An email client, email reader or more formally mail user agent (MUA) is a computer program in the category of groupware environments used to access and manage a user's email. A web application that provides message management, composition, and reception functions may internally act as an email client; as a whole, it is commonly referred to as webmail. Likewise, email client may be referred to a piece of computer hardware or software whose primary or most visible role is to work as an email client. Email clients can also have other systems, like calendars, notes and contact managers.

Is it possible to host users within the same email domain within Office 365 and to host a few remaining users within a Gmail corporate account?

Users within both Office 365 and Gmail will both use the same email domain name which is company.com.

A company I am working for would like this to be done since they don't want to have to pay for an Office 365 licensing fee for all users and would like only the employees to be migrated into Office 365. They would like the contractors and consultants to be left within Gmail.

If this is possible what is involved in setting up this type of coexistence?

I have a few Office 365 / Outlook users who are experiencing a random problem when replying to various emails.  Example:
They receive an email from John Doe <jdoe@business.com>.  When they reply to the message, the name changes, but the email address is correct.  Example: The reply address would look like this: Steve Jones <jdoe@business.com>.  Steve Jones also has an @business.com address, same company, but that's not who sent the original message and has nothing to do with the reply.

This is happening with various email recipients, from different companies.  It does not appear to be isolated to a specific company or person and it doesn't happen all of the time with the same recipient.  It appears to be totally random - with the exception of the recipients always being part of the same company.

I checked the contacts in their Outlook and they are all separate contacts with information entered correctly.  What could be happening that the recipient name is changing and the email address is not when replying to email?

About a month ago I began having problems with booting up this computer. The computer was infected with a virus/Trojan. I was able to successfully remove the infection but at the cost of the operating system. Large chunks of the operating system damaged because of the cleansing.

I was able to manually retrieve all of the information off of the old drive to the new. I talked to a representative of Microsoft who helped me pull the emails from the old hard drive to the new for one of my email accounts.

The following day I noticed I didn't have any email addresses. I also discovered that a lot of the emails I thought should be there belonging to that account were not.

I am looking for a way to retrieve my contacts and a clean and safe way to retrieve all of the email belonging to this account and how to restore the other accounts along with their associated email.

Any suggestions and or comments are greatly appreciated!

How can I get Mac Outlook CompanionLink set to sync all of my Google contacts (including the "Most Contacted" & "Other contacts" within my Gmail contacts account (see the screenshot)
GOOGLE-CONTACTS-FOLDERS
Currently only the My Contacts folder syncs. I need all of my Google contacts folders to sync.

How can this be done?

I currently have the CompanionLink "Contacts" set so that "Records will be synced both directions" and Contacts folder set to "All Contacts Folders."

Here are screenshots from the current configuration:

Hi All,

over the weekend i moved a tenant's domain from managed to federated with ADFS.  imap etc was working fine before i implemented ADFS, but now it fails.  i've tried configuring on a couple of different email clients to confirm and also did an imap test on ping ability which comes up with this error

Protocol      IMAP
Error
ProtocolException: No login methods supported!

i'm about to raise another microsoft ticket, but thought i'd ask the question here - google doesn't have much to say on the matter

A client with a Mac is having problems with his Outlook calendar and contacts syncing with his Gmail calendar and contacts. His organization is using a corporate Gmail account.

Items added to his calendar or contacts within Gmail's calendar and contacts on the internet don't appear within Mac Outlook 2016.

Google G sync for Outlook isn't available for Macs.

What can be done to fix this issue?

I have a weird issue here - In Outlook 2016 (32 but) via Office 365 - when I open an email it may be a few pages long but when I go to file > print - the print preview shows dozens of pages , with lots of page breaks, and weird paragraph formatting. So an estimated 5 pages turns into 25 pages of blank pages and bad formatting. The print preview is in Memo style as normal. What can be causing such a weird issue?

Does Migration Wiz migrate all emails, calendar items, contacts, tasks, etc. from Gmail into Office 365?

Or does it only migrate emails?

I would like to enable IMAP access for all email accounts within a corporate Gmail account.

Is there any way of enabling this for all users through the Admin console or does this have to be enabled for each and every user through their individual Gmail email settings?

When I email users from one particular company domain (and only that domain) they get my email from my company domain email, but when they reply (and also if they just directly write to me)  it doesn't come to my company email, even though on their outbound email that is what shows as the 'to', instead it arrives in my personal yahoo email, even though the sender couldn't even possibly know what my personal yahoo email is.

This happens for any sender from this particular company to me, but the same doesn't happen when that company sends emails to anyone else in my company, they work fine. They also say they never had this problem with anyone else. I do not have any forwarding of any kind of redirect set up in my email system. None of my other colleagues have any issues receiving emails from this company.

Looking at the header of the message I receive it shows

Dear experts, do you know how to split a big PST file (200 GB) into smaller pieces (50 GB)? Can a batch script or something like that do the trick?

Many thanks as always.

Hi Experts,

Is there a way to prevent messages sent to Hotmail.com (or Outlook.com) addresses from ending up in the Junk Email folder that I can see at outlook.live.com, based on either of these criteria:
-      Destination domain (e.g. everything sent TO somedomain.com)
-      Content of the subject (e.g. any subject containing the word “Rosters”).

As a test, I have setup a rule to move any email containing the word “Rosters” anywhere in the subject, to the “1Temp” folder, and:
-      That works for some emails (i.e. those not considered to be spam, I guess)
-      Fails for others, which still end up in the Junk Email folder.
Attached is a screen shot of that rule.
As you can see, I’m using “Inbox and sweep rules” to achieve this, because I don’t think the “Safe Mailing Lists” or “Safe senders” features have the flexibility to whitelist by these kinds of generalised criteria.

I’ve read here that some other people are having problems with Hotmail.com/Outlook.com rules, but I’m not sure whether mine is the same issue:
  https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/284136-outlook-com/suggestions/11133255-rules-no-longer-working

Thanks.

My OS is win 10 pro 64 bit and I have office 365 and outlook owa for my emails , which is an MSN account the free version.
Whenever I see a sender of an email in the Junk folder, despite clickking on the "Not Junk" selection and it goes into the Inbox.  But after some time it still seems to land in the Junk folder.
how do I make it safe emails coming to me to my Inbox without it going to my Junk email, or is this one of the misses that sometimes always takes place.
The error says that it failed the fraud detection test or something like that.
Thank u.

I have a client that brought a possible issue to my attention that I've been scratching my head over. He is using Outlook 2016 to connect to on premises Exchange 2016. Whenever he sends an email out, it gets stored in his sent items folder as it should. At the same time it also get stored in Recover Deleted Items. Is this done by design or is it a bug?

At first I thought it was his draft emails which are auto stored and deleted when sent. I checked the settings in Outlook and it shows draft emails being auto saved after 3 minutes. Disabling auto saving made no difference.

Then I checked another environment running Exchange 2010 and observed same behavior with Outlook 2010 client but not Outlook 2007.

So, is this by design or is it a bug?
