An email client, email reader or more formally mail user agent (MUA) is a computer program in the category of groupware environments used to access and manage a user's email. A web application that provides message management, composition, and reception functions may internally act as an email client; as a whole, it is commonly referred to as webmail. Likewise, email client may be referred to a piece of computer hardware or software whose primary or most visible role is to work as an email client. Email clients can also have other systems, like calendars, notes and contact managers.

Hi Experts,

I hope and pray to the Almighty that everyone is Safe and Secure !!!

I am receiving same email sometime from different yahoo groups, which is eating away the inbox space.
Is there a way to identify and delete all those emails except one of them in ONE go.

Regards
Kanwaljit

Hello, we have a few users who regularly connect to shared PST files.  Over the last few weeks they have reported that some of the PST's are becoming corrupt and they can't open them.  The PST's are located on a shared drive and they all have .corrupt at the end of the file name (e.g. "sharedpst.pst.corrupt").  I have tried restoring the PST files from backup and using the scanpst tool but the files just become corrupted again after a few days.  Also scan pst appears to fix the file, but when i re-run it the tool still reports corruptions.

When I travel and need to access these 4 accounts: Facebook, Yahoo mail, Hotmail #1 and Hotmail #2 I have trouble. The sites see me logging in from a strange IP address and want me to confirm the accounts thought a text message to my phone or an access code from a phone call. Not possible as the phone does not work overseas.

All these sites have "recovery" methods but all are texted code or phone call code. Last trip to Guatemala I thought I'd never get into them.

Any ideas beside buying an expensive phone for overseas use.

A clients uses IONOS (1&1) as their e-mail provider.

When they send e-mail from Outlook or the webmail client the sent messages don't amalgamate or synchronise: They are separate queues on the different systems.

Any ideas on how to do this or can it be done?

With many thanks.

I've just started using Thunderbird and I find it a bit slow at times, however it does two things I really need:  1, work with multiple account inboxes; and 2, allow me to save email to a set of offline folders (which I can drag and drop email to from any inbox).

I've tried Mailbird, which I really like the usability and speed of, and it let's me use several accounts, but I can't see any way of having a set of off-line folders that I can save email (from all accounts) to.

Is there a way to set this up that I just haven't found?

What I don't want to do is just save individual email and throw them into a folder structure (of dozens and dozens of folders) through a mechanism that's more like email export.  Alternatively, I could live with being able to drag-n-drop email between folders of different accounts by having one account with a set of folders and moving email into that.  I already have one master account to go with the half dozen individual accounts that people I support (family) have.

I have a problem sending email attachments from my Outlook account to various Yahoo email accounts.  The email arrives fine, but the attachments are somehow corrupted into something that cannot be opened.  Below is a screen shot of the message I get when I attempt to download a PDF file, though the same happens with Word attachments.  And there is no "open" option available.  It seems as though all the attachments are renamed to some version of "di-mail.ymail.com":

Please help.

I'm looking for a way to move email I have in an Outlook *.pst file to Thunderbird that actually works.

I used to use Outlook for personal email, which I kept in a *.pst file.  The company policy has changed however and I cannot use Outlook for personal email any longer.

My personal email is Gmail and Thunderbird has been a long-time supplier of a solid email product so I installed that and it works fine, however I have thousands of email in a hierarchy of perhaps a hundred folders I need to move over.

I've tried uploading to gmail folders from Outlook on another computer, however that's a complete joke.  Files don't show up.  The equivalent of folders in email don't get created.  Just a disaster.

I've downloaded a thunderbird extension for import, however it fails while throwing windows errors.

I have yet to find a program that can move the email (and the folder hierarchy) into Thunderbird, so I'm writing to see if anyone can recommend one that will actually work.  Free or otherwise.

I use Windows for my computers, but have both an iPhone and iPad connected to my Yahoo email account.  All of a sudden (as of four days ago) my email stopped coming into my iPhone and iPad.  Everything else seems to be working.  At the bottom of the screen it gives me the following message:  "Updated Saturday.  Account Error:  Yahoo!  Details" ... but when I click on "Details" nothing happens.  They are connected to our WiFi network.  What could have caused this, and how do I fix it?

