I have a database with 3 forms Company, Contact & Activity.
Contact & Activity are not responses.
I have built a hierarchy using @Unique for field CoUNID and this is inherited first into a Contact is composed from the Company inheriting CoUNID and other field values.
Activity is composed from the Contact inheriting CoUNID, ConUNID and other field values.

I have a number of critical field values in the Company e.g Company Name (CoName) that need to be updated in the associated Contacts and Activities if the user changes the value in the Company.

I save these values as a list to a field in the Company and when the user saves the Company, if any have changed update the Contacts and Activities using @SetDocField and @DbLookup to return the documentUNID

@SetDocField(DocUNID; "CoName"; CoName);

This works fine as long as there is only one Contact. If there is more than one only the contact with the first documentUNID is updated.

How do I change this so that all documents with matching CoUNID returned by the @DbLookup are updated?
What is the difference between the term mailbox owner in Groupwise and in Exchange 2010.  Is it just the terminology difference of Groupwise being an owner verus Exchange having Full Access permissions?
I have a simple form that is composed from a button on another form.

It only contains a few fields, some inherited from the main form and looks rubbish when launched full screen in the client.
Is there a way of launching this in a window and controlling the window size?

I cannot use @Dialogbox as the values are not returned to the main form, I need to create a new document each time.

I have an exchange 2007 server which supplies emails to our company and our mobile devices.  What we are missing is the ability to open internal document links sent by email from our file server on mobile devices.
I have tried this with:
Standard email account
Exchange OWA
Using Cisco Anyconnect VPN

None of these are successful.  I am able to connect with the VPN and then with a file browser app get to my filserver and open any document (sort of like a corporate private drop box) but this isn't what the company is looking for.

Has anyone been able to do this or have any ideas I might try?

Please advise how to design an email template (for Microsoft Outlook 2010) that will hold certain fields (a mixture of free text, numbers and some standard wording to come preferrably from a drop down list).

The purpose:
Someone is advising a wider team to take into account these fields when putting their time against a project.
The emails are cc'd to a central mailbox
Each month I want to be able to pull the data from these fields into a database so that we track all of these different projects and the reasons that these projects are having this notification sent out.
300 points for a how to reply - 500 points for a ready-made example please :-)
I have a view in Notes that displays values from 2 different forms A & B
Form B must be edited from an embedded view in form A
I would like to allow users to open form A from the view but not form B.
I would like to display a message 'Please edit form B from within form A' when they double click it to open.
How do I do this?

GroupWise 2012: Set a Recurring Appointment or Edit an Appointment

After the installation of the New GW 2012 we have no reocurring or auto date button to setup repeating dates.
I have a user that opens excel spreadsheets and when he does it create a personal copy of the same spreadsheet with a little thump tact beside it down in the attachment section of the email dialog box. He is not setup with software integrations and no other users are having this same issue.
I can not send email from my GroupWise smtp connection from my iPhone at home when connected to my WiFi across my Comcast internet connection. When I send an email it fails to send. If I turn off WiFi and let 4G connect to the GroupWise server it sends the email just fine. The email is being sent by Groupwise at a remote location but somehow Comcast is blocking the phones ability to hand off the info to the server even though the server is offsite sending out email on ATT DSL circuit. This also happens in Jackson MS on Comcast with a fellow employee of mine.

We have 2 exchange all in one role and one exchange front end server. all are exchange 2003. Users in MBX01 are able to configure their mail in phones, but users in MBX2 are unable to configure their mails in phone. outlook and OWA access is fine. when I check , the active sync virtual directory was not there and found some other unwanted websites configured. (Attached is the screen shot) I think this might be the reason why users in MBX2 are unable to configure mails in their mobile devices. can I create only active sync directory ? or I need to re create all virtual directories? Also pls let us know the steps to do the same.

One more thing all are connecting to frontend server to access mails, but still active sync virtual directory required in backend server?

I'd like to use something similar to GoToMeeting but charges on a per use basis rather than monthly, since I'll only need it once every 2 or 3 months.

I don't want to use anything like Google Handouts since I don't want to force people into using G+.  I'd like them to signup using a form similar to what GoToMeeting uses.

Any ideas?

We receive a very high volume on, these are general queries, sales related queries, other specific queries and daily business emails. It has always been this way ever since. It was manageable earlier because the volume was low and we didn't plan it properly, now we are stuck and not sure what is the best way to handle it?

Is there way to segregate these emails so that person A attends business emails person B attends only sales queries? Is installing a local mail server like Exchange the solution?

Dear experts, please help.

I have a GroupWise 2012 server, and most users utilising Outlook 2013 don't have a problem with receiving their mail within a minute or so from the server.
Unfortunately, one user only receives her mail in Outlook when she logs into her GroupWise webmail account.  Once she logs into Webmail, suddenly Outlook begins downloading her mail.  For some reason this triggers it?

All the outlook users are just using IMAP to synchronise.  There is no GroupWise client installed on the computers alongside Outlook, and we don't sync calendars or address books.  Outlook just receives mail and sends it to/from the GroupWise Server.

Anyone have an idea why this happens to this one person?
I just started working with ReviewBoard and thought it was pretty nice to have a collaborative review.

But a senior member commented that it is full of bugs and wants to know whether there are other good products out there.

I don't know about these but found them with google:

Since ReviewBoard is free Open Source, maybe we have to go with free:

Any other free collaborative code review software that you would recommend? Any knowledge comparing with ReviewBoard?

Our project is very large C++ program.
My requirement is that one user on specific machine should get access of only specified application not others.

