Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

           Apparently, my Facebook account has been compromised or hacked because several of my friends have informed me of receiving friend request.  At this point, what should I do next to help protect my Facebook account from further hacking?

            Thank you

Hello Experts,

I'm trying to search businesses in LinkedIN with the following search criteria:

cloud architects london

However, the search only lists 8 companies, but there is clearly more than 8 companies.

Can someone let me know why I'm not seeing the full list of companies?

Cheers

Carlton

Yikes, I wouldn't want to have to try and moderate that content!

I post, daily, by scheduling, on my Facebook page.  Each post includes a graphic for the theme of the post (i.e., "Sunday Showstoppers"), and, frequently, a link to a YouTube video or an item on Amazon.com, or a link to another website.  How do I get the photo AND the link to show up in my post without adding either/or as a comment AFTER the post?  Is there a way to have the graphic for the theme within the text of the post and then the link as the added image/video/link?

OR, if I create 2 separate posts, is there a way to link them to each other so one always appears after the other? (I'm guessing I could do all of this on my webpage than just create a link to my webpage, but I'm trying to do it in Facebook.)

I'd appreciate your advice!

The right side arrow leads to many of them. I clicked on "hide" yesterday and it is back today. How to stop that one specific notification?
Which is not a notification but some way that FB tries to create friends for people = nuisance.

I think they are considering "Tech"  companies when business happens on the internet. It greatly reduces the concept of tech companies and technology.
Technology
1. The branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.
2. the application of this knowledge for practical ends.
3.the terminology of an art, science, etc.; technical nomenclature.
4.a scientific or industrial process, invention, method, or the like.
5.the sum of the ways in which social groups provide themselves with the material objects of their civilization.

I would consider those "tech" companies more related to Innovation, VAS Companies

I agree, it's a fine line as to what you consider a tech company or not.

If VZW is not a tech company, then Apple shouldn't be.  They had about 66% of the sales from iPhone. Only 10% of sales were from Mac.  What about Visa?  That may not be consumer tech, but it is a the backbone for credit card transactions. Before there was a public world wide web, there was visanet.

Hi,

I'm trying to add someone as a Facebook friend, but on this person's profile, the ADD FRIEND button is missing.
Add Friend Missing
There is also an option that says: "If you know ______, send her a message."  This person is not currently a FB friend. (I know of her b/c she "liked" a post in a group to which we both belong.

Any idea why ADD FRIEND would be missing? Is that an option a user can disable?

Thanks,
Steve

I subscribe to Spotify Premium service for about $10.00 a month. I am unable to logon. It does not like my email in spite of them sending me several emails every month. They elude to the possibility that I might be using my  Facebook logon. What I wish to accomplish is to give Spotify a dedicated new email ONLY for them. I cannot find any way of contacting them because their available "fill in the forms" are not appropriate for what I wish to do. It seems impossible to find ANY phone number for this company. I cannot even locate a regular email for them. I am willing to provide ANY verification that they might require if I only could find a method to convey this to them. In my not so humble opinion they have taken customer service by forms TOO far. Does any Expert have an email for them?  If they are in any way using my facebook login I wish to discontinue that and use only a new email between Spotify and myself. I have spent several hours on trying to figure this out which is crazy especially in view that I am a paying customer. Any suggestions would be welcome for sure.

I have one Facebook account and would like to talk with someone via chat who knows about how to properly configure Facebook, so that it can be used for professional, personal, as well as to sell products.

I currently have this page https://www.facebook.com/ted.penner.7 that is supposed to be my professional Facebook presence and people, even "friends" complain that they can't see anything at all.

1. I would like to be able to have a professional view as the default available at that URL to all the public.

2. I would also like to promote a video designed to sell a product from my website to a Facebook audience that cannot see any of my personal contacts such as so-called "friends" or "acquaintances".

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Dear Guys, we are having this issue: After moved to a new seat, an user's PC could not access only some domestic websites, she still could access to foreign sites, such as yahoo, facebook, gmail... Anyone can suggest a solution, please?

I tested and these are some results:
- Plug in a laptop in that PC's place, it CAN access Internet normally
- Bring that PC to other places, it CAN access Internet normally
- We checked in the Router and Switches but there is no sticky command matched with PC's MAC address
- There is no ACL involved in permit/deny traffic
- 2 users stayed here before but they COULD access Internet normally
- We scanned virus, reinstall PC but could not help

Here I come again with this question on how to achieve dynamic content loading when user scroll to the bottom of the page. Currently, my code is loading all the content from the db at once using ajax, but I don't want to load everything at once. I want it to load just like twitter or facebook. Below is my code and what I've been trying to do.

