My Microsoft Outlook Sent Items are no longer visible for Gmail.  I assume it happened during the significant Office updates that happened in the last couple weeks or so. When I long into Gmail on the Internet they exist but Outlook doesn't see them. Thanks!

I've been using the same email addresses on the same computer with Outlook 2013 for years.  My email addresses are/were thru Verizon.

Within the last year AOL bought the emails from Verizon.  For a period of time the emails worked with the same Outlook settings as they had before AOL made the purchase.  Recently AOL stopped supporting the old setting and I revised my accounts to the new setting.  Everything worked fine for a couple weeks but every once in a while I'd get this popup for each of the two accounts.

EEOutlookPopupjpg.jpg
I am at my computer all day for my work.  In prior years I would get this popup rarely and when I did get it, it was usually because Verizon was having email issues.

Now, I get this popup for both email accounts I have routed to this computers Outlook.

The email address is not having issues.  I can get and receive emails to the same accounts on my phone without issue.  I have re-entered the password and checked the "Save this password in your password list" dozens of times with no resolution.

Today was the worst it's been.  I have my email set to 'Send Receive' every ten minutes and this popup seemed to appear for both accounts every time the send/receive was invoked.  Even when I confirm the password and click the 'Save password' box Outlook will not retrieve my email.  I get a send/receive error.

Anyone having similar issues or know what is causing this and how to resolve?

I can't seem to do something really simple.  I just want to forward my yahoo mail to hotmail.  The following directions do not work:

When I click on 'Settings' the only thing I see is 'More Settings' and then it leads me here:

An Outlook 2016 user mistakenly chose to delete all occurrences of a reoccurring calendar appointment that was set for 8 AM everyday.

We use Office 365 to host our email.

Now we don't see any sign of this deleted appointment within the users Outlook calendar, within the deleted items folder, or if we click on the "Recover items recently removed from this folder" option within the deleted items folder.

What other methods can we use for finding this missing calendar appointment?

How can I lock the main Outlook 2016 fields so that they will retain the same width (for the From, Subject, Received, Size, Categories, etc. fields) (see the screenshot).

Greetings wise wizards of EE:

I'm helping a friend who has a fairly new iMac, running El Capitan, and Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac. I sent up an IMAP account with his @sbcglobal.net e-mail (from AT&T), which is able to send and receive. However, it constantly prompts him to input his smtp password, and I have confirmed that the smtp settings and port number is correct. I have tried every possible AT&T server settings, and I check "Keep this password in the keychain". He typically inputs his password in the morning, and ignores all requests that appear after (usually several per day) and his email then sends normally. This issue is not preventing him from using his e-mail, but it is highly irritating.

I am convinced it is either a Microsoft application or operating system issue. Both Office & El Capitan are up to date.

Please advice to make this incredibly annoying error message exist no more!

Many thanks in advance,

Zovoth

Comcast / IMAP setup.  New Macbook pro

Entire inbox on the Outlook application instance is refreshed…. while working in the inbox reading and replying to e-mails.

From my customer:
"It ‘appears’ that the entire list of e-mails in the Inbox disappears.. And then are all re-downloaded again… without retaining the  flags or categorizations I recently applied to them recently.   I watch the e-mail thumb-nail ID info scroll past on the screen border… sometimes taking several minutes… before I can return to the e-mail item I was working with."

I have an ASP classic application that sends emails, I currently use an old extension for Dreaweaver to generate the code that sends emails. Its like a wizard, you fill out the necessary information and the extension creates the code.
Unfortunately the latest versions of Dreamweaver do not support this extension anymore.

I am looking for some sort of template/code/plugin I can use to replace the old code, something more modern I guess.

The current extension allows me to specify the following:

1.  SMTP server details (CDOSYS)
2. Subject
3. Recipients (to/cc/bcc, this can be a list that comes from a result of a recordset)
4. Attached documents (Also from the results of a recordset, could be more than one attachment)
5. HTML for the body of the email

Anything to replace this extension must include the above at least.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

A user who used to be an Office 365 global administrator receives "Identity synchronization Error Report" emails. She continues to receive these emails even though her global administrator role was removed a month ago. Now she is just a standard Office 365 user without any administrator roles.

Also even though I am an Office 365 global administrator I don't receive these email notifications nor do other Office 365 global administrators within our organization.

Where within Office 365 do I need to go to edit who receives these and other Office 365 error message and notification emails?

What are the steps necessary to enable Office 365 litigation hold for all sent and received emails so that all emails (even those that have been permanently deleted) will be retained?

Around five to seven years ago I discovered several utilities that would query all email addresses within a user's Outlook Inbox and Sent emails folder and would then add these email addresses to a user's Outlook auto complete email address entries. The email address auto complete entries are the email addresses that appear within the Outlook address bar whenever the first few letters of a user's email address or name are typed in the address bar.

