Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

I am interested in connecting a game console for playback of older classic 80's games (PacMan, Donkey Kong, Centipede, etc.) onto my VIZIO flat screen television (Models D32h-C1).  It does have 2 HDMI and 1 COMP input.  The COMP input is currently being used by a DVD player.  I have been looking at some nice ATARI 2600 gaming consoles with a variety of classic 80's games of interest on ebay. However, I am not sure how compatible these things will prove to be with my television set within the realm of playback quality.

Given what has been disclosed here, I am wondering if I might could get some suggestions or recommendations for gaming consoles which will play back older 80's classic games without technical issues.

Any submitted suggestions along with links to check out for review and evaluation will be greatly appreciated.

              Thank you

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am wondering how I can interface a 1980's retro game console with a VIZIO flat screen television
(Model D32h-C1)  The link to the classic or retro game is  for review.

Recently I used the Retropie emulation software for Raspberry Pi. It is a really cool software and is very handy and attractive. So, I was wondering whether I could replicate these softwares on sd cards, install them on pis and start selling them for some small scale business. I would like to know, if doing such a thing would be legal. Actually, there are quite few ideas about using pis as portable media centers, portable game consoles, a simple portable desktops or just a cheap monitoring cameras. It can be customized to the very end for users and can be an attention grabber in certain circles. But what would be my legal position and what, if any, licensing would it require to start such a business?

Thanks in advance.
Hello all,

This is exciting -- I have not used experts exchange in over a decade! Boy does it look completely different these days.

I have created a device which takes various Xbox controllers as input and allows the user to plug it into a Nintendo 64. I am using a Nucleo-F446RE to prototype this project.

It has been confirmed to work with wireless xbox 360 controllers, wired xbox one controllers, and off-brand wired xbox 360 controllers. However oddly enough, it will not work with a Microsoft brand xbox 360 wired controller!

Since it works with off-brand x360 wired controllers, I assume I have the protocol correct. The problem is likely very low level and beyond my knowledge level. I have access to a Saleae logic analyzer for aid in debugging. Is someone with good knowledge of the USB protocol and/or the wired xbox 360 controller able to aid in debugging?

What programming code does the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 1 use for games like NBA 2k, and Madden?
In one of my classes for school we have to come up with a business plan for a MMORPG that we are creating. One of the topics is programming. My game is two teams fighting against each other which includes interaction, guns, fighting, moving around, and a world that is a city with all the tall buildings destructed and on fire due to bombings. What kind of codes would be used to make this happen?
Hi Game programmers/ web / financial people who generally know about this kind of thing..

I saw an email for an opportunity to take online surveys and receive compensation.
Sounds too good to be true?

Anything that I have to provide credit card / banking information is a red flag consideration, right?

I am investigating cloud gaming as a future possible project for my company. Could you provide a few sites that currently provide such free or paid services? What I understand as cloud gaming is actually running any performance intensive game in the cloud so that it can be run on computer that do not meet even minimal system requirements for that game. I assume that it should use HTML5 rather than Adobe Flash. Also all other information on current state of Cloud gaming will be greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there is any API for Pokemon Go? I'm curious at least to know if any version of an API coming soon, it would be exciting to work on top of it.

My nephew's XBox external drive was accidentally partially deleted and now shows no games. There are files on the drive:

Which platform will run Battlefield 4 better (which will have better graphics)?

PS4 or an older laptop on lowest settings:

Laptop specs:
HP Pavilion dm4
Intel Core i5-2520M @ 2.5Ghz
6GB Ram
1GB Radeon HD 7400M
128GB Solid State drive

The laptop meets the min requirements of battlefield 4, but not sure what the lowest settings graphics will look on it.
I am having difficulty getting my Nintendo Wii U to connect to my Cisco 1841 router using the USB LAN adapter.  I have tried two different adapters and two different cables and both cables have full continuity.  With both adapters it indicates that the connection failed.

