Hi All,
I have a client with Google Apps email setup in Apple Mail. When she tries to move an email or multiple emails from one folder to another, they revert back to their original folder. She says she was able to do it before.

*Gmail is setup as IMAP in Apple Mail
I have tried:
>Deleting com.apple.com in Library
>Turning Gmail Email off, rebooting, turning back on

Any suggestions?

Free Tool: Path Explorer

An intuitive utility to help find the CSS path to UI elements on a webpage. These paths are used frequently in a variety of front-end development and QA automation tasks.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community.

I have a client with Google Apps/G Suite email setup in Apple Mail as IMAP. When she tries to manually move an email from one folder to another, the email appears to revert back to its original folder.

I have tried:
>In System Resources, Internet Accounts, Gmail: Turning off/On Mail
>Deleting com.apple.mail.plist in /Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences

Any suggestions?

Ever since we switched our companies email from in-house Exchange to hosted Exchange (Office 365) all of a sudden it's like the floodgates opened and users receive phony emails masquerading as being from Microsoft or Office 365. These emails most times have a link that asks user to login. The message in the email can vary greatly but here are some examples:

Your Office 365 subscription has an unresolved change. To keep using your Office 365 without interruption, please sign in now.
Your Office 365 account will be closed today
Office365 Storage Limit Exceeded
Storage And Low Disk Space For Microsoft Office 365

It as if Hackers\Spammers have a list of all the domains and email addresses hosted by Microsoft and spam us constantly trying to trick users.

Is any way to stop this or at least slow it down?? I have all filters set to aggressive. There must be someone reads this that knows what I am talking about.

Please help!

Thanks,
Steve

Hi!

Want to use Outlook as a Project Management tool.

Here’s my idea: create a category - Medieval Woodworking Tools Show.  MWTS

As the project proceeds I’ve got emails that come in. Categorize them MTWS.  Appointments I set, categorize those.  Contact I make - the same.  Tasks, too.

Takes 3 or 4 months to set up this show.  So by now I’ve got elements of the project across every category of Outlook - mails, appointments, contacts, tasks.

I can use Advanced Search to do an Across All Categories search based on Categorization. (Thanks Bil Prew!)  But, I’d need to drill down through the search dialogue each time I wanted to do that.

Is there anyway using User Defined elements - or any other method - that I could create a freestanding search that would autopopulate based on the MWTS category?

I was thinking of something like Customize Current View, but that I could build based on a Category?  So I could just one-click that view and right away get a cross-category list of everything that currently has the MWTS categorization tag inside Outlook.

This way I wouldn’t have to run the Advanced search and set all the criteria each time (risking some left out criteria) to find everything.  I’d have an on-going collection of everything related to the project.  Something I could just quick click to get to.

This would be especially great when one …

We have a client using Office Home and Business 2013 on Windows 7 Pro with their emails on a local exchange 2010 Version: 14.01.0438.000 and one user keeps getting this message: (Screenshot attached)

His user has been setup on SBS console as firstname.secondname then the primary email address changed to 'alias@' in the exchange console

alias@ is an alias under Username

There are two other users who can send as alias@
and two users who can view alias@

We have tried creating a new Outlook profile and there aren't any users with the emails on their phones.

Any ideas to stop this from happening welcome.

How can we make it so that every time that a user types the first few characters of a user's name or email address within the address bar Outlook 2016 will automatically search the user's Outlook contacts and then suggest email address auto complete entries based upon the user's Outlook contacts.

We have several users who have lots of Outlook contacts and when they type in the first few letters of the user's names or email addresses within the address bar the users whose email addresses they are looking for don't appear in the email address auto complete suggestion lists.

The email server is Office 365.

How can this be fixed?

Or are there any utilities or software programs that will prompt Outlook 2016 to search through all existing contacts to provide relevant email address auto complete suggestions?

Please provide me with the instructions on how to Increase the number of Outlook 2016 email auto complete suggestion entries.

For some reason texts that I receive on my Sprint PCS Galaxy S8 cell phone are also being delivered to my Office 365 email account.

The only reason I can think that this is happening is because I have entered this cell phone number as the recover number for my Office 365 account. I am also an Office 365 global admin.

i also have this same Office 365 work email account setup within the built in email application on my Samsung Galaxy S8.

What is the process for me disable these cell phone texts from being delivered into my Office 365 email account?

On a Windows 10 computer using Windows mail - if there is a link in an email and I place my mouse pointer on it a box pops up with the html code for that link. Is there a way to disable this feature?

Thank you.

For a little over a week now we've been experiencing a weird phenomenon. I have an end user managing 3-4 different emails from outlook. Our main email we use is a yahoo/att domain address. Out of nowhere all of our emails are getting bounced back with either "expected only one recipient", "Unable to deliver message after multiple retries, giving up" or "Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table". Outlook would say the email sent successfully, but if you login to the web app and go to the trash you'll see a bunch of mail returned error emails that never make it to the inbox for the user to see. Doesn't seem to matter what domain we're sending to either. I went through all the returned emails and there was quite a few different email domains that we were trying to send emails to.

