I've set certain future events in my iphone calendar e.g. Renew passport in Oct 2021 but when I do a Callander keyword search for passport, it doesn't appear.

Is the calendar set to only search a short date time frame?
Hi, I baught an iPhone 7 through a family plan at atnt and I am not the account owner of the atnt account (just a "family member"), so I have no real control over the account that I am a part of. I am not tech savvy at all only what Ive learned on my own through the years. And this is my first Apple device. So when I first tried to set up my apple account on day of purchace I was not successful, and it took over a week for me to get my phone set up with apple account. Now a year later Ive had this device now, Ive had several privacy problems with this device, and learned that (I believe) I was added to the family plan as a minor. I am 57 yrs old. This friend whos plan I joined due to my present financial difficulties has 2 sons that are advanced in the field of technology, and the oldest having several degrees in technology, can write code, has been emlpoyed as an IT for a financial company, is very much "in the know " about tech, and who is the admin of the home wireless network (wireless) that I often connect to . Now I do alot of research on the internet and have tried to learn as much as possible about protecting my privacy as possible, especially under these circumstances, but I have found ( without a doubt ) that Ive been being served up false web pages/sites on my device, especially on this topic but also on many others also. I am not sure if what they are doing in order to "gaslight" me is even legal but regardless Im at the end of my rope with all of this and just …
Here's the use case:

iOS 11 on iPhone form factor
Mobile Safari
WebRTC (web not native, they are different somehow)

- WebRTC video is blank and no audio
- Does not ask for permission to use the camera or audio
- Used to work in an early iOS 11 developer beta
- Same code works on iOS tablets and MacOS desktop Safari

Seems to be broken in iOS on a phone form factor only (iPhone/iPod Touch).

What could be different?
Apple is one of the frontrunning mobile platforms. Hiring iOs App developers is not like a walk in the park. There are several aspects you need to consider before hiring one for crafting your app. Here are few things to know before you hire an iPhone developer for custom iPhone App.

I have a client with SBS2011 with Exchange 2010.  They have 6 users with iPhone 7’s.   All the phones were able to connect with their Exchange accounts and send/receive e-mail until the server self-issued cert was reissued/renewed.  Now 3 of them are not able to send or receive.   In an attempt to get the owner’s working, I used Safari to get the new cert by going to the domain https (didn’t work), deleted the Exchange account and re-created the account (also didn’t work).   I keep getting an error (Cannot Verify Server Identity : The identity of “server.mydomain.com” cannot be verified by Exchange.) – only two choices are presented “Details” and “Cancel”, there is no third choice to continue anyway.

Do I need to download the certificate to the phone or will it just come down by itself?   Or what is the correct procedure to get the cert on the phone?

I have tried several times to enter and reenter but can’t seem to get this to work.   I have tried googleing to find information but haven’t been successful so far, so I decided to go the “Experts”.   On the owner’s account, I also deleted the phone partnership in the Exchange Management Console.   Also the internal domain has a .local extension so I can’t use a third party trusted certificate (thanks Microsoft).

Below is all the information for this account with their domain redacted as “mydomain”.
Please help me: what is the correct settings for these iphones?

Redacted Information:
Full server computer name: …
Fast Fields and GoFormz alternative.  We are in the process of looking into alternative applications for our department.  Right now we are using Fast Fields, but we need a better alternative.  We were looking into GoFormz but would like to try out better alternatives.
1. Ease of use so that our developers and users can pick it up quickly.
2. Works for Android, IPad or IPhone.
3. Work Form easy to develop and deploy.
4. Work flow to pass work back and forth among users and workers.
-- Send out work. Maybe a checkbox trigger or alternative.
-- Work received by worker.  Maybe a checkbox that triggers an email worker has received work.
-- Work completed by worker. Email work has been completed.

This is probably asking the impossible from a (rotten) Apple device, but here goes...

I want to help someone backup some very long Whatsapp chat history, there's the "Export chat" option which creates a huge file which then can be uploaded to Onedrive or wherever, if you have a few hours to leave your phone doing this.

Instead, I'd like to just save the file on the phone, and then move it to a PC via USB (or maybe local WIFI). Apple lets you copy your photos via USB, maybe there is an app that makes other files visible the same way?

I have tried an app called Airtransfer for a wifi method, but it didn't work, the file arrived empty. Maybe there is a trick i missed.

Any suggestions welcome.

My boss has a new iPhone8. I've set him up to access the IMAP server at the office. Inbox works just fine and he can send messages. The problem is that the Sent and Trash folder on the iPhone do no synchronize with the server. Apparently, this is not an uncommon problem since I've found lots of posts about it. However, none of the instructions I've found so far seem to work. How do I do this?

