Cannot access my google groups.  Keep getting error  - The page you requested is invalid.
The returning URL is - https://accounts.google.com/ServiceNotAllowed?service=groupsinsidedomain&continue=https://groups.google.com/a/mydomain.org/d/

I found several instances of this error on Google all say that Groups is turned off and points you to this KB article,  https://support.google.com/a/answer/167096?hl=en  
However, it is already turned on
There should be some log, that I can access that tells me what is specifically what is wrong but I cannot find it.

Need some help with this

Let me give you a scenario and please explain to me whats happening?  On google drive I have 4 folders called Clients, Forms, Apps and Checks.  They all show up on my google drive just fine and I'm sharing it with others.   Somehow it seems the Clients folder is also located in the Forms folder and its certainly the same one.  How is it that its showing up as a main folder in My Drive but at the same time located in the Forms folder?  Is this a sharing or permissions issue or is it marked as a favorite folder somehow?  How do I fix this issue.

I have a macro that will open up google translate and return the English translation of a designated Spanish text. I can then copy the translation, activate my Excel workbook and paste it into a designated cell. What I'd like to be able to do is have additional code in the macro that will do that as well.

Here is my code. I've also attached the workbook.

Hi Techs.  I am in a new role and am using Google Sheets.  I needed to make a template for my daily report. So I made a copy of the the sheet with its' tabs, deleted the data, saved that as my Template, and the original data was completely blown away.

How can I prevent this from happening again?

* I was able to get the entire deleted sheet back by using File > "Version History" > and then saving the last version I worked on.

One of the users on our network is using Google file stream to connect to our shared Google Drive. They somehow deleted one of the folders on that shared drive but all the data is still there if we login.  It seems she lost the connecting folder.  how do I put it back?

I have a data sheet for a program that i'm building. I would like to be able to go down the entire data sheet and look at the 1st row to see if it has a quantity. If it does i would like for it to confirm the Vendor code in the 3rd row. If this Vendor Code = ex.(Esco) then i would like for it to add the 5th row ( Part Number and Description) and 1st row (Part Quantity) to a Purchase order page. I would like for this to happen to the entire page. What i'm seeing right now is after it finds the first row with these attributes it adds this but doesn't go any further . Is there a way to accomplish what i'm trying to do?

I have a Google form attached to a google sheet. The form has 4 questions, so the connected sheet has 5 columns (A-E) including the timestamp of the form submission. I'm trying to have a checkbox added in column F if data from the form is in the corresponding row. Is this possible?
The checkbox needs to be empty until a user manually checks the box, which will indicate that the data in the row has been acknowledged.

I have an email account. It has the form:
my.name@domainname.org
In order to login to the email I have to browse to the domainname.org website and, in order to log in to my email I have to enter the following details:
username:  my.name@domainname.org
password: password1 [This was a password of my choosing]
Despite the fact that I provide authentication details on the domainname.org website, once I am authenticated, I am diverted to a Gmail account with the company logo in the top right corner.

I would now like to transfer all of the emails from this domainname.org (Gmail) account to another new, personal Gmail account. In order to do that I have been into the settings of my new Gmail account and used the "Import mail and contacts" process. The authentication details that I then provided in order to fetch the mail from the pop server were:
username:  my.name@domainname.org
password: password2 [This is a random-looking password provided to me by the company]
pop server: pop.gmail.com

I successfully managed to set the "Import mail and contacts" process going. Unfortunately, it only transferred two thirds of the emails. Gmail did not provide any error message. It took me a while to work out that the company Gmail has a 30GB limit whereas the new personal Gmail has a 15GB limit and when it reached 16.5GB, the import stopped.

I purchased the 100GB package. Once this was in place, the import did not start up again. When i tried to start it off again, I just ended …

I use a Squid proxy connected to a routerboard / mikrotik that makes a load balance between two links.

Recently some users are reporting slow access to Google Drive, and I believe this issue may be related to load balance.

The question: Can I fix a specific routing for Google Drive? Do I need to do this URL based or can I get IP addresses from Google Drive networks?

Hi,

I use Google Calendar as my calendar, which is then synced with Apple's default Calendar app.

