be payflowpro and then we will get the securetoken from paypal and then post it to payflowlink. we tried that as well but in that case , nothing is returned from paypal website and it always say : Connection has been closed in the browser.

https://payflowlink.paypal.com/?"PARTNER=PayPal&VENDOR=technoark43&USER=managerusername &PWD=managerpassword&TRXTYPE=A&AMT=40.00&CREATESECURETOKEN=Y&SECURETOKENID=1252875de1413adsdd60c86cdsdb15"

If anybody have integrated this method of paypal , then it will be of help to us as we want to integrate this asap.

Thanks

How do I enable a 10% discount on Magento shopping cart for all first time customers?

How do I show a pop up on the site announcing the 10% discount?

I am working with a friend who would like to setup a website that would incude an online store (shopping cart) with secured checkout, etc.  I would appreciate any input on what vendor we could use to set this up.  I briefly looked at Volusion and Amazon Webstore, but since this is new to both my friend and I, any insight would be very helpful.  We would like the ability to change the site ourselves as the products we sell change.  Initially, we would only be listing about 25 items for purchase.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Does anyone know why I cannot apply an invoice template in my paypal account?
I have created a template which I would love to use, but it won't apply to any invoice sent to a purchaser?

Is this some restriction with paypal merchant services - do you have to pay for this service?

I am simply trying to add a small note to all my invoices and cannot seem to do it?

Does anyone know how?

What are differences between authorize.net gateway and allowing payapl to take credit card

Hi!

I read somewhere that you can use a referral code in lieu of your email address when adding a Paypal payment button to your website.

<input type="hidden" name="business" value="paypal@your-web-domain.com">

Any ideas where you get the referral code?
I could not find it anywhere on Paypal's website nor in our account.
Maybe they call it something else now?
Would you just substitute it for the email address?
Thank you in advance.

Are there any error free Magento versions and themes that actually fully work?

Everyone says Magento is so great but yet it requires so many little code changes just to get themes to work correctly.

I'm attempting to setup version 1.6 (latest build) and it seems that when I try to use themes most of them have some sort of problem.  Having to make changes to code kind of defeats the purpose of using a theme.

Are there any FULLY WORKING themes for Magento 1.6 out there ANYWHERE?

I have integrated Paypal to accept payments via my website. Every thing works as planned. When the purchase is initiated the customer is taken to the Paypal account to make the payment and it generates the Transaction ID.

Is there a way i can get the Transaction ID automatically stored in my database so that i can auto approve my purchaser.

The way my service works is they have you use the transaction # generated by Paypal along with their other credentials to activate the service. If i where to do this activation manually it would take a lot of our time.

Rather i want to store all the transaction # from Paypal in a database and use that to activate the service.

Any pointers or sample code is greatly appreciated.

I'm developing a type of ticket purchase system using authorize.net (SIM).  The system needs to hold onto tickets until the purchase is complete.  That way if someone else comes through, they don't complete the payment transaction quicker and grab those tickets.  (There's a limit to the number of tickets that can be sold per event.)

My logic is...

1) Someone chooses x number of tickets for an event.
2) Write information into database putting x number of tickets on hold.
3) Person completes authorize.net transaction
4) Authorize.net sends variables back to my page to move tickets from 'hold' to purchased

The problem I'm trying to work out is: if someone gets to step #3 and decides not to complete the credit card transaction how does my application know to release those tickets?

If anyone can help me with this dilemma, I'd appreciate it.

Steve

Hello Experts,

I have an existing WordPress site.  One of the pages of the site shows a list of the products that we offer (books). The idea is to add a PayPal shopping cart to the site so that users can purchase our products directly from us (I mean, without leaving the site)

I've googled some and asked some more, but I'm not convinced of what the best solution would be.  I'm not necessarily looking for a free-plugin, we would be willing to purchase something if we find that would work best. I guess the key is that whatever solution we use integrates "nicely" with what we already have.

I figured I need to ask the Experts to get the solution I need.   Thanks!
