Mozilla Firefox is a free and open-source web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation. It is available for use on Windows, macOS, Linux, and BSD operating systems.

Looking for comments on the overall security of FireFox Send (send.firefox.com).  My understanding is that all of the security tasks regarding the file (encryption, link generation, decryption) take place on the client side.  However, also received some sage advice that what a provider 'says' and what they 'do' (federal FISA warrant) can be two different things.

I've done some basic searching online; have found some tutorials and an explanation by Mozilla on how the system works.  Really looking for some independent, third party vetting results.  I have looked on Git Hub, but didn't see anything that conclusively stated FF Send meets standard xxxxx or is xyz compliant, etc.

Is there any documentation out there verifying Mozilla's security claims and does anybody have any concerns with using this product when sharing PII (e.g. name, address, health status, income, etc)?
I know Microsoft O365 is going to force TLS 1.2 beginning In June 2020.  However, when we try to connect with Firefox TLS 1.2 -- it can't connect.  I assume it isn't enabled?  How do I insure TLS 1.2 is enabled for all O365 Services so that I can start switching everything?

Thanks in advance.
Can I prevent FF from displaying "A web page is slowing down your browser. What would you like to do?"

I would like to investigate the files choclatey uses before installing (via choco install) but don't want to buy the business version.
I can find the nupkg via https://chocolatey.org/api/v2/package/firefox/69.0. It downloads a Firefox.Nupkg
The file is also only few mb.

choco search firefox -exact --approved-only --detail gives some info but not the exact downloadlocation(s)
Choclatey must cache it somehwere, how can I find this so I can check? Also is there some guarantuee the files are safe (virusscanned/MD5?).
I'd need to install via Powershell, so would prefer an automated approach.

Whenever I download a file in Firefox the default is Open not Save and the "Do this automatically for files like this from now on" is grayed out, how can I fix that? Thanks
Failed to execute ‘postMessage’ on ‘DOMWindow’: The target origin provided (‘http://themagnolia.com’) does not match the recipient window’s origin (‘https://www.themagnolia.com’).  spam-block.htm

This client recently upgraded to FTP-SSL protocol. I have reviewed the files involved and I don't see where http://themagnolia.com is referenced.

Does anyone know how to isolate this error? I've attached the files that seem to be involved.
I have a Wordpress site on a LAMP Stack running in AWS. I have Let's Encrypt running to automatically update the TLS Certificate and I re-direct all traffic to the "www." instance for the purposes of SEO.

The site works as expected for EVERY browser EXCEPT Safari. What I mean is that I've tried Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi and Internet Explorer. I made not changes to the Server itself and I'm a little perplexed as to what happened. Below is a screenshot from some testing I was doing using BrowserStack. This seems to be happening on all Safari browsers back to iOS7.

Any idea what's going on here? Is this fixable from my end?

I am working on C# MVC application.

I have payment integrated in my website. For payments, we call payment url which is loaded in iFrame.
We have no control on the form which opens in iFrame, as it captures credit card details.

Now, once user does the payment by clicking submit button in payment form, which (submit form) is in iFrame.

After successful/unsuccessful transaction we are receiving response in handler page.

After getting response in handler page we are losing session of our web application.

It works well in chrome but does not work in IE, Firefox.

What we should do so that we should not loose our session once the redirect happen.

Also, we see Chrome has same id before and after confirmation done.

But other browser gives us different session id's when returns from payment page.

Please advise the solution.

I have below configuration in my web.config already.
<httpCookies httpOnlyCookies="true" requireSSL="false" />
Hi! I have a user who is having the attached error when trying to open an Excel file directly from a web page when using Firefox. When saving to a specific folder and opening the file from there everything works fine. Anyone have any ideas? It's Excel in Office 365 on Windows 10 Pro.

powershell IE or Firefox open in fullscreen mode.

I am trying to open up a process of IE or Firefox to a specific webpage in full screen mode. when I say full screen I mean the f11 no banners showing. not just windows maximised.

the start-process command is easy to use but I cant figure out how to get it into this full screen mode. the easiest way of doing this in my eyes is using the -K Kiosk option available.

if I run the following cmd from Run it opens as expected: iexplore.exe -K https://www.google.com

how do I achieve the same in powershell?

is it possible to just invoke F11 button and press full screen? as Kiosk mode doesn't allow you to anything but 'close' the session. either solution will work for me.

if a better suggestion is available in Firefox I am open to this as well.

Is there way to get this result in Powershell?
$FirefoxVersionCVE then also get its real cve score (now it lists all kinds of cve scores for that firefox
Given the turf wars between Firefox and Google over how they handle and display "secure" web sites, are EV SSL Certificates of any value any more?

To the general public user that is; I know the CAs think they are of value!

The green bar of IE was nice in its day but that has long gone. A LetsEncrypt certificate site looks pretty much the same as an EV certificate site now to all intents and purposes. I mean, how many users are actually checking this - real world users that is, not us.

