An email client, email reader or more formally mail user agent (MUA) is a computer program in the category of groupware environments used to access and manage a user's email. A web application that provides message management, composition, and reception functions may internally act as an email client; as a whole, it is commonly referred to as webmail. Likewise, email client may be referred to a piece of computer hardware or software whose primary or most visible role is to work as an email client. Email clients can also have other systems, like calendars, notes and contact managers.

question.jpgHi all,

I am using Exchange Server 2010 and clients are Outlook 2007 to 2016 and some Mac clients. I discovered some email only display the display name and without email address, and some displayed both display name and email address. I do not know what wrong. Is there any method to solve this issue? I need to show both display name and email address. Please refer to my attached file.

Best regards,

I have various users who have access to a shared mailbox in exchange online.

The problem is that any messages that arrive from their voicemail provider is going into junk for everyone.

I have added the address to the allow list on the spam filter in Exchange Online.

Emails are still going into spam.

Im guessing the issue is therefore one of the email clients (outlook for mac mainly) has marked it as junk and it is therefore the same for everyone.

Any advice would help.

Is there a way to track how and when an email was moved to a different folder within a mailbox?

Scenario: A user received an email and disappeared when viewing on phone. When it was checked later it showed that the email was now in the user's Draft's folder. The user also has 2 delegates that have access to the mailbox and have the original user's mailbox setup on their phones as well.

Is this something that is covered within Mailbox auditing in Exchange 2010?

After an exchange 2013 to O365 Cut over migration, we realized that we needed to move a public folder used to store contacts. I have exported the public mailbox to a pst but none of the contacts are present.  I would like to connect an outlook client to the EOL exchange server to view the email profiles as they where prior to migration.   We have not removed exchange from AD or uninstalled the product.  however we have removed the SCP pointer from AD so that outlook will connect to O365.   Any tips here folks?

I have a user who opens email messages that have been saved to a network location and they don't fully display. If you maximize or minimize it and then restore it to a window, it displays correctly. I've run diagnostics on the laptop and updated everything Dell has for this machine but the problem persists. It doesn't happen with messages in the user's mailbox. We save pertinent email messages in our various project folders. This appears to be the only user experiencing this

Gmail contacts will not be synced in web access, when someone else makes changes within the same account. once we signed out and log back in, the changes will appear.

We have a problem with some users sending emails to an external email address and CC'ing an internal group (AddDev). The external user receives the email with the CC containing "AppDev"  I know an internet address will replace the "AppDev" if the group document contains an internet address (appdev@domain.com). In this case "AppDev" does not contain an internet address.

I know, if the user remembers, can click on "More - Expand Public Groups" will replace "AppDev" in the CC with the user names within that group.

Is there a way to eliminate the user having to click "More - Expand Public Groups" and have the server automatically do it if the is being externally sent?

I have some Win XP machines that are used for connection to an older ERP. They use Outlook 2010 with all the latest updates. We were on an Exchange 2013 email platform and it was working. Our email provider recently migrated to Exchange 2016 and now the Windows XP computers cannot connect. When adding a new profile and connecting as an Exchange over https client, an error is received that 'must be connected or online'. We have run the commands on the server to specify the certificate used for connection, but this has not resolved the issue. Is there any other options for settings on the computer or the server that may help?
Thank you

I have been blessed with the task of learning and troubleshooting evault enterprise server 12. So far things are going well but I have a few issues that I have been asked for assistance.

In our environment we have several users at any given point whose local vault cache we have to reset, because the Outlook client stops connecting to the server. In some of those cases building a new outlook profile works also.

I have searched the event viewer logs and cannot find anything really consistent with what is occurring (mind you I am not there when this occurs). All I hear is the last time the Outlook client (version varies 2010, 2013 and 2016) was such in such date and now it's not syncing. Consequentially, we copy all the items out of the "to archive" folder up to the exchange mailbox and reset the vault cache.

One last thing, the Exchange portion works in cached mode or in online mode. Any leads on how to attack this issue

I have a client that is using Mailenable 3.61.  I noticed today that there are emails stuck in the inbound and outbound queues.  Seems no matter what i do, I cannot get this to resolve.

I have restarted the server and the services  multiple times and still nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

We are trying to create two generic ID files in Domino admin for registering person docs (Registering New users) and re-certify user certificates which are expired. Current issue is we when we create a new person document with ID file and grant access to Admin server and try creating a new lotus domino account, we are unable to view list of certifiers to select.

When we try to modify recovery authorities but it fails and does not resolve the current issue, When we try to Modify certifiers and try to remove administrators its giving an error  “Cannot locate user certificate. Make sure server contains your certificate for encryption”. I also tried copying the person document of that administrator back into their directory and followed the same steps which did not help me.

