An email client, email reader or more formally mail user agent (MUA) is a computer program in the category of groupware environments used to access and manage a user's email. A web application that provides message management, composition, and reception functions may internally act as an email client; as a whole, it is commonly referred to as webmail. Likewise, email client may be referred to a piece of computer hardware or software whose primary or most visible role is to work as an email client. Email clients can also have other systems, like calendars, notes and contact managers.

2. When I search for an email it comes up 6 times!

Help please :(

Hello,

we have a contact that moved to a new email platform (365) from another 365 platform (godaddy).  The person doing the migration exported all mail in outlook to a PST file and then imported into the new 365 account as there was no way to sync between godaddy and the new 365 platform.

the problem is that outlook was set to only cache 12 months worth of email so only the last 12 months was exported to PST.

My question - is the email that is older than 12 months actually deleted from the OST file or is it just flagged not to show?  Is there a way to access the ost file to recover anything older than the 12 months or do messages older than 12 months automatically get cleared from the local OST file?

Dear Experts,
I am new to Osticket and looking for a solution if the reply from email by customer can append the existing ticket. Suppose an admin creates a ticket and it is assigned to Ibrahim with email id ibrahimb@mycompany.com. Now when ibrahimb@mycompany.com reply to customer through osticket inferface to customer email customer@gmail.com , the customer replies back to ibrahimb@mycompany.com where ibrahim is getting email in his outlook but the response from customer is not appended to his ticket in osticket interface. I have a question if this task can done by osticket ?
Regards.

I accidentally sent 3 emails to the Gmail archive, but did not intend to do so.  I need to know how to access the archive so that I can delete the emails.  I am certain that I do not need them as I check my email daily.

Thank you,
Ryan

Our email service is migrating to a new server and our email address will change.  We have had this email address for over 25 years.  My wife uses it for genealogy where it is imbedded in hundreds of genealogy queries and sites.  Is there a way to have the old email address auto-forwarded to a new email address on a long term basis.  Our service will only forward for a couple of months.  Is there a solution out there?

Dear Experts, we are using Exchange 2016 on-premise, the problem is when users send emails to incorrect addresses, the postmaster showed the error (in details) in MS Outlook but OWA.

The emails are synchronized from OWA to MS Outlook, but there is no content in postmater's email on OWA. Could you please suggest?

How can i send an outlook folder full of emails to my vendor

We have Windows 2013 Exchange Server running on Windows 2012 Server.  it is separate server from out domain controller/AD server.
We use a few copies of Outlook  2007 on some workstations and Outlook 2010 and 2013 on others.   We have one currrent external domain pointing to our network/Exchange  say   @company1.net      we have a couple of people who want to use a different domain name we have, @company2.net    that is pointing to Go Daddy email and they want o send out mass emails to our tenants and news letters.  About 450 email addresses. Due to the security on GO Daddy and other vendors mail setups we can't send that many in one email blast and they only  allow for certain numbers of emails per minute/hour/day.      They also don't include Group mailing to be able to send 450 in one group/email.  Obviously it is for spamming issues.
Question is can we repoint the @company2.net  to our internal network and Exchange server.  If we do can we have  both domains pointing there and can we have one person receive emails in their Outlook from each domain?  I think our issue will be that we can't have the person send out mass mailings as the "@company2.net" address while maintaining all of her corporate "@company1.net" sending as ability.
Does anyone know a way around this other than having the "@company2.net" emails going to say an Office 365 Outlook setup through GO Daddy or Microsoft directly and then using the web interface for that email address and sending from there.

Hi All

I have managed to get my exchanged installed successfully. I have exchange 2003 and exchange 2010 in co-existence

I did manage to get owa to work from internally
I am unable to get active sync to work. going to localhost/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync results in multiple authentication and fails. error: http error 401.2 - unauthorized. T

What are the tests that i can perform to ensure that active sync works
Apart from this what do i do with various others to test and confirm if it works. I need all features in exchange 2010 to be working before i switch totally to exchange 2010
How do i do it?

I have an HTML signature file with a dot separator that I see gets a bit mangled.

It looks thusly:

 OH 43026 • USA

What character can I embed in the HTML template that will be a small round centered dot, that can make it through, the way a dash can?

Thanks

I have one of the latest version of iOS on an iPhone 7 and have 7 email accounts working fine under the iPhone's email app. But I can not add the 8th email account, and wonder why not?

I got to Settings > Mail but do not see the + plus sign, which I recall was how to add a new account. Am I missing something?

Am I limited to 7 accounts?

At the very top of Settings, I see two Alerts, which might be the problem?

"Update Apple ID Settings" has a red circle with a "1" inside. I try and try to resolve that, without success. I am told to log in rom another device to iCloud, which I do. But the warning remains...

I also have a warning for "Finish Setting Up Your iPhone", a second red circle with a "1" inside But I do not want to set up Apple Pay.

So, with this can you suggest my next step? I really need to get another email to appear in the Mail app for the iPhone.

Thanks.

I've used the script provided at https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27817685/What-is-causing-a-VBA-script-in-ThisOutlookSession-to-not-work-in-Outlook-2007.html (and below), and have gotten past all of the macro security issues to the point that Outlook 2016 consistently inserts the designated address in the BCC field on new e-mails.  I cannot get it to insert it automatically on replies and forwards.  No error message given, designated e-mail just not being inserted into BCCs on replies/forwards.

'At the top of thisOutlookSession

Hello fellow Experts Exchange members:

I have a user using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2016 (the Office 365 version).  The user sends-and-receives a considerable amount of e-mail, and as a result we have been separating the archived mail into separate PST files for each year.

Thus, for example, the user has the following folders in Outlook:
*Username@Company.com
    (the Exchange mailbox)
*Current archive (PST file)
*Archive 2016 (PST file)
*Archive 2015 (PST file)
...
*Archive 2008 (PST file)

(Each of these PST files is upwards of 10 GB in size.)

Recently, when applying the AutoArchive settings through Options - Advanced - AutoArchive window, Outlook has sometimes applied the AutoArchive settings to *ALL OF THE PST FILES* (except the Current Archives PST file).

Each of the PST files has at least a HUNDRED subfolders under the Inbox.

The problem is that there appears to be no way to bulk-modify the PST file settings to stop Outlook from attempting to archive the contents in old PST files (e.g. Archive 2008) to the Current Archives PST file.

E.g. Outlook will archive not only the contents of the Exchange mailbox but also the old content in the Archive 2008 PST file, Archive 2009 PST file, etc. up to the Archive 2016 PST file and move it to the corresponding folder in the Current Archive PST file.

Have any other Experts Exchange members encountered a situation similar to this?

I would appreciate any advice on how to both bulk-modify Outlook PST…

The best one seems to be Google. Opera runs out of memory and has to be reloaded. Most of the time it reloads quickly. The new FF is not working well with these Microsoft mail programs with the new spinning thingy at the top. The worst one is IE.
I guess I could use incognito and have both e-mail accounts open using Google.

What other browsers could work well with Hotmail dot com?

Windows 7 and we plan to bypass Windows 10 for the next one after 10. Unless we find a good deal on a Windows 10 system from a business or an individual.

Hi,

Microsoft just discontinued the clutter feature.

The focused inbox feature is not working on the desktop client.  We are using Office365.

I read one article that said to enable multi factor authentication on the users that want this feature, and to then uninstall and reinstall  office on the client.   Finally wait a week or two for the next office patch to be included in the weekly Windows updates.

Are there any other known solutions to this issue?
