Is it impractical to use Verizon/AOL email from a SmartPhone through the AT&T cellular network, and do I therefore need to abandon my verizon.net email account?

Background:

I have two main email accounts - @verizon.net and @gmail.com. Since Verizon ported me over to AOL (while maintaining my verizon.net address) accessing my verizon.net email with my phone is problematic through a cellular connection. This was the case when I was an AT&T customer and is still the case when I am a Consumer Cellular customer accessing the AT&T network.

Frequently, the verizon.net email frequently cannot make the connection to the server from my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone using the cellular connection. This may happen a few times or even 20 times, and then a connection is made and email is received and sent.

The Verizon.net email works fine on the same phone through WiFi. The Gmail account works fine through both WiFi and cellular. Both accounts work fine through my Windows desktop computer.

The problem happened with the email account configured as POP3 and still occurs with the account reconfigured as IMAP. I use an SSL connection although I had the same problem using no encryption.

I see many mentions of this on the web. It seems widely attributed to incompatibilities between the AT&T, especially when accessed through a bulk provider such as Consumer Cellular, and AOL.

Is this the case? Is my only practical choice to stop using the verizon.net email address?

Thanks,

I've been giving an assignment to move customers off Reflexion and onto proofpoint. Anyone have any experience doing that and what is involved?

Am I wrong if understand "Archiving emails " in MS Outlook will reduce the .PST file by reducing its size?

If so, what is the real mechanism behind it actually?

Please help, wiZards. Many thanks in advance.

Many websites claim to extract email addresses from a list of websites.  However, few do very well.  Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I used to get Hotmail.com Emails on my iPhone (via the "Outlook" app.  That stopped a week ago.  Today I disconnected Hotmail (Outlook) turned off my iPhone, then turned it back on and tried to reconnect my Hotmail account.

I was asked for my email password which I entered.  I got "Error.  Please check your Internet connection and try again."  I did using Safari and I do have Internet access.

Any ideas that may help?

Hello, I want to export several thousand emails from Windows Live Mail 2012 to Outlook.  I'm trying to use WLM's inbuilt Export to Exchange feature.  There are 1,020 emails in Inbox, and then there are loads of folders within the Inbox, with another 4000, roughly.  The process begins fine, and when reaches email number 684 of the Inbox, out of 1,020 (always the same email), WLM crashes, and the process halted.  I've heard of other people having the same problem as well, and when they try to open the offending email in WLM, they get an error - which suggests corruption in the email.  However I have no idea how they found which email it was that wouldn't open.  How can I tell which email number 684 is, so that I can just delete this and carry on.  I obviously can't open every email in my Inbox.

Any ideas?

I know there are 3rd party paid apps to do the migration for me, but I'd like to see if I can do it this way first.

Thanks,

I have a helpdesk account that until recently was also monitored by a consultant. We have let this consultant go but emails are still going to this person. In the management console this person has neither full access or send rights. This consultant is not in the delegate access in account settings. I can find them nowhere yet emails are still going to him. I have run out of places to look. Is there something I can do with Exchange Powershell? I really am not very good with this tool but if someone told me what to do I could follow it. Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

When using Thunderbird, how do you copy or save images that are embedded in the body of a received email (ie images were pasted into the body of the email by the sender and not attached as files)?

I received an email which contains 4-5 images pasted in the body. Right-clicking on the image brings up a menu but there is no Save or Save as option. There is a Copy option but after selecting that, nothing appears when pasting it. Furthermore, Ditto clipboard manager (which retains a duplicate of everything copied to the clipboard) has no sign of it. I also tried Select all (Ctrl+a) — which does highlight the images — followed by Ctrl+c but the paste includes only the text from the email.

At this point, it seems like my only option is to use the Snipping Tool to capture the images from my screen one-at-a-time. However, I would be very surprised if Thunderbird does not have a way to do it and the problem is that I just don't know what that is.

