Hi,

Not so much a question but looking for an approach.

I have to create an online appointment booking application. Something fairly basic.

A user is presented with a list of available consultation slots, can select the time sign up and then confirm the appointment.

I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do this without re-inventing the wheel and writing my own booking system. I imagine there must be a whole host of other ways to record appointments. I've briefly looked at the google calendar api but not sure if this will do every thing I need or if there are pitfalls that I'm missing.

I'll be using node as the platform.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I need to return an Android Galaxy Tab 4, but first must remove both my iCloud email and Gmail email accounts.

How do I do this?

Also, I placed certain password for various log-ins. Is this simply Clearing Cookies?

How do I do this with Chrome for Android?

Thanks.

How would whole disk encryption effect files stored in something like the desktop installation of OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, et cetera? Especially as it pertains to having to download such files to a different computer that's not encrypted.

For example. Let's say I store data in the OneDrive for Business App on my laptop (good bad or indifferent, not arguing the point here). Let's say I also opt to do whole disk encryption on such said laptop.

Later, this laptop crashes. I install OneDrive on a new laptop, and the data downloads. Is that data usable?

I'm setting up a computer for a client, Dell 3010 Optiplex with Windows 7 64 bit.  She needs a phone until we can set up Ooma.  I installed Google Voice but it isn't doing the trick.  When I set up Google Voice on my computer years ago it was simple.  I use my computer to make a call.  When I set it up on hers they required that we link it to an existing phone.  We did so with her cell phone.  We don't want to make or receive calls with her phone.  (It has lousy reception in this area, which is why I set up Google phone.)  Somewhere in her Google settings I tried to tell it not to forward to the cell phone.  But that didn't work.  Any idea how to set up  Google phone like we want to use it?  Or should I just try Skype or another phone service that's easier to set up?
Thanks,
Al

I have a non-profit organization who has very limited funds.
They have three brand-new Dell laptops all running Windows 8.1 basic or home edition. (I can't recall this time).

Most of what they do will be sharing Word documents. One person may create a document. The other two users may need to open the same document and make changes to it.

Someone had set up a Windows 8.1 PC and set up home group sharing. I myself am not a fan of home group especially on a network. This particular person set up SFTP.  He was not able to make it work. He attempted to open ports on the router with no success. And then he left these folks stranded and walked away from the project

first of all I would never use a Windows 8.1 PC acting as server. If money was no object, I would not be posting this.

I want to keep it very simple
- I thought about DropBox sharing but that has its issues as well
- want to keep this as simple as possible where the three users don't have to go through hoops to access the data
- as a quick temporary solution, I gave them an XP Pro PC. (Yes I know it is no longer supported) and tighten down security best as possible. This PC will not be used as a workstation to go onto the Internet. I then set up the needed folder structure. Then provided LogMeIn Pro to the server from their laptops remotely. This will allow them to open a file on the server, make changes, print wherever they want including home and then close it. LogMeIn Pro is not pretty and the …

I am in need of some desperate help if anyone would be so kind. I am new here, so I apologize about the code formatting below; I am not sure if I did it correctly.

I am going to be scanning in nearly 2000 student IDs (column A) and Chromebook serial #s (column B) into a Google Spreadsheet next week. I have a handheld new scanner and it works as expected. It automatically presses enter and tab after each scan. After the scan in column B (serial #), I would like the active cell to change to the next row and select column A to ready itself for the next student ID.

I have searched high and low through Google's documentation and others' experiments. I found code to set cells on another sheet and adapted it to what I need but I can't get it to work properly. I also found some tips on mrexcel, but excel is not an option.

If you look at the code below, when I create a button on the sheet and aim it at the function goToSheet(), then click the button, it correctly calls the function goToCell and selects column A on the next row from whatever the currently selected cell in column B is.

When I manually enter a value into column B or scan one in, the onEdit change event activates, calls the goToCell correctly and all operates as it should but the selected cell does not become activated.

I have tried everything I can think of including removing all columns except A & B. Can someone please help? Thank you in advance for your time.

I have a Kyocera KM-3050 that I am trying to configure the email settings. I have tried a Yahoo and a Gmail account and get the same results. The GUI has options for POP and SMTP settings. SMTP info entered and I get an OK result when I hit Test. My issue is with the POP settings. I enter the settings (see screenshot), hit Test and get Transmit/Receive Error (0x2202). On another page I have SSL enabled but I have tried every conceivable combination of settings. I have tried doing an email from the machine and get a send error. I have tried power cycling the machine as well.

