HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the main markup language for creating web pages and other information to be displayed in a web browser, providing both the structure and content for what is sent from a web server through the use of tags. The current implementation of the HTML specification is HTML5.

I have a html textarea on my page in my ASP.NET Web Forms application.
https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_textarea.asp

If a user types some html code like this inside my textarea

p>test</p><span>test</span>

When i run my page it causes an error.

I read this article:
https://www.codeproject.com/tips/297679/a-potentially-dangerous-request-form-value-was-det

So then,
if I add these 2 lines of code inside the <system.web> tags, that fixes the issue and I no longer get an error , the textarea accepts the html tags ok.

<system.web>

        <httpRuntime requestValidationMode="2.0" />
        <pages validateRequest="false" />

</system.web>

Is there a better way to allow a user to type html tags inside my textarea without having to add those 2 lines inside my Web.Config of my application ?

Hello, I have an older contact form that was written using html table elements that I'm looking to re-code using CSS (specifically with the grid elements) so that it is responsive and mobile friendly.   Could someone help me out with the basic CSS / HTML frame work to accomplish the following?  I'd like the layout to be two columns in a larger display and one column in a mobile/smaller display, as follows:

Larger Display:
Field1 label   Field1 input      Field2 label  Field2 input
Field3 label   Field3 input      Field4 label  Field4 input
Field5 lable   Field5 input      Field6 label  Field6 input

                                 Submit (centered)

Medium Display:
Field1 label        Field2 label
Field1 input       Field2 input
Field3 label        Field4 label
Field3 input       Field4 input
Field5 label        Field6 label
Field5 input       Field6 input

         Submit (centered)

Small/Mobile Display
Field1 label Field1 input
Field2 label Field2 input
Field3 label Field3 input
Field4 label Field4 input
Field5 label Field5 input
Field6 label Field6 input

Submit (centered)

I have an Image with 3 logo's which is in a widget in my header.  I want the image to stay to the right of the header, whichever screen size.  At the moment it keeps moving to the left and keeps moving when you reduce the size of the browser.

I want it to stay to the right, above the menu, and then not show on mobile.

I am in a pickle and have a new approach (Plan B at the bottom)

I need to forward my domain to a partner's website, but I need emails to work using my domain.

I prefer hosting at RackSpace.com

The problem I had when creating a CNAME record was I got the domain to forward, but that broke the email. The MX records were being read from the target website, which is not RackSpace.

So, I canceled my email accounts at RackSpace and create new accounts at Zoho, thinking this would solve the problem.

It did not.

Here are my three attempts from BlueHost:

With A Record
With No A Record and No CNAME
With A Record and CNAME
Any other ideas for this before going to Plan B?

My new approach is to point my domain at a real super-simple website. In the index.html I re-route to the target domain.

Any problems with this?

My partner’s IT guy said it was okay to forward all traffic.

What does the index.htm look like?
What is that one line of code?

Thanks

I am working to script for validating  and checking names, I found out a script, I adapted a little bit, and I tried to add two arrays, a for...of loop and an if...else statemet to show two different messages, one for taken names and the other for available names, but something went wrong, my code did not work and the mesage from else statement is shown on the page.
What I did wrong?
Below the script, my lines are from //--to check, not working...
//reload whole page

I have a html form with an option select for choosing a country name see sample code bellow

I'm wondering how to validate this part of the form in PHP using filter input

filter_input(INPUT_POST, "Country", FILTER_VALIDATE_INT);

Will detect if no country has been selected because the value is 1
how would I validate a proper 3 figure country code

Is regex the best way or test for string length?

<div >
 <select name="Country" >
  <option selected value=1>Please select</option>
  <option value="BRA">Brazil</option>
  <option value="NZL">New Zealand</option>
  <option value="SWZ">Switzerland</option>
 </select>

I've just moved my iis intranet server from 2008 to 2016.  Everything is working fine however, I have one link that is supposed to open a share and for whatever reason it's not working.  It's a simple html page with the \\servername\share\share.  If I open the html page directly on the server and click the link on the html page it works.  However, If I try to open the page from the actual intranet publish it does not.  I've looked at the link on the published page, it is correct.  So I'm confused as to how to solve this issue.