When user will logged in application should get started automatically & should not have any other access except that application.
I have a problem with one my clients with the manually downloading the address book.  When she does this, it deletes her *.nk2 file (Recent email addresses). I have never seen this problem before.  She is running Windows 7 Pro with Office 2007 Pro.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Email From Client:
I know that the global address list in outlook periodically updates overnight/weekly & that the best thing is to retrieve it through the Tools send & receive command in Outlook. When lots of changes are done, I remind people to go & pull it down. I did it myself on Thursday b/c I wanted to make sure I had the freshest list. When I did that all of my cache of people I had emailed disappeared & I started with a blank slate. That has never happened before.
Hello All!
We have a user that has had something happen to his mailbox, and the majority of his emails have been deleted, I'm not exactly sure how at this point, that is something that I will have to to figure out after I get them back.  I have been trying to restore them, and have run GWCheck etc. on the mailbox, and was able to recover some of the messages.  Unfortunately, the mailbox contained an extraordinary amount of messages, 60K+, however, they are necessary for the persons function, and this has not been easy!

Groupwise 8 Post Office Server:
Server: SLES 10 SP3
Novell OES 2 SP3

*Restore Area Management configured from Groupwise server using ConsoleOne 1.3.6h
UNC Path: /mnt/<restore server>/vol/gwrest/wpdomain/poa (when I configured this, the /mnt is automatically added)

Restore Server:
Novell OES 2 SP3

I have had to create the Restore Area Management on another SLES server, due to lack of space on my Groupwise server.  I get the following error on a Windows 7 workstation, using a Groupwise 8.2 client when trying to access the RAM path backup:

Groupwise Error [8219]
"Failed to connect to a remote network source."

I click OK, and it presents a dialog box that I can use to browse to the location and it will open the backup and I can see the "lost" emails, but when I try to restore them I receive this error:

Groupwise Error [d069]
"You have attempted to open an incompatible backup database.  You …

This is related to Entourage. I believe it is the email system related to the group wise.

I am used to with the Lotus Domino and Exchange’s email system.

+1) To setup the email client for Lotus Notes; the most important items are:
+i) The lotus notes id (of that user)
+ii) The Lotus Domino Server (used for that user; different location has different domino server)
+iii) The password for that lotus ID

+2) To setup the email client (Microsoft outlook client) for Exchange Server; the most important items are:
+i) The name of the Exchange Server
+ii) The mailbox’s name of that user

I need help from the experts how to setup email client related to Entourage by answering my questions as the followings:
Questios#1: What server is used by Entourage? Is it Exchange Server?
Questions#2: Do we need to supply Entourage ID (as applied by lotus notes)?
Questions#3: Or Do we need to create a mailbox (of the user) (as applied by Exchange Server?)
Questions#4: Is there anything else that I have to know to setup the email related to the Entourage?

For purposes of legal discovery, I'm charged with restoring a GroupWise 7 server to a NetWare 6.5/OES server--having no experience with either! So I'm stumbling along and have gotten a lot farther than I had expected to at this point. But now I need to know more about what I'm doing.

The system as it now exists:
WS2003 server running:

* Backup Exec 11d for Windows
* NW Client for Windows.
* ConsoleOne with the GW snap-in

NetWare OES server running:
* Backup Exec Agent for NetWare
* GroupWise 7

I have successfully restored what appears to be the GroupWise server and its data to it from backups, with only this Error reported by Backup Exec:

Novell NetWare SMS errors were encountered.
Begin Novell SMS errors:
Fri Jun 21 14:51:10 2013
Trustee CN=RKT.O=HOUSTON<OldOrgName> was not restored for APPS:, because the trustee IDs are different.
End Novell SMS errors.

RKT would have been a user account; APPS is the volume that contains the GW server.

I have not restored the Directory at this time. One concern is that if I do so, the "admin" account will be overwritten and I won't know the credentials. Another is that the Directory was on a separate server. I don't know if I can redirect the Directory restore, or if it can run on the same server as GroupWise, or if I'd have to set up a 2nd NW server.

In any event, without the original Directory, it's not a big surprise that RKT permissions could not be restored. The other …

One of our client want to impliment  Lync 2013.   His setup was installed with OCS 2007 R2 around 3 years back and configured for all users. But later ocs server got crashed and no one using OCS from around 2.5 years.

How should i procced with new setup? .Please guide
I just deployed MS Lync monitoring into my environment.  All of the reports are working except for the "User Activity Report" under the Call Diagnostic Reports(per-user).  I am running a Windows 2008R2 server with a SQL 2008 db and a Lync Enterprise FE pool with a single enterprise edition.  All of the Lync patches and windows patches are up to date.  I know the Lync monitoring uses SQL Reporting Services which I have installed and is working for all of the other lync reports.  Any suggestions?
Hello Experts,

Hi there,

we have a Blackberry Enterpriseserver 5 with about 15 Users connected via SOAP to a Groupwise 8 Server.
One User is not able to move Mails from the Inbox to a Subfolder.
In most cases the Mail Returns on the BB Device to the Inbox or the Mails are not show in Inbox or Subfolder any more.
On the Groupwise Client the Mails are not moved and where still in the Inbox.

Everthing else with the Blackberry is working (Receiving, Sending or Deleting Mails).

We already Updated BES to Version and Groupwise to Version 8.0.4.
Also we wiped the BB Device, Deleted User in BES, Wait for 2 Hours and Activate the Device again. But the Issue still exist.

Has anybody an Idea?

Regards TREXMan