My daily events and meetings change several times throughout the day, however Apple Calendar seems to be constantly out of sync with my Google Calendar. It seems like it syncs once an hour so it's quite useless on m my Apple Watch.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get Apple Calendar to sync more frequently with Google Calendar. I can't seem to find any settings.

Google's keyboard replacement is excellent because it contains both a clipboard tool as well as a tool for inserting gifs.

However, it poses a challenge that I have been unable to resolve so far.

If I am forwarding an e-mail and go to "insert text", There appears to be no way to move the existing text to the next line.

This is because of the blue button on the keyboard that starts out as a 'new-line' or 'return' key, but changes to a 'send' key instead.

Assistance in further clarifying the potential solution to this problem is greatly appreciated.

This version of the expression extracts the email address from a string of characters contained within cell E2 and replaces those characters with the result.

I also need versions of the expression that will extract the first name and one to extract the last name.

The email address can possibly be defined as any string of characters that are separated by an @ symbol with no spaces and surrounded entirely by either a (parenthesis) or <chevrons>.

I was told that Google Drive has an option to create Survey/Poll and even send to individuals so they can take it.  Some question for those expert who have worked with this tools:

  • The data that users fill out in a databases?
  • Are there reports for this database?
  • Can I export the survey/pool?
  • When creating a survey/poll, can I insert formulas if needed?
  • Any remarks on the tool?

Hello all,

I have two spreadsheet problems that I need to solve. Please.

1. How do I filter out a specific cell value in order to calculate an average value for the cells with numbers?
2. The ARRAYFORMULA / AVERAGE function includes blank cells into its calculation. As a result, blank cells result in an incorrect final average. See F44 as an extreme example. The final value should be close to 8, not 3.8.


The cell column can look like this:

Using the formula, =ROUNDUP(ARRAYFORMULA(AVERAGE(LEFT(A2:A19,1)+0)),1), I can calculate the average of all the values. However, this formula fails on any cells that include a "DNA".

Notes:

- Ideally, I would like to either filter within the Importantrange or the average function.
- I know how to use, "=filter(A2:A19, A2:A19<>"DNA")", but how can I incorporate the average and filter, or the importrange and the filter functions?
- Also, the way I am currently calculating averages, also factors in blank cells, which skews the final average. :(

I'm having one of those moments where I cannot figure out what should be very simple. Help please. :)

From a survey, I have asked multiple people to rank something from 0% to 100%.

The results are something like this:

        A          B
01   60%     3  
02   70%     2
03   80%     9
04   90%     2
05  100%    1  

Column A is the percentage value. I need to determine the average % based on the number of votes in column B.

I am trying to calculate the average distribution value. Just 'eyeballing', I expect the value should be about 78%.

How do I calculate this value in a spreadsheet?

I made a test with the following cases and it works:
1-Error when clipboard doesn't contain a file which exist
2-Success when the clipboard contain a file which exist
3-Error when google drive is not the active windows

Prior to adding to my AutoHotkey file I would like to have some advice to see if the AutoHotkey should be revised in term of structure, conditions and loops.
I am aware that Send keys is not the best way however this is how I can work on google drive.

I have an annual budget of $1,000. I'd like to spend $20 in January and increase spending each month evenly. By the end of the year I want to have spent the full $1,000.

I am looking to share a phone with a local audience as depicted in the following scenario.

Phone Scenario:
Let's say that I was going to present the following sample slide presentation to a larger audience from my phone, meaning that I was going to pass my phone around the room and allow others to navigate through the following slides as shown here https://shorturl.at/yNOT4.

I don't want the viewers to lose that spot and be forced to hand my phone back to me before it makes it around the room.

How can I accomplish this, ensuring that the slide content is not interrupted by messages or by navigating away from the intended content?

I have been directed to deploy a group of chrome books (30 or more) by a certain date.  My knowledge is limited =)  My thought is to get a Google admin console (gsuite) to manage the chromebook devices only, not users.  Another unit in the company already manages google user accounts.  

If I do get a Google admin console, and just enroll chromebooks with it (not create user accounts), can I also:

1. push security and functionality updates to the devices?
2. manage a central repository of approved "google play" apps, or push apps onto the chromebooks from a console?
3. prevent any user that is logged in from changing settings, adding unapproved apps, or removing apps that I have installed?
