When I try to delete .MOV files from my iPhone X (running iOS v 11.2 (15C114) while this iPhone is connected to my Windows 10 computer using the USB cable I get a message that says "[Filename.MOV could not be deleted. You do not have permission to delete this item" (see the screenshot).

What process can I use to delete all of the .MOV files? Can this be done through iTunes?

I currently have 99 of these files and need to delete all of them.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 11 up to date.

I first noticed that the App Store indicated 3 updates were available and I tapped on Update All.

Next time I looked, there were 13 app updates, including the previous 6 which were still installing.

This process has continued day after day for about 10 days and there are now 56 app updates in the process of being installed, during which of course they cannot be used.

It seems the App Store updater has “stalled” or “frozen”.

I have tried shutting down and restarting the phone and also logging out and back in from iTunes and my Apple ID. I’ve also tried turning off auto downloads of apps.

I’ve even deleted some of the apps that it’s *still* trying to update.

How can I fix this? It won’t be long until EVERY app on my phone will be unusable whilst being updated.

hi folks

my only iPad 2 worked very well on iOS 6.1.3 (10B329) as i mainly used it for PDF reading, music listening and YouTube playing, until a few days ago. now YouTube no longer works once it was fully terminated and started again, it just shows a simple message in the middle of screen: Update required. Quit or Update. no option works for me, Quit doesn't make sense, while Update just downloads the same version again. again,e it is on iOS 6.1.3.

however, i notice a few interesting facts.

1. if the app is deleted and reinstalled again, it can work with full functions as long as i don't terminate the app. i have to always keep the app in memory, because once quited and it will no longer work agin.

2. once the app has been in the "disabled" status while only showing the "update required" message, it can play a video if its link is clicked from web browser. but the screen is dimmed with the above message shown in the middle of screen. there is no control  to the video this way, it just plays the video from the beginning to the end. that's it.

initially i thought it was a certificate issue, as i guessed the old iOS no longer recognised the new certificates deployed to the YouTube servers. but this is not the case, i have manually installed GeoTrust root certificate and Google Internet Authority G2 certificate for all Google domains. it didn't help at all.

any thoughts please? how can i make the old YouTube app work again on my iPad 2 running iOS 6.1.3?…

How can this be done?

I want to record everything happening on my iPhone screen. Kind of like Techsmith Camtasia only I want to record my iPhone 6S iOS 11 screen, not my windows PC.
Which app does this?
I would like the output to be an MP4 file. I want to edit it in Premiere Pro or Camtasia, or some other tool.

Hi, I baught an iPhone 7 through a family plan at atnt and I am not the account owner of the atnt account (just a "family member"), so I have no real control over the account that I am a part of. I am not tech savvy at all only what Ive learned on my own through the years. And this is my first Apple device. So when I first tried to set up my apple account on day of purchace I was not successful, and it took over a week for me to get my phone set up with apple account. Now a year later Ive had this device now, Ive had several privacy problems with this device, and learned that (I believe) I was added to the family plan as a minor. I am 57 yrs old. This friend whos plan I joined due to my present financial difficulties has 2 sons that are advanced in the field of technology, and the oldest having several degrees in technology, can write code, has been emlpoyed as an IT for a financial company, is very much "in the know " about tech, and who is the admin of the home wireless network (wireless) that I often connect to . Now I do alot of research on the internet and have tried to learn as much as possible about protecting my privacy as possible, especially under these circumstances, but I have found ( without a doubt ) that Ive been being served up false web pages/sites on my device, especially on this topic but also on many others also. I am not sure if what they are doing in order to "gaslight" me is even legal but regardless Im at the end of my rope with all of this and just …

Two users experienced this issue over the weekend.
One was a meeting from a few months ago.
The other from several years ago.

In both cases, the users were not in the office and were
accessing their emails from their iOS devices.

I found some info online showing this may be the issue.
https://kb.intermedia.net/article/1875

In fact, this fits their issue - they are either
a) attendees to their own meeting
b) delegate to an attendee in the meeting

I brought this up to both of them and they deny taking any action on their iOS device.

Is there any logs I can review which will show if this is true?
Logs that will show:
a) device accessing email
b) action taken on specific emails
c) Other useful information?