Error message states:  Unable to connect to a network device, such as a router or mode.

Some background information on the router, I have a Cisco 1841 router with two modules installed:
MODULE 1:  HWIC-AP-AG-A (802.11 a/b/g)
MODULE 2:  HWIC-4ESW (4-port switch)

Originally, I had the Wii U connected to the WIFI provided by Module 1 and it can connect to the Internet just fine.  However, if I connect it to Module 2 (switch) with the USB LAN adapter, it is unable to connect.

The WIFI from Module 1 has a DHCP pool of
The Switch from Module 1 has a DHCP pool of

Neither of the pools above are full.  I have an Xbox One connected to Module 2 (switch) and it is able to get an IP address and connect just fine.  I have also connected a laptop to the module 2 switch and it too connects just fine.  However, the Wii U is unable to get an IP and connect when connected to the Module 2 switch.  I have tried configuring a static IP and using a different port on the switch and that did not work either.  While the LAN adapter is connected, the switch does have a green light active on…
I'm looking for an online resource that lists the current McDonalds Monopoly game odds of winning.

For example I have collected the Marvin Gardens property and am wondering what the odds are for collecting the other two properties in this set. Also what are the odds of getting the Marvin Gardens property in this game?

I'm looking for information that pertains to the current McDonalds Monopoly game and odds of winning.
I am trying to program an MMRPG so it can be played on Xbox One and Play Station 4 and I do not know the coding. The game is an online interactive game, and multiple components will need to be connected via bluetooth to the game. Does anyone know how to program the drive in order to do this?
Hi Everyone,

In my house I have a Technika TV with an Xbox one, Virgin media box and a Openbox setup. The TV itself only has HDMI port so I've had to use an HDMI splitter to allow me to use the devices with no hassle. Currently the issue I have is when I attempt to Autoswitch from the Openbox to Xbox or Openbox to Virgin media it doesn't work I have to manually switch them over.

I have tried 2 different HDMI Splitters and I've tried different HDMI cables and the issue still persists :(

My son wants to buy a gaming laptop. I gave him a business grade Toshiba Laptop with i7 CPU, 12GB RAM, 1TB SATA HD, but whenever he runs these games such as League of Legends, counter strike, global offensive , h1z1 and dayz, my Toshiba laptops locks up, turn itself off (rarely), screen (video) updates slowly ... etc.
Then I learned that there are laptops specially designed for gamers and they are very expensive.
While looking thru different brands - DELL Alienware, MSI, ASUS, ACER and my favorite Toshiba.

I am comparing Toshiba Satellite S50-CST3GX2 Laptop against Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition VN7-592G-71ZL.
They both have i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD HD plus 1TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4 GB GDDR5 with ACER, 4GB DDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M with Toshiba.
Toshiba is $999 and ACER is $1,300

I am not familiar with gaming machines, but when comparing business grade laptops against gaming laptops, they are pretty much the same - CPU is CPU, HD is HD and RAM is RAM.
However it seems to be that these gaming laptops have additional part which is dedicated (embedded?) graphics card with 2GB - 4 GB.

I have been dealing with laptops Toshiba, HP, Dell, Lenovo laptops in the past for business use.
I can compare between them easily.
I just don't trust ACER or MSI or ASUS brands YET simply because they are new kids on the block "so to speak" in comparison to Toshiba, HP or DELL. But then Toshiba does not make a lot of gaming laptops either as much as I trust their …
So, I recently purchased this laptop and everything was fine until I started to see applications display in what I only guess to be a very very high resolution cause the menus, text, icons etc... inside the app are so small you need a magnifying glass to see them.
Here is what I have done so far with no success:
- Change resolutions to other than the native one
- Tried adjusting the icon and text sizes via the system and display options in windows 10.
- Went into the properties of each app's executable and checked the "disable display scaling on high DPS settings" and nothing.
- Change the compatibility settings other windows system and checked the "Run As Administrator" and nothing.

