What is the best time length for an online seminar?

I plan to give a live seminar that I expect will take up the morning, perhaps from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

But I want to offer this via the web also. It will be live, but wonder if people have different expectations for webinars?

I have been told it should be no longer than 2 hours. But this would force me to make a shorter version of the seminar, and I wold need to take out important information.

What are your thoughts about the length and if I really should reduce the amount of content?

Or, if I take breaks and let people stretch, is three hours of sitting about the same, regardless of where it is?

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

I am interested in uploading resumes and cover letters for other people to LinkedIn.  Seeing that I am new to this social media platform, I am wondering what steps would be necessary to accomplish this goal.   A link to a video illustration would be perfect.

           Thank you

Can anyone recommend a free or almost-free Keyword analysis tool?
Every year or two I want to do a little keyword/phrase research for SEO purposes.
I used to use Google's Keyword Tool but can't seem to find it.
I need suggestions for companies that host websites along with email pop accounts. Features I must have are:
1. 7/24/365 telephone support.
2. "Handholding" to transfer my small present website and all the email accounts that are associated with my domain name.
3. The host company must allow Filezilla to ftp information to my new site.
4. Ability of the host company to realize that not all people are internet experts and willing to provide information to utilize their services without exhibiting a demeaning attitude when I don't know the answer to a particular question or situation.
5. NO extra charge for additional email accounts. Go daddy seemed like the perfect answer to my requirements but then advised me of a ten dollar charge each year for each email address! I use 20+ email addresses to sort out who is responsible for spamming me then just simply delete that account and establish more email accounts.
6. The reason for all this is that I was with IXwebhosting and they sold my account to another organization that cannot or  will not answer simple questions directly and now have NO phone support. No phone support does not work for me.  I spent 90 minutes on chat simply to get my account unlocked and a transfer code provided to me to switch companies.

Suggestions Experts?
Getting started with EventBrite

I am new to the web seminar business and need to rely on proven platforms for max guidance, so I cam spend my time prepping my seminar.

Has anyone used EventBrite for ticket sales?

Organizing event schedules and attendee lists?

would be happy to hear from you and perhaps with some guidance about the steps I need to take.

Quickly getting sales for my in-person tours of Boston

I have a tour planned to provide an in-person view of some shocking discoveries I have revealed in my book. And I need to find quick ways to sell tickets.

Topics are very juicy... 9/11 and Boston architecture which heralded in the attacks, BEFORE 2001.

I would consider old-fashioned methods, like having someone hand out brochures in busy places. Advertising in publications, but that takes time to get established.

But I suspect the high-tech options are more scalable and cheaper.

I MAY use EventBrite to sell tickets since I want people to be able to buy tickets on their mobile devices, and really do not want ti reprograms my WordPress site, just to have a sub-optimal solution.

I will eventually need a FaceBook page, to help spread referrals. But I would consider prioritizing that Facebook page if that were to be the prime way to promote the tours.

What kinds of things should I consider when making my decision about how to promote and manage my tours?

PayPal and/or Square?

I have a merchant PayPal account and a PayPal card swiper. And I am about to start offering in-person tours where I want to accept cash-less payments.

I need to accept as many payment methods as possible, and hopefully turn away no one.

Can I use PayPal to process credit cards without requiring someone to log onto their PayPal account?

Does PayPal accept AMEX and Discover?

If I purchased the EMV Chip Reader from PayPal, is there any reason to use SQUARE?

On a second note...

Does SQUARE offer a lower discount rate than PayPal?

I would consider using both PayPal and SQUARE if they have complementing services.

We have a client that wants to start getting involved in social network having presence in Tweeter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.  Not only posting its business “news” or “new product” but articles of interest that come upon on a daily bases or even re-post articules or contents from other business partners, etc.

Besides the fact the client wants to know what  is the best way to start, one concern is posting data.  That  is comments, pictures, etc.

We want to know how to go about posting an issue through all these social networks.

For example, we found an artificial intelligence topic interesting and wanted to post it.  We download the article, download some images, prepare it and posted to Facebook.  How do the user go about  to modify contents prior posting to all Tweeter Facebook LinkedIn Instagram Pinterest? Or is there a way that the user can creat a “template” and then post them to all?
I want to create a website for my online retail store (medium to large inventory) and I am greatly considering Shopify. Can anyone here share their experience with Shopify? What are the pros and cons? I've spoken to a representative and found many pros. However, I would love to hear from people who have used it.

