I have a Java project imported in Eclipse [Version: Mars Release (4.5.0)] . This Java project has some servlets defined.

I also have Tomcat installed on the same machine. How can deploy these servlets directly from eclipse to the Tomcat container?

I have received a J2EE project which has some servlets defined. I have imported this project in Eclipse [Version: Mars Release (4.5.0)] as a Java project.

This project has a pom.xml defined which contains a list of dependencies. How can pull the dependencies defined in pom.xml. When I open pom.xml it opens as a raw xml.

Do I need to import this project as a Maven project?

Suppose I create a new page in my WordPress system and design it with Visual Composer and Ultimate AddOns, adding lots Visual Composer and Ultimate AddOns elements, using all the styling available from Visual Composer and Ultimate AddOns for their elements.  Now I want to copy that page to another WordPress install.  What do I copy?  What is it that encapsulates all those elements and styling?

Thanks

I am using Eclipse MARs on a 64-bit Windows PC. It has been working fine for quite some time and just yesterday it bombed when I tried to open it with the exit code = 13 error (see image below for full error). I think a new 32-bit version of java was installed by another app that I needed for another purpose and now the ini file is pointing at the wrong version of java...maybe? I've been googling trying to fix this and haven't had any luck yet.

Any experts out there know how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

I successfully run the demo project with SolarQube + SonarLint( eclipse ). Then I add to this project java classes to analyze and try to re-run but Solar keeps to throw the error - "Unable to create root temp directory. " The LocalHost is up. Once again, the first demo run was successful. For more information, please, take a look on print-screen.

Error from Eclipse ( I also install sonarLint plug-in ) : https://gyazo.com/3002ef55d3e306fc7a73683156c69d66

Error from CMD ( I'm using Windows 10 ) : https://gyazo.com/e56480776778d649d4ad029392d1e35d

Hi,
I downloaded a hunk of Javascript code. When I display it in NOTEPAD++, it can display in two ways.

NOTE: Apologies for the very small font in the screenshots. Please click on a screenshot to display it in a bigger format. :)

1. With a red minus sign at the left, with line numbers 1 and 3 visible.
JS file displayed with Minus Sign
2. If I click the red minus sign, it changes to a red plus sign, and I now see lines 1, 2 and 3.
JS file displayed with Plus sign
I've attached the file (filename scrubbed).

Also (this issue may or may not be related): The JS program code displays with no line breaks. (That's how it came down from the site.) Can this issue be remedied? (If you experts feel this issue should be a separate question, please let me know and I'll be happy to comply.)

Thanks,
Steve

I am taking a Udemy course and I recently upgraded my Studio version from 1.4 to 2.2.  Now I have run into a problem as the course obviously is using an older version of Studio.  And as I am only less than halfway through, I imagine future tutorials might use similar code, so I would like to figure out the new way of doing it.  Googling the issue brings up results referring to Context.getDrawable(int) or ContextCompat.getDrawable(Context, int) or Resources.getDrawable(int, Theme).  I am not quite sure how to use them.  Below is the DetailsActivity.java code.  At the bottom you will see getDrawable with a line through it and a hint that it is deprecated.  Well after the copy and paste, the lines through the word did not get copied.  So I will underline them.

package uiviewsxml.magadistudio.com.showmethebio;

import android.app.Activity;
import android.content.res.Resources;
import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.widget.ImageView;
import android.widget.TextView;
import android.widget.Toast;

public class DetailsActivity extends Activity {

    private ImageView profileImage;
    private TextView bioText;
    private TextView name;
    private Bundle extras;

    @Override
    protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
        super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
        setContentView(R.layout.details_activity);

        profileImage = (ImageView) findViewById(R.id.detailsImage);

Hello,

This is a frustrating error which started about half a year ago.
I use Delphi 2010 and Delphi Seattle and this error occurs at both. I use Windows 7.

-When I want to run the project whit F9 I get the message: "could not find program, '\\mydrive\myexe.exe'"
-Then I hit F9 again, the same message
-After about 5th try (if I am lucky) it suddenly works Ok, but at next run it starts again.

So just running a project sometimes takes me more than 10 minutes no matter if I use Delphi 2010 or Delphi Seattle.

How can I eliminate this?

Thank you very much.

I have a project that I've been working on for some time. The debug mode has been running VERY slow so I thought that I'd clean up the folders. The project has bin/debug and bin/release .

CTL F5 runs the project immediately while F5 takes 'at least' 2 minutes to start and 2 minutes further to stop.

Question: Can I delete these folders (or should I delete them)??

Thank you

Experts, Can you please suggest free/paid software design tools which draws the class structure (something like a class/block diagram) of an existing Visual Studio solution? Any suggestions other than in-built visual studio features would be helpful.

Regards.

Hi,

I have three projects in my Eclipse work space and I want to create executable jars for each of them.

However, when I select the top project (ReadZipBlb) the Jar that is created is actually the .jar for the project at the bottom of list list of projects.

How do I force Eclipse to build the one I want when I have multiple projects in my work space?Obfuscated snapshot of my Eclipse work space

Old development environment;

Windows 7
Visual Studio 2010
I.E (default browser)

New development environment;

Windows 10
Visual Studio 2010
Edge (default browser)

Under old env. whenever I ran a web-app debugging session, the app. would open I.E. When I closed the I.E. browser, the Visual Studio debugging session would also end automatically.

Under new env. when I close the Edge browser, the Visual Studio debugging session stays active. I have to select Debug/Stop Debugging from the menu to stop the debugging session.

I've looked everywhere but can't find a setting to have closing the browser also close the Visual Studio debugging session.

Thanks for your help.
