A web application that provides message management, composition, and reception functions is sometimes also considered an email client, but more commonly referred to as webmail.

Is this our issue or the receiving end?  anything I can try?
This started off as a SSL renewal. Clients were getting a pop-up saying their "Sites" SSL had expired and do you want to continue and then when they would continue it would ask them for their password multiple times. So the Sites certificate has been resolved and now they only get one pop up when they first launch Outlook for their password. We have tried to save the credentials and it still happens. No credentials listed in the Credential Manager. It is asking for their Network/Exchange password for their .local account not for their actual email account email. I have read through numerous settings for the autodiscovery/ews SSL settings and about KB2553248 (Which isn't on any of the user's systems). All of the suggestions I have read were either not applicable or didn't work in resolving this issue.

So my end question is what do I need to do to stop the Network/Exchange .local password pop up from appearing everytime they open Outlook 2010.
for some reason every time I try to access y history I find nothing. I have everything checked as not to delete history and it still not saved. need help. Why is this happening and how can I fix this.

Thanks   Basem
I have a couple Lenovo M98p desktops that when you click to open the .wav voice mail attachments in the inbox , Windows Media Player opens and plays, but no sound can be heard, speakers, desktop built in speaker, headset. I have checked that all other sounds do play fine, checked the volume control and mixer to verify the sound level and not muted, I have reinstalled the audio driver from the Lenovo Website and no luck. Win 7, SP1 64 bit, Office 2010, all updates installed.
We are getting some bounce back issues from 1 particular domain. I checked & tweaked the firewall and worked with MS on the exchange server but nothing is getting resolved. After further investigating - i figured it could be something on the perimeter such as records. Using mxtoolbox all our domains come back with INVALID SPF record.

Sender Policy Framework (SPF) records allow domain owners to publish a list of IP addresses or subnets that are authorized to send email on their behalf.  The goal is to reduce the amount of spam and fraud by making it much harder for malicious senders to disguise their identity.

Our Network: Using WebsitePanel we control all domain records. I would like to add SPF records but changes take about 24-48 hours.

Would an invalid SPF
1) cause other domains to reject email from us?
2) cause other domains to reject email from them?
I have an outlook 2007 user that moved to Citrix outlook 2010 and I need to import his .nk2 file to the Stream_Autocomplete file in Citrix.
We are about to virtualized exchange 2013 and was hoping someone could give basics about sizing to verify we are on right track.

10,000 users with 3GB mailbox size and 150 messages sent per day. I have also been asked to provide 99.999 uptime and I am not sure if DAG provides that high level.

Thanks for any helpful hints.

I recently had a browser incompatibility for a web application that many users need. As a work around I had them use firefox while I troubleshooted IE.

Now that I have IE sorted out, I want to force IE back as the default browser for all users.

I found that I can set each file extension (.url . html, etc) under user > Pref> Control Panel > Folder Options

This seems to work fine after some basic testing. It does not though, change the actual "Default Program" back to IE. So any desktop shortcuts still have a firefox icon and I'm sure I will run into other issues further down the road this way.

Is there a better way to do this besides by just file extenstion?

My domain controllers are server 2012 R2 and the workstations are windows 7 pro with Internet Explorer 11
My client has two iPhones (running iOS 7.1.2) which used to sync OK to Exchange Server 2007 (version 08.01.0436.000) which runs on their company server (SBS 2008, SP2).

The synchronisation suddenly stopped working.

I can setup a separate Android phone to sync OK to the same accounts.

I can setup the iPhones to sync OK to another Exchange server, using different accounts.

Can anyone please suggest how I can resolve this.

The only clue so far is the the SSL certificate on the SBS 2008 server has expired, if that makes a difference?

I have tried deleting/re-entering the problem accounts on the iPhones, but it makes no difference.
I have tried re-booting the phones and the server, but again it makes no difference.

Any suggestions anyone?
Win 7 pro laptop.  I can open up the internet with IE and it works fine but I cannot with Firefox.  When I enter an address it just blinks for a bit and does nothing.  Also all my spyware (malware bytes, spybot) and antivirus software (AVG) will not update.  Says it cannot get to the update server.
Hi all

We are having an issue with a new exchange 2013 install, we are trying to mount the mailbox DB and we are getting this error:

Failed to mount database "Mailbox Database 2103294586". Error: An Active Manager operation failed. Error: The database action failed. Any help will be great! :)

I'm trying to search through my e-mails in outlook 2010 using the indexing service and it doesn't seem to work, it just keeps claiming that it is indexing thousands of e-mails, it says it's indexing over 30,000 items?

I checked the settings making sure it's only indexing my e-mail inbox and not archives or other files on the computer, I don't understand where it's getting 30,000 items from.

I tried deleting my profile and re-adding it but it is still indexing hours on end?

I'm using an exchange server...

Thank you,
Running Exchange 2013 CU3 on a VM running Server 2012.

