We are proud of our community for giving back after this year's devastating hurricanes. Our experts donated a total of $3,000 to Heart to Heart International, where CompTIA will match our donation 2:1. As a fellow tech company, we are happy to partner with CompTIA in these relief efforts and are thankful for the match.

If it originates from Private Message, go into your messages and use Report Abuse there (drop-down at top right).
If it is a marketing type of email without any action onsite, best to report to Customer Support - see https://www.experts-exchange.com/Expert_Testing/1063/Share-your-feedback-or-report-a-bug-on-Experts-Exchange.html for details.

Thanks Qlemo.

The member contacted me at support around the same time they mentioned this.  They were able to report the message.

Good morning, everyone!

I just wanted to make sure that my EE pals had the right information to stay ahead of the Equifax breach (below is the article the FTC wrote on the subject).

First, know that there is a good chance you're a part of the fiasco, and if you don't have credit monitoring already, you'll need to get some immediately (Equifax is providing it for free). Second, to get the credit monitoring, you'll have to go to Equifax's website and click on the "Potential Impact" tab. Once you've done that, just give them the last six digits of your SSN, and you'll find out in seconds whether or not you're a part of this breach. Lastly, if this incident impacts you, Equifax will give you a page to input your credentials for the free credit monitoring.

That's it! Stay safe everyone and take care.

Patch Tuesday Sept 12, 2017 was another abject failure on the part of Microsoft.

Microsoft Edge (their pride and joy) blew up and barely runs without "I stopped working" errors.

And EE staff apparently do not use Edge because it is even worse on EE.

We only have about 3.4% of visits using Edge, but we do still keep it as part of our cross-browser testing. If they put out a broken update though, then there's not much we can do about that.

Sounds like it's working better for you now though, I hope?

There were some further updates yesterday and today and Edge reliability has increased. Fingers crossed.

Its so often helpful when someone sends a screen shot of the problem they're experiencing with the website. It helps me to understand the problem they're trying to solve and enables me to help them faster.

Its even more helpful when they provide the steps they did so I can reproduce the issue.

Agreed! A picture paints a thousand words. And in some cases, video is even better (but certainly a bit trickier to make.) I remember one time you filed a bug with a video demonstrating it, and that was hugely helpful for us understanding what it was—since it was difficult to describe in words.

Haha, yeah I remember.  I asked a question on the site here to find out which program I should use to do that! :)

I donated some shirts, thanks.  I also sent a package to Houston yesterday.  People have lost their homes, cars, pictures, jobs, businesses, and more. Animals need help too. Some of my friends who are there are getting crews together and helping others clean up. Now Irma is kicking up and enormous -- pray for the safety of those in her path.

Too much water from the hurricanes, and not enough to stop the wild fires to the west.

Is it possible to have a place where people with different age range will hang together?

It sounds funny, and I think Kyle can also attest to it, but Pokemon Go achieves this. I've done raids that have included elementary aged kids and retirees. I've seen a lot of stories about children playing with their parents and grandparents and rejuvenating their relationships. The key to achieving this balance could be giving the users something on which to focus besides their own social lives. A 16 year old's social interests most likely won't align with a 30 year old's interests, but creating a common goal that interests people of any age can bring their worlds together.

If you're an app developer (iOS or Android) and want to add facial recognition to your app for free, then you may want to take a peek at ZoOm. Maybe Experts Exchange will add it to their nifty little app.

Side note: You won't be able to use it to replace the fingerprint reader on your iPhone. I too was excited by the prospect of swapping one biometric for another, but sadly it doesn't have that function.

Interesting... I've seen the rumors that Apple is already planning for the iPhone 8 to use facial recognition for unlocking the phone. Wonder if they'll expose that in their dev APIs for other apps to use and how that'll affect FaceTek.