Additionally, how easy are their templates to modify? I have front-end experience but it's very basic and I also don't want to spend a lot of time coding. I'm looking to modify colors, fonts, buttons, pretty much everything on the front-end. Are there any templates you recommend?
Need to charge by the minute for online seminars

I have a subject which is super captivating...but so new, people may fear spending money up front for a ticket to my inline seminar.

I'd like to find a way to "charge by the minute".

When they cut out, their bill is calculated.

There could be the first five minutes free, for example.

Does this exist??

Need to launch a nationwide speaking tour but need a plan involving Social Media Marketing

I have a timely book whose message needs to be heard by the world, ASAP. And I hope to start a tour going from Boston to New York City, then on to Washington, the general routes of the carnage on 9/11/2001. I want book signings at various book sellers, some small free presentations at locations where I would get a warm audience and live presentations where I will sell tickets. It's the ticket sales which will be paying my travel costs, I think, rather than the books sales.

So, I look to my ability to schedule online presentations at no cost as the way to generate the traction I can use as I start to book physical speaking engagements.

For example, I am thinking about using online presentations like a Ted Talk, or even crowd funding to get it going.

You can see, my book topic is like none other, and has wide appeal, given it contains the secrets of secret societies, hidden in plain sight. And it proves there is much we do not know about America's history of massacres, on the occult date of 9/11 (September 11th in America and November 9th in Hitler's Germany)

What is involved with making a Ted Talk?
What can you tel me about Crowd Funding?

I WILL use someone like GoFundMe. The 5% is NOT AN ISSUE for me.

I want quick…
Hi, I wonder if I could get a little advice with regards to the direction I should go with my website please. I'm an independant Windows software developer and I'm about to release a major upgrade of my one of my softwares "The DataSurgeon" ( Up till now, sales have been pretty thin, partly I suppose because marketing is not my strength, and also being a one-man show - I don't have a lot of time for it while trying to simultaneously do software development. Partly too, is that the software itself is sort of a multi-purpose package and I find it hard to explain it in a succinct, brief and "punchy" way (hence the reason why my current site is so wordy). It's a unique and specialized software for people who work with very large raw data files (ie. data warehouse, data archivists, IT back office people, contact list vendors/brokers, etc). It lets them (1) Easily do complex queries at a very low character-level (2) Modify/fix those found matches (3) Perform tallies and aggregates on the matches found. In effect, it does things easily that normally one would need to hire a programmer to accomplish - I guess that's my best angle here. I really don't know what to compare it to other than an easy to use "regex engine" or "grep software" without the learning curve. And again, it's much more than that.

Anyway, the existing format/layout of my website is clearly not hitting homeruns. I realize the current capture page is not the best and fanciest thing going, …
In the past week I had two clients that a spam email was send out from their email to all their contacts. Thy wanted to notify all their contacts that this was a spam and not open or reply, just delete.

The simple way would be, sending out an email to all their contacts, but when google seas such kind of activity from one email sending out to this many email addresses it will mark it as spam or block it.

What I did, I export all contacts and was looking for a company that will not charge monthly since I don’t need a monthly plan [have no issue to pay on the project], most company’s I googled charge monthly at it’s designed for marketing project. I found a company which gives up to 2500 emails free. But 1- most email landed in spam 2- it’s difficult to use it for such type of task, it’s designed for marketing with lot of fields to fill out, make the work complicated and slows the process. And in  this case we need quick and simple action.

I am sure there is a quick and efficient way to handle such cases, any advice?
Need to create a Nook version of my book

I have my soft-cover book selling at Amazon, Barnes and Nobles and I also have a Kindle version.

I was shielded from the complexity of creating Kindle by Amazon's automation. So, how do I make a Nook version?

I use Word Mac 16.11.1 but can also upload a PDF.

I got only B&N via Ingram Spark. Do I use Ingram Spark to create a Nook version?