HTML
<html>
<head>
<script>
function yHandler() {
    var wrap = document.getElementById('homeFeed');
    var contentHeight = wrap.offsetHeight;
    var yOffset = window.pageYOffset;
    var y = yOffset + window.innerHeight;
    if (y >= contentHeight) {
        // Ajax call to get more dynamic data goes here, how do I integrate the ajax call here?
    }
}
window.onscroll = yHandler;

function feed() {
    var xhttp;
    if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {
        // code for modern browsers
        xhttp = new XMLHttpRequest();
    } else {
        // code for IE6, IE5
        xhttp = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
    }
    xhttp.onreadystatechange = function(response) {
        if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) {
            document.getElementById("homeFeed").innerHTML = this.response;
        }
    };
    xhttp.open("GET", "functions/feedUpdate_New.php", true);
    xhttp.send(null);
}
feed();
</script>
</head>
<body>
<div id="homeFeed"></div>
</body>
</html>

Open in new window

PHP - feedUpdate_New.php

<?php
include_once(db_connect.php);
$sql = "SELECT message, audio, firstname, lastname FROM once WHERE username='myname'";
$query = mysqli_query($db_connect, $sql);
    while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($query, MYSQLI_ASSOC)) {
                    $message = $row['message'];
                    $audio = $row['audio'];
                    $firstname = $row['firstname'];
                    $lastname = $row['lastname'];

echo '<div id="parentContainer">';
      echo $message.'<br />';
      echo $firstname.''.$lastname;
echo '</div>';
}
?>

Open in new window

I have more than 1000 lines returned from my database query back to the ajax call. But I want to use the
function yHandler()

Open in new window

to achieve the dynamic loading, but I'm not just getting how to integrate the ajax call inside my
function feed()

Open in new window

into the yHandler to get the dynamic loading working.
Do I need to add LIMIT into my sql statement? Or is there any other way to get this done?

Is there a piece of code I can put in a href which when you click the link shares the page in facebook or twitter?

I know you can use:

<a href="http://twitter.com/share?url=<URL>&text=<TEXT>via=<USERNAME>"><img src="tw-circle.png" border="0" height="36" width="36"></a>

But I want it to know the page it is on as it is for a page template.

Thanks,

I have a youtube video with a pitch for a subscription service.

I plan to get some assistance in promoting the service and want to find a way to tie the link being passed around by each individual salesperson, back to that individual so that I know what commission to pay them if those viewers become customers.

Assistance in figuring out how to do this is greatly appreciated.

I have a subscription $5 mo project management product and want to sell it on Facebook among other places.  I have put it on youtube and am curious what the best method is for selling it using Facebook and/or other tools?

I don't want to write too much about it here because I do not want to violate any rules or guidelines.

Assistance regarding potential selling methods is greatly appreciated.

If you reply to a posting on Facebook with a "Comment", is that comment visible only to people who are friends of the original poster or to ALL of your Facebook friends?

i tried to make a shortcut for the above by typing for the start http://facebook.com
then i downloaded the icon from iconsearch

and had a nice shortcut - that worked ;; however after a reboot it did not work any more, and got the error : application  not found
also, i could not pin the shortcut to the taskbar, by drawing it there (which worked fine for another program, eg CDburnerXP)
it showed attaching to chrome, or IE

questions :
is what i ask possible?
what did i do wrong?
is it the same for windows 10 ?
this was on windows 7 system, tried on 32 bit and 64 bit; same behaviour

Here's the TL;DR version.
"Net neutrality is a longstanding digital principle that internet service providers should treat all web traffic equally and fairly. This means providers cannot prefer one website or service over the other by granting unequal loading speeds or by blocking or slowing content."
Basically, this gives an internet service provider (ISP) the ability to purposefully slow down Netflix or Facebook if it wants to. "Netflix won’t disclose its Day of Action plans but says it will be “noticeable” for its users."
Sounds like they might be inclined to give its audience a taste of what this could be like?

Experts Exchange is on the list with Google, Facebook, Amazon, Netflix and so many more.

Hello Experts,

Can someone please let me know if its possible to only have certain people view your past experience details in LinkedIn?

I know I can change my privacy settings to not publicly show my 'Past Experience' details as shown in the attached image. However, is possible to also 'not' show 'Past Experience' details to only certain LinkedIn members.

Thanks

Carlton

P.S. I added 'Facebook' as the approved topic because LinkedIn is still in proposal state