I'm a bit stymied on what I'm doing wrong. I have the following apparently straightforward HTML code:
<form name="editForm" method="post" action="updPurchDataEdit.jsp" target="PurchEdit">
<input type="hidden" name="purchaseId" value="168">
</form>

<div style="position: absolute; top: 110px; left: 60px; font-size: smaller; font-weight: bold"
  onmouseover="document.body.style.cursor='pointer';"
  onmouseout="document.body.style.cursor='auto';"
  onclick="location='updPurchDataEdit.jsp?purchaseId=168'"

<!--  onclick="var w = window.open('','PurchEdit','width=900,height=540,top=50');
    w.focus();
    document.editForm.submit();"-->

<img alt="" style="vertical-align: bottom" src="images/Write1a.gif"/> Edit Purchase
</div>

Open in new window

When I run this as shown, it works fine. When I run the commented code ("var w = ...) instead of the "location= ..." code, I get a blank page, no form inside. I've done this dozens of times and in fact have another such window.open in the same program that works fine. Can anyone see what might be wrong here? This used to work.

Hello,

I am trying to tidy up our job board, and have messed up the drop-down filters, Instead of showing in 3 columns, they are all over the place, plus one of the dropdowns looks different to the other.

I changed themes and thought i could do it, but not working.  Could somebody have a look at this please, so that i can get the filters inline, in 3 columns (Location, Position type, Fleet Type)

Hi Experts,
I am using a Kendo UI grid in my MVC.Net application.
I have added an onclick event to one of my grid's columns.  The event takes 1 parameter (the value of the BatchID columns).
I also want to pass the value of the FileName column a second parameter.  Is this possible to do using the template of a given column?
If so, how?

You can see my code, and an image of my code below:
    function loadLog() {
        var BatchID = $("#hdnBatchID").val();
        $("#ELog").empty();
        $("#ELog").kendoGrid({
            dataSource: {
                type: "ajax",
                transport: {
                    read: function (options) {
                        $.ajax({
                            type: "POST",
                            url: '@Url.Action("GetLog", "EDI")',
                            dataType: "json",
                            data: JSON.stringify({ "BatchID": BatchID}),
                            contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8',
                            success: function (result) {
                                var data = result.FileDtls;
                                if (data != null)
                                    options.success(result)
                            }
                        })
                    }
                },

I have a shortcut where an email is embedded along with a code like this.

https://mydomain.com?e=first.last+more@gmail.com&cde=uiyi76#5kjuh8y77ykj

In most cases this works, except like the above case where there is a plus (+) sign in the email. I have written the following code that works, but I am curious if there is a better way. I am using PHP to process this.

$val = $_GET['e'];
if (strstr($val, "@")) $e = str_replace(" ", "+", $val);
else $e = $val;

Can you either confirm this is a good way to go or suggest an alternative.

Thanks.

Hi, I created a contacts database, and I am wondering if there's a way to use html on a form.  For example, I use a web form builder software that publishes forms to the cloud.  I'm able to get the html for this and add to a web page (to embed the form into the web page instead of following a link to it).  Does Access 2016 have this functionality?  Can it read HTML and store embedded items?  I feel like it doesn't after my web search, but just wanted to ask the experts!  Thanks!

Hi Experts.
I have a customer that wants to be able to access an AS400/iSeries database file from their website.   The Website is hosted offsite and the AS400/iSeries is onsite.  I have googled quite a bit and having trouble finding a lot on how to do this.  I have done iSeries stuff for years, but this out of the ordinary for this.  Any help appreciated.

I've finally written my first fully functional HTA script.  There's just one more thing I need help figuring out.  My script monitors a couple of specific services on my local computer and enters the name of the services and the status of each into a HTML table.  I have set it up to run completely in auto to restart services if they're not running, or I can Stop Auto to start or stop the services as I want.  What I need help with, is figuring out how to change just the color of the status of the service in the output table to red if it's in any other state but "Running".  It's not a big deal, simply for aesthetic value, but any help would be greatly appreciated!
