We are building a custom business process and workflow in our product, with multi level request and approvals which will be highly customized based on the business needs of multiple clients. We are looking for a simple Java based workflow engine which is cost effective and easy to implement.

Also suggest if any of open source or proprietary engines can be integrated into our product seamlessly with minimum effort.

The business process that is initiated must be flexible, and must be able to meet changing business rules of the organization.

The business process must be able to decide between granting access immediately versus introducing manual intervention steps and seeking approval prior to granting access.

The business process must be able to perform validations, including Segregation of Duties (SoD) checks on what is being requested, by who, for whom, and in what context.

If manual intervention is required, then the business process must have the ability to assign to users or groups of users and escalate, reassign, or expire if no response is received in a timely manner.

For manual intervention, the business process must have the ability to gather information from the approvers, including comments and attachments.

The business process must be able to interact with external systems, such as ticketing systems, when automated access grants are not possible, or the organization's rules require that access is granted manually.

I am trying to setup a default tile arrangement on a Windows 8.1 Enterprise laptop start menu that will apply to all users that login.  The user accounts are Domain accounts that will login to this machine.  Is the best way to do this through GPMC on a Windows server?  I am deploying this laptop on a Window 2008 domain.  I have tried exporting and importing of the appsFolderLayout.bin with no success running it through Powershell on the local machine.  If this could be done through a Windows 2008 domain controller, what are the steps?

I am beginning to do SAP research and am a complete nube.   Please be patient with me.

I'd like to know if its possible to access information in SAP simply from a URL in the browser.

Lets say i wanted to lookup some information about a widget, and that information was in SAP.  Is there any way to create a URL with parameters (including the target widget's SKU) that would load an SAP web page with details about that widget?

Hello,

Request is for a design solution that can be applied to a number of processes.

Problem:
A Business organization want to use another organization's processes to run their institution. The latter's processes have unique literals specific to the organization.  The programmer is being asked to do a mass retrofit of all object's containing literals specific to the one's organizations.

For those with PeopleSoft experience -- the objects below will be familiar to you.

First part of the plan:  Find the literal
1. SQR Objects (like database scripts) -- use perl to extract the literal references in batch
2. Component Interfaces - use component interface to access fields stored on pages or in events (not sure about app packages but we don't have many of the latter)
3. App Engines - use the PeopleSoft metasql to search out the literal

Second part: Replace with a variable
1. sqr programs --- I could use a LOAD LOOKUP
2. Component Interface --- need to understand a bit more
3. App Engine programs -- Update sql steps  -- need to examine more.

Third Part: Reference the variable that contains the literal >>>>>>Stuk at the moment <<<<<<<<.  What would be the most efficient way of accessing this.
ie Run Control page where you populate each time???? Reference Table.

Note : The organization will have there own separate database but use the same 'retrofitted' programs.

This is just some of the brainstorming I am beginning to do.  Any …

Hello,

In Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 14.0, a user could merge two items and combine their history, details, etc.

Is there a way to merge two items in GP 2015? For example, I have two items: BAG7 and BACKPACK7. The two items aforementioned are actually identical. I want their history and anywhere else their details may appear, to only appear as BACKPACK7 (BAG7 would cease to exist).

Heyas,

I have just been hired to replace an access database with a SQL database, reporting to be done in SSRS. The company in question manufactures hydraulics everything from individual components to complete pieces of equipment. They have an issue they would like me to resolve on top of the migration for years they have problems getting their pricing to work correctly. The access database has thousands (9000 approx) of formulas in a pricing/markup table which is called anytime their ERP program needs to be apply pricing/markup costs for a particular components or entire pieces of equipment being manufactured. A BOM (Build of Materials) team is regularly updating price lists for the manufacturing team so price comparison won't work.  The issue is that formulas aren't always applied to correctly (normally they aren't applied when they should) due logic flaws in the legacy ERP system. The company wants to try find a way to flag a formula that perhaps isn't being utilized as often as it should. The legacy system in questions is due for an update when they have cash and the business stomach for it.

My idea:
1. Group every formula to into an individual component and/or pieces of equipment as soundly/tightly as possible. Then every time the formula is called it's counted and stored in a separate table. Then at the end of the month one could tally the amount of components/equipment being manufactured and the amount of formula calls doing a statistical analysis on that.

What I'm looking for is some sort of platform whereby students have their own user area which is password protected but a teacher can easily dump stuff into or collect from it.
I'm looking at this from the perspective of medical forms which will have sensitive information that parents may need to change from time to time- equally a teacher wanting to run a trip just wants to access the relevant forms at the click of a box.
Does anyone know of any software available to students that can do this?

We have deployed a single Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual machine and installed Dynamics CRM 2013 on with all roles enabled.
There is a Citrix Netscaler (load balancer) directing traffic on port 80/443 from the external WAN interface to the server. Everything seems to work just fine. The only exception is.

-iPad and iPhone CRM app loads a white screen after logging into the CRM application.
-Mobile and Web version load just fine externally.
-Outlook Plug-in fails to detect CRM over the specificed url provided.

I have updated to the latest version of 2015 SP1 (Feb 2015 Release) and I am still having the same issue. Any assistance would be appreciated.

To move revenue data between SAP and MS sql I have been using IBM's Cast Iron product. It's
fairly expensive just for the maintenance. I wondered what other folks use for this process and
if they know how it compares price-wise to Cast Iron. In the end setting up the orchestrations
can be fairly involved. So perhaps I just need to stay with what I have. But wanted to ping the
experts. Thanks!

Hi Experts,
Am using SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence. At present am using Report Date as Manual Prompt. here Report Date format as YYYYMMDD , I would like to consider the (today's date -1) has to go as a parameter. we have the Report Date object which has the values till 20161231. But when ever I run the report it has to take only today's date -1 in this format (YYYYMMDD).Back end is MS SQL Server.

I have tried many possibilities, but didn't work.

Thank you.

As the title says, I'm looking for an opensource, ERP system with a built in CRM module that is based on PHP.

I've checked out a few sites and can only find one solution that even comes close (dolibarr.org).

Just looking for some options.

We are a very small business with a home grown business system based on very unique tool set call FilePro and a hodge-podge of tools in excel and access.  We'd like to move to something that is more standard and customizable, and do not see a full-blown out of the box ERP as feasible for us.  The current thought is to find an Access based small business ERP with open source that we can fit to our unique business.  Does anybody know of or have experience with a package or database template like I'm describing?

We are working on upgrading to AX 2012 from AX 4, and are noticing there does not seem to be a way to cascade permissions down a module.  Did Microsoft take this helpful capability away?  Or are we missing something here.

thanks

2 charges hit one vendor and it was the wrong vendor.  I need to move those charges to 2 different vendors. How can I do this.

For example:  V12345 was hit with $100,000. $35000 and $65000 make up the $100,000. These two amounts need to be transferred to V000001 and V000002.