The mail server is Dovecot IMAP. The iPhone is using the normal mail facility, nothing special or 3rd party. The selected server setup is 'Other'. Inbox synchronization works. Messages deleted on the iPhone, and sent messages are not synchronized with the corresponding folders on the IMAP server.

how to edit text message distribution list

I have an iphone 8 running the latest IOS

I have a group of people I text regularly and would like to add and delete people from distribution how do i do this?
I have a Droid phone. When my internet is down I turn on my hotspot and connect my laptop to the phone's hotspot. For this to work I need to turn off WIFI so my phone uses cellar connection. If I keep WIFI on, the phone tries to go out the WIFI which does not have internet.

I have been told that this configuration does not work with an IPhone. You need to keep the WIFI on or the hotspot will not work.

How can the IPhone hotspot work if it is connected to WIFI that does not have internet access? Does the IPhone realize there is not an Internet so it knows to  go out the cellular connection? Why would it not work if WIFI is off?
iPhone 6s+ exchange account - active sync setup completes with no errors, but no email flow
I own an iPhone 5SE. I'm not sure which version of iOS I'm running, but I know it was updated within the last weeks.

While lying on my desk, my phone suddenly started talking. I don't remember what was being said, but when I picked up the phone there were messages scrolling up the screen. I'm not sure that the phone's vocalizations corresponded to the text. Most of the messages I saw were exhorting me to call someone. For example, "Call Ryan." I don't know whether any of the names represented people I actually know, because the messages did not include last names.

When I saw a message about Apple Pay, I decided it was time to shut down the phone. It sure feels like my phone has been hacked. At this point, I'm afraid to turn it back on. If a reset will fix the problem, I'm willing to wipe everything out and start from scratch. I'm guessing that someone at the Sprint store or an Apple Store could help. What do you recommend?
User has iPhone, iPad and Dell Windows 10 with Outlook 2016.
The three devices are not synchronizing deleted emails properly.
They have Comcast email which shows IMAP setup on all three devices.

If they delete from iPad, message is removed from Outlook but not iPhone
If they delete from iPhone, message is removed from Outlook but not iPad
If they delete from Outlook, message is not removed from either iPhone or iPad

What should I check?   Thanks.
I have someone using an Iphone 7.  She has an Icloud calendar.  She had sent herself an invitation to her work email using Outlook. (connected to an Exchange server)  I don't use an Iphone so I am unsure of what it should be doing.   At first she said she couldn't sync back and forth.  Now she is saying she used to be able to but it just quit, but that the problem is with Outlook and not her phone..  She said she has a way to read it now.  Here's what she emailed me:
"Outlook isn’t letting me join it – it doesn’t work. It’s not my phone-  it’s our computer/server that has the issue. We somehow get it to be “Fixed” for a while- and then it just stops working all of a sudden. "
What she is said in a previous email is this:
This is how I “join” the calendar (see below) – officially (so it gives me updates as I make them) – but this stopped working so I tried to redo it and now it won’t work.
I also found a way to get a read only copy which is what I’m using now, but that way won’t update and so it’s just an old read-only version and isn’t helpful.

So I am a little out of the loop on this.  I can't tell her something won't work since she has told me it has before.

Any help would be appreciated.
We have an AlienWare/Dell desktop with an 512 GB PCIe that will not boot up. It attempts to start the "Automatic Repair" process but we are not sure if that will delete all of our files. Does anyone know if the Automatic repair process will delete all of our files as part of that process? More specificlly we need to recover two iPhone backups stored in the User/App Data/Roaming/Apple Computer/MobileSync/Backup directory.

We also were able to remove the PCIe drive and attach it to our Tableau PCIe Write Blocker. That allowed us to view the drive via Windows Explorer but the damn App Data directory was  locked up tight via Windows 10 permissions.

This is getting very frustrating. I am thinking about letting Windows run Automatic Repair and then manually accessing the iPhone backup files we need and then just copying it out 'live'.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you,

I need to recognize special pictures in my app and depending what picture it recognized I need to start different outcomes.
Is there a method or component to use the phone's camera for reading a picture and then recognize it?

(it needs to run for both Android and iPhone).

Thank you
We have a big challenge activating an app to our hundreds of corporate iPhones & iPads:
our MTP vendor Lookout said the users need to manually tap on the app that we push
down by MDM MobileIron.

Users simply ignore or can't follow email instructions to tap so I'll need to explore a way
that we can auto-activate the Lookout app or push down an already activated app :
is this possible?  Just like SCCM could auto-push down patches to Windows.

If it can't be auto-activated the moment it's being deployed/pushed down, is this a
limitation of IOS, MDM or the Lookout app?

The ipa is integrated with our MobileIron.  The Lookout app  (& icon) is pre-licensed,
not the copy from Appstore which will require users to enter the license/serial key.

Is there a free text to speech app for iphone that works pretty well and has a voice that sounds like a human and not a computer?  I also want it to be able to import from one drive or another file sharing program.  Any good ones out there?
I am having a problem with my iPhone as I need to go back to my call log and it seems that the iPhone displays "only" the last 100 calls..
Which is problematic for me as I bill my customer by the hour and would like to have a call log that is at least a month old !

Any idea how to fix this ? or any third party tool ?
