We are looking for on premise application for warehouse management the application should have capability to develop work-flows and ability to trigger automatic email alert , we are not into mass production we mainly receive the items, unpack and see if documents are missing and if so escalate to the concerned to have good reporting engine and analytics. We have separate systems currently for Procurement (a Cloud Saas), HR (a Cloud SaaS)
& Finance (an on-prem Oracle E-Business_Suite).

There's proposal from snr management to move to a single ERP, replacing all the
disparate systems.

a) Minimize customizations & adapt work processes to the new ERP
    system rather than customize ERP system to adapt to the old work
    processes : anyone disagree with this?

b) Crucial to get a good PM & implementation consultant with good
     track record & not out to sell their ERP solutions only

c) staff must be positive to adopt & adapt

d) resources / bandwidth / learning capacity  of staff

e) compatibility of existing systems' data to be migrated over to
    the new system;  otherwise have to rekey in most data

f) our auditor who worked in one such past ERP implementations
   commented that mapping & matching the roles/functions of
   staff to the new ERP system is crucial

We are looking for the application where the movement of the items to be stored and tracked of its import and export process, we would like to measure the time taken of each movement and complete insight on where at present the item is, this could be under the import or export process ,
Repair process.
 We export the items for the repair where it has following process involved pick up from the customer location, moves to local warehouse and then shipped to other country and reaches to their ware house and they send it to repair and once repair is completed they send it to their warehouse and from there shipped to our country ware house and from our country to customer location, there are multiple inbetween locations involved in this entire process, each of the location the item is moved then an email alert to be sent to receiving location concerned person about its arrival as it has shipped from the existing location. we should also store the documents for each of the items and each location their processing documentation will attached and the movement should carry the documents of each locations processing.
Purchase process, ( we are not creating quote, RFP, invoice) all we are doing is to maintain the documents which is already processed from other ERP system.
Also another process that is tracking the items delivered against each of the purchase order , for the same purchase order number the delivery happens on multiple shipments, in additional to track…

I need to build a simple ERP for my startup, which is about buying services.

Its input data will be taken from company's administration pages, i.e orders, customers, service etc.

So, 2 main issues:

a) How I can parse all those data from a protected (w/ password) page
b) Which drag n drop tool (like Filemaker) I should use, given I am not a professional programmer?

Would like to understand what all the functional design document will or to consists.  I can list only few points, business processes team wise ,  like system inputs, expected output , process flow , use case scenario , report and analytics please list the detailed. What does technical specification document consist few I can think of is out of the box modules used or custom modules developed, what formulas are used, dependency on data flow, fields on each role user pages. Please help me to get more detailed functional requirement and technical specification so that will ask the implementer to prepare and submit to us.

At present we are using CRM application which is hosted on premise and it is mainly used for handling the support cases, automated email alerts and to store all the case related data, repair and maintenance data ( all data are imported  only , ie, operational users will not use instead all these to be imported  ) and tool is only used for reporting and analytics purpose only . Now that for other business process where the operational users will use in every stage  hence the need for technology solution in additional to above mainly on following business process and solution to be deployed on premises only.
1.       complete material movement tracking and capture the activities involved and automated email notifications and if the delay escalation rules .  
2.      Service, repair and maintenance  
3.      Warehouse/logistics management
4.      Inventory management
5.      Invoice management/HRMS/Vendor bills/salary # this is optional mainly 1 to 4 is important
We cannot go for cloud solutions the solution to hosted on premise.  Please suggest the ERP application that can be best suited for above should we have to evaluate Microsoft dynamics ERP AX , SAP  or any other where it to be used for operational and also for reporting and analytics . please suggest the best suited ERP or other solutions. We have an internal application, whereby users are required to reset their passwords every 90 days. The application has its own security & accounts, and does not integrate with our AD domain in any way. The system itself stores fairly personal client records. If a user does not access the application in a period of time, the administrators do not seem very effective in disabling the users account which is what should happen (they are expected to manually review all active accounts every 8 weeks and disable any stale accounts, and query them with their line manager to determine if access is still appropriate or not), this what should happen – but a recent audit has identified this does not appear to be the case or working effectively.  

The application itself does not work in the same way as say Active Directory, as if a users password has expired (every 90 days is the current setting), the application does not simply prompt them to set a new password and then access can be achieved again, the administrator would have to reset the users password before access could be achieved. The admins are of the view that this is sufficient, e.g. if they have a list of 10 accounts who have not logged into the system in over 365 days, it doesn't really matter that they haven't disabled their accounts, as they cannot gain access to the data as their passwords will have expired. I am not overly comfortable with this approach, but I am struggling to find any real reasoning to counter their …

 What is it Okta can do or do better than Azure?  Would you need Okta if you already have Azure implemented?