And are there any policies enforcable by anything that would prevent accessing a NON-EV certificated site?
We have a bit of jquery to hide/show a div based on the answer provided in a question.  The show portion if the value is over 103000 doesn't work in Edge but does is Firefox and Chrome.  I added the window alert just to see if the stupid thing was even triggering.  It does if I delete the value - it will do the alert and hide the div but if I change something that was 109000 and make it less, it doesn't trigger the hide or the windows alert.  All of this works in Firefox and Chrome.  There is nothing in the troubleshooting that would indicate there is a problem.

 $('#FI_AGI').change(function() {
        if ($('#FI_AGI').val()>103000)  {
		else {

I am running Windows Server 2016 and I'd like to disable Internet Explorer on a server that a handful of "non technical" folks use.

The purpose of this is to attempt to get them to use Firefox instead.

Is it possible to Uninstall or Remove Internet Explorer altogether?

I downloaded some zip files and this is the result I have (See graphic).

Why is the PART not inside of the ZIP?  or this the way its supposed to be? I'm perplexed.
Firefox 70.0.1 in Windows 7.

My Bookmarks (Bookmarks menu > Show all bookmarks) is laid out as:

All Bookmarks
        Bookmarks Toolbar
        Bookmarks Menu
        Other Bookmarks

I save my bookmarks in separate folders I create under the "Bookmarks Menu".

When I used to bookmark a page using the option "Bookmarks" menu > "Bookmark this page" I was shown a dialog where I could choose an existing folder for the new bookmark or could create a new folder in which to save it.  At some point over the last 6 months or longer (I can't remember for certain) the bookmarks are saved automatically in the "Other Bookmarks" folder and all I see up at the Firefox hamburger icon is a green "Saved to Library" notification.

I cannot find any settings in the "Library" window (Show all bookmarks) or in Firefox "Options" to force that original dialog to show so that I can choose where to save each new bookmark.  Any ideas?
Where are my Firefox downloads??????
I downloaded a group of large files using Firefox but the browser didn't ask me where to store them.  the actual names of the files are convoluted and I don't remember their names.
And they're NOT in the downloads folder.
How can I find them.
When I asked to download them, all I got was this dialog box:

I would like add some trusted intranet sites to Firefox using  Group Policy. Is there something that would allow me to do that?
Firefox 69 uses way to much RAM on Microsoft RDS Server 2016.

I run a 70 station thin client wyse terminal farm using 4 Microsoft RDS server 2016 servers. This is a test center and I have been using Firefox in a Kiosk mode for years with no problems. Recently I was forced to upgrade from Firefox 62 to 69. Now I have "random" connections using upwards of 5 Gig for thier connection. After 2.5 to 3 gig the students start to complain about lag and any higher RAM than that produces a white screen or a crash.

I have tried the following attempts at resolving this:

1. Because Cache usage was my 1st thought I first tried to change the following Firefox settings:
        a. Browser.session.max total viewers = 1
        b. Browser.cache.memory.max_entry_size = 1280
        c. Browser.sessionhistory.max_entries = 5
        d. After the above did not work I tried - Browser.cache.memory.enable = FALSE

2. To try and squeeze a little more performance out of my RDS Farm servers I did the following (it is a closed environment and this was only to test performance):
        a. Moved the pagefile to a standalone 15K SAS drive dedicated just for the pagefile.
        b. Disabled Windows defender.
        C. Built a brand new stripped down Default Profile
        D. Even changed DEP (windows Data Execution Prevention) to "Windows Services Only".

3. Back to Firefox -
        a. Enabled (checked the check box) "Prevent Accesibility Services"
        b. Under General - …

None of the Internet browsers is able to launch

I have Windows 10 on my Laptop. Recently I am experiencing issue with Internet Browsers unable to launch (Chrome , FireFox, Internet Explorer).
Initially I thought downloading AVG anti Virus and Malwarebytes were the cause of this issue, but even after I have gone and removed them, the issue is still not resolved.
I tried to restore the system to previous versions, but I do not see a very old date.  the oldest version is 9/20/2019, I went ahead and restored the system to that date version, but it is still has not resolved the issue.

I do not have Windows 10 DVD, I remember it was a free upgrade from Windows 8.1 to 10.
I am not sure if there is a way to repair the OS.  I am writing this question from another computer as my laptop cannot launch any internet Browser.

Any Assistance will be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
We have a Sonicwall firewall and there are NAT working well.

Recently, we need to setup a new NAT (TCP: 19832) from external to our internal server. My setup is as below:

1. Copy other NAT rule, and allow the port, but no luck
2. telnet the port by internal network, it works
3. To setup NAT by tp-link, it works by telnet in external network
4. Change to another tcp port, not luck

I have double check the NAT and firewall rule, there is no hints on it.

Anyone has hints on it? Is there magic difference between TP-Link and Sonicwall NAT (port forwarding)?

I check on firewall, there is activity on hitting the NAT rule, but no traffic...
Hi, I have just noticed that when I try to make Firefox smaller by clicking on the center (square) type icon on the upper right, it just kind of re positions the full screen but does not make it smaller.  I tried it on Chrome and it worked just fine as well as Excel and Word.  I want to have an excel document take up the left half of the screen while I look stuff up in Firefox on the right side of the screen.  I've never run into this before and would appreciate your help.
How do I "unsynk" a laptop from Firefox?  I no longer want it sync to my Firefox settings.