Also, I sell my Kindle version for $9.99 and was told I get about a 65% royalty, so long as I give an exclusive for 90 days on digital content. Will making a Nook version put me at risk with Amazon?

Nowadays, PayPal is one of the most widespread payment systems all over the world. It makes internet payments easy and quite fast. Even online gaming providers which have the premium content option or gaming staff for real money are accepting PayPal in their products. What is more surprising, even online casinos like ones from this list allow you to make payments with it from your account. So I am interested in your opinion about it. How do you think, why it is so popular?

I have a client who has 60 hospital clients throughout the US. They are looking to grow but we want to see what attributes these 60 clients might have in common as compared to all of the other hospitals around the US. We'll have access to all kinds of volume, demographic, and other financial information to use in this comparison. What would be the best tool to have the system try to suggest where there might be a disproportionate amount of hospitals that have xyz characteristic in the 60 existing clients as compared to the rest of the US? I have access to IBM Cognos, Tableau and even a free trial of Watson. I just would rather not go through all 200 characteristics of all potential hospital clients one by one manually in order to stumble into one that might be a key attribute we can use to target other similar clients for sales efforts.

A deli wants to offer free wifi, but would like to capture the email addresses of the free users.

They would like to:
  • Put up a screen with a disclaimer/agreement for service  -  that the user sees when they initially connect to the WiFi network
  • Ask for an email address, which then grants access to wifi
  • Record the email addresses

Is there any inexpensive software that can do this?  They have researched services which charge $100+ a month, but they are on a budget while they are starting up.

A user wants to change his listings on many informational websites, because they have written him up as being a partner of a company that he was never a legal partner of.

Can someone recommend an established and professional service that can make corrections?

I suppose that I can contact every website I find with this incorrect listing, and request a change, but I assume that there must be a corporate service of some sort that has experience, and can accomplish this rapidly.

Dear experts, appreciate your assistance.

I have used a marketing software to send marketing materials.  The emails are sent with the address via this software.  Is there a way I can hide this software's mail server name.

Thank you in advance.
Does an old domain that points to a replacement domain and website hurt the search ratings?

I heard it does.

What is the best way to accomplish this?

The user feels that the apartments they rent out have been unfairly reviewed on Google reviews.  Some of the reviews are over 5 years old. They have lots of maintenance records to support that they took care of any repair needs that the renters had, and a long history of good service.

Is there anything they can do to remediate the old reviews? Any insight into the process of Google Reviews?

Is there any way to remove adverts from embedded youtube videos on a webpage? I am imagining the answer is no, but I am just asking in case anyone knows of any way to do this. I assume the only way is to get the owner of the video to remove monetisation from the settings for the video, thereby removing the adverts.

Here is an example of a Justin Bieber embedded video (I just went with something I knew would have adverts) and right enough, there is an advert, right over the top.

So if anyone knows of a way to stop adverts from playing, I would be grateful to know. Thanks.
I am a software engineer and my personal Linked In page has hundreds of links, mostly to recruiters. They send me requests and I accept them sometimes.

But I have a couple of new topics where the power of Linked In may come in handy.

I have a business that has services which save merchants many thousands of dollars, and for which I intend to create a "sales funnel."

Can this be a distinct Linked-In page? How is it linked to my personal? The less, the better, I think.

Also, I have a book to launch, and hope to use whatever experience I gain on building a "sales funnel" for my business, would also apply for my launching my book.

It seems like I need two new Linked-In Pages. Or Profile?

How do they connect?

I have no problem with a large division, since I prefer that my book does not get in the way of business.

I was once told that ending a sale on Sunday at 6PM PST was best for maximum prices on auctions. That meant it was 9PM EST and Sunday, the most people were browsing Ebay.

Is this true?

I find myself holding back a sale until that time each week, so I can end at the time, but this slows me down.

I have a laptop to sell, and wanted to hit the sweet spot on that.

So, I wanted to ask.

A customer of mine complaines that she has fallen down on her Alexa ranking. On 01/05/18 she was on rank 36.699 (approximately).
On 01/08/18 she was on a one >70.000 !
This is really weird. On 01/05/18 (during the night) there was heavy load (load average over 30). So I blocked 2-3 IPs. (but I am not aware of blocking Alexa spiders).
Any ideas what could have happened ?
