I have a test 2 node rac cluster using asm with omf enabled for storage with ocfs2 as my cluster config.

The problem I am having is I can start node1 up no problems but when I start up node 2 I get the error
ora-15124: ASM file name '+DATA/ifsl_rac/controlfile/current.1082.917777031. +DATA/ifsl_rac/controlfile/current.1007.917777371' contains an invalid alias name

my pfile points to the spfile exactly like it does in node1 so I cannot understand why this is trying to use this. Plus the controlfiles are not named like this. If I create a pfile and use that to open the instance it opens no problems.

Just to add I have restored this database and previously the controlfiles where named as above but they have been removed.

I cannot see where node2 is picking up this config from.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello Experts,

 We are looking to manage our software licenses that we have purchased so that we know things like how many we have, which computers or servers or users they are assigned to, which are currently unassigned.

I'm not interested in scanning every computer,server or devices in the network. I already know what licenses we have. Our method of managing these licenses is just inelegant and inconsistent.

I want to manually add software licenses.

I will not mind to maintain an excel sheet to keep track of everything, if anyone can share a template that they use will be very helpful

I use GoldMine Premium Edition Version 2014.1.0.489, connected to an SQL Server database.
Earlier today, it locked up while sending an email and I was forced to kill it with Task Manager.
Now, when I attempt to log in as normal, I receive this error message:
"The maximum licensed number of users are currently logged into Goldmine" - which is a nonsense because this is a single-user licence running on a desktop PC - I am the only user!
Rebooting the computer did not help.

Hi,

I have installed the above to test with a view to use it to encrypt a couple of shared folders on a file server. Installed and configured okay, hooked up to AD and syncing fine.  Policy and groups set up.  Problem is, when I download the desktop client from the server and install it on my workstation to test a couple of demo shares it just kills my machine!  Only way to breathe life back into it is to perform a system restore?  Has anyone else who has used this product come across this and any suggestions for a resolution?

We have a ERP application reminding us by email before the renewal of any license

  I am trying  integration  to SAP PM from a  product I work with .   I have only browsed information on SAP PM.
   In SAP PM, is there a unique (and a  mandatory field)  identification for the plant items ? -   I am interested only items like Equipments,Instruments,Pipelines  which will appear in CAD drawings  ( I can see functional location is more like a bulding # or floor#) . Is there an AssetNumber in SAP PM for all the components?

Also, I can see something called Equipment master? Is everything an equipment in SAP PM.  For example, if there is a control valve(which is actually an Instrument in engineering terms) also called Equipment?

Hello, have Win7 64 bit PC's and using Act 2012. I think there may be a issues with running this version on Windows 7. One of the main databases they use randomly stops being shared and forces you to go to file open/share on the hosting PC and click the share button again.

Is there any way to write a simple script so that when the PC is rebooted or the user clicks on the script it will automatically share the main DB they use?

Does anyone know if there is another reason a DB would randomly become unshared? I have done a restore of the database and tried several other things online to try and fix it but it still unshares for some reason and prevents users from accessing it.

I've been part of a BusinessObjects team for about a year, having never been involved in BO before. But I have been doing IT systems for a good long while, with particular emphasis / expertise in writing awesome SQL statements . . .

I finally was able to produce some data points in regards to report usage, in contrast to online screen transactions. This is your classic (higher education) transaction system, with data-entry screens, canned reports, and ad-hoc reporting via BusinessObjects Web Intelligence.

So here is the data -

So the raw observation is that reports, both standard and ad-hoc, are hardly used. What do you make of this ? I realize there are many factors involved, but does this strike you as way too lopsided, or what ?

Dear Experts

I would like understand does any of the CRM applications will "snapshot" of the status of all the Leads on a daily basis of each of the sales user, yes, I am aware of daily reports scheduling but does any CRM application has a provision/functionality  such that we can fetch this as a report or in any other form.  It important for us to know on any given day what was the lead status, this will enable us to understand users efforts on that particular day, now that what is happening is over the period of days lead status changes but we are limited to know only on day to day basis  please suggest ,our requirement is to know the lead status of every day of sales user on any particular back dated, please suggest is this a functionality of CRM and name the CRM products that supports this or do let us know none does this. and how can we get this please suggest. thanks in advance.

There are a few network-friendly features in Windows 10 Enterprise that the Pro version doesn't have.  I've been surprised though that I haven't been able to find out what it costs to upgrade from Pro to Enterprise.  Can anyone here answer this question?

