Hey Guys/Gals -
I need your understanding on an email being hacked. My client had his Google account severely compromised about a year ago. His account was actually accessed from Siberia.

He recently was notified through a friend that he had received an email looking as if it came from him. This time, however, the email was not from his gmail account, they just used his name He said some of the people it was sent to were from his contact list but not all.

Do you feel his gmail email account has been hacked or simply leftovers from the earlier event?

I did have him change his password.

What are your ideas and suggestions?

Thank you,
Recently I setup an Exchange 2016 Server. Everything looks fine except the Exchange 2016 default Receive connector allows internal relay.

Eg: Two emails and in my domain An anonymous user can send emails to on behalf of (no authentication required). But if anonymous user try to send email to using, Exchange will refuse to send it.

May I know how could I do to restrict user authentication even for emails in the internal domain? I cannot disable the Anonymous users otherwise Exchange server will not receive any emails.
Hello Experts,

I have a end user who's IE 11 has stopped letting him un-dock and drag his currently open webpages to his second monitor.  you can only open multiple tab's inside the one explorer.  If he wants to move his open  web pages to his second screen he has to minimize his current window and drag it to the other screen.  Any idea what causes this or how to fix it?

Thank you,

Each day, a particular user constantly get locked out of his computer. We always need to unlock his domain account to allow him to log in. I believe he has a session somewhere on another machine, where we need to log him out. This happened after he changed his domain password.

I use a lockout tool to trace the source:
I then check the DC security log, and the client address (highlighted) points to an Exchange server. However, the user would not have access to log into our server. So, I am thinking that maybe he needs to set his new password on a mobile device (cell phone). However, the user mention that he does not use email on his cell. I know the lock out is occuring somewhere within email, but cannot trace exactly where. Anything I can try to resolve this issue?
Just updated to IE 11 and since the update, All PDF files downloaded from IE  that a user saves to a shared folder gets a lock icon and no other user can open it.
When saved to a privet folder (not shared) it save without the lock
With Chrome I do not have the issue even when saving to a shared folder
I am using Google Calendar to schedule bookings for a local community centre and it works well in the main. One problem I have though is that while the times are entered on the calendar correctly, the email notifications sent to some recipients seem to have the time shown incorrectly. I cant see any reason for this....  suggestions welcome.
I have a client that is in need of the browsing history for a location due to legal issues with an employee.  I was asked if I could get the browsing history from the ISP as there is no equipment onsite that has any of this data stored.  I called the ISP (Windstream) and was told that they do not store this information and that it would be illegal for them to do that as it would be an invasion of privacy.  Now, much of what I read online says differently.  Since I am not an expert on these issues I thought I would come here.  Does anyone have any information on whether that information indeed exists and, if so, how to obtain that information.

I've searched everywhere trying to find a solution, tried a bunch of different things, and nothing has solved the problem. It's all over the Internet and appears clear that this is a universal problem, not a local machine problem. Certainly after all this time, someone must have found a solution. Desperate to get IE working again.
MS Exchange 2010 and WHM Exim with same domain - How do configure them to share Emails with the same domain?
A friend of mine has 2 Hotmail accounts. When he accesses them in a browser, one of them shows up in an "" window, the other in a window labelled "Outlook Mail".

In the window he can do anything you can usually do with emails and text. In the Outlook Mail window, he can look at attachments, but he is unable to select and copy any text. Hence, whenever he wants to do that he has to forward it to the account. In both instances the browser he uses is IE 10.

Does anyone know what this "Outlook Mail" thing is? I have never come across it before. Is there anything he can do to migrate that account to

As a rant on the side, I support a number of people of all backgrounds, and I have grumbled for a long time about M$'s use of the names Outlook, Outlook Express, - and now Outlook Mail. Finding help on the internet for any of them is extremely awkward as you have to wade through irrelevant answers for all the other flavours,
Dear EE experts,

We would like to ask for tech support on how to create Email alert when due date is approaching using SharePoint Workflow.
SharePoint 2013.
We have a list with this fields:
- Username
- Password
- Email
- Setup Date
- Password Expire

What we want to happen is to set an alert, Email alert to the user(s) 5 days before their password expiration arrives.
We've created other workflows with Email alert already, but that workflow is sending email to ALL and not to single user only.
But with this workflow, we want one or several users to receive an email separately, 5 days before their password expires.

Thank you and hope to hear soon...
I need to monitor a particular website so I can be emailed when it changes. Someone told me that there are free tools to this end.

Does anyone have a suggestions?

