For a project I have a  Python PyQT4  application in full screen mode that is running on Windows 10.

This application has now to take photos.

Ideally the Photo  application would be a widget in pyqt and we could therefore design the layout (img size / exposure / flash / take picture buttons / etc), but it's also OK to use another full screen application, that could be started via subprocess.Popen().

The application would ideally be able to choose the image resolution, exposure, framerate of viewer window but it's also OK to take picture always with the highest resolution and to perform the downscaling afterwards.

Any suggestions of how to do this best?

Can anyone any good at photoshop but a new head (with peroxide in hair, so really just a face replacement) or new peroxide hair do to this face?
I have been working on it for ages.  The angles are odd and she seems to have a really narrow face or something is making it impossible to achieve.  I'd love the sunnies removed too, so maybe yeah a new blond face...
Can anyone help?

Hi,
 Although the program used to run smoothly on win98 and VB5 now cannot read the pixel info of an image (ie. jpg or gif) and therefore cannot proceed
 to calculate the Lab pixel values from RGB? In particular I have test pics of 100x100 pixel and program now reads 585x1890 !!  Any ideas?

 Following is the part of the program

Hi, i had a friend of mine, she brought her mac laptop (model below):

- MacBook Pro, Retina, 13-inch, late 2013
Processor 2.4GHs intel core i5, Memormy 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Serial Number: C02LG613FGYY

She showed me that her Storage is 50.49 of Photos but she is aware that in her iphoto folder only has about 10 photos and the rest she had deleted them. She is confused as to why her storage is 50gb of photos - maybe they are stored somewhere which we are not aware of? Please can you advise?

I have the following code which reads radiometric data from an image (temperature data)
     using (MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(Convert.FromBase64String(readTemperatureContents)))
            {

                BinaryReader br = new BinaryReader(ms);
                _temperatureData = new float[320, 240];

                for (int x = 0; x < 320; x++)
                    for (int y = 0; y < 240; y++)
                        _temperatureData[x, y] = br.ReadSingle();
            }

Open in new window

In this loop, I also need to build a semi transparent image, and depending on the value in
 _temperatureData[x, y] = br.ReadSingle();
I will need to color the pixel as white, green, blue or red (with a 50% transparency)

The overall result should see a lightly transparent color over the "hot spots"
I'm using asp.net, c#, framework 4.6

I've looked at system.drawing bmp but not sure if thats a bit old now or if there are better ways to do it
I would expect the image to be a  PNG as it can handle transparency well, and some pixel will be completely transparent, others will have a 50% transparency with a color overlay (like red)

after the loop is finished, i need to set the image on the web page:
<img runat="server" id="schemesImage" />

Open in new window

could anyone help me with this please

Hi

I have an image which is 320x240 pixels

When the user hovers over the image, it needs to show the selected (hovered) pixel data on the screen
I've got it working with the co-ordinates, however I have an object with other data that relates to the pixel

You can see here the pixels 0,0 = 280:
....instead of showing the coordinates, I need to show the reading which corresponds to those pixels as seen here:
pixeldata
I've attached a basic project which you should be able to fire up and instantly see it in action. (needs to be renamed as a rar file )

I'm guessing I need to write the code behind object to a Javascript object, and then use this on the hover?
any help appreciated here!

This is the command line that I am needing to convert:
convert maggie.jpg lisa.jpg bart.jpg homer.jpg marge.jpg -resize 100x100 \
null: \
\( -size 100x100 xc:black -fill white -draw "circle 50,50 50,88" \) \
-alpha off -compose copy_opacity -layers composite \
null: \
\( -size 100x100 xc:"graya(100%,0)" -fill black -draw "circle 50,50 50,90" -blur 0x5 \) \
-compose dstover -layers composite \
-background none -gravity center +smush -25+0 \
simpsons_circles2.png
Which looks like this:
[embed=file 1287865]

This is as far as i have gotten with translating the command line:
List<string> lFiles = new List<string>();

lFiles.Add(@"C:\Users\David\Pictures\1.jpg");
lFiles.Add(@"C:\Users\David\Pictures\2.jpg");
lFiles.Add(@"C:\Users\David\Pictures\3.jpg");
lFiles.Add(@"C:\Users\David\Pictures\4.jpg");
lFiles.Add(@"C:\Users\David\Pictures\5.jpg");

using (MagickImageCollection images = new MagickImageCollection())
{
       MagickImage magickinput = null;

       foreach (string tempFile in lFiles)
       {
            magickinput = new MagickImage(tempFile);
            IMagickImage _circle = new MagickImage();

            magickinput.Resize(100, 100);
            _circle = new MagickImage(MagickColor.FromRgb(255, 255, 255), magickinput.Width + 20, magickinput.Height);
            _circle.Draw(new DrawableCircle(50, 50, 50, 100));
            _circle.Alpha(AlphaOption.Off);
            //_circle.Compose....????