I am working as an AVP-IT but I also sold the idea of marketing automation, sales force automation and customer support I have been given an opportunity to implement the CRM application and also deployed call centre and integration with crm application for inbound and outbound also advanced marketing automation software act-on for lead nurturing,  these all are not only my initiative instead I have successfully implemented and drive though the adoption.this is as a corporate growth strategy  centralising the multi-branch process though the technology business applications .  I have put forward the promotion I do not know what designation I fit in , can you please suggest me, can I ask for all the following
1. VP  IT Operations
2. Internal Digital marketing technology support
3. marketing and salesforce automation support
The reason I am asking all these designation is while in the process of driving or enabling some functional heads bringing the resistance mentioning that Iam IT person,this designation from the management might and announcement from HR will avoid conflicts is what I think, please suggest also please correct the above listed designations to best suit

We have added some new fields to a Quote and now when I add them to my report, the new fields (plus an existing field) do not appear.

I am going to the Query Designer, adding the fields, refreshing fields, basically the same process I have been following.  I am using an expression in a text box that looks like this: =Fields!salesmanemail.Value & vbcrlf & Fields!salesmanphone.Value and neither field's content appears on the report.

I have checked visibility, any hide conditions, allow height increase, created a new text box in the report, nothing seems to make the new fields appear

Any advice would be appreciated.

There are two parts to this question regarding our instance of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 on-prem.

1- What is the best way to run a workflow or make a change to large numbers of records?

In the past we would run workflows on 1000 records at a time by manually changing the view limit in SQL. The recent upgrade to 2015 has resulted in that work around no longer working. This means I would need to run the workflows on 250 records at a time. When we are talking 20,000-50,000 records this become prohibitive. These are not workflows that can be designed based on on-change events on the form as many time they are changes to employees territory or other unpredictable changes.

2- One solution that has been theorized is to create a field in the team record called update pending. Have a  workflow that runs on all records(started on create) and waits for that field to be yes, then runs a child workflow,  and waits a few days before restarting itself. There would be a few other caveats to reduce usage on old records, prevent the workflow running more then once on a record for each job, and ensure it did not re-run continuously. The theory is that each record would look up to the owning team and wait for that pending update to change yes then run child workflow. That workflow could be changed to run any child workflow that could be configured to do whatever is needed. This would allow us to run a workflow on all records by configuring the workflow and then setting pending update…

What was the logic of SAP buying Sybase for $5.8 billion when SAP was building SAP HANA from the grounds up as a contender for all other databases especially Oracle and Sql Server.

It would have been much cheaper to hire talent and build SAP HANA from the grounds up than having to acquire Sybase and build HANA side by side.

What is the roadmap for Sybase. Will HANA take over Sybase?

This is the old version of SAP (Possibly R1 or R2 from the late 70's) running on a mainframe with SAG-ADABAS and not the modern R2 with 20,000+ tables.

Hi I have a Linux OMS with Linux targets attached and running with no issues, I'm trying to install the agent on Windows server targets so I can manage them from my OMS. I have followed the documentation and have installed the agent on a windows server but the agent service will not start, when I attempt to start it command line I get an error 1063, when starting it from the services window I get ERROR:1053
Any help would be appreciated.

1. to add number of lead with cost price , selling price with vendors proposed for each
to analyse report end of month or quarter, how much sold per vendor for each lead etc...

is suite crm perfect for this or any suggestions

We recently adopted Microsoft Dynamics AX for our ERP.  I have a user in our Accounts Payable department that would like to be able to use the functionality found at Accounts Payable/Journal/Invoice Journal/Journal Voucher/Functions/Breakdown of Voucher.  The user can see the function, but her buttons are grayed out.  What Roles, Duties or Permissions do I need to place on her User account to enable this functionality for her?  I have tried a myriad of roles and duties and nothing seems to make a difference.  

What roles are needed to enable the functionality of this area of her journal screen?

I'm hoping to get some help getting an Oracle Linux server agent cleaned out, the scenario is , I setup an Oracle OMS server and deployed the agent to a target. At some point the OMS was destroyed beyond repair so I was left with only one option to recreate a new OMS.
After doing so I'm unable to re-deploy the agent to the only target I had installed OMS target agent on using the dead OMS.
It is also important to know that I have removed as much as I could the old agent, the problem I need help with is that there are eminence of the old agent somewhere and I can't locate the file or service or something that tells OMS that there was an agent there, I shutdown the agent and attempted to remove it using emctl after I deleted the folder structure where the agent wad deployed.
I'm sure there is something somewhere else but I have no ides what or where, any help would be appreciated.