The first thing I checked was outlook. End user and myself both had same exact pop3 and smtp addresses, and both were using the same domain. My emails were being sent and received fine, and we both were using outlook. This made me think it wasn't completely an issue with outlook. I know every time I've personally tested it and sent myself test emails it has gone through. I'm also on the same domain, so i'm not sure if that's got something to do with it.

It's just really odd that outlook shows it sent successfully, but yahoo web app is literally just dumping the returned mail emails right to trash bypassing the inbox. Monday night I switched the users smtp settings from …

Dear Experts, can we have Internet-Style Quoting in OWA of Exchange 2016?

Just like the Gmail's style?

Hello Everyone.

This is the situation:

I will receive emails from a specific address that will always be the same
for example specific@specific.com

This emails will always have the subject box containing another email address that will always be different
for example different@different.com

The body of this emails will always have the same lines but with different informations. Those informations will be

Name
Address
Price

What I need is:

A VB script that provides me an Autoreply of the email I receive from specific@specific.com to the address contained in the subject box with a standard subject line that could be for example "thank you"

Said this, the body of the reply, needs to be a dynamic template that will autofill with the data contained in the body of the first email I receive.

EXAMPLE

EMAIL RECEIVED
Sender = specific@specific.com
Subject = dynamic@dynamic.com
Body = name - dynamic
            address - Italy
            price - 50

EMAIL AUTOFORWARDED
Recipient = dynamic@dynamic.com
Subject = thank you
Body = hello dynamic thanks for your order you will receive it in Italy after paying 50

I'm not familiar with VB
Could anyone lend a hand with the code needed to achieve this?

thank you all

bye bye :)

Hi all,

I have come to a roadblock in my automation procedure. Will outline below:

1. Created form to be available online & allow users to fill form and click submit (Upon submission e-mail will be sent & fields will be transposed to tracker in shared drive)
2. E-mail will appear in inbox and Outlook rules will sort e-mails into 3 different folders based off Subject line

Now the part I am stuck at

In my tracker I have some rules in order to arrive at a decision. In a nutshell, based off a specific cell value (Column H), I need to respond to the original e-mail with predefined templates along with 3 changing fields.

The part I am stuck at is how do I reference the original email in outlook?

Please help :)

Dear Experts, I am in a Distribution group of Exchange  2016 environment. When I sent an email to this group, I received an email from myself. So how can we stop it? I tested on both outlook and OWA but there is no difference.

Google calendar is your best bet everyone can submit and edit to it. You can also have meeting rooms as users so no one double books.

Emails - Archiving

How as an Administrator in Office 365, can I setup to get access to email from any User - from when they started with the business.

At present we can only recover from 2017 only - we need say to recover if the User(s) have been with company since 2015.

Would appreciate some advice on this - within Office 365.

How can I archive old email into another pst account that can come up independently and not come up with the main account?
Needless to say we do not want to lose any of these important emails.

I get my email service from a hosting site (which is also my DNS provider), which is Namespro.ca, for my personal site which is bissegger.ca.

I have 2 iPads - one iPad mini, and one standard iPad, where I cannot get email to send (stays in the outbox). There is no problem with incoming email.

I have tried a lot of things to address this issue, which I will describe below, but have not been able to resolve the issue - so I am looking for some help.

Here's the background info, and what I have tried:

1. I have set up the email successfully with no problem on my Mac on the first try, and sends and receives correctly, using the same ports and everything. So I do not believe it is a network provider issue.

2. I am using 2 different iPads for testing.
- iPad mini version 9.3.5, and
- iPad standard version 10.3.3
Both are at the latest software version FYI

3. Initially, I thought it may be a certificate issue, so I asked my hosting provider for an alternative to 'mail.bissegger.ca' (where the alternative has a certificate), and they provided one 'lithium.namespro.ca'. I have tried both iPads with both 'mail.bissegger.ca'  and 'lithium.namespro.ca', but no luck with either.

4. I have 2 emails : chuck@bissegger.ca and diane@bissegger.ca on BOTH ipads, and neither work on either ipad. So it is not an email accounts issue. I have deleted all other SMTP servers so there should not be any conflicts.

5. I am pretty IT saavy (I run an IT professional services …

On a new laptop I put Outlook 2007 on it and told it to search for my account automatically@charter.net and it put the account on with a pop account and started to download and by doing that it downloaded it to my laptop but erased all the emails off the server from charter I have most all of the emails which of course are important to me I want to repopulate the charter account with some 2000 email on the new laptop I have.
However my other laptop desktop and my cell phone now only show some 100 new emails and not the 2000 not with their before I need to have all accounts is IMAP which they are now but the outlook account that has those 2000 emails I'm afraid to put back online as if it tries to sync from the server to the desktop or to the laptop is going to erase the 2000 emails on that newer laptop.
How can I send all those emails on that new laptop backup to the server to sync with the Charter (the ISP)server.
Thank you