I can see the timestamps of the sent meeting reminders in the Exchange message tracker but that's not much use becuase it doesn't show what sent the email or what triggered it.

My boss has a new iPhone8. I've set him up to access the IMAP server at the office. Inbox works just fine and he can send messages. The problem is that the Sent and Trash folder on the iPhone do no synchronize with the server. Apparently, this is not an uncommon problem since I've found lots of posts about it. However, none of the instructions I've found so far seem to work. How do I do this?

EDIT:
The mail server is Dovecot IMAP. The iPhone is using the normal mail facility, nothing special or 3rd party. The selected server setup is 'Other'. Inbox synchronization works. Messages deleted on the iPhone, and sent messages are not synchronized with the corresponding folders on the IMAP server.

I want to write some JQuery or javascript that will make clickable the first column (currency) in this table and copy the text from column two (Wallet) to the clipboard.  I need it to work for most browsers and IOS / Android.

This is a JQuery datatable in an ASP.Net / Razor environment.

<table id="dt_LiveCoinWallets" class="table table-striped table-bordered table-hover table-condensed">
                            <thead>
                                <tr>
                                    <th title="Click to select column">
                                        <h3>Copy</h3>
                                    </th>
                                    <th>

I own an iPhone 5SE. I'm not sure which version of iOS I'm running, but I know it was updated within the last weeks.

While lying on my desk, my phone suddenly started talking. I don't remember what was being said, but when I picked up the phone there were messages scrolling up the screen. I'm not sure that the phone's vocalizations corresponded to the text. Most of the messages I saw were exhorting me to call someone. For example, "Call Ryan." I don't know whether any of the names represented people I actually know, because the messages did not include last names.

When I saw a message about Apple Pay, I decided it was time to shut down the phone. It sure feels like my phone has been hacked. At this point, I'm afraid to turn it back on. If a reset will fix the problem, I'm willing to wipe everything out and start from scratch. I'm guessing that someone at the Sprint store or an Apple Store could help. What do you recommend?

We have a big challenge activating an app to our hundreds of corporate iPhones & iPads:
our MTP vendor Lookout said the users need to manually tap on the app that we push
down by MDM MobileIron.

Users simply ignore or can't follow email instructions to tap so I'll need to explore a way
that we can auto-activate the Lookout app or push down an already activated app :
is this possible?  Just like SCCM could auto-push down patches to Windows.

If it can't be auto-activated the moment it's being deployed/pushed down, is this a
limitation of IOS, MDM or the Lookout app?

The ipa is integrated with our MobileIron.  The Lookout app  (& icon) is pre-licensed,
not the copy from Appstore which will require users to enter the license/serial key.

I am having issues getting Skype of Business to open on iOS with my internal lync 2013 setup. A few years ago I was able to install the cert from the lync server onto an iOS device but this no longer seems to be working.

When I attempt to sign in I get the message "We can't connect to the server. Check your network connection, advanced options and try again."

I have had a user try this on android and it downloads and installs the cert and works without issue. This is only happening on iOS it seems.

I am only trying to get this to work on my internal network, external access will be down the road. Any help with this would be great!

My iPad mini is slow opening apps and it’s getting frustrating.  When purchased it wasn’t slow rather it was fast.  This iPad mini i think is the second model that came out, its model ME276E/A.  When I googled it it says it’s an iPad min 2 series.

How can I make this device return to be fast?  (Note, from 16gb capacity, it has 3gb available, it’s version IOS 11.2.5, 16 apps, 90 songs, 1 photo)

I setup a Barracuda firewall and IPSec VPN for iOS clients to connect via the VPN.  When connected to IPSec, we have did all of the normal tests with DNS, http, https.  The barracuda shows all traffic passing through it.  I don’t know what to do.  We have a packet dump from the barracuda that shows the traffic passing back to the iOS device, so the website should load, but its not.

hello. I like to use my IPad like a laptop. I create a VPN and Remote Desktop into my SQL server. I noticed that when I use the apostrophe in IOS in a Sql statement it comes up as an unidentifiable character

For example. Select * from account where account “ ‘1111111’

This will not work because SQL does not recognize the iOS apostrophe

Is there a work around for this?
