An email client, email reader or more formally mail user agent (MUA) is a computer program in the category of groupware environments used to access and manage a user's email. A web application that provides message management, composition, and reception functions may internally act as an email client; as a whole, it is commonly referred to as webmail. Likewise, email client may be referred to a piece of computer hardware or software whose primary or most visible role is to work as an email client. Email clients can also have other systems, like calendars, notes and contact managers.

I use gmail.

An organization I belong to has Weekly & Monthly newsletters. I signed up over a year ago to receive them, I never do.

On my desktop, there is a folder called "All Mail" and "Spam". These newsletters are not in those, I know for sure because one was sent yesterday, July 26, I looked at EVERY item in All Mail & Spam for July 26; not there.

On my ipad, it has a Social folder & a Promotions folder; newsletter is in neither, those seem to be a further breakout of "All Mail" on my desktop.

The email come from Mail Chimp? Is it possible I have set some setting that blocks Mail Chimp?

Any other ideas?

Thanks

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Is it a setting in gmail and or iPhone ?

It just started on my iPhone

Havnt checked the www interface

Hi Experts,

In Outlook, is there a way to create a custom group  summary?

For example, currently the default summary reads:   Categories: My Category (21 items)

Can I add to that with SUM(hours), where hours is number column to read: Categories: My Category (21 items, 30hours)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Countless times I have deleted junk and other unwanted or no-longer-wanted emails. I have then gone on to "purge" them under the "recover" option. All then appear to be purged, since the folder is reported as "empty".

However going back later and checking whether this has really been done, reveals that all - (including so-called previously deleted) emails have appeared again in the Deleted folder.

Any informed explanations for this anyone ?

Thanks, krakatoa.

What is the process to permanently delete a Gmail label (Inbox subfolder)?

I have googled this and when I hover my mouse over the Gmail label (subfolder) I want to delete I don't have any options to delete or remove it.

I have also looked within the Labels section within Gmail and the only option I see there is to hide the label. I need to permanently delete this label. How can this be done?

Hi All,

Attached are two pictures showing the storage quotas that we use in Exchange 2010 so that users get a maximum mailbox size of exactly 2GB and 3GB reported in their Outlook client. Could someone tell me what I need to enter so that the user gets the following:

Issue warning at 3.75gb
prohibit send at 3.9gb
prohibit send / receive at 4.0gb

Also, does anyone know why the "Prohibit send and receive" limit shown in my screenshots aren't exactly 2GB or 3GB yet the Outlook client shows them as Exactly 2GB or 3GB to users? (screenshot attached).

We've tried setting exactly 2GB (2000mb or 2048mb) but this then shows users they have a maximum size of 1.7GB?

Thanks!

What do you consider the best Internet email option (POP3 or IMAP) for individual use? Why - what makes it good and what are its limitations?

Background:

We have been using mostly Verizon.net email. Recently Verizon transferred their email to AOL although we kept the same verizon.net email addresses. Service has deteriorated, especially for accessing email through a smartphone and the AT&T cellular network. Access through Outlook has not deteriorated as much although day-long outages have occurred.

We have personal Gmail and could switch to those although the lack of privacy from Google's practice of scanning content is annoying. We're willing to pay for a good email service. One possibility is Google's G-Suite although we would only use it for email and not use the other functions.

What do you think are the best email providers, including paid options? What are their strengths and limitations?

Thanks,
Pete

I have a user that is needing Outlook to be viewed with large fonts or zoomed for all emails. I have looked at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Change-the-font-or-font-size-in-the-message-list-57BD24A6-1F85-45AC-A657-FBA877D3FE00?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US but needing to have a permanent "zoom" so all messages are zoomed. Anyone have a resolution for this? I did see that a macro could be created but don't know if this applies to Outlook 2016

Hello,

I've been asked to add "share buttons" to the HTML Email design I've created.  They want an email button, facebook button, linkedin button, and twitter button.  What is the most reliable way to code this?  I suggested using addthis.com - but the internal team does not want to use this service as a go between.  I've never done this before, so I'm not sure how to achieve this functionality.

Thanks!

Please provide me with the best method to audit the Google Drive permissions for a particular user so I can make sure that the files within that user's Google Drive aren't shared with anyone else.

We have migrated the Exchagne 2010 to Exchange 2016, now the outlook clients are getting below messages. If we create a new profile in control panel they will be fine but its not only one user, there are many and we are getting these errors everyday from different users...

Cannot Start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the outlook window. The set of Folders cannot be opened. The attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange has failed.

Window Live Mail running on Windows 10 seems to have lost a lot of emails.

Specifically, most emails after 2014 have disappeared. Vanished.

Emails from 2011 to 2014 are all present and correct. But after 2014 vast swathes of email have just disappeared.

Size of stored folder is a paltry 1.5GB.

Here is what has been tried:

All View menus have been set to display all folders and all emails.
Using Control Panel > change program > I repaired Windows Live Mail and restarted but emails are still missing

Anyone know what might have caused this and is there a solution?

I need to configure a server with Sage50 and the ability to send out emails via smtp, so I don't need a smtp email client install. Does anyone here know an email client that I can configure for Sage50 to call upon as a default email client? Preferably something that I can setup the smtp server and still keep the emails under the IMAP account only so the user can always go to their sent items and see what has been sent. I've tried outlook and outlook has a series of issues with Sage50, so I'm open to a freeware simple client.

Thank you.

hi experts, would this be an issue from the sender or the receiver blocking the senders email address?

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es)

Dear Team, I just want to confirm these concepts. We are deploying a new Exchange server and in the migration phase. As our understanding, there are 2 options at the moment:

OPT #1. Collect all PST files from users, create new email accounts in a New Exchange server and everyone will have to open their OLD PST file to access the old emails.

OPT #2: Collect all PST files from users, create new email accounts in a New Exchange server and IMPORT their OLD PST files to the Exchange EDB, then everyone can use their accounts to access OLD emails normally.

Am I right to think that:?

1. Open PST files via MS Outlook is just open the file and nothing happens to Exchange EDB database ?

2. Import PST files via Exchange Management Console will import email data from PST file to Exchange EDB database , then increasing its size (by the size of PST files) ?

If we have about 2000 users, which option will be better?

I've been asked if we could, for two weeks, keep several users from seeing their emails.  They could still use their outlook or smartphone app to send.  But they don't want to see any email in their inbox (Exchange 2016 and Outlook 2016)

However they want to see those emails as soon as they're back.

Is there a rule or something that could make it happened?

Thanks

We receive requests from our government clients in pdf format.  We will receive the email but the email attachments will be blocked stating the following comment: "Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: [file name]"

I've read all the comments from this link: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29033120/Outlook-2007-suddenly-blocking-PDF-attachments-and-not-allowing-to-open-without-out-first-saving-locally.html

Unfortunately I have not received any updates on June 13th, 2017 but have this exact problem.  Looking back on old emails from a year ago I also noticed that these got stripped off as well. The company is working on a 2007 platform.

I had some problems with Outlook and backups which resulted in multiple copies of various .pst files.
When I opened Outlook, a previously-existing folder in My Contacts was there.
But, when I clicked on it, it went away and has not returned.
So, I imagine that the data is in there somewhere.
How to get it back?

At the same time, the backups failed - so they are of limited help.

Am I wrong if understand "Archiving emails " in MS Outlook will reduce the .PST file by reducing its size?

If so, what is the real mechanism behind it actually?

Please help, wiZards. Many thanks in advance.
