I'm getting rid of my Blackberry Classic and I just bought a new iPhone 6s.  I'm having a lot of trouble moving my contact information from Blackberry to my iphone.

I've managed to get the contacts exported into a csv file and I've cleaned it up so it's good data.  Now I just have to import that file into my iphone.

I found this suggestion:
https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-transfer-contacts-from-excel-to-an-iphone

It says that I need to first import the csv file into Microsoft Outlook.  Then, use iTunes to import from Outlook into iPhone.

But I was sortof trying to avoid installing iTunes on my new computer.  Or my phone, I suppose, for that matter.

There must be a straightforward way to import contact information from a csv file into my iPhone.  Help!

Thanks

Hi,

The voice memos app works fine, it records audio and plays it back, but when I record a video on my iPhone 5S, there is no sound.

I have already done a factory re-set.

Any advice welcome.

I've embedded a Google Calendar into our web site.  It works beautifully on a PC, but doesn't display fully, and you can't adjust it, on a Iphone.  What changes to the following code would I have to make?

<iframe src="https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=p5vrv1koi1c3fmpui8317jp76s%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Chicago" style="border: 0" width="1300" height="700" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

We are working with iPhone Tasks and Siri to  get them  to work together and was instructed to create an account in iPhone CalDAV.  Prior to  doing it we search what it is but still can't identify exactly.  Wiki says "Calendaring Extensions to WebDAV, or CalDAV, is an Internet standard allowing a client to access scheduling information on a remote server".  Since we are instructed to create it in our iPhone and add emails info, we wanted to know, besides what Wiki says it is, if its a an actual server location where our data being transmitted with Siri commands sent over to it.  Please advice.

Exchange 2016 on Server 2012 R2.

Exchange is working fine.

Mobile users, all on iPhone, can connect to the Exchange Server for mail when they are off site, but not while on site & connected to the LAN Wi-Fi.

If they turn Wi-Fi off, they connect (obviously via cellular)

Why can they not connet through the LAN Wi-Fi?

We have an app that detects if the device is a smart phone or tablet (vs. computer) and redirects accordingly to the "phone" version of the main page. It does that using this php code:

$loc = "form.php";
if(! empty($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'])){
		$useragent = $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'];
		if( preg_match('@(iPad|iPod|iPhone|Android|BlackBerry|SymbianOS|SCH-M\d+|Opera Mini|Windows CE|Nokia|SonyEricsson|webOS|PalmOS)@', $useragent) ){
			$loc = "phone.php";
		}
}
//echo "city tester no = " . $_SESSION['city_tester_no'] . "<br>";
//echo "loc = " . $loc . "<br>";
header("Location: " . $loc);
exit;

Open in new window

Until recently (last week?) this worked perfectly in all cases (to my knowledge).

Today, for my main customer, it goes to form.php when he accesses it from his iPhone 6.

When I access from my iPhone 6, it behaves in the desired way; goes to phone.php.

Why would this change?

Thanks

Hi All Expert,

Good Day.

I would like to check if there any way to Sync Windows Outlook 2013 Calendar to IPhone/IPad, I know office 365 can but my user is not using it. I have done a livechat with Applesupport and they have no clue, only asking me using icloud method but it needs to expanding storage which is something my user don't wann pay for. Appreciate if any expert here can advise me on.

Thanks!

I am having trouble getting my sites css to load on ios devices. I have noticed it on my iPhone 6 and another iphone and my client found it on their ipad as well on safari and chrome. The site loads perfectly on desktop and all other mobile devices that we have tested. I have loaded the iphone safari browser in the developer mode and see no errors. I have searched around and not found any solutions for it.

The site is https://www.staging.maxbotix.com

My goal is to setup email on my iphone to connect with Exchange server 2010.  I do have Exchange ActiveSync enabled on the server.

So I went to https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com to run a couple of tests. The exchange Activesync test passed! The Autodiscovery gave messages below so wondering if this means that I CANNOT connect until these issues are resolved or does it mean that I have to manually plug in the info and then it should work since autodiscovery won't work?

I need to do a lot of parallel parking in really tight parking spaces in places like San Francisco.

Please provide me with a list of small cameras that I can have mounted to the back of my car (by the license plate) that will then broadcast (using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) to an Android or iPhone so that I will be able to accurately determine and safely be able to backup my car.

I would like to buy a selfie stick for my iPhone 6 if it let me take pictures in a different perspective, and not of myself.

Sometimes, I want to be a few feet taller.

Can it be used for this?

What is the longest one I could get?

Can it secure my phone safely?

Thanks

A customer of mine has a problem where he often loses small items (such as keys and Bluetooth headsets).

We are looking to find the best system where a chip can be put on these small items and then these items can be located using an Android or Apple iPhone.

What are some of the best systems for doing this?

I was having twitter forward tweets to my cell phone as SMS messages. I signed up for loads of news sites and got a message about 200 messages / day limit...

Then I got the twitter app for IOS and was getting the messages on my lock screen from both twitter and messages. I turned off forward messages to phone.

Then in last couple days, I stopped getting any tweets.

was there an update in ios twitter account?    I went into the twitter app and see a bell with check icon.  (was it there before) checked that and a window labeled account notificiations was set to none. I changed that to all tweets now I get the tweets twice.

how do I only get tweets from only the ios app and showing up on the lock screen on the iphone?

Hello Everyone --

We are currently deploying certificates (CBA) for our environment and ran into an issue with iOS devices.  For Android devices, we have exported the certificate (with private key) and installed it on the device for authentication.  Within the client, you can specify the certificate you want to use.

Now we are trying to deploy it on iOS devices.  We e-mailed the certificate to the iOS (10.3.2) device and installed it.  It shows up as a certificate under Profiles.  However, when we blank out the password under the mail account, it doesn't seem to be picking up the certificate in the native email client.  We tried reinstalling the certificate as well as recreating the account from scratch.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
