If I buy an iPhone X, what is the maximum resolution for an external monitor?  Will it run a 4K monitor at 3840x2160?

We are an Microsoft Exchange environment .  We use Active sync to sync our 80 devices (iphones and Samsung galaxies) with exchange, Periodically ( 2 or 3 times a year ) I would delete/cleanup old  c$\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\W3SVC1 and also the W3SVC2 and W3SVC3 folders. They would have a tremendous amount of files and each file could be 30 MB or so.
Now in those folders the files are over 300 MB each and I have to cleanup these folders monthly.
I understand these are log files,  Is my exchange server a problem ? or are some of the smartphones having problems ?
What can I look at to see why these files have now grown 10 times what they were.

Any info is appreciated

We have a series of music in our iPhone music apps uploaded via Syncois apps (we connect the iPhone to the pc and transfer music).  However, if we don’t assign the uploaded music to a playlist, after a while it’s not visible.  We open Syncios and we can see the music in the folder.

How can we see those “hidden” music?

Is there an add on or a way to get a call for certain Outlook calendar events? I get meeting overload and don’t want to miss the most important ones so would like to get a call for those as it’s easy to miss an Outlook or smartphone pop up where there are so many other pop ups got other things

What is the best, easiest way to back up regular text messages (not iMessages) from an iPhone before you clean it and restore factory settings for a trade in?

We have a user that uses her iPhone to record her short travel routes.  The problem she wants to improve is keeping the iPhone recording while doing other task on the mobile (for example quick tasks like anwering/making calls, searching google, using siri, etc.).

In other words, is there an apps for iPhone for recording videos and that also can stay in the background?  (that is that if the user needs to do another task, the recording doesn't stop including receiving/making calls).

Dear Community,

We have Exchange 2013 on premises environment. Users can send/ receive emails through Outlook client and OWA with attachment up to 20 MB. While users who are trying to send emails with attachment through iPhone - they can't do that.

Please note while we tested it on Android devices, there were no issues. It is only happening on iPhone devices.

While we were searching for this solution - we found out this link: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh529949(v=exchg.150).aspx

Which says, we need to make change in Webconfig file - i would like to know, if anyone have done this or is there any better solution available for this issue. please suggest.

Hi
I have found Xamarin cross-platform, mobile device IDE
It seems to be real, working for every device type, Android, iOs ..iPhone, Windows

As introduced by this dude here

The coding is apparently done in Visual Studio? for C#   I'll need to rent the latest version, or get my client to pay rent for it.
I still have Vis Studio from mid 90's - CS 455 days  If I rent the Mac version of Windows.Visual.Studio, will that be foolish, for an app development on a MacBook?

Anyway, this is apparently a good solution for cross-platform PDA development. Is the interpreter set for Tablets, also?
Would you agree? Hackable? crashing problems?

Thanks

Hi
We've had an idea in our project for a phone app that displays pics and receives a user's opinion of the pic with a sliding scale.

It would be a benefit if it could work on all phones / devices
What are the cross-platform solutions, considerations for this?

Thanks

I transferred the Solid State Drive to a similar PC and loaded the system without incident, but iMessage does not work.

There seems to be a problem connecting to iCloud or Contacts, since if I create  New text message, typing into the To: field does not bring up Intellisense. By this I mean, it does not mater what I type, not contacts pop up. If I try and paste a phone number, it disappears.

What must I do to get it working again on this other machine?

Thanks.

We have an iPhone and the password was lost. So the phone is locked. It was purchased in the USA and desire to ship it to Cambodia or Vietnam.

What does the locked means for them in one of those places and anything about a 5c that will be an issue?

before I switch carriers from sprint to
verizon, att, tmobile

which
verizon, att, tmobile
works with both

all three?

not my phone; any phone in general

I am looking for a carrier that allows me to browse internet and make a phone call at the same time.

I need to save MS Word and PDF documents to my iPad and iPhone for reference in upcoming meetings.   I emailed myself the documents, which open fine, but when I try to save them I get the option of where to save them ... I don't use iCloud, so I selected to save it to "Save to Files" on my devices.  With both my iPhone and iPad (both with updated operating systems) nothing appears to happen when I select the location, and subsequently the files don't appear when I try to access them through my "Files" app or my Adobe PDF Reader.  Please advise.

Thanks,

Phil

If your answer is factory reset, please skip this question.

User reported a problem for iPhone 7.

On iOS 11.0.2, outgoing phone call  can be made but no incoming phone call could be made.

On iOS 11.0.3, the situation is reverse. No outgoing phone call could be made whereas sometimes incoming phone calls can be made.

However, if the user dials a USSD code which is carrier-specific, it will be OK to dial an outgoing call for once.

Already contacted the carrier and the SIM card is fine on another Android phone or iPhone.

How to fix without factory reset?

Phone call is a basic feature of a smartphone and I have not encountered similar problem in any Android phones.

We have Exchange 2010 and Office 2010.  We've always had intermittent problems with calendars not syncing properly on our Iphones (mostly 6S and 7's).  Sometimes you would see some calendar info, but not all of it.  Usually if we turned the calendar function off and back on or if we deleted and recreated the mail account it would resolve itself.  Some of our staff have IOS 10 and some have 11 - it doesn't seem to matter which one we have.

