We have a user that created accounts in Tweeter, Facebook, Instagram. Linkedln and Pinterest some time ago but never used it.  Just this week the user wants to start but noticed that wants to change each tags (or reference name like @sample_name) per apps, and the email used to create it.

What's the best way to go about it?

Best settings for iMovie Export to MP4

I will use a video on Facebook as a sponsored advertisement but have no idea of the best resolution to use.

I have lots of exporting of various clips to make and editing yet to come. So, large file size will be painful. Especially is was for nothing.

Given the background is a distant harbor, I think the best resolution possible, is best. But what should be my target for Facebook ads?

Thanks

Facebook Ad Question: Can I mention a politician by name?

I have not yet found the lost list of rules when placing a  Facebook Ad. Got that list?

Anyway, I hope I can have some fun on one ad where I compare a particular politician to a "moon bat."

Is that allowed? Or is it a violation?

And if it's not a violation, might it still get blocked if it upsets the person who grades the ads?

Thanks

As of yesterday, the red "badge" with a number that indicates new notifications in Facebook doesn't appear unless I refresh the page. This happens on both my home (Mac) computer and work (pc) one.

Another FB glitch that will or won't fix itself? Or ia there something I can do to resolve the problem?

Thanks.

Hi, this is the code I have for my facebook pixel. Everything is working except the content_ids. I think I must be making a basic javascript error.

  <!-- BEGIN standard event code -->
  fbq('track', 'Purchase', {value: '<MIM>total</MIM>', currency: 'USD', content_type: 'product', content_ids: ['<MIM>sku</MIM>']});
  fbq('track', 'Order Number', {value: '<MIM>order_id</MIM>'});
  <!-- END standard event code -->

I've attached the whole pixel with our account xxxed out.

Posting a website URL in Facebook.

I am trying to post a URL from a website that I created in FaceBook and have done this many times with other sites. The link shows with a photo that relates to the story I am posting. When I post something from my OWN website, the link shows up with the logo that is at the top of the page. I would like the photo to show up that is positioned lower on that page.

Hi
I got this mail, out of nowhere, supposedly from LinkedIn, with a job offer on Facebook

It can't be for real, can it?
Can businesses comb the deserts of linked-in and send offers?
I won't respond, I'm not interested, also
What clues are there that it is fake?

How do I turn off Facebook notification 'You have a new friend suggestion" ?

I checked their support site.  Either they don't want me to know how to turn that off or there is no way to turn it off?

I went to Settings > Notifications.  Didn't find anything about that.  I tried hovering my cursor over the specific notification but my only option is to hide the notification.  I want to stop these notifications from happening.  There must have been a Facebook update or enhancement with this feature because I didn't used to get them in the past, but in the past few weeks I've been getting them way too often.

I guess if there is no way to turn it off I'll have to try disabling all notifications.

What are your thoughts, ideas, solutions?  Thank you.

If I post a link to my Wordpress blog post on Facebook it will pick up a photo tagged with the og:image tag. I would like to know what happens if I change the tag to a different photo (using Yoast). Will this also change photos on my existing Facebook posts or they will still show the photo that was current at the time of posting?

Hi,

 I have a facebook page. Today I asked a non-FB user to post a review on my page for me, but he said he could not because he did not have FB account.
 So the question is should he create a FB account in order to leave a review on my FB page?

Thanks.

I am in the process of syncing our company Facebook via a third party for a press release. I went into my Chrome settings to allow popups for this website so I could connect our Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. However, when I went to connect Facebook, I keep getting a pop-up window with the below error.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this so we can connect our Facebook account as a reference for the press release?

Thanks in advance!

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

         I have recently set up a Fiverr gig and wish to learn ways of promoting it freely which brings me to this upcoming question.  How can I share my Fiverr gig on Facebook?  I did notice if I click on the down arrow corresponding to my gig, I do see an option on the menu for Share.  When it is clicked, one of the options to share it on is Facebook.  All of this seems too simple which leads me to think there must be more to it.   At any rate, could someone provide their thoughts on sharing a Fiverr gig on Facebook?