Can any one help me at the earliest as its very important to us?2019-03-28-09_35_36-2019-02-10-10_46.png

Our company is setup with Exchange email and all users are using Outlook to edit and send emails.
This has been confirmed to appen at least on Windows 7 64 bit PCs, both on 32bit and 64bit MsOffice.
I have observed the following scenario to occur regularly, across number of Outlook releases (from 2010 in the last years to 2016 we use now).
The problem is guaranteed to occur at some stage when you will be replying to an email received from a gmail email user. Sometimes this will also be a case for replies from a Hotmail email. Generally I think this is something to do with a thread of an email as previously quoted thread of an email is attached to the bottom of the message by such (gmail or hotmail) mailbox user.
Such email would usually be a handful of replies forth and back between ourselves and the sender. First one is never going to fail. The longer the thread of attached emails the greater chances of us encountering the problem.

What happens is:
Replying to such email will freeze Outlook and ALL subwindows of Outlook indefinitely. Now, this freezing can happen immediately OR a couple of minutes into you happily typing the text of your reply. When it does freeze, you will not be able to switch between open Outlook messages, windows - nothing.
The only way to carry on is to go via Task Manager , terminate Outlook and hoping it will recover message you've been typing.

The quick (and barely acceptable) quick fix is: opening such email message (say you know …

I have exchange 2010 and use outlook 2016.  One workstation that has 2 email addresses added to outlook has lost connection to the secondary email address. Both email addresses are domain email addresses (usera@domain.net, userB@domain.net)  The workstation operating system is windows 10 pro and is joined to our domain.  The user logs on to their domain account and opens outlook.  Outlook prompts for the username and password of the second email address but does not allow access to the second email address.  Outlook will continue to prompt for the username and password of the secondary email address even after the correct password is entered.  Other users on the domain have access to the secondary email address and do not have the connectivity issue.  Clicking on the email address in outlook, it says.  The set of folders could not be opened.  The attempt to logon to Microsoft exchange has failed.

Hi,

I have an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy A3) which is connected to our network's WiFi.

There is a printer; (HP PageWide Pro 477dw), which is connected on our wired network.

Two apps have been installed on this phone;

1. Microsoft Outlook application
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&hl=en_IE
2. HP Print Service Plugin
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hp.android.printservice

Email has been synced with Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook 2016 on network connected PCs.

I have logged in successfully to the Microsoft Outlook application on the Android phone and can access, send and receive emails.

The problem is that there is no option to print emails or to highlight an attachment in email and click print.

When viewing pictures from gallery and web pages through Google on the Android phone, there is the option for print and printing works successfully.

Is there a way of printing emails from the Outlook application on Android phones or if not, then what other alternative would there be?

Thanks,
Robbie

I have multiple users that when trying to send an email encrypted they get the error following recipients had missing or invalid certificates, or conflicting or unsupported encryption capabilities.  One of the users is me however some users can send me encrypted emails.

If the person sending the encrypted emails search for me , right clicks , and adds me to his contact list he then is able to send me an encrypted email. I know this is not normal they should just be able to click reply with out adding me into contacts.

Any ideas?

Hello,

we are using Mobile Device Manager Plus MSP. Our goal is to get mobile devices that are secure with no unwanted app and no change of system settings. The devices have only company email access. The phones are company owned so no BYOD.
For us the Kiosk mode was a proper solution for this.

Now we have 2 problems with email.
Since Android 8 Gmail seams to be the default email-config-setup app. So if you push the active sync settings and MDM will setup the password it will always open Gmail.
How can we change this or is there a work around?

We don't want to use the Gmail App, because the accounts settings are "open". This means you can add other private mail accounts.
So the other question is, what are other (enterprise) Mail Apps than can be configured with only the company active sync server?

Maybe the Mail App will also solve the first question :)

Thank you.

In a work environment where the client is using Mozilla Thunderbird version 60.5.0 (32-bit) in conjunction with Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions Manufacturing and Wholesale version 2019, emails are sent out to vendors with purchase orders.  The client would like to have his Mozilla Thunderbird present a receipt to his computer with the Thunderbird installation when the message is opened or better yet read.  Is there a setting and where within Mozilla Thunderbird 60.5.0 would provide the best solution to get a verification from the vendor upon receipt of the email as sometimes emails are in some occasions are assumed sent, a purchase order that is assumed attached doesn't get sent for some reason or the email isn't received.

..or is there another third party solution.

I have a email group with two owners who can approve or reject messages sent out to the distribution group. However, one of the owners of the group rejected the email yet it was sent out and the other party also confirmed they didn't approve it.

I attached the rejected email message.  Showing that the group owner refused the approval.

Can someone explain the logic, can another group owner approve if one rejected ? Will it still go through?

I have configured my outlook to send digitally signed emails. It works fine when sending to other outlook users. When the recipient  is using gmail or yahoo for example, the body of the email is sent as an attachment. This attachment cannot be opened within the email client and the only option is to save. Is there a way for gmail and yahoo recipients to be able to easily view the content of signed emails?