I am having a repeated problem with Thunderbird. It often, but not always, comes up with  a popup asking me to add a Security Exception for one mail address. If I confirm an exception it sometimes just repeats the popup, and sometimes loops to another email account. When it is in this state I cannot get into any email account. According to Bluehost support it may be something to do with SSL and they suggest taking this off, as well as changing some port numbers. But then sometimes I disconnect and can access the mail normally without doing anything other than run up Thbd again. They say they don't support 3rd party applications.
I have received many threat mails to me sent it by gmail account , how I know it htis sender from my Internal organization or not , otherwise how i can know his IP address if he used and external way .
As part of some intrusion detection scripts I run on linux, I send email to an external address.  I have a Centos 7 box on which this does not work -

1. firewalld is off and masked out
2. selinux is off and disabled
3. ping to the server works, network connectivity is fine
4. another centos 7 box on the same network sends to the same server with no problem at all (not connection releated)
5, telnet to the server on port 25 times out as well
6. port 25 to ANY server appears to time out

It would seem to me that this has nothing to do with:
1. my connection
2. postfix config
3. typical blocking packages (firewalld, iptables, selinux)

I am at a loss - thoughts?
I've been googling this and can't seem to find a website or google maps or anything that does this:

You want to drive between point A and B.  They are, say, 12 hours apart.  I'd like to get a hotel roughly 6 hours into the trip and finish the trip the next day.  Can't seem to find a way other than brute force to see where x hours into a Y hour route would be.

any help / advice?
Over the last year, a friend has sent me some messages:
1. I got an email from  you earlier which wasn't from you from (myname)

2. I got another spammer email from you, address it came from was

3. Today: got another email from "you" at this address...  (myname)

Any idea why she'd be getting these? Is the problem on her side? Thanks.
I have well over a thousand bookmarks which can be divided in a few hundred categories & sub-categories.
I want to be able to access and update them from any PC on my network (or in an internet cafe).

What would be your favourite solution?

An online solution with a reasonable annual fee would be my preferred solution.
I am wary of free services because they come and go and have adverts.

(I'm also open to any offline solutions)
I have a computer that doesn't seem to want to open IE 11 URL's from Google searches after Windows 10 was upgraded. I get the error:  Internal Error: Missing Template ERR_Connect_Fail

Has anyone seen this? I tried making Edge the default browser, it didn't help.
I have verified that IE 11 has all of the defaults.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling IE 11 from Control panel, add/remove programs.

i have an issue with IE 11 and recover web page error after a few minutes of browsing.
I have manually disabled ALL ADD-on'S.
The only way it works without crashing/freezing is ( iexplore.exe-extoff ),

so one question is, what does, ( iexplore.exe-extoff ), do  that is extra than me manually turning off ALL ADD-ONS?

thank you
I'm just learning a bit about email and original source ,but not enough to fully understand it.

You have an IP - which there is many sites that trace that ,but every site shows you a different answer so its not accurate.
Then theres SMTP and ESMTPSA .

If someone could explain what or if how you actually locate.

Thanks :)
Dear EE experts,

We would like to ask for tech support on how to fix hotmail email sychronize problem with Microsoft Outlook 2010?
Does Microsoft support for email to setup on MS Outlook (using IMAP setup)?
Because we tried 2 email setup to our MS Outlook, using IMAP setup, it worked, can receive, send, and delete emails. And the emails/folders are all same. But with this email, we did the same settings but we received error, one of its error is: "... 0x8DE00005 There is an error synchronizing your mail account. Error 3219..."
We even tried to set it up using the easiest way, using the Hotmail outlook connector, but still got errors...

We are now wonderin' if Microsoft still support to setup using IMAP setting into MS Outlook...

Thank you and hope to hear soon...
I am not sure what happened but I can not access my outlook 2016. When ever I click on the outlook 2016 short cut in the task bar this window opens up see capture. Please help me restore my outlook that is very important to me.
Had a call on Friday regarding a PC or Pc's that are infected with Zepto ransoware.

The problem started with one of the tills "going down" and not working as it should so they called
the people who look after the specialized till software who came in remotely to a PC which they
look after and acts as a serverfor their software. After looking around in one of their system folders
they found an html file called _1_HELP_instructions.html. They must have then opened this which
then displays the standard all of your files are encrypted etc. In the folder there are also 3 files with a
zepto extension which may jut be word documents and may not affect how the program works.

They then said that this is why it wasn't working properly and this type of infection is probably caused by an email. The pc in question isn't used for anything else apart from running this softare and linking to the tills. There is no email account on it.

In the same room there is another pc that does use email. This is by the look of it also affected with the Zepto as all the word documents have the html file and the .zepo extension.

It is obviously infected but this pc has Norton3 60 Premier on it so if the user had opened an infected email wouldn't this have stopped it.

I called in yesterday to have a look and have run  full Norton scan and also malwarebytes but
it comes back clean.

I have also looked at the Norton logs on the day in question - I was told the problem started around …
