I a private school's IT services.  They have three campuses in three different towns however all three have very similar infrastructure.  They have the same SonicWall NSA2600, Dell Enterprise Switches, and separate VLANs for Faculty, Students, Guest and Security cameras.

The issue that I am having is when a classroom is assigned a project or task the requires the entire class to use their computers to access a single resource on the Internet.  I have a few examples with this but it doesn't seem to matter what the website is.  The first ten or so students to request the website will be able to resolve the web address and load the web page.  The remainder will end up with a connection timeout error trying to load the page.  And if those 10 or so who did load the page, if they hit refresh will get the same error as the rest.  If there is a break in the request to the page for about a minute it will load again.

They have a website hosted by GoDaddy and I have even contacted them to see if we were triggering any alarms or peaking any resources and they confirmed that we are not nor would they expect us to be with the account we have selected with them.  The error on the web browser "Connection Timeout Error"also does not coincide with  what would be witnessed had it been some kind of flood protection with them.

I have contacted SonicWall support and we have recreated the scenario at all three schools and review configurations on all three SonicWall devices to rule out …

Hi All,

Can anyone here please assist me in troubleshooting as to why my Outlook Web Access is randomly signing me off while reading or typing email ?

I also cannot access the below OWA option with HTTP ERROR 500:
Change OWA Account settings: https://owa.domain.com/ecp/?rfr=owa&owaparam=modurl%3D0&p=account
Change AD Password: https://owa.domain.com/ecp/?rfr=owa&owaparam=modurl%3D0&p=PersonalSettings/Password.aspx
Enable OWA Add On: https://owa.domain.com/ecp/?rfr=owa&owaparam=modurl%3D0&p=installed

However, when I manually type in the Public IP address or the server name instead of owa.domain.com, I can access the server with no problem.

This is my current deployment of the Exchange Server 2013 Standard Edition in my domain:

AD Site: Default-First-Site-Name
PRODMAIL14.domain.com [old CAS & MBX server]
PRODMAIL20-VM.domain.com [new CAS & MBX server]

AD Site: Head_Office
PRODMAIL42-VM.domain.com [CAS & MBX server]
PRODMAIL30-VM.domain.com [MBX server]

I have just created multiple A Record for OWA.domain.com and Autodiscover.domain.com pointing to my existing 3x CAS-MBX Exchange 2013 server roles.

Public DNS (A) records Round Robin:
OWA.domain.com – Public IP address of PRODMAIL14, PRODMAIL20-VM and PRODMAIL42-VM
Autodiscover.domain.com – Public IP address of PRODMAIL14, PRODMAIL20-VM and PRODMAIL42-VM

Internal DNS (A) records Round Robin:
OWA.domain.com – Public IP address of PRODMAIL14, PRODMAIL20-VM and PRODMAIL42-VM
Autodiscover

What do you consider the best Internet email option (POP3 or IMAP) for individual use? Why - what makes it good and what are its limitations?

Background:

We have been using mostly Verizon.net email. Recently Verizon transferred their email to AOL although we kept the same verizon.net email addresses. Service has deteriorated, especially for accessing email through a smartphone and the AT&T cellular network. Access through Outlook has not deteriorated as much although day-long outages have occurred.

We have personal Gmail and could switch to those although the lack of privacy from Google's practice of scanning content is annoying. We're willing to pay for a good email service. One possibility is Google's G-Suite although we would only use it for email and not use the other functions.

What do you think are the best email providers, including paid options? What are their strengths and limitations?

Thanks,
Pete

Is it impractical to use Verizon/AOL email from a SmartPhone through the AT&T cellular network, and do I therefore need to abandon my verizon.net email account?

Background:

I have two main email accounts - @verizon.net and @gmail.com. Since Verizon ported me over to AOL (while maintaining my verizon.net address) accessing my verizon.net email with my phone is problematic through a cellular connection. This was the case when I was an AT&T customer and is still the case when I am a Consumer Cellular customer accessing the AT&T network.

Frequently, the verizon.net email frequently cannot make the connection to the server from my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone using the cellular connection. This may happen a few times or even 20 times, and then a connection is made and email is received and sent.

The Verizon.net email works fine on the same phone through WiFi. The Gmail account works fine through both WiFi and cellular. Both accounts work fine through my Windows desktop computer.

