Outlook 2010 - Gmail - IMAP

When I delete a item is does not show in the trash folder (trash folder is empty)
Hello all,

When sending from Gmail to my domain, I am getting this delayed delivery message from Gmail:

Final-Recipient: rfc822; username@mydomain.com
Action: delayed
Status: 4.7.0
Remote-MTA: dns; mailserver.mydomain.com. (<my mail server Public IP>, the server for the domain mydomain.com.)
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; TLS Negotiation failed: generic::failed_precondition: starttls error (0): protocol error
Last-Attempt-Date: Sat, 18 Feb 2017 23:22:22 -0800 (PST)
Will-Retry-Until: Mon, 20 Feb 2017 22:27:26 -0800 (PST)

I have verified SMTP with Microsoft's Test Connectivity Tool and mxtoolbox.com.  There are no errors.  We are receiving mail from all other domains (as far as I can tell).

The back story is that this Exchange 2013 server had been working well for 3 years.  We attempted to set up a hybrid Office 365 scenario on February 17.  After several hours troubleshooting mailflow from Exchange Online Protection to our mail server, we made the decision to revert the MX and SPF records back so mail flows directly to our on-premise server.  I would appreciate any help you can offer.
I have a customer who is using scan to email through Gsuite on their Xerox WC 5955's they have 64 of them, they are having problems with emails never arriving, arriving days or weeks later, the email they receive may contain the PDF attachments from some other user. When you scan to email the copier always reports  ( Complete ) and does not print a failure page. I can scan to my Gmail account and it always comes through within about a minute. Firmware on the Xerox machines has been updated to the latest versions, thought it may have been a corrupt addressbook on the machine recreated the addressbook still same problems. They have other scan to email devices on the network that they swear work flawlessly. The one thing that bothers me is that they use one special send from email account that is on all the copiers. I have tried the smtp.gmail.com and the aspmx.l.google.com setups still have the issue. The customer swears the Gsuite setup is not the problem but I am having my doubts. The next stop on this journey is smtp-relay setup in Gsuite to see if that remedy's the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.
I have set up about a dozen gmail accounts. For each of them I have added another account and set it as an alias. These accounts are of the format name@ourdomain.co.uk. In order to to send emails from these addresses I use smtp.gmail.com and gmail address and password and use TLS on port 587. In order for that to work I have to turn on "Access for less secure apps". The process requires me to enter a verification code that is sent to my gmail inbox.  I then set the name@ourdomain.co.uk as the default address to send mail from.  This has all worked perfectly well on all of the gmail accounts apart from one. Now I don't see why it would make a difference but this is the only account using IMAP. The others are using POP3. There was a problem sending email from an Outlook client - it was always sending mail from the gmail account on behalf of name@ourdomain.co.uk.  I resolved that problem by deleting the name@ourdomain.co.uk account in the gmail settings and adding it again.  Since doing that, however, I can no longer send emails from gmail webmail from the name@ourdomain.co.uk account. Instead, I receive a fail notification which says:
"You're sending this from another Google account using the 'Send mail as' feature. To send this message, please log in:" followed by a link to "My Account" settings page but it does require me to log in first.

What can I do?
Thank you
I have a person who has a gmail account connected to their domain name.
When they log into gmail.com it logs them right in. (with the specific user name and password)
When we try to set the email account up in Outlook, it always stops us by displaying the user name / password window as though the password is incorrect.  We have tried automatic and manual setup!
We are using the correct IMAP settings when we try IMAP and the correct POP settings as well.
We are always returned to the user name / password field.
I have tried this while making a new profile as well (again on 2 PCs).

Very confused here
What does all of this gibberish mean?  This is just a private AOL user and a private GMAIL user trying to email each other.  Your help is appreciated.

I'm having a lot of problems syncing mail to my iPhone and Outlook 2013 using imap via Gmail

My understanding of imap is that you can use it on multiple devices and all devices would have the same view of email, all email would be received on all devices, if you delete an email off of one device it would delete it off of all of the other, folders would stay in sync across all devices, etc..

I'm finding that not all devices receive all email.  I'll go into the office and there will be email there that is not on my phone and I will find not all messages on my phone are not on my Outlook.  There is one person that sends me email that I never see unless I do a search for that person and I will find that they sent me and email and it's not on either device.

Answering the obvious questions, yes imap is on all devices and setup as per GMmail instruction, I did check to make sure.
I also checked and the person I have to search for is not in the spam/junk folder

Is imap that buggy, please help me understand what is going on

thanks for the help
Our office blocked the GMAIL & YAHOO access.
is there any alternate ways we can access above sites.

please advice
I want to achieve the above without downloading the file to my local PC in any shape or form.  If I save some documents within a gmail to my Google Drive, and then want to convert it to / save it to the same folder a PDF, is there any way I can do this?  I tried opening it as a google document and the only option I can see is "download it as PDF" but the problem with this is that it opens it in Adobe locally on my PC.  I then have to resave the file locally before uploading it.

a friend had his gmail sending out spam/malware.

how can we tell if Gmail was hacked, or simply spoofed?

thanks in advance.
Is it now impossible to create groups of contacts in Gmail?

I can find NOTHING about groups, I did a Google search, it has this http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Mailing-List-in-Gmail
which is total crap, there is bo Group button.