So... I need a distribution list, say, to have an automatic reply to every email.
I understand I have several ways of achieving this, but I obviously cannot have the actual distribution list reply, as it is not a mailbox.
So I can have a member of the distribution list have a server-rule to "have server reply....".

The issue is:
On Exchange 2013, by default, automatic replies on distribution lists are disabled. If you enable it then the rule gets applied, but along with it every sender will also receive out-of-office notices from every member of the list. That's a pain.

My question is:
Is there a simple way to have the rule (server reply) applied, but without having out-of-office notices going out to the senders?

Thanks for all replies!

I want to get in Outlook the emails sent to my gmail account.  This was possible on my previous laptop using the same versions of Windows and Outlook and the same settings. Now I get the message:
"Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for gmail.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for gmail.
Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' "
Can the Outlook 2010 spam filter be turned off at a system level.
Hello Experts – I decided to give this service a go as a trial. I can imagine that this service could be very helpful when stuck on a problem and also when overloaded. Thank you.

The issue that I am having is detailed below. I've also written a synopsis at the bottom if you don't care to read the entire scenario.

Our base image and software contains an outdated version of RealPlayer (v14.0.6.666) that due to extenuating circumstances will not be updated.

The RealPlayer software is displaying a webpage as its background. The webpage affirms that our version of RealPlayer is out of date, and is no longer supported. That's acceptable. What's troublesome is that it also displays a big fat orange 'Update Now' button.

Teaching our users to behave is one thing, but dangling a clickable update button in front of them can be too tempting even for our educated users who have privileged accounts. I would like to block this specific webpage across the entire domain.

I first tried to emulate my desired behavior by going into Internet Options, Privacy, Sites, Add and click Block. This works, but it blocks the entire domain, i.e. Since that didn't work, I looked into setting the Content Advisor, but then I started getting into 'ratings' and creating a 'supervisor password' and this didn't seem to be what I wanted.

I want to block the specific webpage

We do a lot of advertising on Google adwords. We also get a lot of leads through Google organic search. We don't have straight up sales on our website. We collect leads (free trials) and then, the leads are passed on to our sales team.

They follow up with the leads and close the sales. I need a way to map revenue back to the keyword, ad group and campaign. Is this possible?

How do I do it?
I have a user that has about six different e-mail accounts configured in Outlook 2013.  I had to create a new user on the same computer that needs these exact same e-mail accounts.  Is it possible to copy these e-mail account settings to the new user so I don't have manually input all the different pop and imap settings?  I know how to import and/or open the data files.  That is not my question.  ;-)

Thank You.
I sent an email from home on my yahoo email.  My boss went onto my work computer and I was still logged into my yahoo email one day and saw the email - it was applying for another job.  They fired me and are saying that because I sent it from work, they had a right to read it because it was on their server - I really know it was my snooping boss.
I KNOW I sent this email from home on my personal laptop.  Is there a way to prove this somehow?  Like find the MAC address in the code or something?  Get the records from yahoo?
I talked to a lawyer to told me that if I can prove it, he will take the case.
I'm running Exchange 2007 on a Windows server 2008. We have 110 users and a mailbox database size of 180GB. Would it be wise to create an additional database and move over some of the users to shrink the size? I read that an ideal 2007 database size is 100GB. If so, can someone point me in the right direction as far as getting this setup?

We got over 5000 customers. We need be able to send them emails either when there are some technical difficulties with the service or just newsletters. We want to have them capability to unsubscribe. When they click unsubscribe button they should be able to decide if they want to unsubscribe from newsletter only, technical updates only or both.
Right now we got all these customer in SQL base. I can easily export list and to a software, if one like that exists, or if possible maybe just add some tables to SQL and use list straight from there. That would be maybe even better, since when we have new customers, we won't need to update email list. We do not want to spend too much time and money on this, so the easiest solution is the best one.
We do not want to use a service either. We will not upload our customer email list to someone's server. That's not happening.
All ideas and suggestions are appreciated!
Got one particular user who is getting emails to one external email address bounced all the time with the following error:-

Requested #<Requested #5.0.0 smtp;550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable> #SMTP#

To clarify:-

1. User can sent to other external email addresses.
2. From the same domain, I can send to this external user with no problems.

Could it be that user is on some sort of spam list that bigfish does not like?
I would like to use an html web form in an intranet setting, which users can input data into, and it will save to a mdb file.
Any user should have the ability to update the form, through the html page, so that the next user that opens the same page will see the latest data which has been input.
The html file and the access database mdb file will be stored in a folder on server 2008.
I have noticed an issue when downloading attachments from outlook web access or gmail when I select to save the filename is changing to a random string of about 100 characters and the file doesn't save. Is there a fix for this other than using a different browser.
Does anyone know how to export email out of Office-logic Interchange into a format that can be imported into Exchange?  I can't seem to find any way of making this happen.
