I'm working on an iPhone app, phone only, that will utilize portrait mode only. I'm about to order some background graphics and I want to get the sizing and aspect ratio correct for the different screen sizes. What is the correct way to communicate this to the graphics artist?

Thanks!

I had this iphone from work, and I upgraded it to a new one. I backup my phone in the cloud and I restored the new one with data from the cloud, and it works fine. Now I want to erase the old one, it has no SIM in it, but when I go to Reset - Erase all data, I get a message that this phone is doing an update and if I want to interrupt it or wait and then reset the phone. What can that be all about? If I erase the phone I will not lose any data from the cloud right?
Thanks

I have a client who had an iPhone and upgraded to a newer model iPhone yesterday.  The iPhone is connected to the Verizon network, as was the prior phone.  The tech copied the Exchange account to his new phone.  Last evening, he told me that he was not getting or sending mail from the new phone.
Here are the facts:
1.      Old phone worked with his exchange account yesterday morning
2.      New Phone was setup with the exact same parameters by the Verizon Tech
3.      Emails do not work - we get an error saying “Cannot get mail”.
4.      Set his account on my iPhone and got the same error (so it is not the phone.)
5.      Of the 35 users on the Exchange Server, no other use has smartphone issues.
6.      When I change the account on my phone to a "support" account, it works, so the problem is specific with his account.
7.    His Desktop Outlook and OWA work properly.

The user is about to leave for a business trip (tomorrow) and really needs the phone to work.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rich

Hi

I am trying to clean up my contacts in IOS 12.x

So my initial step was to reset the iPhone to factory defaults, keeping icloud off completely. So absolutely no contacts on the pjhone at all.

Then I cleaned up my personal contacts in Outlook to just what I want. Then I deleted my autocomplete file in my profiles roamcahce directory. No suggestions are put forward when I type a letter in a new email. So far so good.

So now I set up my Exchange account which went OK. When I start to type an email address on my iPhone it shows literally hundreds of old emails addresses which I was trying to delete. Looking at the contacs app under contacs there are just my Outlook contacs, good, but there is another group called suggested contacts which contains all these mails. Even if I deselect this group and just have contacts ticked , when I start typing an address it shows everything.

Where is this junk stored in Outlook? It is not the autocomplete file as I deleted that. It must be outlook as I did an iPhone fiull erase and reset, set up as a new phone and made sure nothing Icloud was enabled. To be sure I user my laptop to log into icloud to check what contacts I had there and there were only 4.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Someone emailed a bunch of photos (as attachments) to my mon's iPhone. She needs to put these photos on her PC. Any idea how this can be done?
For some reason my mom's phone does not get Internet, so I'm unable to download any apps that might get this job done.

I have an iPhone and a PC. Now that iTunes doesn't deal with apps, I'm wondering how to backup the data and settings in the apps on my phone.

I'm not worried about apps that are just portals to online storage. Nor am I worried about the (relatively few) apps that use iCloud Drive.

I'm thinking of the apps that store their files on my phone.

So, I have a few questions:

1. Does iTunes backup the data for these apps when I do a phone backup?

2. If not, what would you recommend to backup my app data?

3. Does iTunes backup the settings for these apps when I do a phone backup?

4. If not, what would you recommend to backup my app settings?

5. Also, I used to be able to use iTunes to drag and drop files from these apps to/from my computer. Now that iTunes has no way to access Apps, I can't do this. Is there another PC-based program that I can use to drag and drop files from apps to my computer?

Thanks in advance.

Dear Experts,

I used to be able to make conference call from my iPhone, and all of a sudden I cannot.  I have opened a ticket with my carrier (Verizon) and tried to troubleshoot, but they could not help.  My phone is iPhone X, with iOS version 11.4.1.

Please advise.

Can I buy used iphone in US and use in different country?  Or does it have to be unlocked because there could be a different service in other countries.  GSM vs. CDMA for example.
Please advice.

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

My fiancee's new iPhone 6 came today.  At this point, we wish to give the iPhone 6 the same telephone number as her old iPhone 5 by simply removing the Nano-SIM card from the iPhone 5 and putting it into the iPhone 6.  We should be able to do this from what I gather from a previously closed post because we are not changing carriers.  With everything said, I am wondering what other things, other than the old telephone number, that are stored on the Nano-SIM card.  Are pictures, videos, music, contact list, etc. also stored on this card?

Any feedback given to this question will be appreciated and welcomed.

          Thank you

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am wondering if the charging port of an iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 can be used as a data port.  The reason I ask is that I wish to transfer or backup data stored on the iPhone 5 to my laptop and transfer it to the iPhone 6 when it arrives.  The charging port is the only USB like port I see on it, which I am assuming is micro-USB because it is too small to be a standard USB port.  That said, I believe I will need a micro-USB to standard USB cable.  My USB ports on this laptop are 2.0 and not 3.0.

       Thank you

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

My fiancee is getting ready to upgrade from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6 which brings me to the point of this upcoming question.   How can she keep her old telephone number on the iPhone 5 when she upgrades to the iPhone 6?  In other words, can she possibly transfer her old telephone number to the new iPhone 6?  Her carrier is AT&T.

           Thank you

Hi, my personal assistant is on a Mac and she use some integrated Mac OS snipping tool and pastes the pics into her email for illustrating whatever problem.  The problem is no one sees her illustations.  On my iphone it simply says "image", on my PC it shows the error message below; and all outside clients say the same thing.  We can't view her snips.  What is she doing wrong?

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

My fiancee wishes to back up her pictures stored on an iPhone 5s to a new Alcatel idealEXTRA Android Version 8.1.0 which brings me to this upcoming question of interest.  Is it possible to hook up a small USB storage device about the size of a flash drive to the iPhone 5s, back up the pictures to it, disconnect it, plug it into the Alcatel idealEXTRA and transfer or copy the pics to it?  If there is such an external storage device for backing up and transferring pictures between phones, could someone provide an online purchase link?

             Thank you

iOS 12.1.2. This AM when I attempted to attach a YouTube link to a message via the iMessage app--nothing happened. That is, YouTube wouldn't load in messages, though I can open it via the "basic" screen icon, and download links from vids I open there into messages.

Yes, I closed and reopend the Messages app. Yes, I rebooted the phone. Yes, all other message apps work.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Hello Experts - I have two phones, one Galaxy S9 for personal use and one iPhone 6s for work.  I'm wondering if there is an app or setting I can use that will forward all of my calls and SMS texts from my work phone to my personal phone.  I see a few apps that are more geared towards spying/monitoring that might work but I figured its worth asking before I get into that.

I have a weird question. We recently moved from In House exchange over to office 365 and since the move we have had some users (not all) complain about contacts messing up. We will have users that have a contact with a phone number in it and all of a sudden the phone number will no longer show under the contact. I have made sure all the contact is wrong in OWA as well when the issue is reported to me. This is happening to users on both iPhones and Android, and the contacts that are missing the info are also on multiple device types, it's not just iPhone or Android. I have run the reports in Office 365 and don't see any unusual activity but it is becoming a widespread problem. Any Ideas?
