A font is a particular size, weight and style of a typeface. Each font is a matched set of type, one piece (called a "sort") for each glyph, and a typeface consists of a range of fonts that share an overall design. With the advent of digital typography, font is frequently synonymous with typeface, although the two terms do not necessarily mean the same thing. In particular, the use of "vector" or "outline" fonts means that different sizes of a typeface can be dynamically generated from one design. Each style may still be in a separate "font file" -- for instance, the typeface "Futura" may include the fonts "Futura roman", "Futura italic", "Futura bold" and "Futura extended" —- but the term "font" might be applied either to one of these alone or to the whole typeface.

I need to download the Code128Auto font. Can someone drop a link?

Using 22pt text for some work in Word & the font Perpetua.

The font is VERY readable.

But, the line height within paragraphs at 22pt is distracting.

With Single Line spacing selected in Word, tried even 21 point and it seemed to crush lots of lines together.

In addition to Single there are 1.5, Double, At Least, Exactly and Multiple.

What combination of Spacing variables should I apply to 22pt Perpetua text to bring the lines within paragraphs about 25% closer together?

Is it possible to have a Windows Form sent to a remoter computer?

This is the code that I was able to put together that show a form on my computer. I am trying to figure out how (if possible to send this to a remote computer:

Add-Type -AssemblyName System.Windows.Forms

$Form = New-Object system.Windows.Forms.Form

$Form.Text = "Reboot Message"

$Icon = [system.drawing.icon]::ExtractAssociatedIcon($PSHOME + "\powershell.exe")

$Form.Icon = $Icon

$Form.AutoSize = $True

$Form.AutoSizeMode = "GrowAndShrink"
    # or GrowOnly

#$Form.AutoScroll = $True

$Form.BackColor = "Red"
    # color names are static properties of System.Drawing.Color
    # you can also use ARGB values, such as "#FFFFEBCD"

#$Form.Opacity = 0.7
    # 1.0 is fully opaque; 0.0 is invisible

$Form.StartPosition = "CenterScreen"
    # CenterScreen, Manual, WindowsDefaultLocation, WindowsDefaultBounds, CenterParent

$Font = New-Object System.Drawing.Font("Times New Roman",24,[System.Drawing.FontStyle]::Italic)
    # Font styles are: Regular, Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikeout

$Form.Font = $Font

$Label = New-Object System.Windows.Forms.Label

$Label.Text = "Please reboot your computer at your earliest convenience, Thank you!"

$Label.AutoSize = $True

$Form.Controls.Add($Label)

$Form.ShowDialog()

TIA!

I use Word a LOT for collecting ideas, and then switch them over to PDF & use PDF X-Change Editor tools for extraction.

I usually start in Word because it is the most akin to what I grew up with - notes on paper, or even a typewriter.

Seems like most of the tools in Word for getting ideas on to the screen are based on some reflection of those two analog methodologies, writing or typing.

However, I realize that LOTS of Word's functions are more about PRINTING a page, rather than reading it / reviewing it later.

So, if I create a "notebook" of ideas, after a while using Word to look through them is pretty challenging.

Is there any program you think is best for being a kind of "spiral notebook in the back pocket"?  Or, even a 3-ring binder?  Where, creating the notes, the platform is designed so that the created pages are more for READING, rather than a  than a weigh-station for printing.

So that the pages can be READ, reviewed, even tabbed -  once an organization idea occurs.  Pages can snapped behind other pages, pages inserted later.  AND...that allows the TEXT to still be easily extracted / manipulated.

Looking for a program you've used in this same pursuit.  I'm guessing there are lots of programs that SAY they can do these things on the tin.  Are there any you have used that ACTUALLY achieve this?

Many thanks,

OT

Looking for easier-to-read fonts for my Note 8.  The fonts on the Samsung Store are $1.90 for me in the US.  Are there other ways to get fonts for my phone for less?

One of my employees has her fonts spontaneously change to Wingdings all over Filemaker.  This happens to her about 3x per week.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Filemaker, which helped for a while, but in about 2 weeks, she started having the same problem.  Ran a malware and nothing came up.

The rest of us have only experienced it about twice in a year and rebooting solves the problem.  Ever seen this?  Any suggestions?

Hi,

Can anyone give me a quick overview on how I can add Google Ads in WP, but also in general?

I know there a lot of plug ins, but can I filter out certain types of ads, like X-rated, and how do I get paid? Is it like monthly through PayPal?

Finally, can I add the Ads to a freshly-built site with no content.  I know the client will fill it up quickly. The website will be mostly in Macedonian using what I think its Unicode(?) characters (found under Language Settings --> Keyboards in most OSs), but some older content is using custom fonts that overwrite the Latin characters.

I'm having a problem when i merge two PDF documents.  The process that i run through is to open the first larger document and then from within Acrobat i run through the INSERT routine.  Once the insert is complete random words and characters are changed to garbage.  It looks similar to the wingdings font.  Some words are completely replaced while other words are only partially replaced with bad characters.  All of these words are written in English

I'm using a Windows 10 computer with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2015.006.30508

Is there a way to merge documents without the words/fonts becoming illegible?

I am struggling to replace my QuaySansBook/BookSC (Type 1 Font file QSBK._PFM) after being forced by Microsoft to upgrade my computer to Windows 10 (with Office 2010).

ALL my work (for the last 20 years) is in this font - but it is not recognised on this new system. I was advised to buy a new QuaySans - but even when I the new font up as the Default Font in 'normal' on my documents it is not changing the normal font on the page back to QuaySans. I end up with a MESS. The documents are showing in Times - and my careful layout is completely lost.

I have changed the Normal template to accommodate the new font but it does not work

Another question about drop cap.  I have written my novel and now I copied and pasted it into an Amazon KDP word template for 5.5 X 8.5 size.  This worked well but I cannot get drop cap to work.  No matter how I format the first letter of a chapter, the drop cap ends up aboe the chapter paragraph, half the letter that is drop capped cut off, or sometimes when I increase the font, below the sentence.  It is very odd. Not sure what the template (or may it is the indent that is set) is doing to the drop case working properly.

I am having problems with fonts which work with Windows 7 but do not work with Windows 10. The main problem seems to be that the font in question is called Quay Sans - regular, italics, medium and medium italic - shows up in Windows 10 as an Arial font. In Windows 7 the fonts work perfectly.
Any help would be welcomed.

I'm looking to setup Organization wide signatures, I have exchange online, office 365/2016 fat client running windows 10 clients.

From this article:  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/admin/setup/create-signatures-and-disclaimers?view=o365-worldwide

Is there a way to target only certain departments within my organization?

Is picking a custom font and option with Signatures?

Will setting up a disclaimer with this method append a signature to the fat client?

Thanks in advance

Aren't out of the box Styles in Word (2016) like

Heading 1
Heading 2
Heading 3

auto-updating in terms of font size?  They show themselves to be "Based on Normal"  But, I updated the Normal text size to 18.  Then, started using Heading 1 - it was just 16.  And, Heading 2 just 13.

I even went further and selected both of these with a check box "Auto Updating".

How can I get my Headings 1 ~ x default styles to update themselves in terms of Font Size in Word?

Thanks!

Hello
New Message is bold, the response is always superscripted.  these are both issues.

we cannot change the format via file > options > mail > stationary and fonts
settings do not modify or stay saved.  will prefer the old format over any changes made.
saved a new theme to stationary folder and chose the theme and still those preferences return.

how is this issue prevented?
