I know someone who publishes an iPhone app which currently has an input field for the credit card number. But, this means the user must type it in, which is error prone and slow. So, I hope to reconfigure without even any coding changes to the app.

This is the kind of device I need to use...

My question is...

Can one of these be used along with the app, on an iPhone, to get that credit card number into that field, but do so without  requiring any modifications to the app?

I see that some require a merchant account, and those will not work. The app I am describing must run and communicate with the server. It can not use an existing app to transmit the information.

All I need is a way to automate the manual key entry of the credit card #. So, can any of these readers be configured to insert the credit card # into that field?

I suppose, worst case, if the card reader inserted the CC# into a note, so it could be copied and pasted, that might be better.

Thanks

I know there are many iPhone/Android insertable "credit card swipers," but those only work with PayPal, Square, or whichever brand that hardware is associated with. So, I need a generic one.

Does anyone know of one or more of these gadgets which can be plugged into a smart phone and configured to be an input device by an iPhone or Android app?

Thanks

Hi Experts

Can anyone recommend an effective WP Plugin that can handle Subscription payments via Stripe and PayPal?
Most Shopping Carts Iv'e seen are too big for my needs.  I have a few products but monthly / annual service subscriptions is my primary focus.  It will need to be simple for the client to use.

Many thanks in advance

I am working with a small group of sales people and we'd like to divide commissions in thirds for each of us. But I see this would mean we'd need some corporate entity to manage this. But that is not the reason for my question on EE.

What systems exist for dividing commissions? I see this as a potentially complex process to manage.

Are there systems that can be licensed or used online to manage this for me?

I use a Mac, so any non-web app would require Mac support.

Thanks

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

With bidding sites such as dealdash.com and tophatter.com advertising savings that customers achieve through their sites, I have to ask this question.  Can people really save money through bidding sites?  The savings portrayed on dealdash.com really sounds too good to be true especially when someone is getting a huge flat screen tv for $100 or a laptop for $30.  When I see testimonies such as these, I immediately become skeptical and full of disbelief.

What does everyone else think about bidding sites?  If someone has indeed experienced success or perhaps disappointment through them, please feel free to share.  I would be interested in any review about bidding sites rather it be positive or negative.

              Thank you

I have a legacy script for a client that I'm trying to get their original authorize.net coding to work with the new acceptJS coding format.

The following code makes a call out to a credit card processing service (authorize.net).  When it returns with validated info, it pops up a dialog box that the person then responds to in order to finalize the processing.

When it makes the call to authorize.net, a token is returned. But because JavaScript is running in asyncronos mode, if the person is on a slow internet connection, the box pops up before a reply has been received from authorize.net.

What I need to have this do is to postpone the processing of the popup dialog until I get a valid answer of either "Error" or "Ok" from authnet. Anything else should wait for that reply.

In the script below, the call to auth.net is made on line 23:  var resp = sendPay2Auth(apiLoginID, clientID, extr);

On the next line it then looks for the value of resp.respcd.  If it says, "Error" it returns false and thus the dialog box does not pop up.

If it returns "Ok" it pops up the dialog box for them to continue.

But the problem is if the call to authorize.net has sent back a response yet, it gives a value of "undefined" in which case it then just does nothing at this point. Which leaves the customer hanging.

So what I'm looking for is how to code this so that the script will just "wait" until it gets back either an "Ok" or and "Error" in the field designated as …

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

I realize that various credit cards have a 1% to 5% cash back rewards setup for specific purchases which total up to X amount of dollars.  I would like to take this to the next level and bring this concept outside of the box a little bit by asking this question.  Is it possible to get to award points which can be converted to gift cards or PayPal deposits by Amazon and Ebay for purchases made with a debit or PayPal account?  Perhaps there are third-party companies which act like a middle man between the customer and big companies that provide this benefit.  With the holidays forthcoming,  I think this would be an excellent way of lifting some of the financial burden commonly experienced each year.  What does everyone else think?  Is it possible?  If so, where can I go online to check this option out?

             Thank you

Am I doing anything wrong to cause this, and how do I recover and is there a faster way.  Thank u for your advise. Regards

Hi

I'm using opencart 2.1.0.2.  I'm not a developer and don't really know what will be causing my opencart problem.