Thanks,

Phil

When I open and read emails in Outlook O365 (desktop) with zoom set to 100%, it's too small. I'd like the zoom to be set to 120%. Currently it's 100% and apparently resets back to 100% even after I change it. It's too small and the text is difficult to read.
How can I set this so that it never resets to 100 --unless I change a setting or change VBA code.

I am trying to create a way for external mail to be sent to an address in our company that would be distributed among several internal user mailboxes using a Contact in Exchange 365.  Situation: there is a Contact jane@mydomain.com who is also a user in AD. I just want this contact to point to a list of other domain users so that all mail sent to it from outside of the company goes to them. Right now the Contact just points to itself and all internal mail gets bounced back to sender - #550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found ##., mail sent from external sources just disappears.  I'm missing something basic here just not sure what it is.

Is a DL a better choice for this? Do I need to delete the contact and AD user and just create a new distribution group?

One user can't connect to Exchange via Outlook.
Outlook 2016/2019 & Exchange 2016

Few days ago the client was unable to setup an iphone for the user/mailbox.

Followed:  KB https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2579075/activesync-users-cannot-synchronize-an-eas-device-for-the-first-time-i
Resolved the issue with the iphone setup, but next day Outlook started to prompt for credentials.

Repeated efforts to setup the account/re setup have all failed.  Tried different machines and versions of Outlook - no luck
Always repeated password prompts & then fails.   Tried to manually configure.
OWA access works just fine
Same workstation & logged in as the user in questions - Can create an Outlook profile & connect for other users.
Went into AD, user, advance security & reset to defaults.   Made no differences.
Exchange mailbox hasn't changed.  Active sync/OWA enabled.

Sort of stumped short of the nuclear option...  any ideas?
Thanks!

I am looking for some specific examples on how using a proper help desk/service desk application to handle service requests and incidents is a more efficient way of dealing with things than a general IT@ourcompany.com shared mailbox. We still offer both as ways to end users to log tickets with IT, but the shared mailbox is not linked to the service desk, it requires an officer in that team to manually create a ticket in the help desk/service desk which takes up time and things can become 'lost' shall we say. We are trying to stop users using the shared mailbox as a way of raising tickets but I could do with some key reasons why to help my case.

where specifically would there be clues in a Office365 mailbox or logs associated with Office365 if any mail which has hit the mailbox contained malware? And what actual impact that malware has had, e.g. forwarded sensitive information from the mailbox outside.

Is it common/plausible that malware via email could then leak other emails from the account out to another address etc.

How to add a displayed "Sent" folder to an Outlook IMAP account. I have four email accounts that I use in Outlook 2016. Two of the accounts display and give me the chance of getting into emails that I have sent. I have two email accounts that do not show a "Sent" folder. I need to know how to add this ability. Thanks Experts in advance.

When I send an email to someone from either Gmail's web interface or from my Gmail account on my Android, I receive a copy of that email in my Outlook 2013 Gmail inbox. I do not however get a copy in my Gmail inbox with the web interface or on my phone. I have no filters or forwarding configured in settings on Gmail. My gmail account is set up as a POP account for specific reasons so configuring as IMAP is not an option.

I have searched for an answer and tried several suggestions but none of them appear to be stopping this action.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have a situation where our IPS and sometimes our SPAM filter blocks specific IP addresses that are sending mail from GMail and Google mail. In every instance these blocked IP's are on an Internet black list. Googles' solution is to white list these servers and any other Google servers (literally thousands of them), this is insane to me. I am sure others have encountered this situation and I am wondering how do you handle it.

A monthly email to me from a company is reported at their end as having been sent, but I don't receive it. It doesn't go into my spam, and the sender along with their IT dept., don't think they are at fault.

Any ideas what I might try to look for or suggest to them as an investigation into this, or a solution?

Thanks,
k.
