Sender has Outlook 2010/Exchange 2007.  Recipient has GroupWise.  Sender is emailing some PDSs and recipient gets them as TNEF.001.  This only happens to one particular person in the receiving organization.  Anyone else in the Sending organization can send to that recipient just fine.  Doesn't matter if the email is in HTML, Rich Text or plain text.  Outlook is set to send as HTML.  Recipient is in Sender's contacts at an HTML formatted address.

The boss reported that a large group of emails were missing from his Outlook 2010 inbox.
After I investigated, I found them buried in a folder several levels down.
He has about 10 rules, all very normal looking - moving mail from specific senders to a folder.
But, there is a duplicate of one that was responsible for the moving of these "missing" emails - which looks like a combination of two other rules.
I am wondering if this was somehow caused by a corrupt rule and then, as is normal for a new rule, run on the existing emails.
His workstation is a very simple and normal setup (Win7-64), although he is a very heavy Outlook user.  In addition to using Outlook at the office, he also connects to his account on our SBS 2008 from home using Outlook setup with RPC over HTTP.
He also syncs with his iPhone and iPad to that account.
Has anyone had an experience like this before?
Am I on the right track in assuming that a corrupt rule is responsible for this event?
And what was the trigger, and how do I prevent such a thing again?
I appreciate any advice from the experts.

Experiencing an issue where a user will delete an item from Sent Items folder, it will go to trash but then when he goes back to sent items folder it is there again.  Any idea on how this can be fixed so he can delete/organize his sent itmes folder.

All employees for our company are in Caching mode for GroupWise.  We have it setup so that users cannot delete email as per company poicky.  The deleted items from caching mode remains in their trash folder when viewed in online mode.

We have a situation where employees have proxy access to other accounts for work related purpose and cannot delete/empty trash.  Is there anyway we can delete the trash folder for the proxy accounts that users have access to.
When i am trying to join a webex meeting from IE, its showing a message that: broker for vista has stopped working. any idea why this happens?

I want to test from an external account  so that non groupwise users will not be able to send emails to internal groupwise distribution lists.

Our distribution lists are setup with the following syntax:

All location

When I go to my external account to do a test send and start typing all followed by space it will not allow me to type the full distribution name.  Does not like spacing, so that could be a good thing.  Is there a work around so that it will allow me to type the distribution list name with a space in between.

I want to ensure that there are no settings enabled in Console one to allow external users to send to distribution lists.

Running GW 7.0.2

Any insights on these problems would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Experts,
I have question about this.
1. I have SharePoint list with more than 10,000,000 items. Can I use following line of code for query?
result = lservice.GetListItems(ListName, null, ndQuery, ndViewFields, null, ndQueryOptions, null);

I set ViewField = null = “Default View”
Row limit = null

Result = one item (According to CAML query).

Is it okay?

Thanks for your help in advance.
This is using iFolder 3.7x on SUSE Enterprise server 11 64bit. My management bought a SSL certificate from Verisign, and wanted to import the cert into iFolder, so as user access iFolder through web with have all transaction encrypted. By the way, what is the proper procedure to import cert?

Thanks in advance.
We have our Groupwise server on SLES10 which runs a script which downs the groupwise agents and copies the postoffice, domain etc to the backup server in another location.  We then have a script on that server which downs the agents, rsync's the backup to the proper location and brings the agents back up.  For some reason though when we do the restore rsync, the files show being updated, but when we launch Groupwise Client, the mailbox still shows the older emails.  But if we manually copy the groupwise files into the proper location, and restart groupwise, it shows the current information.
So I know the sychronization from the productioin server to the backup server is working, as if I manually copy the synced files into its proper location it works, but if I use rsync to copy from /backupserver/sync folder to /backupfolder/groupwise folder for some reason it does not seem to overwrite the files.
I have a client that came from a GroupWise environment to a Outlook 2010/Hosted Exchange environment.  They were able to manage all email content along with other documents (Word, Excel, PDFs) in Groupwise as well instead of having email in Groupwise and files in folders.  Does anyone know if there is either an Outlook pluggin that would accomplish this or a different Exchange client that would hook up with Exchange yet if this functionality on the front end?  They are looking for one interface that combines their email streams with other documents based cases (they are a small law firm).