Hi Experts,

We recently had one of our employees click on a link in a e-mail that took him to a fake site where he entered his credentials and his e-mail account was compromised.
Management hired a cyber security company who did scans on the systems, his e-mails and also other things on the web.
We have managed symantec Endpoint protection, intrustion, malware which is up to date and active.  
We also didn't have anything on the back end set up (per management) to protect our e-mail against spam, malware, all e-mails were to come through.
The cyber people are telling management that Symantec only gets 20% of intrusions, viruses and malware.  (I don't believe that, I have a e-mail box flooded with all the intrustions Symantec is getting and not one virus in 4 years which it caught).
Management from their advice is most likely going to force me to uninstall Symantec from all of our workstations and servers and deploy Carbon Black?

Can anyone tell me if this sounds as insane as it I think it is?  Anyone familiar with Carbon Black?  

Please help, I don't trust this at all and would love to be proven right or wrong.  I think this cyber company might be banking on management fears from my co-workers mistake.

My friend's work has 20 sales reps using Salesforce.com, each processing 250 signed contracts per year, for a total of 5,000 contracts

When he asked DocuSign how much the above electronic signature cost would be DocuSign said it would cost about $3 per contract, for a total of $15k/year

What other "Salesforce.com electronic signature" options do you recommend for the above volume that would cost a lot less since the only thing he wants is eSignatures, no other features ?

I'm trying to get SAP to send a report to Excel 2013 but keep getting the error Missing activeX component  Business Explorer Global Services.

Someone mentioned that this will only work with Excel 2010 , which I find odd, but then again this IS Microsoft!

What can I do other than downgrade excel to get it working?

Hello. I use SAP to extract various information from the screen manually. I would like a help with a script (VBA / SAPGUI) that searches the entries in a worksheet and copies the SAP information and saves it in an excel spreadsheet. can you help me?

I enter a transaction (ZPDIS_MM_BMD), with the contract number (4600xxxxxx), which shows a list of projects, then I choose one in the second column of these processes and I click for more information, then it has the information I need, it is not editable . There are several contracts and each contract has a list of projects.

We have marketing, sales, customer care, projects, legal, finance , accounts , admin, HR and many stake holders for each department and also management team who would like to know the daily/real time, fortnightly reports from every departments and from every branch office like region wise and all put together i,e  consolidated report and finally COO/CEO/CFO and MD get the numbers report,  though we have multiple systems like for sales and marketing SFDC and for some entry level ERP and few departments are operating with spreadsheets, we are looking for the solution where reports and associated data mainly reports from many systems like SFDC, ERP and spreadsheet all the reports of these are hosted in some location and by using some solution and create the reports and accessible to the stakeholders, please let me know for this process automation what solution would be a best while I understand we have to integrate applications/integrate with BI tool but this would take much longer time we are looking for some interim solution, at present we are using nextcloud for file share and sync can we ask users to palce their final versions of data in the folders and then use a solution like share point /ms access/Microsoft SQL server to achieve this process automation and reports for all the stake holders , not sure if sharepoint would be the solution, can you please suggest software solution for this so that we can go for that and search for software person skilled on …

I'm upgrading from an older (5.1) version of Jasper Reports in my java project.  I've re-compiled a report in the new Tibco Reports Designer.  When I try to run it, or any other report, I get no output.  I downloaded and compiled the jasperreports 6.0.2 source and am using it for debugging the problem. screen shot of last executed statement  I've included a screen shot of the last statement that tries to execute.  It's line 823 in JasperCompileManager in function getCompiler.

This is a working app and I believe I've updated all the required libraries.

I don't catch any exceptions (at least not any I'm expecting) and the program returns to my finally statement after trying to run the jasper report.  The only other thing I can add is that if I hover over the JRCompiler  item in the previous sentence it says, JRCompiler is not a known variable in the current context.  Not sure if that helps.  It also doesn't hit the catch (Exception e) statement it just fails.  Not sure how to progress from here.

We use Skype for Business and it's in the O365 portal.  Our Exchange server is on-prem and our AD is on-prem.  All we use the cloud for is the S4B licenses.

We are noticing that some users don't have pictures and some do.  It's random, and, they use to have pictures.  It's odd and I've been tasked with trying to find out why random users don't have pics.

For the most part, users upload their pics thru OWA and that's worked fine.  

Does anyone know where I would start to troubleshoot this issue?  Do I start in the cloud?  On-prem?  Outlook?  AD?

Just looking for a good starting point from someone who has seen this before.

I have one user of 35 that the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook is disabled. It will not re-enable. (Outlook, Tools, Trust Center, Add-ins, COM add in) All other users are working find. If I have the user log onto a different computer (roaming profile) the problem follows her so it is not anything about the computer or installation, it is something in her profile.

Has any one experienced this and knows of a fix?

Can I just delete her Outlook profile and rebuild that, or do I have to delete her user profile and rebuild that?