I've just moved my opencart site to a new web host site.

The information pages, ie Terms and Conditions for example, are not displaying properly. They were fine on the previous site. The other information pages are also affected the same way

I've attached a file that shows the problem. (I've only shown the left hand side so as to avoid putting my company name up for all to see).

As you will see, the text that is entered in the description runs down behind the other option boxes.

Anyone know what is causing this and what I need to do to fix it?

thanks.

Anyone aware of any connection or sync products that will connect to/communicate with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics and eCommerice and shopping cart websites like woo-commerce, Abante cart, Presta Shop, open cart, magenta, etc. Is there some kind of standard protocol in place that I should be looking for in evaluating any potential solutions? The idea is to be able to either download any orders from a website to Great Plains or to have Great Plains via a connector/sync app to connect to the website and downlaod orders and requests for information.  Thank you.

A client of mine currently has her website hosted with Yahoo Merchant Solutions (now know as Aabaco Small Business or Luminate). They have been with them for about 20 years but we keep running into issues with the site and are now faced with upgrading to Store Editor 3.0 (a lot of customization will be lost) or starting a new site with them and have to redo the site completely. However both options still means we are tied to yahoo and their proprietary website that cannot be easily transferred so I want to ask which eCommerce or shopping cart solution you would recommend for a plant/flower business with about 75 products and each product sold in 3 to 5 quantities. I would prefer something simple so we can it ourselves but also one that is easy to maintain and keep the required security up to date. Thank you.

Hi,

Need suggestions regarding building a new B2C e-commerce website. We are into to trading business and our main items of sale are books.

Currently our company's official website is hosted as per following specifications :

1) Developed using ASP.NET 2.0 with VB.NET as code behind.

2) Hosted using IIS 7.

3) Back-end : SQL Server 2008

4) OS: Windows Server Datacenter OS

We need to completely revamp our existing website. While we would like to incorporate completely new approach and features, we would also like to keep some of the old features as legacy functions.

Looking at the future perspective (10-15 Years), I need a suggestion as to what development technology platform (ASP.NET or otherwise) and the server side and client programming languages(PHP, C# etc.) should we adopt to develop this new website which should be able to adapt in following terms :

1) Scalability

2) Ease of inclusion or incorporation of new technical concepts and features.

3) Easy maintenance

4) Fast development

Though we would like to retain SQL Server (current or any upper version) as our backend, suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I have read on the http://ficoscore.com/education/ website that "Between all three bureaus, there are 19 FICO® Scores that are most commonly used by lenders. The score version that matters most to you depends on the type of loan you’re interested in and where your lender pulls your scores. You can use the chart below as a guideline."

Are there any websites I can visit that will provide me with all of my current 19 FICO® Scores?

The websites I currently visit like Bofa.com, discover.com, and the credit bureau websites provide only one version of the Fico credit scores and I'm interested in seeing what my current 19 FICO® credit scores are.

What websites or services will allow me to do this?

I am new to social media and was just invited onto a platform called "Alignable." I joined but need to fill out my profile.

Please explain what it is and how large they are?

I like that I am in touch with the organizer, which I think could be helpful as I work towards a press launch of my book.

Please help put it into perspective for me. Is it a good network? Who do they compete with?

Thanks

I hear the term "Byzantium Fork" today in this article.

http://ethereumworldnews.com/byzantium-fork-will-hoist-ethereum-price-400-future-prediction-bullish-trend/

What's it mean?

Is that the source code "fork" which was made for Ethereum?

Why's it called that? Is Ethereum more able to fulfill the "Byzantine Fault Tolerance" methodology?

Thanks.

I see the site went up in 2015 and they claim to be very fast.

What do you know about them? It talks about the Proof of Stake algorithm and says it's fast.

Curious.

this graph shows a reduction in the Ethereum Energy Consumption Index in the pst few days.

was this coupled with a drop in volume? Any idea why their numbers improved?

Thanks.

I like the functionality of Boomerang and would consider it on my next product launch. Does it require GMail?

Is Mail Gun an alternative? I used that once before and it did not require GMail.