Why is it now the norm to make EVERYTHING HARDER to do & not easier, especially with Google?
From the Admin Console for Google Apps > Users, I can select "Add Multiple Users", and then bulk import users from a CSV file.
There does not appear to be a groups attribute that can be set for bulk importing? Am I just missing this, or is this not available for this method of gmail bulk importing?

I am not using the directory sync tool or any other 3rd party application for managing this currently, just been relying on this way to bulk import users. As I need to now start adding groups to most of my Gmail users, I was hoping that the Gmail multiple users import allowed for groups to be set.
I started monkeying with my gmail recently, now I'm missing emails from family members. btw, I stopped using Inbox, it's too jumpy, whereas gmail is static in user interface, with the five tabs.

My goal was to put my family's emails in "Social", then all my "news" emails etc go in Primary. So I started moving my family's email to Social. But then I noticed I kept missing some.

Along the way I found "Custom Tab Names for Gmail", and really liked that. I've since removed it but it's still there as an available extension.

I also had family members in a label "Family" but removed that today, so everything should revert to the rule.

Based on the two attachments, I'm missing emails ! I can find the emails via "Search" and "Sent Box", but they're NOT found in "Social" nor "Primary", even though one is tagged "Social" and the other "Inbox".

Where are the rules when you move emails from one tab to another ?

This is really irritating.

WTH ??? Any ideas ?
I just had to swap my SSD due to a failure and reload all the software. Everything is fine except my GMail via MS Outlook (yahoo mail works fine via Outlook). Attached is a screen print of the setup and the error message I am getting. As can be seen it receives messages but just won't send them. Can anyone spot what I am doing wrong?

BTW I am using the GMail recent keyword because it enables me to receive emails all my emails on all my devicesTemp.jpg
A user just reloaded the Win 7 OS and Office 2013 (an Office 365 subscription) on his computer.

The problem is that now the Outlook 2013 email auto complete list (the complete email addresses that appear within the Outlook address bar after the first few letters of an email address are typed) are gone.

What is the best method to restore this Outlook 2013 auto complete email address list?

The previous OS and Outlook 2013 are still present on the secondary hard drive of this computer so all previous data and program files can still be accessed.

Please provide me with the steps on how to do this.
I have Norton 360, and it deletes the downloaded installation file from http://www.gmailbackup.org/

This file is completely safe, I believe, and I turned off the firewall, re-downloaded the file and it still deletes it. How can I stop this? I'm spinning my wheels!

Thanks in advance.
I'm planning on putting up a small commercial website, probably using WordPress. On that website, I'm going to need an email account. I don't want to use my name on the email account or on the website. This will probably be a landing page, collecting email addresses   and perhaps an autoresponder. The domain name may indicate the focus of my efforts on the page, which will be to publish some electronic books dealing with cyber-crime and cyber-security. I was  thinking perhaps of writing under a pseudonym. I would like to know what the ramifications and legality are for doing this under a Gmail account, and how secure that account would be. I'm also willing to entertain any other type of reasonably secure email that would not cost too much. I'm also a bit worried that the content on the page might be a lure, inviting some unsavory characters to hack the site just because of the content ( Not paranoid, just careful!).   I do intend to acquire a security certificate, should money be changing hands. Probably will use PayPal, but I'm open to payment suggestions also. So, are there known issues with anonymous websites, pseudonyms and/or email/Gmail accounts open with other than real names. Suggestions about the best type of autoresponder would be appreciated also. Any comments made by the experts regarding issues that I have not addressed here would be very much appreciated also. Points awarded for suggestions of value. Thanks.

I have name@email.com forwarding to my gmail.com.
When I send mail from my gmail.com to name@email.com it is not received in my gmail.com account.
When I send mail from any other of my accounts to name@email.com, the mail forwards and I receive it in my gmail.com account.
Please provide me with ways of exporting address book entries contained within an Outlook 2016 PST file into Gmail as contacts.
I have a google for business account (gsuite.. whatever) set up for mydomain.com.  My email me@mydomain.com works great, mx records are all set.  Happy times.

I am working on a second long term project me@superproject.com and I want to have this email fully accessible and managable from within the same view as me@mydomain.com without having to switch windows, tabs accounts etc.  Plus I need to send email from me@superproject.com without appearing like an alias.  Basically I want to manage two email accounts from the same view in gmail.

Is it possible? How?
Long story short, someone from a client of mine received an email from a newly-created Gmail account that has since been deleted that contained some rather sensitive information. It is really important to discover the source of the email. I have exhausted my limited know how in this area and really need some help. Can anyone make some recommendations?
This is my question. If I send an Outlook 2010 meeting invitation to someone with a Gmail calendar...what happens when they accept it...does it go into their Gmail calendar or not? If not, how can they enter it? Thank you
We are moving our organization to gmail and I am looking to find out how I can set up something similar to the conference folders we have in our current email solution. The conferences allow all people from one department to post emails to the conference for everyone else in the department to read.  The conference keeps all the emails until they are deleted and allows users to just open the conference folder and they see all the emails in that conference.  Is there something similar to this functionality in gmail?
Hi Experts,

Is there an app one could use that audits every single event within Google Email?

Many thanks!