         Thank you

If I tweet a link Twitter automatically picks a picture it embeds into that tweet. Is there some way to point out to Twitter (and perhaps also all the other social media sites Facebook, Instagram, ...) what picture to pick? Especially when you not integrate the typical set of social media buttons offering to post about the page, but if someone just posts a link to say a blog article? Is that perhaps simply the biggest picture detected to come from the same origin?

And if there is such a mechanism, can you even tell twitter to rather not display some picture, especially with a webpage not so well known and mostly textual, where the most prominent picture rather is a site logo only?

As one example I see links to Quora answers having pictures not even part of that answer as if there is some hidden tag or meta info as an official way to tell social media what picture to embed. If there is, how does this work generally? When something applies to Twitter, does it also apply to Twitter apps like HootSuite?

That's a bit fuzzy question, but I'd take any helpful hint on social media optimization. Is that a thing at all, aside from SEO?

Hi,

I am working on implementing some Facebook and Linked In Social Media buttons on my pages.

I am working on this page: https://kroweb.dk/gfdev/arkivalier/kirkeboeger2/

The problem is that both the Facebook buttons and the Linked In button are referring to the main domain - in this case https://kroweb.dk/gfdev/, and not to the specific page within that domain defined in the code.

I have this og: code in my header:
<meta property="og:type" content="website"/>
    <meta property="og:title" content="kroweb.dk/gfdev"/>
    <meta property="og:image" content="https://kroweb.dk/gfdev/fb_image3.png"/>
    <meta property="og:url" content="//kroweb.dk/gfdev/arkivalier/kirkeboeger2/"/>
    <meta property="og:description" content="kroweb.dk/gfdev"/>
    <meta property="og:site_name" content="kroweb.dk/gfdev"/>
    <meta property="fb:admins" content="https://www.facebook.com/peter.kroman1"/>

Open in new window

and this code for the buttons in the body:
<div id="fb-like" style="display: flex; justify-content: flex-end; margin-bottom: 5px; position: relative; top: 0px;" >

    <!-- Facebook Button: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ -->
    <div id="fb-root"></div>
    <script>(function(d, s, id) {
      var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
      if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
      js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
      js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1";
      fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);

Youtube, asking me to accept that ALL i look at and ALL my computer/IP and other information will be sold to third parties......
Google trying me to sell stuff, instead of giving me honest non-commercial search results.......
Facebook cookies, banners, advertisements and so on.......

How can I just browse over the internet and find what I am looking for WITHOUT being tracked, stored and sold to companies I dont like or know...

Is there a way to use a VPN connection (already have one) and a VM setup on a NAS in order to hide my computer specs and serial number etc, in order to just look on the internet without being haunted by datacollecters??

Kind regards to all!

Quickly getting sales for my in-person tours of Boston

I have a tour planned to provide an in-person view of some shocking discoveries I have revealed in my book. And I need to find quick ways to sell tickets.

Topics are very juicy... 9/11 and Boston architecture which heralded in the attacks, BEFORE 2001.

I would consider old-fashioned methods, like having someone hand out brochures in busy places. Advertising in publications, but that takes time to get established.

But I suspect the high-tech options are more scalable and cheaper.

I MAY use EventBrite to sell tickets since I want people to be able to buy tickets on their mobile devices, and really do not want ti reprograms my WordPress site, just to have a sub-optimal solution.

I will eventually need a FaceBook page, to help spread referrals. But I would consider prioritizing that Facebook page if that were to be the prime way to promote the tours.

What kinds of things should I consider when making my decision about how to promote and manage my tours?

Thanks

We have a client that wants to start getting involved in social network having presence in Tweeter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.  Not only posting its business “news” or “new product” but articles of interest that come upon on a daily bases or even re-post articules or contents from other business partners, etc.

Besides the fact the client wants to know what  is the best way to start, one concern is posting data.  That  is comments, pictures, etc.

We want to know how to go about posting an issue through all these social networks.

For example, we found an artificial intelligence topic interesting and wanted to post it.  We download the article, download some images, prepare it and posted to Facebook.  How do the user go about  to modify contents prior posting to all Tweeter Facebook LinkedIn Instagram Pinterest? Or is there a way that the user can creat a “template” and then post them to all?