Groupwise 7 client not accessing netware mapped drives under windows 7?
We have a Suse Linux 10 SP3 server running OES3 with Groupwise 8 running on it.  We have be able to sync files between it and a remote server using rsync.  Now we would like to completely automate the Groupwise sync.  How can enter options into crontab to down the agents (I know how to start and stop, thats not the issue) so that it is done automatically and the copy the files to another temp directory via rsync which is then copied over the internet to a backup server.  Our main concern is simply automatic stopping of agents and starting.  Also is it better to do a backup with Dbcopy and then use rsync to perform the remote syncing>

I would like to get some suggestion about monitoring non-owners access to user mailboxes on Exchange 2010 SP1.
In most cases only users (should) have access to their mailboxes and I want to monitor if some unauthorized configuration changes or mailbox access have occurred.
On the server I have enabled Set-AdminAuditLogConfig, so every configuration change should be logged.
But here I need two more things:
- From EMS I would like to get the list of mailboxes which has (non-default) additional users added with full-access permissions set. How should look the command?
- Get things logged when non-owner get access to mailbox and just opens/reads mail. I'm not sure this is possible as MessageBind is not applicable for delegates.
Any other idea?

Thank you!
When a user here trys to use autoname complete for emails it does not work. So I went under address books and I get teh follow error.

The novell address book is not avalible from your (WMS) Windows messaging service profile it will not be searched as part of the name completion.

So I have reisntalled Groupwise and this did not help. The machine also DOES not have outook installed so that should nto be any issue.. Any Ideas ??
We are using Outlook 2010 in cached exchange mode with a Exchange 2007 Server.  Users have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit version software.

After sucessfully importing the users .nk2 file, the autocomplete entries stop working after a restart of the Outlook 2010 program.  There is an existing C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache folder, but the Stream_Autocomplete_(lengthy characters).dat file in not there.  I understand that Exchange 2010 stores the info on the server, but what about Exchange 2007?  Is there a patch or a fix?

Is there anything that needs to be created or repaired on the user end?

My company is looking for a new email management tool similar to Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook. We would prefer not to use these programs as our email traffic and archiving has too high a volume to continue using either of those options.

We've been looking into an email management program by a company named Moxie Software. This is a paid-for email management system, so I wanted to see if there are other options that we can explore before springing for the more pricey product.

Any suggestions are welcome :) Thanks in advance!
Netware Server running GroupWise 6 has died, and I would like to restore my backup of the sever to a  Windows 2003 Server box.
When using a common security database, would I use an NDS tree or a ring to organize Novell Netware servers?
My company has extremely limited network capacity but wants to be able to store some large (50MB) technical documents on our Intranet.  Given that our users can sometimes be limited to 40 kb/s download speeds, I'm trying to determine if there's any way to do this satisfactorily.

One possibility is serving the documents one page at a time on request, with the idea that a given page may only be a few hundred KB.  Is there any method or product that people are pleased with that can do this?  It doesn't need to be a free product.  Googling thus far hasn't shown me anything obvious.

Its worth noting that I don't mind converting the document into another format, or into a byte[] stream, if necessary.
hi Experts,

Groupwise GWIA version: 6.5.7
Platform: Netware 5.1

Received non-deliverable error for outbound email to partner's internet domain...Other internet domains were ok. Inbound email from partner's internet domain were ok.

Transcript of session follows:
        Command:  Data...
        Response: 420 TCP write error

I have done a search on google and read thru the following links. Done a spamhaus check to ascertain that our outbound smtp public ip was not blacklisted.

Done a telnet to partner's internet domain and returned a  "Connect failed" (presumably they have blocked any incoming telnet to their SMTP gateway)

Please advise further troubleshooting steps to identify cause of non-deliverable emails to only certain internet domains.

I have a BB user who's mail is synchronised from GW. Having recently married, her name was changed in GW, her BB was wiped, her user account was removed from the BB server. Her new user credential were entered onto the Blackberry Enterprise Server, prior to the BB device being re-configured. All seems good with the exeption her "new" mailbox is not showing up in the PIM section in her BES properties. Therefore mail is not picked up.
Is there a method of forcing the update on BES, or should this be looked at in GW?