The phone number column in this spreadsheet needs to be dialed by clicking on it from within the google spreadsheets shown here http://screencast.com/t/HNzsavlLx. This is challenging because the numbers that are there were input by a form, but putting new numbers in with a + does weird things. It is my understanding though, that dialing them with the + in front leads to less errors when calling internationally. Again, I need to be able to click directly on the number in the spreadsheet and have it use either google voice, or skype (depending on my choice) to dial the number.

I've used GMail's auto-migration and Mac Mail's "select all and drag and drop to other mailbox" options before but are there any other free alternatives that work better with less bugs and failures?

How can I make it so that my iPhone 5 (running iOS v.7) will constantly query my Gmail account so that I will be notified as soon as (or shortly after) an email arrives within my Gmail Inbox?

Currently my Gmail email account on my iPhone doesn't update unless I am already viewing my Gmail emails.

I would like my iPhone to receive and notify me that an new Gmail email has been received as soon as that email arrives in my Inbox just like how all of my Exchange email accounts set up within my iPhone are able to do.

There won't be any problems with this feature using more data since the user who wants this enabled is using Sprint PCS service and has an unlimited data plan.

How can this be done?

Does having a gmail email mean you have a google account?  I need to setup a search box on a website for a client.  He gave me his gmail email and password.  I tried logging in to google.com and it keeps saying the password is wrong.  Client doesn't have any other password.  Not sure what to do now.

Up until 3 weeks ago, my multifunction print device worked fine with no errors. I was able to print, scan to email, and receive faxes via email to reduce paper consumption. Now, anything associated with the email functionality gives me an error code of 027-777: Server unsupports SMTPSmtp-xerox.jpgxerox-smtp.jpg   auth. I utilize google business apps for my email provider and have adjusted port settings in accordance with Google's procedures as well as created a "noreply"@gmail account to route email  through vice utilizing the "noreply"@mydomain.com address which i also have at our disposal. I use the "smtp.gmail.com" address as my mail server and ports 465 and 587 for ssl and tls. Attached is the smtp server settings page from the web based control panel.

How can I add the Outlook color codes to an Outlook 2013 Gmail IMAP account?

This email color code only appears for Exchange server accounts (see the screenshot).

A particular user profile on a Windows 8.1 operating system is unable to completely open the www.gmail.com website unless the basic version of Gmail is used.

This issue started occurring about a week ago and the user's profile on this Windows 8.1 computer had been connecting to Gmail just fine for over 2 months (since the OS was last installed).

Gmail opens just fine when launched within other user profiles on the same Windows 8.1 computer.

The user profile having this issue has administrator rights on the computer and we have tried doing things such as clearing all temporary and temporary internet files, resetting Internet Explorer 11 back to the default settings, restoring the advanced settings, etc. but have been unable to resolve this issue.

The user doesn't want to have his Windows profile recreated and would like to have this issue fixed.

What can be done to fix this issue?

Is there any way to open two separate instances of Outlook 2013 so that one of the Outlook 2013 programs is connected to a corporate Exchange server account while the other Outlook 2013 program is connected to a Gmail IMAP account or to a completely different Exchange server account from another domain?

I know that one way of doing this is to simply add several different accounts within a single Outlook profile but in the particular case I would like to be able to open two different instances of Outlook 2013 and have each instance of Outlook 2013 to be connected to a different account.

How can this be done?

I have set up my Gmail account using IMAP within Outlook 2013.

The offline IMAP storage file for this Gmail account is around 2.5 GB in size.

This file keeps corrupting and even after I have repaired it I continue to have problems.

One of these problems is that while I can continue to use my Gmail account within Outlook 2013 to send emails I don't receive any new emails.

These problems continue to occur even after I create new Outlook 2013 profiles for my Gmail account.

The operating system, Outlook 2013, and Office 2013 software have all had the latest Windows updates installed.

What can I do to fix this issue so that the Outlook 2013 Gmail data file will stop corrupting?

Hello,

I am moving our email from gmail hosted to an in house Exchange 2013 standard. This will be my first Exchange build ground up and I am searching for some kind of step check list to have a smooth transition or any tips. We are putting Exchange on the Domain Controller which acts as a file and AD server. It is a 2008 R2 server. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Can the content of e-mails sent via GMail (using the Mail app on the iPhone) be sniffed and read in a local wifi network?

If yes: is there a way to prevent this?

Thanks,

Say, I am able to create an ODBC link to a Microsoft XL Spread sheet. If I import the spread sheet into Gmail, is there a way to create an ODBC link to it? I would like to access this database via, for example, ACCESS.
Thanks
