The iPhone is a smartphone made by Apple Inc. It and the iPad, along with several other mobile devices from Apple, run on the iOS operating system, which has its own topic, as does the iPad for device-specific questions. Native iOS applications are written in Objective-C or in Swift using the Cocoa Touch frameworks or HTML5 compiled with the help of a package manager such as Adobe PhoneGap; a common IDE is Xcode.

Yesterday we completed my migration to outlook 365.

Any ideas? I have tried

- toggeling sync of the calendar

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,
I have an user with iPhone 6 and 7 plus. her device is making lot of foldersync request. is it normal for device making so many foldersync call throughout the day ?

issue I'm having is, when device keep making Folder Hierarchy sync request, sometime the device go through full sync and reload entire mailbox.

I turned on the debug log for the device, I see <SyncKey>0 </SyncKey>, zero mean device is requesting full foldersync and sometime it leads "Invalid synchronization key or synchronization state corrupted on server" with status code 3.
The device is constantly doing full device sync almost in every couple days.

my question is, why the iphone device is making so many foldersync request ? is this coming from device issue or is on Exchange server itself ?

the user do have lot of folders over 3500 folders but she isn't creating new folders everyday. but her device still making lot of folderSync and then device did a full sync.

RequestBody :
<?xml version=""1.0"" encoding=""utf-8"" ?>
<FolderSync xmlns=""FolderHierarchy:"">
      <SyncKey>0</SyncKey>

Hello,

I am trying to help one of my friends. He made a backup from his old iPhone using ITunes. Then when he bought his new I phone 7 the tried to restore the data from the backup but it received an error saying "backup is corrupted ".

Any idea what to do at this point ?  is there any tool that can fix the corrupted backup.  The old phone is gone i can't not create another backup. The only available backup we have is the one that says corrupted.

Thank you,

Office 365 setup. Default iPhone mail/calendar apps. Settings are correct on the app.

The user is experiencing random/intermittent sync problems. For instance, a meeting will be updated in Outlook, but the change doesn't sync. Certain mails don't arrive in inbox. Move that mail into a different folder and it appears. I've double checked all the settings and they appear fine. I deleted the calendar data, added again and the change in meeting synced no problem. It keeps happening though. Can anyone suggest something that I can do to prevent this?

Hi,

Our iPad and iPhone safari bookmark are not syncing.  Yet we can each other recent tabs (it seems as that part is syncing).

How can we sync safari bookmark on these 2 devices (latest iOS version both)

My iPhone is linked to my Exchange account so all my contacts are synced with Exchange. I don't use iCloud contacts at all.

Yesterday I installed and ran the OWA app on my phone and now all of my contacts are duplicated on my phone. If I go into any contact, I see that at the bottom there is a LINKED CONTACTS section with two entries: iPhone and Exchange.

The iPhone ones all have this note:

"This contact information was synchronized from Exchange. If you want to change the contact information, please open OWA and make changes there."

Regrettably, that note is also what shows up on the main screen of every contact, too.

Is there a way to delete all the iPhone copies so I have only the Exchange version of the contact again?

Thanks in advance.

Apple lovers, September is around the corner.  Are you excited to see what Apple's been working on the last few months!?

I'm eagerly awaiting news on the latest iPhone.  The iOS 11 features coming out look promising too.

Same here! So many rumors have come out about the next iPhone it almost feels like they've already announced it... It being the 10th anniversary iPhone has kicked the hype into overdrive.

And I'm definitely looking forward to iOS 11 as well. For me, one of the most interesting things is how they're doing the new dock—very Mac OS X-like.

Anything in iOS 11 that you're looking forward to most?

I really want to use Apple Pay so that feature in Messages looks cool.  I'm stuck with Venmo as a pay system and don't really want to be.  And a lot of business I've used in this area don't really appear to cater to Apple Pay, which is a bummer.  Ideally, I would like my phone to be my digital wallet then I don't have to carry credit cards anymore!

Hi,

I have a user with iPhone 5E and iOS version 10.2.1.

I am trying to add an email (Exchange 2007) to her iphone but it keeps showing certificate not trusted. I have tested the same email account on another iphone with same iOS version but different model and it works okay. I have deleted the account and re-added it but no success.

When adding an account on her phone, it says "cannot verify server identity" but error is caused by the certificate not trusted error.

Please see the attached. There isn't even a menu Trust at the top.

Does anyone know about iTalk?

i recorded some choral performances by my choir with iTalk on my iPhone 5E, and would now like to move the files from my iPhone to a PC for editing and distribution.  But I can't find the files on my phone, and googling iTalk doesn't bring up any useful information.

Anyone know what to do?

Client has just traded in their BMW.  Their iPhone was paired with the car by Bluetooth.

How do we make sure that all the private data, contact information, navigation history, is securely removed from the car?

Thanks.

How can we sync Tasks/Reminders time entered when creating an entry either in the computer  (via https://www.icloud.com/#reminders) or the  iPhone (v7 plus IOS  10.3.3).  The problem I am having when creating a task in the iPhone for 1am and when checking the computer it says 2am.  If we  create the task in the computer for 1am the iphone is register as 12am.  We are assuming its a Region issue - if we check the computer, it says Time Zone 'UTC-06:00) Central America' and  the iPhone only is "Set Automatically".  What we need is that whether a task/reminder is created, it should have the same date/time in both devices.

My company is currently using the standard Mail app that comes with the iPhone but now have the need for a more advacnced app with additional features. Since our  Office is more Mobile  we need quicker ways to do the same thing on the iphone
Items needed:
Quickly move mail from inbox  to sub folders without scrolling down through all other folders.
So if I want to move an e-mail from my inbox to a subfolder that starts with a Z I need to manually scroll up til I get to the Z's.
Is there a way to just type Z and all the z folders show up and then choose it.

Need to be able to view, Search and save files in Exchange Archive Mailbox
Appreciate your Help.

My parents are both on t-mobile and both have iPhone 5s.
Occasionally their voicemails come few hours late.  Text messages are even worse.  Once I reboot one of their phones and received a dozen of texts messages from two weeks ago.

Is that an issue with t-mobile network or something else?  This is in US.
Thanks.

My wife and I both use an iphone and gmail.
What is the best way for me to share important dates like our child's school timetable for the year, if I enter this directly into my iphone calendar rather than into my gmail calendar?  In the iphone calendar there is no share option even though I have access to her email inbox on her phone.  Does this all have to be driven by Google calender?

Also is there no way to categorise a calendar event on the iphone?

I have the situation where my 3 Mac computer all sync text shortcuts perfectly. My iPhone can receives text replacements made on my Macs, but if I create one on my iPhone, the other devices don't get it.  It's like the other devices have a 2-way street between them, but my iPhone has a one way ( incoming ) street only.

For some strange reason a task that was super simple, just some clicks and done, has become a headache: incomplete iCloud restore.

We have backed up our iPhone 7 Plus (latest iOS) via the cloud, not iTunes.  Then opened up a new iPhone and did a iCloud restore.

When done, missing apps like whatapps, Viber, etc. and most important, all the emails are missing.  The strangest thing is that the usual iCloud restore we do, we see the apps being download and the emails "number" increasing; hence a proper restored from iCloud.

Please advice what may be going on and how to fix.