Thanks

Hi,

Had issues with ActiveSYnc timing out on Exchange 2010 SP2 RU4. Updated the server to SP3 RU17 on May 20th.
Only the activesync timeout problem for 3 Users existed prior to this update. These activesync issues remain for the three Users (not the focus of this question) and new issues are seen (focus of this question):

Total of 15 Users out of 250+ affected with this new problem. These Users are not the same with the ActiveSync issue:
1) For SOME Users all shared mailboxes in Outlook no longer populate with emails or auto-update immediately after the updates.
2) For SOME Users, this issue appeared to start a full week later.
3) For ONE User, only one of three shared mailboxes in Outlook are not auto-updating.
4) Selecting the folder in Outlook ,choosing the 'Send/ Receive' tab and selecting 'Download Headers' then 'Update Folder', allows the emails in these shared boxes to populate with new emails (since the last time this process was manually run).
5) Win7 Pro for all but two Users, who are on Win10.

What I have tried (not necessarily in this order):
1) New Outlook profiles
2) New Win7/ 10 User Profiles. Tried this because loading two of these Users' profiles onto a different, unused laptop works fine.
3) Deleting the .OSTs manually and rebuilding
4) Cached Mode/ Online Mode
5) Deleting the autodiscover xml record in the Outlook profile folder. Did this in case that file was corrupted and was not pulling the shared mailbox info properly.
6) Saw a …

Greetings,
my not-for-profit has 20+ service-focused email accounts for different business needs. Right now I keep about 10 tabs open on my desktop to monitor incoming traffic and reply when needed. Is there an app/dashboard (like Hootsuite) which I could use to create dashboards to manage these Inboxes?

Thanks!

my OS is win 10 pro 64 bit and I use Outlook owa and i have the Office 365 Business Essentials account.
In my Outlook email, I use msn email, the free version.
From time to time I get emails and sometimes they are similar offers but from different email accounts.
Is it possible by looking at the headers if I could ascertain that Email sender A and Email sender B, are actually the same person from the same location, etc.  If yes, how and where do I look for this information.  Or is there any software that could do this or a web site. Thank u

We have several SQL-based applications which sends out email alerts. But when sending to 4 or more individual recipients, it fails. Error message states: "The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure."  However, if we place this recipients in a mail-enabled SG, it works fine. This started to occur about 30 days ago. We are a Office 365 Hybrid company with all mailboxes in the Cloud and we're using Barracuda Appliance as a gateway.

Has anyone seen this issue?

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

I get an email in outlook 2016 through my pop mail server (if that matters), with the specific email I am looking at sent from gmail... but I think this is a generic question.

On the to line, along with my name, it might show 'steve smith'; 'bob jones'; etc.... the other people it was sent to, with each name in single quotes (this is a group mailing)

Each is a hyperlink - i can hover on a name and a little window pops up with the contact image (just the default outline), and the mail icon is clickable.  A down arrow brings up a bigger contact window with that person's email address.

My question - where is it getting all those person's names?  From the sender's contact list? or is it matching to my contact list? Don't think that's the case, 'cause I don't have some of those people.

and when I send an email, is it also picking up the person's name and including it along with their email?

If I was to have a contact for 'bob (what a butthead) smith'  with email bobsmith@gmail.com, when I type an email to bob smith, does he see that name I have for him!?

Is there a way to keep that from being sent? so he just sees it was sent to bobsmith@gmail.com?

Hi All -
I have a list of about 330 Email Addresses from customers of ours over the last 10 years.
I suspect that about 1/2 of those email addresses are no longer valid.
Is there a PHP Script or Utility or some way that I can load in 330 emails and have them checked/pinged as valid *before* I try to email to them?
I don't want to generate 150-some-odd email bounces ... if for no other reason, the 3rd party email services will be blocking my account!!

(The emails are in a CSV file right now, 1 per line, nicely separated. It doesn't matter to me what platform, Windows, Mac, Linux Web Server)

Thanks in advance

Hi

the company I work for have taken over another company with a SBS, I am installing another server and joining them to our domain and taking out their SBS, they presently receive emails to the SBS but I want to use our exchange server (exchange 2012) and keep their email addresses the same, I have set up the emails on the exchange 2012 and now need to redirect emails to that exchange server, I've checked via MXtoolbox and found only PTR records set up.
My question is how do I set up the MX records so emails will be delivered to our server instead of the old SBS server?
thank you in advance.