However, nothing is working and there is absolutely nothing on the calendar.  We've deleted all of the old devices in Exchange, have deleted and recreated the mail account and still nothing.

Does anybody have any ideas??

I did install the MS outlook app and the calendar works fine there.  However, no one wants to use that app!  We may have to insist on it, but want to see if there are ideas out there for active sync.

We have a new install of Exchange Server 2016. We're able to send and receive email.

OWA works fine internally, however I'm unable to do the same externally or setup my exchange on my iPhone.

Hello,

I just created a tool/calculator for my wife to use at work. I used VBA and Userform in Excel (input text boxes and sliders, and then several outputs). Once I got it working, she informed me it would really only be useful if she can access/run this calculator on her iPhone or iPad on the go. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

Free Tool: IP Lookup

Free Tool: IP Lookup

Get more info about an IP address or domain name, such as organization, abuse contacts and geolocation.

One of a set of tools we are providing to everyone as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community.

Here's the scenario:

Corporate setting with multiple VLANs and HP MSM720 WAPs that are configured with multiple SSID for those VLANs. Mail is Exchange 365. Everything used to work fine. I'm not exactly sure when the issue started, but the only change to the network which may have happened around the same time is the ISP changed some of their equipment and assigned a new IP.

The problem is that phones (Android or iPhone) that are connected to WiFi -- on any VLAN -- are unable to send email attachments when using the native mail client on the phones. This is not a size issue. Attachment can be 66 bytes, and the message will just sit in the Outbox. (On an Android phone, you get a "Send Failed" message as well. Not sure about iPhone.)

To clarify, if the user tries using a Gmail account and sending via the Gmail app or via the native app, they can send an attachment. If they use their 365 account in the Outlook app, they can send an attachment. The attachments only fail when using 365 through the native mail clients on Android and iPhone.

We also have the issue with scan to email on the multi-function printer. It can send an email with a link to the scanned document, but it can't send the scanned document.

Firmware on the WAPs is up-to-date, and there hand't been any updates until after this issue began. Firewall firmware is up-to-date. Everything has been rebooted.

"Don't use the native mail app" is not a valid solution.

This is a really weird one. Any help …

I've juste installed IOS11 on my iphone 5s.   After reboot, it blanked my iphone.  No more picture, no more phone contacts, nothing!
So i wanted to restore a backup, but no matter which password i'm using, it keep saying that the password is incorrect.
I've tried:
  • The password to unlock the phone (the old one, with 4 digits)
  • The password to unlock the phone (the new one, with 6 digits)
  • My Apple ID password

The backup seems to done automatically Before the upgrade to IOS11, but it never asked for a password.

Anyone can help about this?   Which password do i have to provide!?  Is there any other password than the 3 i've mentionned above?  I'm not the kind of guy who don't remember his password.

Thanks

I'm trying to get a text thread (with someone with a droid? their text bubbles are green) off an iphone. Yes, we can do screen captures of each page.  that's tedious and kinda long.

I looked on line and played with ifunbox and a couple other apps / iphone file browsers (phone is NOT jailbroken (is that a thing these days)).

None of those were successful / I didn't even know where to look for the thread.

But one - ibackup viewer has a free and paid version. Using the free version, it had me backup the phone with itunes then it read the backup file and easily let me export the thread as text - cute that it right and left justified the text from each person like it shows on the phone. And each was time stampld..

it also lets you export the conversation as a PDF with colored text bubbles. Very nice!!!.. but the free version says 'demo' all over it. Understandable. Lets you try the product and if you need that feature, you buy the app.

But anyone know of other apps that will do this (pull off conversation as text or even better as PDFs / more graphical). Free or paid.  Just want to know if I was using the free apps wrong or there's more fully featured paid apps before I lay out $$

THANKS!

Hello Experts,

Can someone let me know of any iPhone Apps that will allow me record conversations?

A number of years ago I decided I had to try an iPhone at least once. So, I purchased a 5S. I'm an avid cyclist and carry my phone with me during rides. It fits neatly in the middle jersey pocket, where it stays unless I need it.

During a recent ride my phone rang, so I pulled over to the side of the road to answer it. I didn't reach the phone in time, so I had to use the callback button. At the end of the call I tried hanging up, but was reminded that, more often than not, I'm unable to do so. What usually happens is that, at the end of a call, the screen starts flashing – which prevents me from accessing the hang-up button. Well, that's exactly what happened this time. I placed the phone back in my jersey pocket and continued my ride without giving it another thought.

A couple of hours later I heard talking coming from my iPhone. As I listened, I realized it was dictating instructions on what to do in the event I wanted to leave a message. I surmised that somehow a call had been initiated to a number which had redirected me to voicemail. Keep in mind that I had not touched the phone! I chose to ignore the phone and continue my ride.

When I finished the ride I got back in my car, where I expected the phone to automatically connect via Bluetooth. It wasn't until I tried to initiate a call that I discovered the phone had not connected. I assumed that the battery was depleted. Once I got home, my suspicion was confirmed.

I still have "landline" service from AT&T. …