The problem happened with the email account configured as POP3 and still occurs with the account reconfigured as IMAP. I use an SSL connection although I had the same problem using no encryption.

I see many mentions of this on the web. It seems widely attributed to incompatibilities between the AT&T, especially when accessed through a bulk provider such as Consumer Cellular, and AOL.

Is this the case? Is my only practical choice to stop using the verizon.net email address?

Thanks,

Looking to confirm

We have win 7 64bit (imaged ) and when I go to start and search for IE. I see  two IE's  & one IE No Add-one.
But don't see IE (64 -bit)
One of the two IE's points to
\program files\
And the other
\program files (x86)\
But when I open task mgr both show iexplorer.exe *32

So how do I know for sure if I'm using 64 bit instead of 32 bit????

Is there any free online Static QR Code Generator available?

Static means the QR Code will always work after a certain period of time.

And basically I would need it to link to a google map URL.

Tks

We have a web application that uses the client email to send email 'from'. We want to add an SPF record on the client's DNS (text records) to allow this. I need to confirm the syntax before I do so.

v=spf1 a mx a:mail.domain.com mx:domain.com ip4:XX.XX.XXX.XX ~all

"domain" being their domain name
XX.XX.XXX.XX being the IP of the server that hosts the web application

Please let me know if you think this looks correct or if any changes are needed.. Also what is the difference between mail.domain.com  and  domain.com

A few questions for some of my older relatives.

My parents pay double for Internet.  They pay for Comcast and MSN. They don't want to cancel MSN because they like their email accounts to be the same, xxxxx@msn.com, for their friends to contact them.

My mother-in-law lives with us.  We want to cancel cable TV and land line phone, and just do NetFlix and our cell phones.  We don't know much about Roku, Stream TV and that kind of stuff.  She likes to watch live TV, especially CNN.  And she doesn't know how people will get a hold of her if we cancel the land line phone.  She doesn't have a cell phone.  Years ago, my wife and I had Vonage, but that doesn't seem to be a thing any more.

Any suggestions???

I have  a web application that sends emails on behalf of the user. They register create a profile and enter their email address.

Then the application sends an email with their email address as the 'from' email.
The volume of emails is very low, and we currently use the local IIS SMTP server. So far no complaints.

I am trying to see if there is a better way to do this because sometimes the emails go to the SPAM. I am trying to see if there is a service out there that would allow us to use their service as SMTP relay and send those emails with their service, using the email addresses of our clients.

It is VERY unlikely that anyone would report an email as SPAM since they send those emails to their clients when they sign up or send them a letter, etc. only transactional emails no marketing and we don't need to keep a list of contacts anywhere either.

Please help.  Already checked POP, etc.  Everything is matching up with what it says on line.  Been using it for a long time and now this issue is coming up.  Sometimes brings up a box asking me to login again sometimes just gives an error screen that says operation timed out waiting for response from receiving POP server.

We only need a few email addresses and already have standard email with our domain (hosted by Godaddy). Can I use that email and add a service on or do I have to move my domain or choose different emails? What does everyone use?

thanks in advance

I am receiving the following error when truing to setup Microsoft Exchange 2013 on a new server. I have followed all of the instructions noted in Microsoft's guide:

Our employees use OWA on Exch 2010.
We have several contact folders within public folders.
In these contact folders are ..contacts.
Each contact has more than one email address.
When sending to the public folder "list", it sends to the primary, secondary and tertiary email addresses.

Is there a way to prevent this? We only want to send to the primary email address.

Thanks.

I recently implemented a standardized email signature at the company I am working at.  I am using remote images hosted on our website within the signature so that I can swap them out for fun themes for holidays and such.

I have run countless tests at mail-tester . com and all have come back positive.  With the exception of our mail server being listed on three spam lists since our email is through Gmail and that is out of our control.

I have an issue where about two of our clients simply cannot receive email from us when sent with the signature.  Without the signature, the mail delivers just fine but with the signature it just doesn't even get delivered.. not in inbox or spam folder.  It's as if it was never sent.

I've tried everything from updating our website's SPF record and dkim signature to allow the Gmail server to send on our behalf (something that probably should have been setup long ago) and the problem still persists.

Can anybody think of any reason that our signatures would be blocked.. albeit by a very small percentage of our client's mail servers?

I did see the below question that was asked back in 2011 but my emails have passed every tester that I've found.