The 1st two above only made things worst, icons became too big or it only changed the icons on the desktop and text too. The individual applications didn't experience any changes.

Please any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated since as you can imagine, this is driving me crazy!!!!
Please see the attached images so you have better understating.

Laptop Specs:
Intel Core i7 6700HQ (2.60 GHz)
16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD 256 GB SSD NVIDIA

Do XBOX game on disk come with a download code ALSO, or do I have to pick EITHER disk OR download?

The point I'm trying to get at is, I'd like not to keep putting in the disk just to switch games. With downloaded games they do not
require a disk. I have a few games on disk now. Is there a way to "trade them" for the downloadable version to eliminate the disk?
I only have 2 HDMI ports on my TV. I have my XBOX ONE and my Cable box (Comcast/Xfinity). However, I also have an Apple TV as well.

I want to connect all 3.

I understand you can do HDMI pass-through via the XBOX ONE with your cable box. However, I don't want to watch TV on my XBOX. Is there a way to have my cable box (Comcast) just pass through my XBOX (Comcast Box-->XBOX-->TV) ?

It's hard to phrase the question how I mean it to be worded... So for example, if I want to play Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Xbox 360 version, but I want to play online multiplayer, can I use that disc in an Xbox One, but play online multiplayer with it?
I have been using some Linux scripts in order to re-partition a XBOX ONE 500GB internal hard drive. It is my original XBOX ONE HDD which became corrupted during a MS Update. I know the scripts work as many others have used them. I echo'd out to the display the START and END sectors for each partition and calculated the sizes manually and they are spot on. However after the script has run all the partitions are the wrong sizes. Four are smaller and the User Data partition is too large. I connected the HDD using a USB to SATA II cable. Do you think it could be because I am using a USB cable to perform this task rather than directly with a SATA II cable, or any other idea as to why the wrong partition sizes might be wrong? My laptop is being booted directly from a USB flash drive running Ubuntu from which I then run the script.

I'm aware this question has been asked before but my setup is a bit different.  I do have two Xbox consoles, one is 360 and the other is One.  They won't be played at the same time though.

So what I am looking for is guidance on how to configure the router firewall and/or NAT to ensure the Xbox Live ports are open.

In my setup, I have both consoles in the same VLAN which is labeled VLAN20 and will be connected to the 4port switch module so they will be plugged in ports fa0/1/0 and fa0/1/1.  This routes back to the main VLAN and out to the Internet.  I have just the default firewall rules applied that only has the customization of allowing DHCP and NTP traffic through since the router is Internet facing.

I have CLI and CCP access to the router and I have been told using CCP is the preferred method for configuring firewall.  My goal is to get open NAT for the Xbox consoles.  What is the best way to accomplish this?
I am trying to remember the name of an old mid 1990's computer app/game that usually came bundled with most new computer purchases back then running a 286 AT processor and probably a 20mb hdd ... LOL.

The app/game was very graphical for its time and kind of like a mechanical engineering program that contained tons of gadgets, wheels, shapes and various other components that you could build stuff with.  Almost like an electronic Lego.  Kids used to love this game and we were talking about it a few days ago.  I just can't seem to remember the name ... Any help will be appreciated.

This HP computer used to have Windows 7 and I upgraded it to Windows 10.
Then the user complained that Solitaire Heart games were no longer found, so I went to Microsoft website to download free Solitaire Heart games. In the process, the original user account called "Owner" has changed to My hotmail account (ex. JD simply because I used my hotmail account to download free Solitaire & Heart games.

Now on the login screen, I see JD instead of "Owner" account.
When I look at the C:\Users folder, I still see "Owner" folder.
When I look at User Profiles under System Properties, I see Owner-HP\Owner, but under Size column, it shows ?.
I like to know what did just occur and how can I get the account name "Owner" show up on login screen?