      }…

How do I build a asp.net vb.net page that retrieves a the URL (using LINQ) and display that in the page.

I have parameter that I can pass in Request.QueryString("MyParam") and using this I can get the URL out:
Dim db As New DatabaseDataContext
Dim MyParam As String = Request.QueryString("MyParam")
Dim MyURL As myTable = (From x In db.myTable Where x.field = MyParam).FirstOrDefault

Open in new window

Now that I have the URL I will need to fetch it and display this. The Images are NOT in the ~Image folder (outside application folder).
These images are of file types "TIFF".

I have used the Image control and various solution from the web but could not really make it work.

What is the correct method to achieve this? May be I need to use some other control?

Your help will be appreciated.

Hello,

I have a client who is using Publisher 2016. When we click on Insert> Online Pictures>,  we get the option for Bing Web Search and One Drive.

We select bing search, find the picture we want to insert  ( jpg, or png) and select insert. A convert to file dialog pops up. "Says convert file from" and has a list of formats. No matter what format I choose I get an message " an error occurred while importing this file."

 This feature works file for other users. I don't see any difference in their setup.

I'm working with some caricature artwork in Photoshop that I'm trying to export / save for web so I can use them on my website.  I've done this hundreds of times over the years and I've never had this problem, but suddenly I cannot get Photoshop to export a clean image.

Using Save for Web (and I've tried the different options for re-sampling, although I never had to mess with that in the past) I'm getting images that look like this:  https://snag.gy/p1vcDS.jpg

You'll notice it has a nasty, hard edge and isn't clean.  I can't figure this out for the life of me.  Again, I've done this many times and I've never had this problem exporting transparent PNGs out of Photoshop, but I just cannot get these to work.  It's even happening on artwork that I've done this in the past with and didn't have any issues.  I've also tried the general Export to PNG and it's doing the same thing.

The original artwork is available here.

EDIT:   When I use PNG-24 (or simply Export As instead of Save for Web) it looks fine, however, the image size is 60kb vs. the 18kb size I get with Save for Web.  The smaller file size looks perfectly fine except for the hard edge, and again, I've never had this issue before using it so I'm completely confused why this is acting this way all of a sudden..??

Any information on what could be going on here or how to get this working properly would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Preferences in firefox does not have files listed in file/applications. Every time I add a jpeg and then open firefox it switches the extension/app from preview to firefox as the open with. I have gone to fileinfo/changedtopreview/Are you sure you want to change all similar documents to open with the application “Preview.app”?/yes. Then the next time firefox is opened the jpeg files are switched back to open with firefox/default.

I got hundreds of small rectangle image pictures of a words that I cut open from a letter-page.
Question is  how to allow User to rearrange images visually to reconstruct a original or alternative story?

All kind of extras as game-like % to see how near constructed is to original would be good also, with print out option of final work.

First i can just copy them all in to Word-Blog and start re-arrange in there, but this ended up with a freezed session.

Also was thinking about some image gallery scripts that would randomize images  and would fill a page by adding  the rectangle images after each other in flat view (there would be no option to re-arrange but at least would be able to display the output some-kind in readable format).

Notes:
(image rearrange platform, web-script, flash puzzle like game where people can randomize images and then one by one order them up and down, after each other.  )

I am looking for a script where 5 levels of user can upload video and photos with title,description, caption and search all media using filter searching system. 1st level user can upload and set permissions whether lower level user can see it or not and whether it'll be public or private.

It's has no problem if you it's based on wordpress or raw php.

Hi All,

Photoshop anyways to automate some processes?

Repeatedly we use Celebrity images in our videos and we have to resize all to a specific size and add a template some simple border design and save all into a folder, can this process be automated in Photoshop?

Like we Import 10 images and it does
a. Resize all to equal sizes
b. Add frames
c. Saves all back to a folder with some numbering

Thanks

I got a requirement to store some documents and photos into a Cloud service provider.

Just wondering which one should be considered? How much budget should I allocated per annual?

As a startup, I need to have a storage of 2TB. Subsequently, I foresee an incremental growth of storage like 500GB is required for the following years and I also need that cloud service to be available in Asia.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thank you

I had this question after viewing Setup webcam to take photo every minute.

I don't even know if this is possible but I would like to automate a WiFi cam to email me a photo from my rooftop at regular intervals - say every half hour. I only want stills and want them emailed to a digital WiFi photo frame. The idea is to enjoy the view that I don't have but avoiding killing the broadband with continuous video streaming. I have heard about yawcam which seems to have this functionality, but appears to be for Windows only.
Thanks