I need to do this with Outlook 2016.

Where can I download these types of utilities from?

I have an exchange 2010 / o365 hybrid setup.

I have an internal SMTP relay that applications use to send out mail.

It has stopped sending outside of the organization. I have done a million things. but i just removed, and recreated it. It will deliver email to the o365 mailboxes, but nothing external (gmail, yahoo..etc)

I did run the following after i created it:

Get-ReceiveConnector "Anonymous Relay" | Add-ADPermission -User "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" -ExtendedRights "Ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Recipient"

It ran without error.

I also made sure the IP's of my device are in the allowed list. and that it accepts anonymous users.

I can telnet to that server on port 25 and send a message. there is no error.

any help troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.

When a user within our organization sends a certain Power Point file as an email file attachment using Outlook 2016 the email arrives in the recipients Inbox but the Power Point file attachment is no longer attached to the email.

We believe this is happening because Office 365 detects malware or some other type of problem with this Power Point file attachment. This file attachment is well within the file size attachment quota limits.

The sender doesn't receive any type of notification saying that the file attachment has been dropped or quarantined and the persons receiving this email don't know that the email was supposed to have a file attachment.

What can be done to change this so that if Office 365 ever drops a sender's file attachment the sender will receive an email notification that the file has been dropped or quarantined?

Is it also possible to make it so that the persons receiving this email will also be notified that the email they have received has had the file attachment dropped or quarantined?

I have the following script but when trying to send from another account/shared mailbox the script will not run but works fine from the default email account

Any pointers where I've gone wrong?

Public Sub SendDrafts()

Dim lDraftItem As Long
Dim myOutlook As Outlook.Application
Dim myNameSpace As Outlook.NameSpace
Dim myFolders As Outlook.Folders
Dim myDraftsFolder As Outlook.MAPIFolder

'Send all items in the "Drafts" folder that have a "To" address filled in.

'Setup Outlook

Set myOutlook = Outlook.Application
Set myNameSpace = myOutlook.GetNamespace("MAPI")
Set myFolders = myNameSpace.Folders

'Set Draft Folder. This will need modification based on where it's being run.

Set myDraftsFolder = myFolders("Credit Control").Folders("Drafts")

'Loop through all Draft Items

For lDraftItem = myDraftsFolder.Items.Count To 1 Step -1

'Check for "To" address and only send if "To" is filled in.

If Len(Trim(myDraftsFolder.Items.Item(lDraftItem).To)) > 0 Then

'Send Item

myDraftsFolder.Items.Item(lDraftItem).Send

End If
Next lDraftItem

'Clean-up

Set myDraftsFolder = Nothing
Set myNameSpace = Nothing
Set myOutlook = Nothing

I have been handed a task to remove all emails from Evault Journals and archives. Any idea on how to do this besides going to each archived mailbox and removing this manually. I ran a script and removed them in Exchange but not sure on how to do this in Evault enterprise. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

What is SQL Server and how does it work?

The purpose of this paper is to provide you background on SQL Server. It’s your self-study guide for learning fundamentals. It includes both the history of SQL and its technical basics. Concepts and definitions will form the solid foundation of your future DBA expertise.

I like the functionality of Boomerang and would consider it on my next product launch. Does it require GMail?

Is Mail Gun an alternative? I used that once before and it did not require GMail.

Thanks,

I have a client using a Panasonic phone system (KX-TVA200). The vendor who set it up tried to configure it to use one of their O365 user accounts to relay, a free Google account and a free Yahoo account. None worked. He finally said that the system can't send using TLS or STARTTLS. They don't have an in-house SMTP Server (as they are on O365).

He ended up using his Exchange Server to relay the voicemails to email - which is only a temporary fix.

Questions (Note - I know nothing about phone systems!):
1. Is he correct that the KX-TVA200 can't sent secure emails and we can't use an O365 account to relay?
2. If so, can I setup/use an in-house Windows 10 PC as an SMTP Server to relay the mail?
3. Or would it be simpler/easier to use an SMTP Service (like serversmtp.com)?

I've never attempted Number 2 or 3 and am looking for the simplest solution with minimal setup. They probably only get about 10-20 voicemails a day for the entire office.

Hello all,
I have a client that needs to encrypt some of her emails (not all) due to the sensitive nature of what is contained in her emails.
I am looking for either software or an appliance that will do this.
Here are the two caveats that will throw a monkey wrench into the works.
1)  She is using gmail but with her own domain.  One question is that I heard that gmail uses TSL for encryption so you do not have to encrypt those emails, is that true?
2)  She only has two computers that she is using (very small business, but with it's own 2012 R2 server).  Obviously she can't afford any appliances that are over $2,000.
Thank you,
Kelly W.
